The show opens with me wondering if there is more to the propaganda than just getting us to think lies are true. What if it's about putting out so many lies, it become almost impossible to even know what truth is? And, once you accomplish that, how do you know the difference between right and wrong? We get updated trade deficit numbers today and they are even better than last week. Plus, the GDP has grown by over 4%. Is there really a fight between President Trump and Elon Musk? Are we going to allow “perfect” become the enemy of “good”? Is this a show to keep the news cycle focused on this spat instead of other stories? In a unanimous decision, the SCOTUS just ruled that any form of discrimination based on any demographic is against the law. But, on a different level of the judiciary, a district judge has just ruled to stop the illegal family of the fire-bomber from being deported. In a hearing on the Hill, the President and CEO of the National Council for Nonprofits, Diane Yentel, refused to answer questions by Rep. Brandon Gill (R-TX), even when he caught her in a catch-22. In her mind, she is owed taxpayer money, regardless of what they are doing. The BBC is falling into the same trap as Jake Tapper and the rest of the media. Telling us you reported someone else's lies doesn't absolve you of reporting the lie. I have a tip for Rep. James Comer (R-KY). Instead of constantly over-promising and under-delivering, why not try the opposite? Try under-promising and over-delivering and maybe you'd have more success. ICE have been making great arrests, which is why so many Democrats are trying to stop them and doxx them. Some are being arrested, but more need to be. CNN's Anderson Cooper and actor George Clooney really don't get the difference between Trump the man and the America First movement. Finally, Stephen A. Smith goes off on the KJP book announcement from yesterday. Please take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. We spend a good amount of time going through the released audio of Special Counsel Robert Hur's interview with President Joe Biden, which was recorded in the fall of 2023. We ask how Axios got tha audio? Also, why the sudden push by the press to throw Joe Biden under the bus? We discuss some possibilities around that as well. A caller also reminds us of the really dumb online post by former FBI Director James Comey, who wants to pretend he didn't know what it meant to ask someone to "86" the current president of the United States of America. But, if he tries to lie under oath, he will likely be caught perjuring himself, in which case he will go to jail. And, if he admits he was putting out a call for an assassination, then he is going to jail. Either way, he is in a bit of a pickle. Back to Biden's utter incompetence, we hear from Rep. James Comer (R-KY) with an ongoing House Oversight Committee investigation into who used the Autopen to sign off on bills, Executive Orders and pardons? This leads Comer to want to depose senior staff and cabinet officials to ask who was really running the country? During the Vulcan Mind-meld, fellow broadcaster BK, from BK on the Air, joins me to discuss some of the influenses in our lives. We then discuss how we didn't list bands or music influences, but will likely have that discussion as a homework assignment for next week. We open with word that Russian president Vladimir Putin is open to a cease fire if it means getting to an end to all hostilities. Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) belclowns herself again regarding the possible government shutdown. And, Sen. Chuck “You” Schumer needs to be reminded that the current CR is a continuation of the Biden/Democrat budget. Yet, many Democrats cannot be trusted to write their own thoughts about the looming shutdown and have to resort to copy/paste from the approved messaging from their Hive Queen overlord. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) says they have finally been given access to dozens of suspicious activity reports surrounding ActBlue. He also mentions there are likely hundreds more. The acting ICE Director, Todd Lyons, just revealed another instance of the Biden regime cooking the books. Seems all of those “arrests” they touted at the border, were nothing more than initial apprehensions, before processing them and releasing them into the country. This leads DNI Tulsi Gabbard to tell us while the Biden era wanted to focus on white supremacy, the real threat is with the influx of Islamists into our country unchecked. There was an illegal protest inside of Trump Tower today, demanding the release of the Hamas terrorist affiliate Mahmoud Khalil. While they were being arrested, Secretary of State Marco Rubio explained to the brain dead Legacy/Mainstream media why Khalil's case isn't one of First Amendment rights. We play audio of Sen. Bernie Sander (D-VT) sounding like he's now onboard with the DOGE team. Then we realize, that was back in 2011. We wonder what's changed since then? EPA Secretary Lee Zeldin explains how rolling back so many onerous regulations will help all Americans, while CNN makes fools of themselves by choosing not to look things up before trying to “fact check” them. Rep. Tim “Sarah” McBride (D-DE) took to the lectern to address being called “Congressman” and went on a silly and ironic rant about culture wars and a wish for the GOP to work on bringing down costs and finding government efficiencies. So, on the heels of people living mentally unhinged, we turn to a man in Seattle who bought a Tesla, only to destroy it in an effort to hurt Elon Musk. Finally, we get work from a TikTok'er by the name of TheSouthernGal1 regarding “intelligence” after being mocked by someone for her accent. She nails it as any bright and intelligent woman could.  Please take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Today's show opens with yesterday's passage of the SAVE Act, putting in place preventative measures to keep illegals from voting in American elections. What's worthy of note is 198 Democrats decided they were more in support of illegals than they were in support of Americans. Once again, we have several soundbites about the upcoming election. Some of the designated members of the Democrat body politic, like Rep. Rishi Kumar (D-CA) who gets to use the term “bloodbath” when describing the upcoming defeat they will face if Biden stays in the race. Joe Scarborough evoked Lincoln's post-Civil War speech and likened it to letting the South win control of government if Trump wins. CNN wants us to know that if the people choose Trump in a landslide, that will jeopardize our democracy. It appears, the only way to save our democracy, in not to let the people decide for themselves in a free and fair election, but to have a select few people already in power make that decision for the rest of us. That's their version of “democracy.” Rep. James Comer (R-KY) has decided he wants to speak to the Triple A's who surround Joe Biden and keep him insulated and under total control. Annie Tomasini, Ashley Williams and Anthony Bernal have all received a letter informing them of being called to testify. Our Intelligence Community is dragging out the old “Russia, Russia, Russia” playbook again. They want us to believe Putin prefers Trump over Biden. Throwing her promised toddler-like tantrum, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has filed her article of impeachment against Justices Thomas and Alito. Their version of democracy also seems centered around the belief that they cannot allow anyone who affirms the Constitution to be kept in their roles. The Daily Show got a shock when a 6 person, all-black panel in New York City was split 50/50 in their support of Trump versus Biden. Those voting for trump cut across age ranges and generations. But the true test for Joe Biden today is his BIG BOY press conference. It is scheduled for around 5:30PM today. I'll will be watching with undivided attention and will bring the relevant moments to Friday's show. Sources behind the scenes are telling MSNBC and Politico that President Obama is behind the scenes, pushing to oust Joe Biden. It's not secret there is no love lost between the Biden's and the Obama's. But, make no mistake, Obama is going to get his way. In a turn of irony, SCOTUS Sotomayor, who dissenting against the idea that the Second Amendment was meant to protect a private right of armed self defense, found her bodyguard's in a shoot-out with a would-be carjacker. Gov. Gretchen Whitmer has just signed into law the bill making it harder to request a recount over an allegation of fraud. The law strips the Board of Canvassers of its investigative authority. If you are going to cheat, might as well make it legal. But, in two somewhat related wins, the radical judge, Sarah Netburn, who is part of the woke, ‘what is a woman,' screwball culture was shot down for the Court of Appeals. And, Rep. Mary Miller (R-IL) has her bill pass the House, blocking Joe Biden's radical Title IX rewrite. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Inflation, terrorists allowed inside the US, reaction to Hunter Biden conviction and why we need Joe's audio

On today's show we open with the latest inflation numbers. While the Biden regime is wanting to take a victory lap for a CPI that didn't go up (or down), the number still represents a sharp increase from four years ago. In fact, if you are not making at least $12,000 more a year than what you were making four years ago, then you are not even breaking even. Speaking of breaking, it seems the news from last night is 8 members of ISIS-K were arrested across three cities here in the United States. All of them came across our southern border. In fact, the rise of people on the known terrorist watch list has skyrocketed under Joe Biden. Next, I give you my thoughts on Hunter Biden being found guilty on the three charges related to him lying on the gun purchase form. This was the lowest of all the low-hanging fruit and the one crime that would not remotely connect to Joe Biden. The real issue is whether the DOJ will go after all of the other far more serious crimes that run throughout the Biden Crime Family Syndicate. Rep. Byron Donalds (R-FL) reminds us how US Attorney David Weiss initially cut a sweetheart deal for Hunter and allowed the statute of limitations to expire on serious tax evasion charges. We also need to recognize that the DOJ went along with the Biden campaign to cover-up Hunter's laptop. Work done by the non-profit group Marco Polo reminds us they put out a 640 page report on the Biden laptop, containing 2,020 citations that documents 459 crimes committed by the Biden family and their business associates. 140 were business crimes, 191 sex crimes and 128 were drug crimes. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) says, “Justice won't be served until the DOJ prosecutes the Biden family's FARA violations and other financial crimes. And, let's remind you that the 2020 Biden campaign, with the help of Antony Blinken, got 51 intelligence community operatives to lie about the laptop and then Joe Biden lied to the American people. Rep. Harriet Hageman (R-WY) helps us understand why we need to audio of Joe Biden's testimony to Special Counsel Robert Hur. To illustrate her point, I say the following line three different ways: No. Stop it. You! I said stop. What are doing? Stop...stop...stop. In this episode of "Sara Gonzales Unfiltered," Sara discusses a letter from Reps. James Comer (R-Ky.), Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), and Jason Smith (R-Mo.) to AG Merrick Garland and special counsel David Weiss, calling for criminal referrals for Hunter and James Biden. They are accused of making false statements to Congress, implicating President Joe Biden in influence-peddling schemes. Sara highlights the courtroom drama of Hunter Biden's trial, questioning the DOJ's integrity and impartiality. Sara also addresses the Georgia Court of Appeals pausing the trial court proceedings in Donald Trump's 2020 election case involving Fani Willis, likely delaying the trial until after the 2024 election. She explores the implications of this delay and the possibility of harsher sentencing for Trump. Biden's DOJ has charged the Epoch Times CFO with a $67 million transnational money laundering scheme. Sara questions the timing and nature of these charges, considering the DOJ's selective prosecution patterns and the broader implications for conservative media. The episode critiques President Joe Biden's cognitive decline, referencing a Wall Street Journal report detailing his reliance on notes and aides, suggesting Biden is a figurehead for Obama-era policies. The conversation touches on the GOP's ineffectiveness and the need for voter engagement. Sara also talks about Alec Baldwin's involuntary manslaughter charge in the death of Halyna Hutchins and his new reality show on TLC, questioning Hollywood's double standards. Happy Friday, everyone! We open the show, as we have been for many weeks now, with a run through Tara Bull's Top 10 News items poll. This allows us to hit several topics quickly, while also setting the stage for a few items I have coming up in the show today. The House Oversight Committee seems to have made a sudden pivot toward the CIA and the DOJ regarding Hunter Biden's criminality being constantly overlooked. According to a letter sent by Rep. James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Jim Jorden (R-OH), a CIA whistleblower has come forward about the agency intentionally stopping investigators from looking into Hunter's current lawyer, Kevin Morris. I then take a short tangent into asking about the term citizenship and what does it really mean today? I don't mean from a legal perspective, but rather about having a personal stake in one's own country. More House members have come out today slamming the mini omnibus bill pushed by Speaker Johnson. It's so bad, that Rep. Marjorie Taylor-Greene just motioned to vacate the chair. Rep. Scott Perry (R-PA) discovered the bill will continue to fund Joe Biden's open borders policy. Rep. Eli Crane (R-AZ) discussed a laundry list of “woke” agenda items and other non-essential spending. Even Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said the House needs to say no to the bill and fight back on the grounds of the open border and money being spent to cater to illegals over Americans. Since the media got itself all worked up over the use of the word “bloodbath” by Donald Trump, a word that has multiple meanings, let's look a the use of another word that has only one. Democrat Strategist James Carville was on CNN with Anderson Cooper and said that Joe Biden's surrogates needed to “wetwork” Donald Trump. Wetwork is a Russian euphemism for murder or assassination that alludes to spilling blood. The CIA adopted that term, meaning to “take someone out.” We then jump to a quote from Jason D. Meister about the lawfare waged on Donald Trump, culminating the in the ridiculous fine levied by Judge Engoron in the Letitia James trial in NYC. Isn't it amazing that the largest fine levied, using a statute that was never used like that before, just happens to be for about the same amount of money Trump has in his campaign account? In a related story, I was shocked to hear two women on CNN yesterday discuss ways for Trump to get the money he needs. One said Mar-a-Lago is valued in the “hundreds of millions of dollars.” Now, wait a minute. Judge Engoron stated it was only worth $18 million, which is where he justified Trump committed fraud. Turns out, CNN found themselves arguing Trump's point, that it is actually worth hundreds of millions more than that. And, in a wonderful bit of irony, with a massive dose of hypocrisy, it seems AG Letitia James is now protecting a group (that donated a lot of money to her) for over-inflating the value of a property in order to bilk another out of millions of dollars. It's the exact same thing for which she went after Trump, but is now playing defender of an ally for committing the same “crime.” As we close, the FDA lost its war on ivermectin and has agreed to remove all social media posts and consumer directives against it. Remember their famous, “You are not a horse. You are not a cow. Seriously, y'all. Stop it.” And, residents in Queens, NY are sick and tired of AOC not being there and showing no interest in them. Even a former supporter and volunteer to AOC's campaign was quoted as saying, “She only cares about Washington and her money. Nobody loves her here anymore. She abandoned us.” She isn't lying. Today's show opens with a run through TaraBull's Top 10 news items from the week you probably never heard discussed on Legacy/mainstream media. It's a great way to do a look-back from the past week and see how many items this audience knew already because you choose to listen here to get a real sense of what's happening in the world. From there I move to the DOJ report on the abject failures of the Uvalde Police Department. I didn't bring it to you the day it dropped because long-time listeners already knew where they failed and how. It's nice to see it took the government over a year to come to the same conclusion I reached within a few weeks of the mass shooting at Robb Elementary School. I am not really happy with Rep. James Comer (R-KY) at the moment. He is on social media and the talking head programs bragging about finally getting Hunter Biden to commit to a behind closed doors deposition. He and his staff have thus far ignored by attempts to find out why they are okay letting him off the hook for being in contempt of Congress? I think there can be more to the issue of having no border control than just a desire for a permanent under-class. While there is a thought that the global elites want to erase borders and divide the world into regions, I still believe the easiest way to achieve that is through having a permanent voting block. Also this week, though nothing new to this audience, we have even more evidence that Hunter Biden's art sales was just another illegal fleecing operation that ran through Joe Biden's White House. It's yet another example of the Biden Crime Family Syndicate in action. Switching to Davos and the collection of world elites, I play a sound bite from Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts. Just as we do here on a daily basis, he breaks down five specific areas where the global elites are wrong and why someone like Donald Trump sees through their nonsense and will not support them. Before I hit my last two stories, I do take a moment to talk about serving your community. I think it is important and I share some of the non-profits where I serve and why I believe everyone should try to do something for others. As we wind down, I play a short news story from Chicago where Tesla drivers are not getting long charges, it's taking hours for re-charges and charging stations are just not working. EV's might be a great innovation, but when the government tries to force them on us in their command and control way, we see just how they are not ready to be the solution. Finally, just when we thought this week's earlier Deep Thoughts segment was a one-off, we discover VP Kamala Harris actually practiced the line and the delivery. It's just like on yesterday's show where she used the same phrase with both an ABC News reporter and then then next day on the View. In this case it looks like she needed to learn how to lie to GenZ to try to get their vote. Take a moment to rate and review the show and then share the episode on social media. Hunter Biden's theatrics, Biden says border security is extreme and Harvard ignores their motto

Today's show opens with the crafted theatrics Hunter Biden played when showing up today outside of the Senate side of the Capitol. His pre-written and lawyer-approved statement took just a few minutes to deliver and then he jumped in a car and took off before he could be detained by the Sergeant-at-Arms. Rep. James Comer (R-KY) and Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) then responded to the statement delivered by Hunter. Ultimately, Hunter doesn't get to chose the manner of his deposition or testimony. He has been subpoenaed and then wanted to dictate the way it was going to happen. He is a first-hand witness at the heart of the Biden Crime Family Syndicate and he was not about to appear for real before the long holiday break. Now we have to bring you some words from one of the biggest, blithering idiots in Congress, Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY). Her desperate ramblings only help to support the GOP versus help Hunter Biden. Much like Rep. Daniel Goldman (D-NY) who thinks he's always helping the Biden Crime Family, her blithering nonsense only serves to weaken anything Hunter and his team of lawyers was trying to accomplish. Shifting to the border and other spending bills, Joe Biden is now saying anyone who thinks securing the border is more important than sending more money to Ukraine, they are extreme and partisan. Remember, CBS News this past Sunday said the number one issue on Americans' minds is the economy, including inflation and right on it's heals is the border crisis. Yet, for Joe Biden, thinking the southern border is a priority only shows you are an extreme partisan. Nice of him to be calling the majority of Americans such condescending terms. Let's now look at the first items on most Americans' minds and that's inflation the economy. When we look at the inflation over the last three years (the Biden years), it's the highest it's been in 100 years. Biden's team is trying to spin inflation as dropping and then lying by saying grocery prices are coming down and gasoline is coming down. It's amazing how they manage to come to their conclusions and then delivery their deceptions with a straight face. The financial headlines of the last quarter are not painting the rosy picture that the Biden regime is trying to sell. We begin to wind down the show with a reminder of Harvard sticking to their guns when it comes to supporting DEI over admitting their DEI hire has been a disaster. We hear from Christopher Rufo, a Harvard alum, who describes just how far the University has fallen away from it's moto of “veritas” or TRUTH. Gad Saad weighed in on a tweet that came from Derrick Johnson, the current president of the NAACP. Johnson said the issues and criticism being brought on Gay amount to white supremacy. I kid you not. Saad addressed that nonsense and warned Johnson, “Be careful to accuse me of white supremacy as I'm a Lebanese-Jewish war refugee of color so I outrank you and President Gay in Victimology Poker.” Finally, I close with some of the language Elon Musk's lawyers have placed in their suit against Media Matters. What it boils down to is someone with evil in their heart, perpetrating evil designs while being giddy with joy. In some ways, it's no different than the demonic monsters of Hamas on October 7, who were just as giddy perpetrating their own acts of evil. The committee has, so far, subpoenaed six different banks, and they've received thousands of records. The records show that the Biden family and their close associates created more than 20 different companies, many of them while Joe Biden was the vice president between 2009 and 2017. And according to Rep. James Comer (R-Ky.), the current chairman of the House Oversight Committee, the way that these payments were distributed to various bank accounts appeared to have the aim of concealing large payments from foreign nationals.

If Republicans take the White House in 2024, can we expect charges against prominent Democrat officials? 3:40pm- In an article for Just the News, journalist John Solomon writes about the Bill Clinton “Sock Drawer” defense and how it relates to Donald Trump's legal troubles: “[t]he case in question is titled Judicial Watch v. National Archives and Records Administration and it involved an effort by the conservative watchdog to compel the Archives to forcibly seize hours of audio recordings that Clinton made during his presidency with historian Taylor Branch…U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington D.C. ultimately rejected Judicial Watch's suit by concluding there was no provision in the Presidential Records Act to force the National Archives to seize records from a former president.” Concluding “that a president's discretion on what are personal vs. official records is far-reaching and solely his, as is his ability to declassify or destroy records at will.” You can read Solomon's full article here: https://justthenews.com/politics-policy/all-things-trump/old-case-over-audio-tapes-bill-clintons-sock-drawer-could-impact 4:05pm- In 2017, then-President Donald Trump publicly stated that his Justice Department should not pursue charges against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton—citing that any prosecution “would be very, very divisive for the country.”  4:15pm- After leaving a federal court where he pleaded not guilty to 37 criminal charges, former President Donald Trump stopped at a Miami café where he took photos with supporters and offered to buy lunch for customers. 4:30pm- Rich speaks with callers who vent about the Trump indictment. Tom from Delran wonders why Nikki Haley has seemingly pulled support for Donald Trump as he faces serious criminal charges. 4:35pm- Addressing the media, Trump attorney Alina Habba compared the indictment of her client to “the type of thing you see in dictatorships like Cuba and Venezuela.” 4:40pm- According to a report from Geoffrey Dickens of NewsBusters: ABC, NBC, and CBS spent a combined total of 291 minutes on Monday night covering the Trump indictment, however, they spent 0 minutes on the Biden Burisma bribery allegations. During the event, one transgender social media influencer briefly went topless. We're a nation in decline.” 5:25pm- According to Brad Dress of The Hill, writes “the feud between former President Trump and the nation's highest-ranking military officer, Gen. Mark Milley, played a key role in the historic indictment handed down last week over Trump's alleged criminal mishandling of classified documents. Key audio in the case captured…Trump [claiming] he had a document about a ‘plan of attack' on Iran…and he admitted he knew the document was secret and not declassified by him, contradicting some of his claims in the case.” Dress reveals that “[i]t's unclear whether the document in question exists.” You can read the full article here: https://thehill.com/policy/defense/4046504-trump-milley-feud-played-key-role-in-classified-documents-case/ 5:35pm- John Yoo— the Emanuel S. According to a report from Patrick Thomas of The Wall Street Journal, beef prices in the U.S. are on the rise due to inflation which has “pushed up prices for fuel, feed and equipment”—complicated by “[s]evere drought in many key cattle-producing states, such as Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas, parched grazing pastures, requiring spending on supplemental feed such as alfalfa and hay—which are up more than 20% on average from the prior year.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/beef-prices-high-summer-barbecue-12a08905?mod=hp_lead_pos5 While appearing on MSNBC, White House Economic Advisor Bharat Ramamurti said he believes that middle class families are doing well and, consequently, the economy is doing well under President Joe Biden's leadership. However, as RNC research notes, the average American family has lost roughly $10,000 paying for increased costs from inflation since President Biden took office. According to Andrew C. McCarthy, “FBI director Chris Wray reached a compromise with committee chairman James Comer (R-KY)” regarding a House Oversight Committee subpoenaed document which is alleged to show members of the Biden family were receiving payments from foreign nationals for policy influence while Joe Biden was Vice President. McCarthy writes, that “[t]he FBI will bring the subpoenaed document at the center of the dispute to the House on Monday. There, Comer and the committee's ranking member, Jamie Raskin (D-MD), will review it and receive a related briefing from the bureau.” You can read the article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/2023/06/comer-and-wray-strike-compromise-staving-off-oversight-committee-contempt-citation/ Dr. Victoria Coates—former Deputy National Security Advisor & Senior Research Fellow at The Heritage Foundation—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the Biden-McCarthy debt ceiling agreement that has now passed in the House and Senate. The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (04/20/2023): 3:05pm- On Thursday, the House of Representatives advanced legislation that would prevent biological males from competing in women's sports. Ari Blaff of National Review writes, “[t]he House measure seeks to amend federal law so that ‘sex shall be recognized based solely on a person's reproductive biology and genetics at birth,' in order to determine Title IX athletics compliance. Title IX mandates that institutions that receive public funding from the federal government cannot discriminate on the basis of sex.” The bill passed along partisan lines—"with 219 Republicans voting in favor and 203 Democrats voting against.” You can read more here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/zero-house-democrats-vote-to-protect-womens-sports-from-male-intrusion/ 3:10pm- While appearing on Real Time with Bill Maher, Rep. According to The Washington Post's Tony Romm, the proposed legislation is estimated to “save the government $4.5 trillion over the next decade” including “$130 billion in spending cuts for 2024.” The bill would also create “new work requirements for welfare” and “block [President Joe] Biden's forthcoming program to cancel thousands of dollars in college debt.” Unsurprisingly, President Biden has already expressed opposition to Speaker McCarthy's proposal. Corinne Ramey and Joe Palazzolo of The Wall Street Journal write: “The substance of the charges aren't public for now and are expected to remain sealed until Mr. Trump makes an initial appearance in court, likely on Tuesday afternoon. He is first expected to report to the district attorney's office, where he will be arrested, fingerprinted and photographed.” According to claims made by Trump's attorney, the former president will not accept any plea deal. No one is above the law, and everyone has the right to a trial to prove innocence. Hopefully, the former President will peacefully respect the system, which grants him that right.” In response to Pelosi's preposterous claims of a “trial to prove innocence”, Twitter quickly fact checked the statement, citing Cornell Law School: “Ms. Pelosi mistakenly says that Trump can prove his innocence at trial. Law in the US assumes the innocence of a defendant and the prosecution must prove guilt for a conviction.” 3:25pm Attorney Kate Shaw—Law Professor at Yeshica University & an expert on Constitutional Law—appeared on ABC News and seemingly questioned whether Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg has jurisdiction to indict Donald Trump. Two-minutes into the interview, host George Stephanopoulos seemingly cut her off and immediately moved on from what she said. 3:40pm- While appearing on ABC News, Donald Trump's Attorney Joe Tacopina condemned the Manhattan District Attorney's office for bringing politically driven charges against the former president. Tacopina claimed the indictment is based upon “rumors and leaks.” 3:50pm- In his latest editorial for National Review, former Assistant United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York Andrew C. McCarthy writes: “Alvin Bragg, the elected progressive Democrat who ran for Manhattan district attorney as the candidate most likely to wield his power against Donald Trump, crossed the Rubicon on Thursday… If reports are to be believed, it is not merely an unworthy exercise of prosecutorial discretion. Isn't this type of speech parody and, subsequently, protected under the 1st Amendment? 5:20pm- Chris Pratt hilariously mocked Instagram users who claimed they were offended by his recurring “snack of the day” social media posts. 5:40pm- According to a report from The New York Post, CBS News executives have barred reporters from using the word “transgender” while covering the actions of the Nashville, Tennessee shooter—a biological woman who identified as male. According to The Wall Street Journal, “[a] senior Treasury official said the steps didn't constitute a bailout because stock and bondholders in SVB and Signature wouldn't be protected.” Silicon Valley Bank had been the 16th largest bank in America with an estimated $175 billion in deposits, but after losing billions investing in long-term assets, customers attempted to withdraw an estimated $42 billion in deposits resulting in the bank's ultimate collapse. And in situations like this, the many institutions who act responsibly must bear the burden of bank fees in order to inoculate less responsible actors. Besides, these fees assessed on banks don't exist in a vacuum that only burdens big businesses; banks pass on the costs of regulatory compliance to customers in a number of ways.
