For more information, go to atypicalartists.co/10years and follow us on Bluesky at atypicalartists.bsky.social. Hello strange and unusual listeners - Lauren Shippen here, the creator of The Bright Sessions and voice of Sam. Unbelievably, this November 1st marks ten years since we first released the show. Over seven seasons and three books, we told a story that has been listened to tens of millions of times and that has brought so many people together in so many ways.My life is totally different now than it was 10 years ago because of this show. I fell in love with making audio drama, built a community of creative collaborators that became treasured friends and, most importantly, met all of you, virtually or in real life. I've loved hearing your stories, seeing your tattoos, and talking to you about what it means to be strange in a world that seems to reject any and all strangeness.I want to celebrate 10 years of being strange with you so, staring in April, we'll be doing livestreams every month until November with members of the cast and crew. First up, on Saturday April 26th at 4pm PT, Julia Morizawa, Briggon Snow, Anna Lore, and I will be reuniting to talk about Season 1.If you go to atypicalartists.co/10years, you can see the most up to date information and sign up for a mailing list that will give you all the livestream info you need. That link is also in the description, as is our bluesky username, if you'd like to follow us there. If you've ever had a burning question about The Bright Sessions, now is the time to ask it!Along with the livestreams, we'll also be releasing some new - and some very cool - limited run merch. And, there might be some other fun surprises along the way.I hope you'll join us on April 26th or whatever month you hear this - remember, check atypicalartists.co/10years to see the schedule! - and in the meantime, as always, stay strange.See Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.

Host Jo Reed and AudioFile's Michele Cobb discuss how this performance by a five-narrator cast is truly special. The Fall children harness unique powers. When a magical rainbow-haired girl reveals her connection with the family, it kicks off a whirlwind of secrets that will either break them apart or further unite them. What's more magical is the gorgeous concoction of every narrator's style. It genuinely feels like each character is a complete story on their own, but when blended together, they create a symphony of mystery, challenges, and compelling world-building. Briggon joins us for two tales of people who climbed too fast too quickly, and the strange, terrible consequences they faced as a result. First, Gabriel brings us the tale of an aviation pioneer who took flight in a rather alarming way. The gang, of course, makes it into a rom com about two mis-matched souls who need to find some common ground. Then, Sarah brings us the most demented story about neopets, organized crime, and password recovery to ever emerge from the depths of Twitter. We strive to turn it into an epic of organized crime, replete with everything from tragic double-crosses to criss-crossing parallel stories.  All of that, plus: bi-annual emails, juice packs, races to say, "I love you," bad puns about things rising, and things that only happen in LA! As wonderful as it feels to live at a time when podcasts rule the earth, this isn't the first golden age for audio storytelling. My guest this week is Briggon Snow, who plays Caleb on the podcast The Bright Sessions. He grew up listening to old radio shows like Abbott and Costello, and Burns and Allen. He developed a keen ear for rich characters expressed through wordplay and vocal inflection, and as an adult, it became his job to inhabit different roles in his professional life. That's how he came to realize that he was inhabiting too many roles in his personal life as well. Also, just a reminder that I host twice-monthly hangouts on YouTube, where I chat with you about the books and movies and music and shows that you're obsessed with right now. The next one is on Saturday April 6. There's a link at the top of the SOP twitter feed. And BTW, I hope you'll join us for a new weekly queer Dungeons & Dragons livestream, every Saturday at 11am Pacific. Join me and Connor Olmstead, Brian Moreno, Justin Saint, Jen Vaughn, and my partner James as DM. On our recent adventure we snuck into a cultist lair inside a giant statue to rescue a man with beautiful cheekbones. You can join us over a twitch.tv/prettyprettypixel.As always, huge thanks to everyone who makes The Sewers of Paris possible with a pledge of support on Patreon! Sad Boyz is a comedy podcast about feelings. Every week we take an emotionally resonant topic and open up while somehow making it funny. Today we're talking about masculinity (specifically toxic masculinity) and we're joined by the wonderful Briggon Snow, actor, and voice of Caleb on the Bright Sessions. We recorded this from a hotel room in anaheim while we were at vidcon.
