In this Episode I share how I constantly think, how can I get the word out there more. What am I missing, when it comes to educating women about the care they should have during pregnancy, postpartum and through menopause and how it will literally transform their lives. This is why I take every single speaking engagement I possibly can. It is so important to me that women know how to support their bodies and keep them physically healthy (avoiding joint replacements, urinary incontinence and debilitating pain later in life). Here's what I told a client this week after she said, "It's amazing how many of my friends had amazing births because of you all here." I was so honored to hear that and I told her. "What I am even more excited about is seeing you and your friends turn 50 and not show up with all these other issues because you did the work preventively and continue to keep your core and pelvic floor healthy." *ONE KEY INGREDIENT NO WOMEN ARE TAUGHT AND SHOULD BE, IS HOW TO KEEP THEIR PELVIC ORGANS INSIDE THEIR BODIES SO THEY DON'T FALL OUT AS WE GET OLDER, AND HOW TO TRULY KEEP A HEALTHY PELVIC FLOOR THAT IS A DYNAMIC FORCE ABSORBER****She laughed but it is so true. I believe so deeply in the impact of what we are doing. Connecting people to their entire core, healing all the compensations in their bodies that come up through life, pregnancies, surgeries, and injuries. Teaching people how to utilize their vaginas and pelvic floors to keep them mobile and as strong force absorbers is the key to vitality. Usually, by the time people end up in front of me, they have tried multiple pelvic PT clinics, they have gone to different body workers and different providers. It irritates me that they haven't gotten the help they need to live a life where they can do whatever they please without the consequences of symptoms like pelvic pain, pelvic pressure, back pain, sciatica, tailbone jamming into them when they sit, constantly rushing to the bathroom. No one has to live with these symptoms but by the time you get to a place in life where you're shifting what you could and would do if you didn't have the symptoms, you start writing new stories for yourself. These are often limiting beliefs. -I can't go to Portland for memorial day because I have to stop to pee every 30 minutes to 1hr. -I can't work anymore and have decided to stay home with the kids because my sciatic pain is so bad, but now that I am home with the kids, I can't take care of them or do fun adventures with them. . - I can't buy colored leggings for working out. -I can't train for a marathon or half because I can only run for 3 miles without peeing or pooping myself. -I don't go to yoga class because I queef. -I wouldn't dare go to Flying Squirrel with my kids because I would just pee. (trampoline gym) -I don't lift weights or anything heavy because I am scared of that feeling I get like something is in my vagina. These are all the things I hear. Ways of life that people have decided. They often come to me for one of their many symptoms and then buying fun colored leggings is just a byproduct of the results they get here. And you can imagine how good it feels to rock new clothes, you didn't think you could get away with. I hope that you didn't have to change your plans this weekend because of limitations like having to pee all the time or that sciatic pain that prevents you from taking the kids for a hike. IF YOU DID.... And you feel called to change your current situation. We are here for you. If you don't think there is any hope for you. At least come talk to us.
