(STINGER: WWE) Ringside News was first to report…and other outlets have confirmed…that Shane McMahon is gone from WWE. This reportedly stems from backstage issues surrounding the planning for the men's Royal Rumble Saturday night. Shane made a surprise return to WWE TV at the Rumble. He was the #28 entrant. He managed to eliminate Kevin Owens…and was one of the last men eliminated by Rumble winner Brock Lesnar. A title match is set for today's NXT UK. It's gonna be Ashton Smith & Oliver Carter vs. Dave Mastiff & Jack Starz. The wrestlers released by WWE on November 4 are now free of their non-compete clauses and can show up anywhere they choose. That group includes Killer Kross, Keith Lee..and the former Ember Moon. She's now using the ring name, Athena…and she'll challenge Thunder Rosa for Warrior Wrestling's women's championship on February 12th. (STINGER: AEW) An epic main event on last night's Dynamite. MJF beat CM Punk after nearly 40 minutes of action. Wardlow showed up toward the end of the match. He didn't attack Punk. BUT Wardlow distracted the referee and slipped the Dynamite Diamond Ring to MJF…and MJF used the ring to knock out Punk and get the pin. It's CM Punk's first loss in AEW. The show opened with Jon Moxley beating Wheeler Yuta. After the match, Bryan Danielson showed up and pitched the idea of him and Moxley “joining forces”. (Danielson Pitch To Mox) Danielson also suggested he and Mox could take some younger AEW prospects under their wings. Danielson didn't insist on an answer last night. So, we'll wait and see. MMA and combat sports star Paige Van Zant returned to AEW last night…and briefly mixed it up with Brandi Rhodes. Nyla Rose pinned Ruby Soho with the Beast Bomb. (STINGER: WWE) Expect some fallout from Thursday's Crown Jewel pay per view on tonight's SmackDown. Roman Reigns is STILL the Universal Champion coming out of Crown Jewel. He took advantage of a knocked-out referee, hit Brock Lesnar in the head with the title belt and pinned him to retain the gold. That title belt was slid into the ring by Paul Heyman, but who it was intended for was left...deliberately vague. Tonight's SmackDown is also the first WWE show with the new post-Draft rosters now in effect...and the situation involving the two women's singles championships on WWE's main roster remains a bit of a mess. Becky Lynch is still the SmackDown Women's Champion. She pinned Sasha Banks with a rollup while holding the bottom rope to win a 3-Way over Banks and Bianca Belair. So, Lynch is now officially part of the Raw roster, despite holding the SmackDown Women's Title...while Charlotte Flair is now on the SmackDown roster while holding the Raw Women's Title. We still don't know what WWE is going to do about this. Getting back to Crown Jewel...Big E hit the Big Ending and pinned Drew McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship. Xavier Woods is the King Of The Ring. He pinned Finn Balor with a springboard elbow drop. Zelina Vega is the first winner of the Queen's Crown tournament. She pinned Doudrop with a Code Red after about six minutes of action. Goldberg pinned Bobby Lashley to win their No Holds Barred match...after Goldberg speared Lashley off the stage. Edge beat Seth Rollins in their Hell In A Cell showdown. Mansoor beat Mustafa Ali. After the match, Tarek Hamdi, an Olympic silver medalist for Saudi Arabia in taekwondo, showed up and knocked out Ali. Randy Orton & Riddle beat AJ Styles & Omos to retain the Raw Tag Titles. Styles took the pin. The Usos beat Shelton Benjamin & Cedric Alexander on the kickoff show. On Thursday's NXT UK… Jordan Devlin pinned Joe Coffey with the Devlin Side in the main event. Aleah James pinned Xia Brookside with a diving sunset flip from the second rope. Xia was NOT happy about this result. Jack Starz & Dave Mastiff got a DQ win over Symbiosis after Eddie Dennis attacked Starz with a steel chair. (STINGER: AEW) AEW's World Title Eliminator Tournament begins on tonight's Rampage...with Orange Cassidy vs. Powerhouse Hobbs. The TBS Championship Tournament bracket will be revealed. Also, AEW Women's Champion Dr. Britt Baker vs. Anna Jay… And Andrade El Idolo vs. Pac. (STINGER: New Japan) The biggest story to come out of Thursday may be one we didn't expect - the surprise in-ring return of Katsuyori Shibata. It happened just after the intermission of New Japan's G1 Climax Final show. Just about everyone was stunned to see Shibata walk out for an unannounced exhibition match against Zack Sabre Jr. Wearing little more than shorts and sneakers, the two grappled their way to a time limit draw after a mere FIVE minutes of action. This was NOT a hard-hitting match...but for fans of Shibata...it was something...and the hope that there may be more to come. Shibata was forced into retirement by a head injury, suffered during a match back in 2017. The G1 Climax final itself...was a bit of a buzzkill. Kota Ibushi injured his right arm when he missed a Phoenix Splash. It was ruled that Ibushi could not continue...and Kazuchika Okada was declared the G1 winner. (STINGER: Impact) Impact Wrestling last night put the final pieces in place for Saturday's Bound For Glory pay per view. The Good Brothers will defend the Impact Tag Titles in a 3-Way against BOTH FinJuice AND Bullet Club's Chris Bey & Hikuleo. The challenging teams met last night - but the match ended in a double pin...after two referees ended up in the ring and both counted a pinfall. The six wrestlers who will meet on Saturday to decide the first Impact Digital Media Champion came together for a 3-Way Tag Team Match last night. John Skyler & Tenille Dashwood beat Crazzy Steve & Chelsea Green and Jordynne Grace & Fallah Bahh. Dashwood pinned Fallah Bahh after hitting him with the Spotlight Kick. Also last night...Mickie James pinned Savannah Evans with her signature DDT. Trey Miguel beat Alex Zayne. AND Brian Myers kicked Sam Beale and Manny Lemons out from under his Learning Tree. W. Morrissey beat Jake Something on Before The Impact. (STINGER: ROH) It's all Violence Unlimited vs. The Foundation on this weekend's Ring Of Honor TV. Jay Lethal goes one on one with Homicide. Plus, Tony Deppen vs. Rhett Titus...and Brody King & Chris Dickinson vs. Jonathan Gresham & HOT SAUCE Tracy Williams. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, October 22. Listen and subscribe at www.JustProWrestlingNews.com I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Friday, May 7, 2021. This update is brought to you by IndyWrestling.us. (STINGER: WWE) Tonight's SmackDown will be a special “throwback” edition. As for action in the ring, WWE is promoting Cesaro vs. Seth Rollins. There will be some new names on tonight's 205 Live: Ari Sterling - the former Alex Zayne...and Ikemen Jiro. Amir Jordan is LEAVING NXT UK. That's the result of his loss to Kenny Williams on Thursday's show. A match between Ilja Dragunov and Dave Mastiff ended in a referee stoppage after an elbow from Dragunov struck Mastiff square in the nose. Also, Trent Seven pinned Saxon Huxley, thanks in part to a timely distraction from Sam Gradwell. Next week, there will be a #1 Contender's Gauntlet Match for a shot at Kay Lee Ray's UK Women's title: Isla Dawn vs. Jinny vs. Xia Brookside vs. Emilia McKenzie vs. Dani Luna. Another wrestler, Amale (uh-MEL), was not happy she was left out of this. She attacked Brookside during Thursday's show. (STINGER: ROH) This weekend's Ring Of Honor TV has the ROH in-ring debut of backstage broadcaster Quinn McKay. She'll face Angelina Love. If McKay wins, she is IN the upcoming ROH Women's Title Tournament. Also on the show, The Briscoes vs. EC3 and Flip Gordon...and Brian Johnson will issue an open challenge. (STINGER: Impact) The final three participants are now set for a #1 Contender's match for Kenny Omega's Impact World Championship. The qualifying matches went down last night. Moose beat James Storm. Trey Miguel submitted Rohit Raju. And Chris Sabin got past Rhino. They'll join Sami Callihan, Matt Cardona and Chris Bey in the 6-Way #1 Contender's Match at Under Siege. That's an Impact Plus exclusive show coming up on Saturday, May 15th. Rosemary and Havok will meet next week...with the winner getting a shot at Knockouts Champ Deonna Purrazzo at Under Siege. New Japan's El Phantasmo made his Impact debut...and used his Sudden Death superkick to beat VSK. Also last night, Doc Gallows pinned Juice Robinson...Taylor Wilde beat Susan...and Rachael Ellering pinned Kiera Hogan. (STINGER: New Japan) Tonight's New Japan Strong will see Jon Moxley in action. He's tagging with Chris Dickinson against the team of Yuji Nagata and Ren Narita. Mox will defend his IWGP United States Championship against Nagata on next Wednesday's AEW Dynamite. The COVID-19 state of emergency in Japan is being extended...and expanded. The country's Prime Minister is pushing the end date through the end of May. The state of emergency covers areas in and around Tokyo and Osaka...with Aichi and Fukuoka now added to the list. Some of the restrictions on businesses are expected to be eased. The encouraging news for pro wrestling companies in Japan is that the ban on spectators at large sporting events will be scaled back. Attendance will be capped at 5,000 people - or 50% of the venue's capacity. That would be good news for pro wrestling companies, including New Japan - which has a major show in Tokyo Dome on May 29th. Salina de la Renta is leaving MLW. Her final appearance was on last Wednesday's Fusion...when she crossed paths on-screen with the “El Jefe” of Azteca Underground. The man known in Lucha Underground as “Dario Cueto” will get a new name, according to MLW's Court Bauer. (Bauer On Cueto Name) Bauer speaking with Post Wrestling's John Pollock. Bauer says the deal with actor Luis Fernandez-Gil will keep him with MLW “for many years to come”. Bauer was asked about reports of recent talks between MLW and WWE, but he declined to comment. James was among the wrestlers released by WWE earlier this week. John Laurinaitis, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon tweeted Thursday that a WWE employee had been FIRED over the incident. There were reports of a broader shakeup of personnel in the Talent Relations Department...even before Carrano's firing was reported.
I talk about the up-and-coming talented John Silver, his latest performance on dynamite, and what I think we will see happen in his near future. Also in this episode I discuss WWE wasting the talents of its UK stars like Dave Mastiff, Aoife Valkyrie, and Ilja Dragunov.
The Bomber" Dave Mastiff def. Joseph Conners in a Heritage Cup First Round Match Two of NXT UK's hardest hitters clashed in exactly the fashion one would expect, exchanging hard strikes throughout, though no falls were scored until the third round. Dave Mastiff became the first Superstar to win a Heritage Cup bout via knockout, as he blasted Joseph Conners with a massive right hand to put him on dream street and advance. Piper Niven def. Isla Dawn Isla Dawn nearly scored an upset, landing several near-falls against Piper Niven, including a breathtakingly close instance following a top-rope Meteora. Niven fought out of a modified Dragon Sleeper, dropping The White Witch with a high-angle back suplex before connecting with a running corner cannonball and planting her with a Michinoku Driver for the victory. Ilja Dragunov & Pete Dunne def. WALTER & Alexander Wolfe The NXT United Kingdom Champion and Ilja Dragunov gave the NXT UK Universe a sneak peek of their highly anticipated title bout in two weeks, punishing each other with signature offense. WALTER seemingly grew frustrated with his inability to put The Mad Russian away, netting only a two-count after a massive release German suplex. He took out his frustration by delivering blistering chops, making mincemeat of Dragunov's chest. But Dragunov fought his way out of WALTER's sleeper with relentless strikes of his own, and somehow summoned the strength to hit a Gotch lift suplex on the much larger champion. Pete Dunne, competing in his first NXT UK bout in more than a year, neutralized Alexander Wolfe on the outside by splaying his fingers, giving Dragunov an opening to connect with Torpedo Moscow on The Ring General. Becoming the first NXT UK Superstar to pin WALTER, Dragunov's victory left everyone wondering if he'll be able to repeat this unbelievable feat come Oct. 29 in a one-on-one setting with the NXT United Kingdom Title on the line. https://anchor.fm/jesse-markes https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/markesinwheelchair-1371389 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/markesinwheelchair/id1524667030 https://anchor.fm/jesse-markes/support https://markespodcast.blogspot.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/markespodcast/?notif_id=1598883943162363¬if_t=group_invited_to_group&ref=notif https://www.stitcher.com/s?eid=77348908 https://www.breaker.audio/markesinwheelchair-1 share with your friends #markesinwheelchair https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-markesinwheelchair-69193952/ #india #uk #usa #canada #russiahttps://anchor.fm/jesse-markes https://www.podchaser.com/podcasts/markesinwheelchair-1371389 https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/markesinwheelchair/id1524667030 https://anchor.fm/jesse-markes/support https://markespodcast.blogspot.com https://www.facebook.com/groups/markespodcast/?notif_id=1598883943162363¬if_t=group_invited_to_group&ref=notif https://www.stitcher.com/s?eid=77348908 https://www.breaker.audio/markesinwheelchair-1 share with your friends #markesinwheelchair https://www.iheart.com/podcast/269-markesinwheelchair-69193952/ #india #uk #usa #canada #russia #wwenxt #review for 10/14 --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/jesse-markes/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jesse-markes/support

Dave Mastiff wants a fight with WWE NXT UK Champion Walter. And it’s mentor versus protege as Tyler Bate goes one on one with A-Kid!
Today I watched WWE NXT 546 and NXT UK 78 broadcast January 29-30, 2020! But first I talk about tv shows The Circle, Truth Be Told, and some other stuff. Then later I talk about the first two episodes of Miz and Mrs. Season 2! Some of the matches in these episodes are Finn Balor vs Trent Seven, Shotzi Blackheart vs Deonna Purrazzo, Dominik Dijakovic vs Damian Priest, Tegan Nox vs Dakota Kai, Matt Riddle and Pete Dunne vs the Grizzled Young Veterans, Oney Lorcan and Danny Burch vs The Hunt, and Flash Morgan Webster, Mark Andrews and Dave Mastiff vs Imperium!
It's been three weeks since I have given you guys a review for NXT UK and with a match like Jordan Devlin vs Dave Mastiff, I had to come back strong for Episode 125 of the Young Lion's Perspective! But before we get into the fun stuff, I had to pull a Lance Storm and get serious for a minute about the situation in Saudi Arabia. I discuss the many aspects of the situation including my thoughts on talent losing respect for Vince McMahon, what Hugo Savinovich stated about what happened and what this means for the financial side of WWE. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/younglionsperspective/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/younglionsperspective/support

August 31, 2019 was going to be a historic day in pro wrestling. After all, AEW was going to host its second ever major PPV, All Out, in Chicago, IL, in the same building where All In created a movement that led to the birth of the All Elite Wrestling. To say excitement and anticipation were at an all-time high would not be much of an overstatement. But, a funny thing happened on the way to All Out. Earlier in the day, halfway across the globe, in Cardiff, Wales, NXT UK was also hosting its second major event, NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff. Both shows were excellent, but Takeover: Cardiff might have actually been the better show. Opinions have varied widely on this topic and on Episode 256, Big Dave is back to recap both of these huge events and much more. With Clash of Champions looming this weekend, Big Dave begins by recapping events in WWE, NXT, and NXT UK between August 20 - August 31, 2019. Highlights include continuing recaps of the King of The Ring matches, an incredible rematch between Keith Lee and Dominick Dijakovic, Killian Dain and Matt Riddle destroying each other, Sasha Banks's explanation, a massive tag team gauntlet match, the ongoing Roman Reigns saga, Rhea Ripley showing up in NXT and the Undisputed Era making history by becoming the first ever 3x NXT Tag Champs. From there, Big Dave recaps NXT UK Takeover: Cardiff. It was a night of incredible action, title changes, a brutal Last Man Standing match, and a Main Event that will certainly gain consideration for Match of the Year. Who would answer Cesaro's open challenge in Cardiff? Who was the Last Man Standing between Dave Mastiff and Joe Coffey? Did Flash Morgan Webster and Mark Andrews make history? How did Kay Lee Ray defeat Toni Storm mentally before she beat her to take the NXT UK Women's Championship? Could Tyler Bate do the unthinkable by defeating the unbeatable, Walter, with the WWE UK Championship on the line? What made this card so great? We cover it all for you on Episode 256. We then close things out be reviewing AEW's All Out. Make no mistake, this was a tremendous card as well. Did Kenny Omega fail to adequately adjust his strategy against PAC? Who would end up challenging each other for the AEW Women's Championship on the October 2 debut episode on TNT? Could Cody Rhodes gain a measure of revenge against the main who blasted a chair into his head, Shawn Spears? Did the Young Bucks and Lucha Brothers have the greatest ladder match of all-time? And how did Chris Jericho defeat Hangman Page to become the first ever AEW World Champion? We recap all the events from this amazing event and recap whether NXT's British cousin actually stole the weekend from AEW. Tune in to Episode 256 for all this and more.

The Brothers of Discussion go over the big press conference for AEW. Sure, it was exciting, but did it really need to happen? They also go over whether RAW is really making changes, with the return of Hulk Hogan and John Cena, the fact that SmackDown was the best show for the WWE this week, and your official NXT UK TakeOver Blackpool Preview! Show Notes AEW Very silly presentation by AEW Felt like someone who wants attention so they post on social media that they're going to start a new diet Unless I'm mistaken, they weren't in need of any more investors Very excited that Mr. Garrison from South Park was the master of ceremonies Pac and Chris Jericho were fun, and Billy Gunn is a producer They need about 6 more Chris Jerichos (not Tye Dillinger, not the Revival, Y2J's) NXT Johnny Gargano gets his match with Ricochet As if we didn't know it was coming DIY keeps getting the hints and the nods Aleister gets the Undertaker treatment, with lights going out, all non-Aleisters poo their pants over his music, actually, being projected on the jumbotron, he looked like the garage scene from “IT”, playing the role of Pennywise Bianca Belair sends Nikki Cross to the main roster on her back Tag Team division appears to be growing again Street Profits are back, and they got to open doors for 10 minutes Aichner and Barthel get a victory, yay! Or should i say, NEIN! War Raiders between poop out of Undisputed Era EC3 says goodbye with Adam Cole's kneeprint on his skull NXT UK Gallus vs Mustache Mountain and Pete Dunne 30-minute epic Camera work screwed up some false finishes Ligero vs Joseph Conners Looks like El Generico vs the Wolfman from Harry Potter Ligero wins with a spinning DDT Tyler Bate corkscrew 1080 off the top rope Joe Coffey gets the pin...will Blackpool follow main roster 50/50 booking NXT UK TAKEOVER BLACKPOOL Rhea Ripley (c) v Toni Storm for the NXT UK WOmen's CHampionship Pete Dunne (c) v Joe Coffey of Gallus for the NXT UK Championship Moustache Mountain v Zack Gibson and James Drake 1st NXT UK Champions ((Grizzled Young Veterans, wtf?) Dave Mastiff v Eddie Dennis Travis Banks (Kiwi Buzzsaw) v Jordan Devlin (the Finn Balor trainee) RAW Fuckin Hulk Hogan has an emotional promo Still bad idea Great way to send Hogan off into the sunset Revival vs Gable and Roode is a good wrestling Do we care? Can it get to Uso/New Day/Bar level? Everything else really sucked Elias and Corbin Brock and Strowman Mixed Tag with Apollo and Moon vs Mahal and Alicia Fox Moment of Bliss Rollins and Ambrose Cena + Rollins + Finn was kind of kewl, but a reminder we're back to people declaring themselves into the Rumble instead of earning it :( SmackDown Live Daniel Bryan makes us all feel bad, not me though, I had vegan chicken nuggets for dinner Rey and Mustafa Ali vs Samoa Joe and Almas Pretty god damn good/Almas can even make Mysterio look good The Bar and Usos deliver AGAIN Nakamura and Rusev is really good I think Nakamura looks more like the rockstar again Great storyline showing the heel being correct about the accusations being thrown When are Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair going to get arrested for stealing another show?
