We Return to Woodstock '99 on Episode 224 of The Brooklyn Blast Furnace Podcast. The HBO Documentary drops today as well. So I figured I'd get several people together who all attended the infamous Woodstock '99 on the 22nd anniversary. I didn't know them at the time but we all have this one amazing weekend in common. I'm sure the documentary won't be kind and will have a nonsensical 2021 "woke" spin on it judging by the utter bullshit that was said in the trailer. We tell our story and reminisce about our time on Griffis Air Force Base in Rome, New York. Enjoy.

Peter Tukan, SDB Acts 2, 14a. 36-41; 1Petr 2, 20b-25; John 10, 1-10 WE RETURN TO THE SHEPHERD The theme of our meditation on the 4th Sunday of Easter is: We Return to the Shepherd. The Holy Week this year and the days after until today have passed before our eyes as we are still under the threat of the Covid-19 outbreak. This bitter experience represents many other terrifying experiences that we have gone through. In front of us, however, there are still many problems that are waiting. Of all these problems, according to the second reading today, what God wants from us is our return to our good and main shepherd, namely the Lord Jesus Christ. As long as we stay safe, we are away from danger and live a normal situation of life, we seem to have a normal faith and the life is just flowing. But once we experience difficulties, sickness and threat of danger, faith urges us to immediately and always ask for God's intervention. Faith teaches us that God does not remain silent or watch only from a distance. The Lord Jesus Himself confirms Himself as a door for His sheeps, which are all of us. Especially in the current situation, Jesus is more firmly calling us one by one to take refuge in Him. As a good and generous shepherd, He guides and brings us with His so great love that none of us will get lost. If in all difficult situations and in a state of being lost, we are given several conditions to be followed that we may find the way and return to our shepherd. St. Peter in his sermon on the Pentecost day gives us four concrete ways. First is the way of acknowledge sins and repentance. To enter the door, of course the condition is that we must leave our old life and choose the new one. Second, the way of baptism. For all who have been baptized, by fulfilling the baptismal promises through our daily activities, we surely have the way to return to the Shepherd. We always have the opportunity to renew these promises, especially when we pray the profession of faith "I Believe". Third, the way of remission of sins. A person experiences the remission of his sins when he confesses and receives blessing from the Church through the priest. This is also the way to return to our Shepherd. Fourth, is the way of confirmation by the Holy Spirit. By participating in the Eucharist and our Church's worships we are always renewed by the outpouring of the Holy Spirit and sent for mission. This is also the way we return to our good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ. The risen Christ opens room for all of us to experience the power of the Holy Spirit in the Pentecost. May this Spirit always guide and teach us to follow diligently the paths that lead us to the Shepherd. With this Shepherd, our life is safe and peaceful. Let's pray. In the name of the Father ... O Lord Jesus, we pray that with this Sunday celebration we may be more faithful to You, our good and generous Shepherd. Glory to the Father ... Despite this, the story will take itself seriously, even at its most extra. As with OWAR and Monsterhearts in general, Sexuality & Infatuation, Cruelty & Bullying, Violence & Fear, and Confusion & Mystery will be key themes during the game. The X-Card will be in play.
