After a prolonged legal battle, the city of Uvalde, Texas, has released a series of audio and video recordings connected to the tragic 2022 mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. The devastating event claimed the lives of 21 individuals, including 19 students and two adults. These recordings, made public following a lawsuit filed by several news outlets, including the Associated Press, CNN, and the Austin American-Statesman, offer a chilling glimpse into the chaos and fear that unfolded during the horrific event. Among the communications released were 911 calls made during the shooting, capturing the desperate pleas of students and teachers trapped inside the school. One of the most heart-wrenching calls was made by 10-year-old Khloie Torres, who was trapped in a classroom where the gunman, 18-year-old Salvador Ramos, had opened fire. "Please, I don't want to die. My teacher is dead. Oh my God," Khloie told the dispatcher, describing the scene around her with a trembling voice. "A lot of people are gone," she added, referring to the many victims who had already succumbed to the gunman's bullets. The recordings also revealed the chaos and confusion among law enforcement as they attempted to respond to the crisis. The police response included nearly 150 U.S. Border Patrol agents, 91 state police officials, as well as school and city police. Despite the overwhelming presence of law enforcement, the response was slow and disorganized, with dozens of officers standing in the hallway, uncertain of their next move. Meanwhile, terrified students and teachers continued to make desperate 911 calls, begging for help as the gunman continued his deadly rampage. The gunman, Salvador Ramos, entered Robb Elementary School at 11:33 a.m., first firing shots from the hallway before entering two adjoining fourth-grade classrooms. The first officers arrived minutes later, but they retreated after Ramos opened fire on them, leaving the children and teachers inside to fend for themselves. As the minutes ticked by, the Uvalde Police Department's radio traffic remained focused on setting up a perimeter around the school, controlling traffic, and managing the crowd of desperate parents who had gathered outside, pleading for officers to go in and save their children. At 12:06 p.m., the chaos was still palpable as officers struggled to establish a command post, with one officer lamenting that they lacked the manpower to both manage the perimeter and deal with the situation inside. "They're trying to push in," one officer said, referring to the frantic parents outside. By 12:16 p.m., a SWAT team from Austin, located 162 miles away, was en route to the scene, but local police still struggled to provide coherent information about the situation inside the school. It wasn't until 12:50 p.m., nearly 80 minutes after Ramos began his attack, that a tactical team finally entered one of the classrooms and fatally shot him. The delayed response has been heavily criticized in multiple reports, including a U.S. Justice Department review that highlighted the lack of urgency in establishing a command center, which led to confusion among officers about who was in charge. The report, along with other federal and state investigations, pointed to cascading failures in law enforcement training, communication, leadership, and technology. Some reports even questioned whether officers had prioritized their own safety over that of the children and teachers trapped inside. Adding to the tragedy, Ramos had shot and wounded his grandmother before driving to the school, where he carried out his attack. His uncle, Armando Ramos, made several frantic 911 calls, begging to be connected to his nephew in hopes of talking him down. "Everything I tell him, he does listen to me," Armando said, his voice cracking. "Maybe he could stand down or do something to turn himself in." His desperate pleas, however, came too late; by the time he made contact, the shooting had already ended, and Salvador Ramos had been killed by law enforcement. In the aftermath, two officers involved in the response have faced criminal charges. Former Uvalde School Police Chief Pete Arredondo and former school officer Adrian Gonzales have pleaded not guilty to multiple charges of child abandonment and endangerment. Arredondo, in a recent interview with CNN, claimed he has been “scapegoated” for the botched response. The release of these recordings has reignited conversations about accountability and the need for reform in law enforcement responses to critical situations. Families of the victims have called for more officers to be charged and have filed federal and state lawsuits against law enforcement, social media, online gaming companies, and the gun manufacturer that produced the rifle used by the gunman. As the legal battles continue, the community of Uvalde remains haunted by the events of that tragic day, with many still seeking justice for the lives lost. In a poignant display of anguish and frustration, Brett Cross, the uncle and legal guardian of Uziyah Garcia, one of the victims of the tragic Uvalde school shooting, was arrested during a charged confrontation at a Uvalde County Commissioners Court meeting. Uziyah Garcia was one of the 19 children and 2 teachers who lost their lives in the devastating mass shooting that unfolded at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, on May 24, 2022. The incident, which ranks among the worst mass shootings in U.S. history, shook the nation and left communities grappling with grief and questions about law enforcement's response. Video footage from the recent commissioners' meeting captured the raw emotions as Cross directed his anger towards former Uvalde Police Chief Mariano Pargas Jr., who was in office during the shooting. Cross's impassioned speech underscored the lingering pain and frustration over the slow police response that potentially cost lives on that fateful day. "How is it that there is a motion to approve minutes when he hasn't been here in the past two months?" Cross demanded, questioning Pargas's commitment and presence during critical moments. "We are paying a man's salary who refuses to do anything. You couldn't show up and see the children who survived." As Cross's speech escalated, commissioners urged him to refrain from using foul language, but his anguish spilled over into profanity. "Language, language, language. My child is (expletive) dead!" he exclaimed, his voice cracking with grief and anger. Cross's outburst resulted in his arrest by the Uvalde County Sheriff's Department on charges of disrupting a meeting or procession. However, he contends that his emotions were justified, expressing that his anguish over his son's death far outweighed any concerns about language. "Profane is burying your child, profane is picking out which cartoon character is going to be on their casket," Cross expressed in an interview following his release. "The F word is not." In response to the incident, the Uvalde Police Department clarified that they assisted in detaining Cross but were not directly responsible for his arrest. They reiterated their commitment to upholding the law and ensuring public safety, emphasizing their dedication to serving the community. As Cross grapples with the aftermath of his arrest, his impassioned plea for accountability serves as a poignant reminder of the ongoing trauma and unanswered questions that linger in the wake of the Uvalde school shooting. In his quest for justice and transparency, Cross echoes the sentiments of grieving families across the nation, demanding accountability and action to prevent future tragedies. TaraBulls Top 10, Uvalde report from DOJ, Hunter gets a mulligan, Biden art sales and EVs in the cold

The Alan Sanders Show

Today's show opens with a run through TaraBull's Top 10 news items from the week you probably never heard discussed on Legacy/mainstream media. It's a great way to do a look-back from the past week and see how many items this audience knew already because you choose to listen here to get a real sense of what's happening in the world. From there I move to the DOJ report on the abject failures of the Uvalde Police Department. I didn't bring it to you the day it dropped because long-time listeners already knew where they failed and how. It's nice to see it took the government over a year to come to the same conclusion I reached within a few weeks of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. I am not really happy with Rep. James Comer (R-KY) at the moment. He is on social media and the talking head programs bragging about finally getting Hunter Biden to commit to a behind closed doors deposition. He and his staff have thus far ignored by attempts to find out why they are okay letting him off the hook for being in contempt of Congress? I think there can be more to the issue of having no border control than just a desire for a permanent under-class. While there is a thought that the global elites want to erase borders and divide the world into regions, I still believe the easiest way to achieve that is through having a permanent voting block. Also this week, though nothing new to this audience, we have even more evidence that Hunter Biden's art sales was just another illegal fleecing operation that ran through Joe Biden's White House. It's yet another example of the Biden Crime Family Syndicate in action. Switching to Davos and the collection of world elites, I play a sound bite from Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. Just as we do here on a daily basis, he breaks down five specific areas where the global elites are wrong and why someone like Donald Trump sees through their nonsense and will not support them. Before I hit my last two stories, I do take a moment to talk about serving your community. I think it is important and I share some of the non-profits where I serve and why I believe everyone should try to do something for others. As we wind down, I play a short news story from Chicago where Tesla drivers are not getting long charges, it's taking hours for re-charges and charging stations are just not working. EV's might be a great innovation, but when the government tries to force them on us in their command and control way, we see just how they are not ready to be the solution. Finally, just when we thought this week's earlier Deep Thoughts segment was a one-off, we discover VP Kamala Harris actually practiced the line and the delivery. It's just like on yesterday's show where she used the same phrase with both an ABC News reporter and then then next day on the View. In this case it looks like she needed to learn how to lie to GenZ to try to get their vote. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. At least 17 others were wounded.  Also, Vince takes a closer look at the Georgia run-off Senate race. See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

A new report by the Texas House of Representatives investigative committee on the Robb Elementary school mass shooting found that "systemic failures" and "poor decision making" failed to stop an 18-year-old shooter from killing 19 students and two teachers on May 24 in Uvalde, Texas. Some say it's disturbing to hear people attempting to make legitimate excuses for the Uvalde Police Department. Others feel that too much blame is being place on police officers, and not enough blame being placed on the leadership in Texas. What about mental health support services to assist those deeply affected by this tragedy? Last week, Uvalde County Commissioners approved allowing the Ecumenical Center to run a resilience center to help with counseling services for the family and victims of the mass shooting. In this episode, we hear from Texas law enforcement and mental health experts, as we take listener calls to uncover what happens when we put our faith in the police and other first responders to protect our children, but the systems we believe in fail. Guests: Mary Beth Fisk CEO / Executive Director of the Ecumenical Center for Education, Counseling & Health Chief Jimmy Perdue Chief Of Police, North Richland Hills Police Department President, Texas Police Chiefs Association Dr. Jeff Temple Psychologist, Director of the Center for Violence Prevention at UTMB Town Square with Ernie Manouse is a gathering space for the community to come together and discuss the day's most important and pressing issues. Audio from today's show will be available after 5 p.m. CT. We also offer a free podcast here, on iTunes, and other apps.

Continuing on through the bog, the heroes trudge through mud and an overwhelming stench. As they marched onward, the mud became thicker, and the stench grew worse. The vegetation in the area was dead, wilted over in the shape of snarled fingers. The rotting corpses of animals that couldn't escape the bog lay nearly preserved under the thick, marshy ground. The heroes were careful to watch each step they took, lest they stumble into a carcass that would suck them under. As they continued on, they spotted a raised area that appeared to be out of the mud. They found their footing and lifted themselves out of the marsh. The ground was still damp, so they placed down a barrier between the ground and their bed rolls. They set up a campfire, hoping it would burn away the odor that hung around them. It did not. Hiding away under their blankets, they talked about the pay-to-win scam that is Diablo Immortal, Season 3 of The Boys, and how the Uvalde Police Department is covering up what they did in the Robb Elementary school shooting.

The House Jan. 6 committee is set to hear from local officials who fended off Donald Trump's pressure to overturn the 2020 presidential election. The panel investigating the U.S. Capitol attack resumes Tuesday with testimony from Georgia Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger about Trump's call asking him to “find 11,780” votes to prevent Joe Biden's election victory. His deputy Gabe Sterling and Arizona's Republican state leader Rusty Bowers are also key witnesses. The panel will focus on how Trump pressured battleground state officials with schemes to reject state tallies and electors, all fueled by his false claims of election fraud. Documents examined by the Austin American-Statesman and KVUE-TV show armed police officers stood in a Uvalde elementary school hallway with at least one ballistic shield within 19 minutes of a gunman arriving at the school, where he killed 21 people, 19 of them children. The outlets' report, which did not indicate the source of the documents, nevertheless intensifies the anguish and questions over why police didn't act sooner to stop the May 24 slaughter in the Robb Elementary School classroom. The outlets reported that gunfire could be heard as much as 29 minutes before officers entered the classroom and killed the gunman. President Joe Biden has signed off on giving federal wildland firefighters a hefty raise for the next two fiscal years. The move announced Tuesday affects more than 16,000 firefighters and comes as much of the West braces for a difficult wildfire season. Pay raises for the federal firefighters had been included in last year's $1 trillion infrastructure bill, but they had been held up as administration officials studied recruitment and retention data to decide where to deliver them. Agencies are authorized to increase the base salary of federal wildland firefighters by $20,000 per year or 50% of their current base salary, whichever is lower. A giant stingray caught in the Mekong River last week is more than a giant — it is the biggest of them all. Scientists say the stingray that measured 13 feet from snout to tail is the world's largest recorded freshwater fish. It was documented by Wonders of the Mekong, a joint Cambodian-U.S. research project. The Mekong runs through China, Myanmar, Laos, Thailand, Cambodia and Vietnam. It is home to several species of giant freshwater fish, but environmental pressures are threatening their survival. Researchers say the fish's size is important because fish take time to mature. The stingray was implanted with a tracking tag before it was released back into the river. At the Stanley Cup Finals, The Lightning come back swinging, Red Sox rookie pitcher Josh Winckowski earns his way into the rotation, Atlanta breaks a tie with a ninth inning single, and the Brewers dominate in Milwaukee.  The nation's youngest children are getting their chance at vaccines for COVID-19. Shots began Monday at a few locations, though they were expected to ramp up after the Juneteenth federal holiday. The Food and Drug Administration cleared vaccines from Moderna and Pfizer last week and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention gave the final signoff over the weekend. Roughly 18 million youngsters under 5 are eligible. For the little kids, Pfizer's vaccine is three shots and Moderna's is two shots. Getting some parents on board may be a challenge given disappointing vaccination rates in school-age kids. President Joe Biden says he's considering a holiday on the federal gasoline tax. That could possibly save U.S. consumers as much as 18.4 cents a gallon. Biden indicated to reporters Monday that his decision could come by the end of the week. The administration is increasingly looking for ways to spare the public from higher prices at the pump, which began to climb last year and surged after Russia invaded Ukraine in February. Gas prices nationwide are averaging just under $5 a gallon, according to AAA. Taxes on gasoline and diesel fuel help pay for highways.  A college basketball player was killed and eight other people were wounded Monday in an early-morning shooting at a gathering in Harlem, New York City police said. Officers responded around 12:40 a.m. to reports of a shooting on a footpath along FDR Drive and found several people wounded. Other victims went to hospitals on their own. Twenty-one-year-old Houston Baptist University senior Darius Lee was killed, the Texas university said. The wounded included six males and two females. The shooting comes amid national concern over gun violence and as the U.S. Supreme Court is considering whether to strike down a law making it difficult to legally carry handguns in New York. A legislative committee investigating the deadly shooting at a Texas elementary school last month is set to hear more testimony from law enforcement officers. State Rep. Dustin Burrows, who is chairing the committee investigating the shooting at Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, says they will hear more witness testimony from the Uvalde Police Department, and will speak with another officer from the school district police and a member of the Department of Public Safety. After Burrows' opening statements Monday, the committee went into executive session, blocking the public from hearing witness testimony. WNBA co-owner Ginny Gilder says fighting for equal treatment as a rower at Yale 46 years ago radicalized her. Gilder says what she has learned from that experience of being discriminated against for the first time in her life has helped her succeed in the business world. As Title IX marks its 50th anniversary this year, Gilder is one of countless women who benefited from the enactment and execution of the law, translating those opportunities into becoming leaders in their professional careers. Any success the WNBA has had Gilder says is because of the law, pointing out that “we wouldn't exist as a league without Title IX." France has awakened to an ecstatic Marine Le Pen after her party's far-right candidates for parliament sent shockwaves through the political establishment. They helped deny President Emmanuel Macron's centrist alliance an absolute majority. Le Pen's National Rally party didn't win the two rounds of voting in the parliamentary election that ended Sunday. But it secured more than 10 times the seats it won five years ago. It was only a couple of months ago that Le Pen lost the presidential election to Macron. But now it was her turn to gloat on Monday since she knows she can use the seats in the National Assembly to thwart Macron's domestic agenda. Britain is facing its biggest rail strikes in decades after last-minute talks between a union and train companies failed to reach a settlement over pay and job security. Up to 40,000 cleaners, signalers, maintenance workers and station staff are due to walk out for three days this week, on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. The strike is expected to shut down the rail network across the country. Millions of people in Britain are seeing their cost of living soar, and unions say a new wave of strikes is likely if they don't get pay increases. The Conservative government says large raises will spark a wage-price spiral driving inflation even higher. —The Associated Press See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

Ramos got out of the vehicle with a long rifle and a backpack and wearing a tactical vest.  Ultimately  Ramos was engaged by two other officers from the Uvalde Police Department, but was able to gain entry into the school and began shooting.    Joining Nancy Grace Today: Kathleen Murphy - Family Attorney (North Carolina), NCDomesticlaw.com,  Twitter: @RalDivorceLaw  Caryn Stark - NYC Psychologist, CarynStark.com, Twitter: @carynpsych, Facebook: "Caryn Stark"   Joe Scott Morgan - Professor of Forensics: Jacksonville State University, Author, "Blood Beneath My Feet", Host: "Body Bags with Joseph Scott Morgan" David Katz - Former Senior Special Agent with the DEA, Founder and CEO: Global Security Group, Inc., Active Shooter Response Expert, Tony Plohetski - Investigative Reporter, Austin American-Statesman and KVUE (Austin, TX), Twitter: @tplohetski   See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.
