The first time is always the best. In this case, that's 100% true. Brock Lesnar and Big Show have been feuding for a while and it comes to a head in the Main Event of SmackDown for the WWE Championship! Brock Lesnar takes the Big Show up to the top rope and delivers the biggest superplex of all time as the ring implodes. Neither man could get up to their feet and SmackDown goes off the air in pandemonium. The show is also highlighted by the long standing rivalry with Matt Hardy and Rey Mysterio over the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Also, Zack Gowen is trying to get a WWE contract and with the help of Mr. America, Zack has an arm wrestling match vs Mr. McMahon. If somehow he can win, he will realize his dream and become a WWE Superstar! Undertaker continues his feud with the FBI. Billy Gunn and Torrie Wilson become an item. Plus, Charlie Hass and Shelton Benjamin are sick of being in the shadow of Kurt Angle and want to be the new leaders of Team Angle. Kurt does not take this lightly and Team Angle breaks up! Vito LoGrasso is one of the most recognized wrestlers of his time! Starting off his career in The Unpredictable Johnny Rodz School of wrestling in 1990, Vito excelled rapidly into the WWF in 1991 as a preliminary wrestler as Big Vito. He faced such superstars as Bret "The Hitman" Hart, The Undertaker, and many others. Vito also went on to work in the USWA and WWC. Vito continued to move forward and was hired by ECW. Vito worked his way quickly up the ladder and then in 1999 Vince Russo, one of Vito's long time friends, had hired Vito to work in WCW. While with the WCW, Vito was a 2 time Tag Team Champion and 2 time Hardcore Champion beating the legendary Terry Funk for the HardCore Title. Vito Wrestled for the XWF with Hulk Hogan and Curt Henning in 2001, Before Gaining International recognition winning the Iron Man Title In Hanover Germany in 2002. After a return to Japan in 2003, Vito teamed up with Genichiro Tenryu in World Japan to form a Great one two punch tag team. In mid 2004, specifically late June, Vito joined TNA Wrestling by helping Trinity defeat Desire in a Stretcher Match at the memorable and historic TNA 2 Year Anniversary Show. He made his impact by jumping out of an ambulance attacking Desire and joining alliances with The New York Connection. Vito worked with Glenn Gilberti, Johnny Swinger, and Trinity throughout the summer, but in September Vito had to leave due to family business. In August of 2005 Vito debuted in the WWE on Velocity to assist newly found ally Nuzio in winning the WWE Cruiserweight Championship. Vito continued to focus on keeping the Cruiserweight Title on Nuzio, and climbing the ranks on Smackdown! After Nuzio won the cruiser weight title, they were dubbed the F.B.I. (Full Blooded Italians). But Big Vito isn't just a wrestler. Vito has modeled a lot throughout the years including a feature spread in Playgirl and now in 2013 has two horror movies in "post production" and has a very long history of appearing in movies and commercials. Acting has always been a passion for Vito and he continues to follow his many passions to the fullest. Behind that tough guy exterior, Vito is a kind, warm-hearted man who dedicates his time to charities, and most of all, his loyal fans. Vito has a great time speaking with his fans and appearing on radio shows and attending events. Vito loves his fans that appreciate his great work, talent and kindness. His fan base is huge and continues to grow as he moves onto the big screen. Vito knows, without the fans, there is no Vito. https://www.patreon.com/jimandcasey https://www.twitter.com/TheBigVitoBrand https://twitter.com/ontheroadwithj3 https://twitter.com/TheRealSCav https://www.twitter.com/guitaristjimbo https://twitter.com/CaseySchearer80 https://www.instagram.com/thebigvitobrand/ https://www.instagram.com/caseyschearer80/ https://www.instagram.com/ontheroadwithjimandcasey/ https://www.instagram.com/guitaristjimbo/ #prowrestling #wrestling #bigvito #vitolograsso #wwe #ecw #japan #wcw #fbi #nunzio #drag #podcasts #nophonypodcastnetwork #podernfamily
NXT finally made its television debut last night on the USA Network and you know Episode 110 is all about NXT on the USA Network (and the WWE Network in hour two). In this episode of the podcast, I review last night's landmark episode of NXT including the Fatal 4-Way Match to determine a new #1 contender for the NXT Women's Championship, Pete Dunne going one-on-one with Arturo Ruas, the debut of the Cruiserweight division on NXT when Oney Lorcan faced Lio Rush to determine a new #1 contender for the WWE Cruiserweight Championship, could Roderick Strong fulfill the Undisputed Prophecy, and what may have been the wildest finish to an episode of NXT I may have ever seen. Yet another jam-packed wrestling weekend is on the horizon, and not only does RJ Marceau return as always to break down both NXT TakeOver: Toronto II and SummerSlam with Graham "GSM" Matthews, but Alexis DiGiacomo joins them as well! They kick off the hour by giving their picks for Saturday's TakeOver special and discussing Io Shirai's recent heel turn and how exceptional she's been in the role, if The Street Profits are on the verge of losing the NXT Tag Team Championship and if they'll officially be called up to Raw soon, if Mia Yim is the right woman to dethrone Shayna Baszler as NXT Women's Champion, the Triple Threat match for the NXT North American Championship, Adam Cole vs. Johnny Gargano III in the main event, and if every member of Undisputed Era will leave Toronto with gold. From there, the trio preview SummerSlam and talk the WWE Cruiserweight Championship match, how the build to Bayley vs. Ember Moon for the SmackDown Women's Championship has been disappointing, Charlotte Flair and Trish Stratus colliding for the first time ever, Goldberg returning to the ring against Dolph Ziggler, why Natalya isn't at all a compelling challenger for Raw Women's Champion Becky Lynch and if Ronda Rousey will return afterward, Bray Wyatt's in-ring return versus Finn Balor and why it's crucial that Wyatt wins, AJ Styles vs. Ricochet for the United States Championship, if Kevin Owens' matchup with Shane McMahon will mark the end of Shane's reign of terror on WWE TV, how Kofi Kingston vs. Randy Orton has been the best booked bout going into the event, how Brock Lesnar's latest reign as Universal Champion will last, and much more!
In a recent interview after his departure from WWE, TJ Perkins opened up on an array of different topics. As a veteran of the ring for over twenty years, Perkins shared his knowledge and experience in the industry and how he found his time in WWE to be. After capturing the WWE Cruiserweight Championship at the Cruiserweight Classic, TJ's character moved into different directions. He came into the company as a face and ultimately departed as a heel. Throughout his time he was embroiled in some fantastic matches against the likes of Neville, Cedric Alexander, and Rich Swann. With each match came continued growth and further learning. While it would have been wonderful to continue to see Perkins continue to grow it was time to move on. A world traveled athlete with nothing to prove but ultimately everything to gain has sought out moving into a new direction professionally and doesn't appear to be slowing down any time soon. During our chat, TJ Perkins revealed the plans for him before he left the company. Would the CruiserGREAT have remained on 205 Live or would he have moved to either Raw, Smackdown Live or competed in NXT? He also reveals his passion for basketball and his beloved Los Angeles Lakers. What does Perkins share about his international experiences and his time competing in Canada among other places? Perkins was also asked about his Filipino heritage and his goals as a performer and how they are tied to ensuring his nationality is equally spotlighted for its growing wrestling talent. On one of the worst weeks in NXT/NXT UK History, we got a chance to see almost EVERY NXT superstar in one show. Sure, we got Adam Cole and Ricochet, but we know they can do better. This Sunday, only on the WWE Network, is WWE's Elimination Chamber! We've got all of the Chamber picks and Fantasy Booking discussion you love! Neither of these guys are incredibly impressive in the ring, the story is pretty stale, and both of these guys are three months past relevance. As Corbin makes his way off of TV, Braun's clubbing blows will act as the hammer and nail to Baron's coffin. Matt: Braun Strowman Mike: BRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAUUUUUUUNNNNNN Buddy Murphy vs. Akira Tozawa (WWE Cruiserweight Championship) Budddy Murphy is probably destined to take the WWE Cruiserweight Championship to WrestleMania. To get there, he'll have to deal with Akira Tozawa and his streak of marquee matches on 205 Live and PPV's. Tozawa is getting the push he's deserved for a while, but chances are he is the transition challenger in Murphy's journey to big show. Matt: Akira Tozawa Mike: Buddy bear Bobby Lashley and Lio Rush vs. Finn Balor (Intercontinental Championship) Finn Balor could be on his way to repeating Seth Rollins' run last year. Which now will offer Rollins a main event spot at WrestleMania with the Beast. Finn Balor is the guy who can make the IC Title interesting, but maybe not just yet... Matt: Bobby Lashley Mike: Bobby Lashley Ronda Rousey vs. Ruby Riott (Raw Women's Championship) Do you need to care about this match? For story? No. But it will be nice to Ruby Riott in the main event scene for teh Women's Championship. Obviously she's deserving of a chance to hold this title, but no one is taking down Ronnie, heading into Mania. Matt: Ronda Rousey Mike: Ronda Rousey The Miz and Shane McMahon vs. the Usos (SmackDown Tag Team Championship) The promos are great and the storyline was fun to think about, but now I find myself rooting for the Miz and Shane McMahon over actual Tag Teams. But this is the opportunity to get the Usos into WrestleMania AND start the Shane McMahon vs Legit Superstar feud starts this Sunday.
