(STINGER: WWE) Andrade is apparently getting what he wants. WWE announced Sunday night that it's come to terms on his release. Andrade was a former United States and NXT Champion, but he hadn't appeared on WWE TV since last October. Roman Reigns is still the Universal Champion, but his win over Daniel Bryan at Fastlane was FAR from conclusive. The end of last night's main event saw the referee knocked out, putting the special enforcer Edge in the position of officiating the match. Bryan fought off a steel chair attack by Jey Uso. Then, went to hit Reigns, BUT Reigns and Bryan hit Edge instead. Moments later, Bryan got Reigns in the Yes Lock. Reigns was tapping, but Edge didn't bother checking on Reigns. He just hit Bryan with the chair - hit Reigns too - and then, walked out. Reigns crawled on top of Bryan...a backup referee ran out...and Reigns got the pin. The Fiend is BACK. He emerged in the flesh for the first time since December to help Alexa Bliss defeat Randy Orton. Before Bliss even made her entrance, Orton coughed up some BLACK GOO! After the bell rang, Bliss conjured a wall of flames...and lured Orton around the ring, where a lighting rig nearly fell on him. Back in the ring, Bliss shot a fireball at Orton. It didn't do much damage. But THEN, a hand reached up through a hole in the ring - followed by more flames! The Fiend then emerged from the hole, sporting a new, charred look that calls back to last December, when Orton lit The Fiend on fire. Anway, The Fiend hit Sister Abigail...and Bliss PINNED Orton. Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax are still the WWE Women's Tag Team Champions. Dissension between Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair cost them the match...as Baszler rolled up Belair for the pin. After the match, Banks chewed out Belair and slapped her in the face. There was a confusing ending to the Intercontinental Title match between Big E and Apollo Crews. Big E appeared to roll up Crews for the pin, but Crews just kept beating up on Big E for a little while longer. Riddle retained his United States Championship by pinning Mustafa Ali. After the match, Ali berated Retribution...and paid the price for it. Reckoning and Slapjack walked out on him...and then, T-Bar and Mace hit Ali with a double chokeslam. Drew McIntyre beat Sheamus in a hard-hitting No Holds Barred Match. Seth Rollins pinned Shinsuke Nakamura. The match between Shane McMahon and Braun Strowman announced on last Monday's Raw did NOT happen. Shane claimed he suffered a knee injury during training. So, Strowman beat Elias instead. The 24/7 Championship changed hands at Fastlane. R-Truth briefly lost it to an Old Spice pitchman. Truth quickly got his baby back afterward. Tonight's Raw is promoting an appearance by Rhea Ripley The NXT Championship will be defended in the main event of Night 2 of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver...coming up on Thursday, April 8th...exclusively on Peacock. (STINGER: AEW) AEW is promoting a “triple main event” for tonight's Dark: Elevation: LEGIT Leyla Hirsch vs. Ryo Mizunami...Orange Cassidy vs. Ryan Nemeth...and Ethan Page vs. Alan “5” Angels. (STINGER: New Japan) Will Ospreay pinned Shingo Takagi on Sunday to win the New Japan Cup tournament. Ospreay's win means he will challenge Kota Ibushi for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship at the Sakura Genesis show on April 4th. Ospreay and Ibushi were face to face at the end of Sunday's show. That's when Ospreay shockingly delivered a no-look cutter to his girlfriend Bea Priestley. (Ospreay Attacks Priestley) That clip from New Japan's social media. Sunday's show opened with the return of YOH. He's been out with a torn ACL since last July. YOH said he and his Roppongi 3K teammate SHO want a shot at the Jr. Tag Titles - currently held by El Desperado and Yoshinobu Kanemaru. Nick Aldis is still the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion. He used an inside cradle to pin Aron Stevens in the main event of Sunday's Back For The Attack pay per view. Kamille delivered a pair of spears and pinned Thunder Rosa.. to become the #1 contender for Serena Deeb's NWA Women's Title. The show also saw the NWA debut of former TNA Knockouts Champion Taryn Terrell...who declared she also wants a shot at Deeb. Trevor Murdoch used a Sunset Flip to pin Chris Adonis...and retain his National Heavyweight Championship. Adonis attacked Murdoch after the match. The Pope retained his NWA TV Title...after his defense against Thom Lattimer ended in a time limit draw. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Monday, March 22. I'm Matt Carlins and this is JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, January 19, 2021. This update is sponsored by IndyWrestling.us. Results from Monday Night's Raw and Ring Of Honor's weekend TV are straight ahead in this update but first… WWE Champion Drew McIntyre announcing Monday he'll be back on Raw NEXT Monday night. McIntyre is quarantining after he tested positive for COVID-19. WWE also promoting Goldberg for next Monday - the final Raw before the Royal Rumble, where Goldberg will challenge McIntyre for the WWE title. Newly declared entrants for the Royal Rumble matches: Jeff Hardy, Peyton Royce and Alexa Bliss. Speaking of Bliss...she scored a BIG win in the main event of last night's Raw - pinning the Raw Women's Champion Asuka. It was a non-title match. Alexa seemingly transformed mid-match into a more evil version of herself...absorbed some powerful strikes from Asuka...and then hit Sister Abigail for the win. As for Randy Orton - one week after Bliss blasted him with a fireball to the face... Orton appeared backstage in a dark room, wearing a mask, at the start of Raw. AJ Styles beat Ricochet after an eye-popping reversal into a Styles Clash. Ricochet was hoping to prove that he deserves a spot in the Royal Rumble. Shayna Baszler tapped out Mandy Rose. Shayna and Nia Jax are NOT getting along. The Hurt Business beat Riddle and the Lucha House Party. Cedrix Alexander and Shelton Benjamin are NOT getting along either. Charlotte Flair submitted Peyton Royce. Ric Flair showed up along with Lacey Evans - who was wearing one of Ric's robes - but their distraction was ineffective. Also, Mace from Retribution beat Xavier Woods. (STINGER: Impact) Tonight's Impact Wrestling has fallout from last Saturday's Hard To Kill pay per view. Plus, Eric Young vs. Rhino...and Kimber Lee & Susan vs. Jordynne Grace & Jazz. Four-time former Knockouts Champion ODB says she's returning to Impact. (ODB Impact Return) ODB speaking with Chris Van Vliet. She said we can expect to see her in Impact “soon”. (STINGER: AEW) Tonight's AEW Dark has 14 matches. Among them, Santana & Ortiz vs. Danny Limelight & Jon Cruz…”Dragon vs. Dinosaur”: Brandon Cutler vs. Luchasaurus...plus, the Lucha Bros. are in action. Bullet Club's Tama Tonga blasting The Elite yet again - and the Bullet Club imagery recently seen on AEW and Impact TV. (Tama Blasts The Elite) That clip from a video tweeted by Tama as he promoted his Tama's Island podcast which is streaming on Twitch tonight. By the way, New Japan is wrapping up three straight days at Korakuen Hall this morning with another Road To The New Beginning show. (STINGER: ROH) Dragon Lee is still the Ring Of Honor TV champion. He survived a tough challenge from Rey Horus on ROH's weekend TV. Also on that show, Flip Gordon pinned Rhett Titus in a Pure Rules. But because he punched Rhett in the face during the match - on top of other past behavior - Flip is now SUSPENDED from the Pure Division. Ring Of Honor's “Week By Week” YouTube show today will have a Gauntlet Match involving students from the ROH Dojo. The winner gets a shot at Jonathan Gresham's Pure Title. It'll be Joe Keys vs. Dante Caballero vs. Ken Dixon vs. Eric Martin. That's JUST Pro Wrestling News for Tuesday, January 19. Our next update comes your way tomorrow morning. In this installment of BabbleMania, I discuss and run-through this past weeks episodes of WWE's Monday Night Raw and Smackdown, and AEW's Dynamite. Raw was fluid once again, but how fluid is the friendship of Big Poppa Drew and Keith "Over 9000" Lee? Dynamite delivered, as always, but is the Sue 3:16 Era upon us? And Smackdown may have been...eh...but boy howdy that Sister Abigail sure wasn't. Lets get to babblin'! Tonight we come to you live on a special evening, at 11pm CST. 1-347-857-1060 is the number to hit up. We begin the first fall discussing everything in the world of wrestling over the last week. A huge angle has been discussed for Bray Wyatt for years, and last Monday we got a glimps of.....her. Yes, Sister Abigail looks to be making her debut....sort of. It's part of Raw, but we may need to discuss this right away. Alex will play creative control, as we know Ryan can go off the deep end some times. War Games has been announced for NXT Takeover: Houston. The guys breakdown if this is the best time for this, or the best scenario for the return. Also, Ryan does have a rant, as Cody Rhodes has been going off on twitter, and it's starting to seem like he is the bitter one on this breakup from the WWE. Also we toss in some Jim Cornette talk and Sami Callihan rumors, and more. We open the second fall by going Outside The Universe discussing the results from New Japan's King of Pro Wrestling show Monday morning. We saw the debut of Roppongi 3K, a great final three matches, and a very enjoyable undercard. We dip a little into what we could see happnening next, and what should be at Power Struggle, and what will be at Wrestle Kingdom 12. We close tonight in the third fall circling back to being Inside The Universe. Depending on time we look at last weeks Raw and Smackdown, and then dive into Hell in a Cell. Did the cell matches live up to the hype? Did they deliver a better show than No Mercy, and what did the guys think of the shocker at the end of the PPV. All this and more tonight on WrestleCast Radio!
