Happy Birthday wXw! Im Dezember 2000 schrieb westside Xtreme Wrestling in einer kleinen Essener Diskothek im Herzen des Ruhrgebiets die ersten Kapitel seiner Geschichte. 25 Jahre später ist hieraus eine der bedeutendsten Wrestling-Promotions Europas geworden: wXw tourt durch ganz Deutschland und füllt regelmäßig Hallen mit hunderten begeisterten Fans. Zum großen Jubiläums-Special „25th Anniversary“ in Oberhausen war die Turbinenhalle entsprechend gut gefüllt – und natürlich ließen sich auch David (aka VidDaP) und Julian (aka justxjulez) dieses besondere Event nicht entgehen. Zum Jahresabschluss platzte die pickepackevolle Halle ebenso aus allen Nähten wie die Matchcard. Im Main Event stand ein Titelmatch um die wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship zwischen Peter Tihanyi und Ahura auf dem Programm. Doch schon früh zog auch das große Finale der erbitterten Fehde zwischen den wXw World Tag Team Champions Planet Gojirah (Robert Dreissker & Marc Empire) und The Grind (Laurance Roman & Nick Schreier) alle Blicke auf sich. Nach dem unrühmlichen Abgang des vorherigen Champions wurde die wXw European Championship in einem packenden 3-Way Match zwischen Zoltan, Ricky Sosa und Joseph Fenech Jr. neu ausgekämpft, während Dennis „Cash“ Dullnig seine wXw Shotgun Championship gegen einen Überraschungsgegner verteidigen musste.
