How do you equip kids to have the bravery to face bullies and maintain their mental health? Recently, Mitch experienced this for himself when one of his daughters was picked on - and in the process he discovered how easy it is for that personal development mindset to go out the window when you want to protect your kid. But he learnt some important lessons in the process, which he and Mills are breaking down in this new podcast episode that's a MUST LISTEN for any parent. Quick takeaways: Setting strong boundaries is a MUST. Help them shape their inner warrior Let them build relationships with trusted people Transformation starts from YOU so lead by example.
Can you tell a person's relationship with their parents based on their hair? What about how reckless they are based on their nose? Well, you might be surprised by how much our physical body gives away about the subconscious issues going on for us… In this week's exciting new podcast episode we're chatting with Nerida Mills, who's spent years studying and training in the psychosomatic field, about how ailments, trauma, and personality points show up in the body. As she says “The body is beautiful, because it cannot lie. It expresses the truth of the moment.” This is a MUST LISTEN if you want to unlock the secrets behind your skin, and especially if you want some (funny) insights into what Mitch and Mills' faces reveal about them!
Are you living paycheck-to-paycheck? Then STOP what you're doing and read this. There are a lot of people doing it tough right now. They're trying their best to save and they feel like they're getting pushback from the universe everytime they go to the shops, open their bills, or see interest rates increase for the TENTH time. So, we've come together to chat about not just WHY this is happening, but the steps you can take right now to start getting ahead. Be warned though. This stuff ain't easy. You've got to be prepared to do the work. Because it all boils down to 2 things. Where you are getting your money (Are you putting the DEMAND on yourself) Where you are spending your money (Are you being REAL about measuring it) If you're ready to put ‘scraping by' behind you, then tune into this episode and discover the strategy that will get you started.
We all know what transformation starts from within… but how deep does it really go? Organs? Tissues? Cells? Molecules? When we talk about shifting your perspective as a way of changing your life, this process isn't something that simply takes place on an exterior level. It also happens to your cells. Just how layered it goes is what we're talking about with Microbiologist Lina Farfan, who returns for this special part two episode of Dorothy and the Dealer. Listen now to hear this science in simple terms, as well as new perspectives on antibiotic resistance, herd immunity, and how fungi have proven themselves more intelligent than humans! (well… sometimes).
Are fungi smart enough to take over the world? Did life on earth come from comets? What's the importance of fungi to crops, medicine, and the human brain? And what can all this science tell us about personal development? They're the questions we're chatting about with Perth Microbiologist Lina Farfan, in this special podcast episode. The good news - we're probably not headed down the path of The Last Of Us. (We made her ASSURE us of this after we finished recording) But there's still plenty to learn in the meantime about mushies (and the universe)…
If you let it, fear will RUN your life into the freaking ground. You see, the truth is we all like to think that we're immune from fear. We say we're not scared to be in a relationship, build the business of our dreams, or spend time with our own thoughts. But how often do you hear about people trying to control these very things? They boss their partner around. Micromanage their business. Or organise every moment of their lives to be doing something. That's because control > comes from fear. And fear > comes from a lack of clarity. But when you're able to get clear, the fear starts to melt away and you're left feeling completely empowered! Which is what we're chatting about in this new podcast episode. Fix your fear today! Next time you're scared or controlling something, ask yourself these three questions: Where am I afraid? Where am I not trusting? Where am I not clear?
How do you deal with criticism? When you're doing something important in life, you're bound to ruffle a few feathers. So how are you meant to react when this happens? The secret is in owning your part of things. When you own your role, the places where you need to look within, and how clear your intentions are, then it will stop feeling like criticism. In this week's episode of Dorothy and the Dealer, we expand on this idea and show you the ways criticism shows up in your life, and how to manage it when it does.
Want to know the simplest sign that you're hiding an inner wound? You're repeating the same cycles When you get stuck in a repetitive rut; whether it's with your finances, your relationships, your friends, or your family, this behaviour is a sure bet that there's something deeper you're trying to avoid. Step one on any growth journey is realising that whether it's a glass ceiling or a Bandaid, there're many ways we'll dress up the stuff we don't want to face or push past. So are you ready to understand your inner wounds and heal them? Then make sure you listen to this episode of our podcast Dorothy and the Dealer.
When it comes to the masculine and the feminine, we often fall victim to thinking we can only live in one space with our significant other. But to develop strong, connected relationships, we have to learn to embrace both. So, how do we find the balance? That's what we're chatting with MJB's Mind Body expert and relationships specialist Nerida about in this episode, as she describes how to bring attention to the feminine through tasks that let you be heard, and how to nurture the masculine by bringing practicality and organisation to the table. If you're struggling with your partner - this is a must listen.
What do you think the effect of the pharmaceutical industry has been on plant medicine? It's a hotly debated topic, but we've got to admit Dr Dave's perspective feels like one of the most balanced ones we've heard in a while. If you're keen to learn more about the power of plants, how to balance CBD use, the difference between the cannabinoid and opioid systems in the body and much more then tune into the second part of our conversation with our friend and client today!
It's time to talk Marijuana Okay, straight up… We're just going to apologise for the sound quality on this one as our microphones weren't working. But the content in this podcast makes up for it, we promise. In this episode, Mitch and Mills are joined by everyone's favourite doctor Dave, to talk about the legalisation of cannabis, its use in holistic and western medicine, and how to balance the scepticism with the potential benefits of its use. Here's our top three takeaways: The history of cannabis is SO much more complex than we thought! There's a whole network in the human body called the Cannabinoid System that deals with these molecules and chemicals. Cannabis is just one tool to assist with transformation. Like everything in your life, healing requires balance with lifestyle, mindset, and much more. If you enjoy this episode stay tuned because we've got a part 2 with Dr. Dave coming next week!
Whether it's criticising other people because we want to divert attention away from something we're afraid to work on within, or thinking we've missed out on something when that ‘loss' might actually have been a blessing in disguise. Lessons come in many forms In this podcast episode we're chatting about the quotes that help us shift our perspective and bust through our glass ceiling. Here's hoping they do the same for you!
The success of any business is 80% mindset. So, when you feel like you're being slammed by a problem, these are the three questions you should be ask yourself to work smarter not harder! (self-worth) A mindset breakthrough is all you may need to see things differently! Tune in to learn more.

We know WHAT boundaries are… WHEN we need them… So that just leaves us with one last question… HOW do we go about establishing them? That's the topic on everyone's lips today in the latest podcast from our Boundaries mini-series, with Mitch and Mills honing in on 5 steps you can take right now to protect your peace. Interrogate the discomfort (don't numb it) Set boundaries with yourself first (Go within before focusing outward Communicate. Communicate. Communicate. (Stop expecting others to get your position without telling them it first) Make it a statement (Questions imply you're open to moving the lines. You don't have to excuse yourself) Be strong but not defensive (When you are the latter you perceive others can take that boundary off you) Remember - it's not our job to make everyone love us. It's to create clear lines so that when others want to come in, they know the rules.
Setting and enforcing strong boundaries can be the difference between imploding your life and transforming it. It should come as no surprise then that this is one of the things we're asked to speak about most often. So, over the next two weeks we're giving you a mini-series of podcasts about this! Including how to know you need boundaries in your life (Part 1) and what to do to put them in place (Part 2). In this episode Mills is dishing out FIVE signs boundaries are lacking in your life. Constantly being a people pleaser (where do you stop and someone else starts) An inability to speak up (Or being too emotional when you do) Feeling guilty or anxious all the time (Because you're putting more value on someone else) A fear of rejection (Not wanting to lose someone else, but losing yourself instead. You carry resentment that people don't ‘know' what you need. (People can only ‘cross' lines if you've actually set & communicated them first.

In this special episode, you'll get to hear how the book has affected Mitch and Mills lives - including the first time they read it, how it has shaped their travels to India, and even Mitch's connection to the famed author who wrote it. Tune in to this episode now for a little mental escape to India.
Falling out of love with someone is one of the greatest pains you can endure in life. But did you know that 99% of the time it comes down to just one of two things… #1 - You find that your individual values have grown so vastly different that they no longer work together. Or #2 - You are no longer communicating in terms of those values. Now, there's not a lot you can do about number one if you want to stay true to who you are. But number two? That one we can fix. In this episode of Dorothy and the Dealer, Mitch and Mills break down the four steps you can take to nurture connection and love with your partner. Set a particular time each week (or day) to talk - Come together in a place of respect and understanding. Leave judgement out of it - Create a space that is safe and free from finger-pointing. Remember that it is you and your partner against the problem, not you against your partner. Use structured questions - Things like “Is anything unresolved for you?” or “In what ways can I show up for you this week to show I care?” Remember to acknowledge the good - All relationships are about balance, so don't forget to praise instead of just raise problems.
