Since the pandemic, this is the first time a waitlist has re-formed at the ATV. Aly described the new work experience which I'm paraphrasing “companies are using the Village as a natural addition to their work experience. Folks may come in later or leave earlier, but there is way more foot traffic and people working on the weekends as well.” The fluidity of the ATV is always exhilarating. We have companies moving out and moving in every 30-60 days  but overall the office is definitely back…but it is back on the terms of the entrepreneurs and employees.   Company Coming Up: For this week's Company Coming Up, this Atlanta entrepreneur has an innovative approach to host kitchens. That's right, host kitchens not ghost kitchens. FranklinJunction is the name and Rishi Nigam is the CEO. What is a host kitchen and how does Franklin Junction leverage them? They match underutilized restaurants, called Host Kitchens, with restaurant brands looking for rapid expansion through delivery. Each restaurant benefits because it involves "capital-free revenue growth for both partners." Franklin Junction works with about 30 brands such as Nathan's Famous, Hooters, and David Chang's Fuku. These brands make their products through approximately 250 host kitchens currently in production. Now, Franklin Junction owns the revenue from each sale, and then pays everyone else a cut. They are still early but definitely a company coming up!  Blog Post of the Week: Transitioning to the Blog of the Week: Ergeon's Pitch Deck Teardown. My name is Ashiki Taylor (a.k.a MATAH Man, ICE Supreme Man) I've been involved in the uplift of Black people for more than 45 years! In the spirit of our ancestors I describe myself as a “visionary revolutionary”. My life's mission is to honor our ancestors, make our elders proud and help build generational wealth for our children. I was born and raised in the Detroit. I'm the fourth oldest of eight siblings. I attended Mackenzie H.S. and Wayne State University. I earned a bachelor of fine arts (B.F.A.) in adverting design and minored in photography. I've been married to my college sweetheart, Rebbie, for 39 years! My life's focus is health and wealth for African people. I believe that Black people must become more health oriented and entrepreneurial minded. I've been interviewed on numerous radio and TV stations; WCHB (Detroit), WRFG 89.3 FM (Atlanta), WAOK 1380 AM (Atlanta), WURD 900 AM (Philadelphia), Fox -5 TV (Atlanta) broadcast and I've written several thoughts about the liberation of Black people.  I was a founding member of MATAH Network (1997 – 2004) – the distribution channel for Black made products and one of it's original investors. I was a dear friend of our great ancestor, KEN BRIDGES for 20 years! KEN was also raised in Detroit. When there is a War in the physical realm usually it is a direct result of there also being one in the spiritual one. Often they do not operate seperately from one another as some of we may believe. So I, Shiloah aka El Maat always tries to look for the SPIRTUAL causes to explain what is occuring here in the physical dimension. And to see if we where forwarned of these very unsettling events or is this just another case of racial white rage that can not be explained? Let's chop it up tonight and see what we come up with.

On Monday, November 28th, we talked with Rob Calloway of Sports Kings Radio on 1380 WAOK in Atlanta, previewed the upcoming SEC Championship Game between Georgia and LSU with T. Kyle King of SB Nation, we talked Boxing with Shea Bailey, and talked with Men's Model Jae Choice.  We also discussed the latest NFL and NBA news, as well as, Urban Meyer becoming the new Ohio State Head Football Coach.

On Monday, November 21st my guests were from the undeafeated MLK Lions in Lithonia, GA , Head Coach Mike Carson, Host of the ATL Sports Kings Radio Show on 1380 WAOK in Atlanta, Rob Calloway, Winfield Featherson of, fromtherumbleseat.com, and we talked Hockey with Head Coach of the Gwinnett Gladiators John Wrobleski,.  We recapped the weekend's action in football and basketball from Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Georgia State.  Also, the Atlanta Falcons against Tennessee.  We'll previewed this week's showdown between Georgia and Georgia Tech, had the lastest on the NBA Lockout, reviewed the final NASCAR race of the season, and all the latest sports news.

Atlanta Hip Hop has a rich tradition and history in radio.  It begins with WIGO and WAOK and quickly became stronger in the college radio scene with stations like WRAS (Georgia State) and WREK (Georgia Tech), The Fresh Party on V103 as well as community radio WRFG.  We all know about the stories of Greg Street and Frank Ski. Atlanta is blessed to have had those dynamic DJs help push the scene.  This is the other side of the story, the story of DJs that year after year worked the club  circuit before graduating into ATL radio. In this episode we hear stories from DJs that started their careers on these stations and others that witnessed these careers grow.  We learn more about Lil Jon’s House, Reggae and Hip Hop DJing days, The Beef © between P. Diddy and Atlanta DJs and how early DJs used the radio as a springboard into the Hip Hop industry. Stories heard from: DJ Mars, Smoove Matty Matt, Brian Lassiter, Talib Shabazz, H20, DJ Jaycee, J of Earwax Records, Shannon McCollum, DJ Nabs, Marcel Daniels, DJ Applejac & DJ Mafioso.
