JKMoto a motorcycle related podcast covering current motorcycle news and racing news and results. Specializing in track riding and the average motorcycle owner/operator.
After a long winter that still involved plenty of motorcycle action, just a little bit different surface under the rubber, we meet up at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, once again with our favorite guest Lugnut!! As we've come to know and love Lugnut has plenty to tell us about what he's been up to on two wheels!!! Not only did he spend plenty of time out on the dirt on his 2-stroke Gas Gas machine, he also competed in a different style of racing to him, desert racing!!! With plenty of dirt experience under his belt, and a 2025 Moto America season to prepare for, he brought his trusty ZX-10 race platform to Las Vegas to race with CRA and shake off some of the "dust" from the winter. Although that dust may just be the dust from all his dirt racing as he still dominated the club racing field as normal!! Now ready to gear up for a season opener in Utah, and then make his way across the country with Privateer Industries to compete in Moto America!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
Round 4 of MotoGP 2025 found us in the desert of Doha under the lights with the only night race for MotoGP!! Beyond the normal excitement we always get when the sun goes down and the impressive stadium lights click on blasting the atmosphere to the next level, round 4 left us on the edge of our seats the entire way!!! From the 1st free practice, to the end of the race drama was everywhere!! The Marquez brothers will for sure have some chatting to do after this round, as we saw Alex attempt to to take Marc out in the first corner! Not much later Alex reattempted to down himself and lost his aero in the process, also forcing Fabio Digianantonio to the back of the pack!! Excitement didn't stop with the brothers though as Top Gun Maverick came out of no where to lead the race for many laps!! Bagnaia after finding himself in 11th on the start grid, gave a good fight on Sunday, but in the end it was not a match for the man who can only be beat by himself in 2025!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
This week we decided to learn a little bit more about club racing and track days across the pond!! What better way to learn, than from someone that has and is actually experiencing it! Steve from @FootageFactory offered to join us on the podcast so we jumped at the opportunity!! From original "how it all started" stories that we like to ask all our guests, to what the European scene is like, and how it differs from the US track day and club racing market, this episode just about covers it all!! Enjoy a couple of motorcycle junkies chatting about what we all love, from some different perspectives and make sure you check out Steve's You Tube channel!!! http://www.youtube.com/@UCPFZEHLyh2QABLYaSnoGgXg https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
As MotoGP came north from Argentina and found themselves on American soil once again, they found themselves in several interesting predicaments on multiple occasions!! Friday beckoned with dangerous weather as rain fell and temperatures stayed relatively low, throwing some riders off such as Ai Ogura and Marc Marquez a like!! Saturday proved to be a beautiful day with perfect weather, but with all the rain the day before we saw less than optimal track grip as the rubber was washed off by heavy waterfall. Despite this and some fights from the Ducati's in yellow, we still saw our standard finishing lineup for MotoGP 2025. Insert Sunday, what can we even say about Sunday? From chaos on the grid with riders getting bikes prepped for the rain that may or may not fall, to even more chaos as the pole sitter takes off for the pits with only 3 minutes remaining till warm up lap time!! What ensues after that? Watch/listen and find out, enjoy Episode 99!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
If you're a veteran in this wonderful sport of motorcycle track days you might be familiar with the Facebook page Trackday Addicts, if you're not familiar, it's about time you took a round turn on that!! Rather than sit down and try to explain the page and it's innerworkings on my own, we decided it would be easier to bring in an expert on the matter!! To give us a great run down of the details we brought on a guest that is also an admin for Trackday Addicts!! Makayla offered to join us and explain just what the page is, and how it has changed and had massive growth over the past few years!! So sit back, and relax as you enjoy another great episode of your favorite motorcycle podcast, and if you're not following the page on Facebook, go check it out!!!https://www.motoboutiqueohio.com/ https://joespowersportsinc.com/ https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
At this rate, it feels like we might be saying the same red and blue up on the podium every weekend this season!! From Thailand to Argentina the Marquez pair have put on quite an impressive show and proven that they are the mark to beat in 2025! Moving forward in the season what will the future bring? Will Marc bring home a championship to round off number 9, will we see Alex finally secure his first MotoGP win? Only time will tell!! Beyond the amazing duo up front, the grid has brought some interesting surprises so far this season! Honda finishing in the top 5, but not with either factory rider. Yamaha proving to maybe have something to show, or possibly proving they had more to show just needed the right rider in the seat. Where is KTM? Two of the best riders on the grid with a less than desirable package beneath them is leaving KTM quite behind in the first two rounds! Beyond MotoGP riding season is upon us, which means track days and club racing are back in the United States, ensure you stay tuned for adventure stories from this amazing season!!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
From testing to Thailand straight to racing, both the Marquez brothers proved they are not to be trifled with this year!! We kind of saw it coming based off the test results, but on race day they absolutely showed up! Many people, including myself, are already predicting an absolutely brutal season for anyone that tries to compete with Marc, he is and was at the top of his game!! Beyond Marc, we had some interesting finishing stats with an impressive strong finish from our rookie Ai Ogura on the Trackhouse Aprilia!! With Jorge Martin out for the first two rounds, Ai Ogura, Marco Bezzecchi, and Fernandez were the only Aprilia riders out there, and quite frankly the rookie looked the best!! Elsewhere on the grid we had some Yamaha's that might show something this year, and KTM's that might end up showing quite the opposite!! https://fantasy.motogp.com/ Code: NF9ZDUE9 https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
Practice, livery announcements, season launch, and testing are all wrapped up which means we are ready to kick off MotoGP 2025!! To help kick off what seems like a promising season we bring on guest/co-host Kelly to discuss the new liveries and our predictions for this upcoming season! Jorge Martin took the stroll over to Aprilia and decided he might as well bring the number one plate with him!!! Is that because we'll see him defend it well this season? Or is Jorge out of luck after stepping away from Ducati? Marc shows some promising strides on the Desmosedici 25 or is it 24? With new faces all over the paddock, or at least faces in different places everywhere, and plenty of new and exciting colors to represent 2025 is shaping up quite well!! What will the year hold? Stay tuned with JKMotoPodcast for coverage and MotoGP Fantasy!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
We are back!! After a quick break we have returned for Season 3 and are as excited as ever! To kick off the season we brought on an amazing guest Antlee Terry!!! From track days, quickly to club racing, and finishing off with a couple championship wins Antlee has tons of experience and knowledge to share!! From crashing, or not crashing, to helping new riders out and racing with the CRA we discuss almost everything!!! Antlee has proved it's never too late to get started in club racing, and is still proving that you can improve in this sport without putting bikes down all the time!! Beyond the race track he helps train street riders, and of course offers to show them the wonderful life of doing track days! Join us as we have a great chat covering Antlee and his awesome adventures!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
Episode 93 brings you a large drama about the changes in the world, specifically the changes surrounding internal combustion vs electric motors! From kids bikes, all the way up to a 450 class style CFMoto concept, "motor" cycles are truly taking over. Questions are asked like, are they actually better for the environment? Will internal combustion actually get taken over? Is it okay to ride a dirt bike or motorcycle that doesn't make the wonderful music we all love? Big questions with unknown answers!! Beyond the electric vs gasoline world, we have some news to bring from JKMoto Podcast. Your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast is far from being done, but we are going to take a brief pause as we do a little work in house to shape the future. Kohl will be missed and will definitely join us again in the future, official details on the future of JKMoto Podcast will be released in Episode 94 which will be available February 5th 2025. In the mean time we hope everyone enjoys their winter and get settled in for another amazing year of motorcycle racing across the nation and world!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
As we welcome 2025 both year and race season, we over at JKMoto Podcast enjoy looking back and reflecting on the past year and all the motorcycle adventures we enjoyed!! Join us this week as we cover the amazing year 2024 was, not just news in house but big world news hit us on all fronts and it's insane to look back and realize what a year it was! From new tracks to new licenses, and tons of races won, topped off with multiple championships 2024 was definitely a year to remember and close the book on. We look forward to another great year coming up!! What will it hold? https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Save the Highside)
As the year come to an end, and the seasons change, snow begins to fall! For those of us that love life on two wheels, what better way to enjoy the snow, then to figure out how to still ride bikes in it!!! Insert half snowmobile half dirtbike, and 100% insanity here! Kohl decided with all this motorcycling he's doing in life, maybe it's time to give the snow bike thing a shot, so we're looking forward to hearing all about his adventures out in the cold!! Back in the real world, we see some interesting moves being made by teams in Moto America, to include the Yamaha team in the SuperSport class deciding to run an R9 under their top rider for the 2025 season, it seems this may mark the official death of the beloved R6 and the end of the 600cc supersports all together!! It is sad to see this icon move on, but exciting to see where the world will go, and what else manufacturers will develop as times and emissions requirements continue to change!! Lastly, who will make their way back to MotoGP with the upcoming changes coming our way for the 2027 season, will we see Suzuki make a come back, or will BMW steal the teams out from under Ducati to make their presence known in the top racing class in the world!!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Learn to Pass)
2024 Track season for JKMoto is essentially over and as we prepare for next season and what the future will bring, we also often look back and reflect on what we've done!! To make that a little easier we decided to bring on a guest that joined us for many of the motorcycle adventures of 2025!! If there were such thing as a track son, Kelly would fit that bill for the JKMoto Team, but he also has an interesting back story that led him to eventually riding motorcycles and doing track days. From a Toyota Corolla, to 2 different sport bikes and 6 different race tracks under his belt, Kelly has quite the track record already and has a very interesting learning curve due to being a brand new rider that hit the track so early on! Stay tuned for the rest of an amazing story and quick recap of some of the adventures of the year!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Get in the Zone)
With the holiday season upon us many are out Christmas shopping and spending their money on cheer!! Don't forget that the 2025 race season is right around the corner, we don't know about you but for us just send tires was our letter to Santa this year! While most of the world is enjoying left over turkey and beginning the decorating for the season, KTM is inching dangerously close to a bankruptcy that could leave them out of MotoGP next year. While that's happening inside the Austrian company, CFMoto a relatively new Chinese motorcycle manufacturer surprises us with a new design for a liter bike!! Beyond the bike financial world news, remember that many clubs across the nation are posting their schedules up for the new year, so don't forget to pull some of that Christmas money aside and purchase a race license!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Communicate with your bike.)
It was about time we finally made a trip to the campus to visit Josh, the man behind the weekly riding tips!! From private coaching, to flat tracking, mini motos, and just an all around fun filled weekend on two wheels, this trip truly had it all! We decided it would be best to bring on Josh himself to help tell the stories about the trip down to Motor Speedway Resort Houston!! As track day junkies we have made some pretty insane trips to see race tracks all over the US, but this trip will definitely go down in the record books. Easton got his first actual taste of dirt, and the JKMoto crew proved the effectiveness of Josh's training camp by brining a brand new rider along for the trip! Tune in and enjoy as we unpack this eventful weekend!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/
MotoGP 2024 season is officially over and we have a new champion, ringing out the points until the absolute end, Pecco Bagnaia did his best to hold off the relentless fight of Jorge Martin, but in the end Martin took it home. The biggest question now as we move forward to 2025 is what the season will look like for some top names on new bikes. Martin coming to the forefront of that list as he takes his world title over to the factory Aprilia garage for next season. Vinales and Bastianini will find themselves both on KTM machinery, (non factory team) and Bezecchi will Join Jorge in the Aprilia garage, with two new faces also joining the MotoGP 2025 grid it will definitely be quite the interesting story. So while we all wait to see the next season unfurl, enjoy this quick recap of the season ending weekend!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Vision)
This week, on your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast, we decided it was about time we talked to unique guest and certified fast guy Kreece Elliott!! From a first track day at 11 years old on a not so small Ducati, to racing Moto America, and racing locally on an R1 Kreece seems like he's already done it all!! Luckily he isn't anywhere near done yet and still has plans for a future in motorcycle racing as he makes his way up in bike sizes and up the ranks in the United States. Colorado has a limited riding season with all the snow and cold in the winter, so we'll get to hear plenty more stories than just those of his local racing. From traveling down to California in the winter, to traveling out to the east coast for multiple Moto America rounds, this episode is truly coast to coast!!! Sit back and enjoy as we get a look into the young racer's life!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Work Less) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
BMW saw all of the concepts of the 2025 M1000RR with much larger wings, and well, they made them true. Not only did the M1000RR get bigger wings and more HP but the S1000RR also got a few upgrades, that also include bigger wings and more HP. But besides BMW and their new bike upgrades for the coming year, MotoGP continues to give us amazing battles and an almost never ending title fight. Martin and Bagnaia gave us some of the best battling MotoGP has seen in a long time, although only for the first 5 laps it was definitely amazing to watch. The other news we have is the official change of the last round due to natural disaster events in Valencia, we will end the season in Barcelona. Who will win? Martin could be the first satellite championship winner ever, Bagnaia could retain his 2 year running title, or lose it moving into the 2025 season. Much excitement awaits and we're here to tell about it all!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Clean Your Ears) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/

Brittani and Michelle have been on all types of sides of motorcycle track days and racing and have tons of good information, thoughts and opinions on this sport!! Michelle, who helps with Bittinger Motorsports and races herself, also has some experience as a Moto Mom, and shares a lot of insight and feelings on raising kids in motorsports!! Brittani has spent countless hours at track days and club races alike and has tons of thoughts and opinions on why every wife/girlfriend/mom should be all about this sport, and also shares some reasons why she herself has come to enjoy them continues to want to go back!! So enjoy this slightly different episode as we dive into headspace of two very talented women and hear what they have to say about this amazing sport!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Be Humble) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast)https://fantasy.motogp.com/
From down under we bring the recap of an amazing and exciting weekend of motorcycle racing!! This week's MotoGP "daredevils" took on one of the top favorite tracks of motorsport enthusiasts world wide, and delivered an epic battle for victory at Phillip Island! From qualifying 2nd to losing it quickly in both and sprint and the race, then regaining places to fight at the top, Marc Marquez definitely left it all on the table to prove he still belongs and deserves his ride next year!! Jorge Martin did not disappoint either, with a lap fast enough to put him on pole, he fought hard to keep ahead of the reigning world champion and score some much needed points before moving forward to the final 3 rounds of the season. In the northern hemisphere we crowned a new world champion "The Alien" Toprak completed what was needed to prove that both he and BMW do have what it takes to run with the top dogs and secure a season full of wins!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Take Notes) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
While we'll always still cover MotoGP, this week Japan had some "normal" racing that didn't bring too much excitement. Marc Marquez did not set a lap record so we'll definitely touch on that, but besides that and both he and Martin moving toward the front from way back there wasn't a ton going on. In other news and in a different part of the world World SuperBike remains "superior" racing with excitement for the full length, all the way up to a .003 second win!! To wrap things up this week, Yamaha announced a new motorcycle the R9, and we've got some things to say about it. Despite Yamaha trying to keep some things secret about their new 2025 model, it's pretty easy to speculate what those secret numbers will be, and the biggest question is where this bike will live in the club racing world!! Questions that remain to be answered but are great to ponder on! So sit back and relax as we unwrap another great episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
This week we decided to bring in some special guests and talk about their experiences as amateur racers with USBA!! With all three, Kohl, Rick, and Dan moving from yellow numbers this season, to rocking a white background in the upcoming 2025, we'll talk through what got them there, and the hiccups they encountered along the way! Club racing is definitely not an easy endeavor, or a cheap one. From injuries, to bike problems, and even how mindset and goals change throughout a season, we'll cover just about everything. If you're thinking of club racing, or maybe you did your first "season" and want to push it further next year, this episode is definitely worth a listen!! Besides that as always a good chat centered around motorcycles and racing never disappoints!! So buckle up and enjoy another amazing episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Getting the Bump) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Moto America has officially come to an end for 2024 so it's time for a little season recap! From the start of the season it appeared that we would have a repeat of the previous years, but the Red Mist rose to the fight and secured himself another championship win after 11 years without! Beyond Josh ending an 11 year drought for himself he also secured Ducati their first in 16 years!! Outside of Moto America we travel across the pond to cover the weekend with WSBK where Toprak continues to gain the points he needs to also secure a championship. Most would say he has that nailed down, but the season is far from over and anything could happen. In the land of Moto GP we had quite the weekend with Jorge Martin making everyone question his odds of winning a championship on the Ducati. Meanwhile on Sunday Marquez and Bastianini both lost some hefty points in the fight due to DNF's. https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Smooth Operator) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Motorcycle racing in Utah is officially over for 2024 and with the end of the season came a perfect streak for our favorite guest host Anthony "Lugnut" Norton!! So we decided to get him on the show and talk about what an amazing season it was and how he did it!! From breaking into the 1:29's on the west, to backwards wheels, and some secrets into a new tire on the Dunlop lineup we definitely talked about it all!! Don't be fooled though, we also covered plenty of other racing all over the world taking us from Italy with MotoGP, to a different part of Italy with WSBK, and even diving into the dirt world a little to talk about the end of the SuperCross season! This episode is a long one, but it truly does have it all so make sure you set apart some time to get a good listen!! And if we didn't mention it, of course we had another great weekly tip from Bittinger Motorsports which is always awesome to be able to discuss with a top athlete like Lugnut!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: You or the Bike) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
This week we bring you a very special episode as we partner with Joe Adams from Slick Talk Podcast (Powered by Blackstone Laboratories)!!! Located in Indiana USA, Blackstone Labs analyses all sorts of oil and honestly just fluids in general, but one of those items specifically is motorcycle oil!! Here at JKMoto Podcast we've always been curious how often you actually need to change the oil on a race/track bike as opposed to a "street" motorcycle. Often when searching the marketplace or talking to club racers and junkies alike, you'll see that oil is changed after every day that a motorcycle spends on the race track. Whether or not that is an exaggerated frequency, or people are actually changing their oil that often, we decided to call in an expert and see what they had to say! Not only about oil change frequencies, but also what other awesome benefits you can gain from oil analysis! So enjoy this weeks episode with "Blackstone Joe" Adams and send them a sample to see what the overall health of your oil and motorcycle engine actually is!! https://www.blackstone-labs.com/ MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Last week we missed Kohl as he was off on grand adventures racing motorcycles in the High Plains of Colorado!! Legion Superbike, a brand new traveling race series based in Colorado held their "last" round at High Plains Raceway and Kohl was out there to check it out. So if you're looking to hear all about his experience and being High in the Plains while racing motorcycles this is the episode for you!!! Beyond just Kohls' awesome weekend we did have another week in a row of Moto GP racing, and since we didn't cover MotoGP last week, we had a lot to catch up on!! When we say a lot to catch up on, we're mostly talking about all the drama that has occurred over the last two weeks. A certain rider has, after quite a period of drought, found him self back on the top and won not just 1 but 2 races in a row now! This "new" success from Marquez has struck some chords across the paddock and is of course all the talk. But hidden in the background is just the simple drama of two very talented Ducati riders continuing to hand the championship lead back and forth between them! So make sure you stick around for the entire episode, there is a lot to unwrap this week!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Sorting Fact from Fiction) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
As we approach the fall/winter season of 2024 we thought it would be time to check in with Josh Bittinger down and Texas and see what he's been up to. If you thought he was just hanging out down there not doing much, think again!! From moving his head quarters to track side, working with MSRH to build a better facility, all the way to kicking off a new youth training program for America this man has been busy!! Among these awesome updates we'll also get some updates from the Ridesmart side of the house as they make some larger footprints across the country! Maybe the best part of having Josh in house for this week's episode is being able to discuss the weekly riding tip with the author first hand, and this week we even had a Bonus Tip for Coaches!! This week we decided it was about time we walked you through the ins and outs of your first season of club racing!! Maybe you've been thinking about it for a while, or maybe you just started track days but gained some speed quick and know that's the next step. Whatever the case, we're here to give you a quick rundown on how that process looks, and what steps you will need to take for you and your bike! Not only is there the physical side of building a race bike and acquiring your race license, racing entails quite a large mental game, and the 1st season can operate much smoother with some planning and forethought put in!! From the beginning there is so much to wrap your head around and to think about before you tackle the amazing addiction that is Club Racing motorcycles!!! So we decided to share some of our experiences and knowledge on the subject before the winter so you can have plenty of time to accomplish everything and be ready for winning in 2025!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Crash to Learn?) JKMoto: a weekly motorcycle podcast for the everyday rider, covering current bike and racing news, specializing in Track Days, Club racing, and great entertainment. We Truly do it all! Another week down and another great week of motorcycle racing all over the world!!! MotoGP continues another great season of two very talented riders trading who holds the top place week after week, but another rider is slowly emerging from behind. Does Bastianini have enough time left in the season or is it too late? Does he even have the talent to give it a fighting shot? Another big question that will remain unanswered until next season is just how much talent Marc Marquez has left in the tank, and whether he will be able to show it next year on the top Ducati equipment on the grid!! Much to still be answered and we're here to deliver it all. Back home here in America we had quite an eventful weekend at Mid Ohio returning after a long absence, was Josh Herrin just lucky to have raced there in the past, or does he have the talent to pull off a championship win this 2024 season? Will rain continue to affect Moto America at almost every race? Beyond all the racing of course we'll give you any and all coverage of our own riding adventures which took place this week at the infamous Road Atlanta!!! This week we bring you yet another amazing episode from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast! From weather to movie critiques to race coverage, we fit it all in there. MotoGP's championship this year remains extremely tight in the point leaving many of us wondering who will actually take the title, there are still quite a few races left and the top two are definitely the most likely, but there are others starting to stretch their colors a little. With the nearing of the end of the season we do also have a few 2025 rides to wrap up and decide where everyone on the grid this year will race for next season. On the other side of world motorcycle racing we have another perfect weekend for Toprak on his unstoppable BMW!! Beyond racing this week, we did have a new motorcycle movie hit the world, specifically one on club racing that we think is probably worth checking out, but don't hold your breath for it!! Another special episode this week brought to you from Utah Motorsports Campus!! Also joining us this week is our favorite guest host once again Anthony "Lugnut" Norton! We spent an amazing, (very hot) weekend out at the track completing a track day and a very successful, all over the pit, 2 days of racing!!! Racing and the track day both took place on the East course at UMC this weekend, and new personal best laps were being set all over the place! Along with the PB's of course we had race wins right next to them! But lap records, and race wins were not all that is in our big news this week!! Many race wins at every round in a season tend to add up and those eventually lead to a big piece of news! Along with that a certain member of the JKMoto Team that everyone has been waiting for news on a race license from has some big news to share!!! So to leave it in suspense make sure you tune in to the full episode and enjoy another weekly show from your favorite Motorcycle Podcast!!! In the motorcycle racing world this week we had a Race of Champions hosted by Ducati to close out their World Ducati Week at Misano. An all new Ducati Panigale V4S meant Ducati needed to prove the bikes worth and had all their current riders on a world stage race a 10 lap showdown at the famed Italian circuit! With only a few minor changes to make them racing safe, these bikes are all on the same suspension with the same engines, the same brakes, and the exact same rider setup no matter which champion is sitting in the saddle. For the world this meant we get to see Marquez and Bagnaia compete on the same equipment, for us at JKMoto Podcast it meant we got to see what type of excuses different riders make for not winning a non-point gaining race. From Martin being in the back of the pack, to Bautista being passed by almost the entire field there was much to consider when figuring out if these riders were trying or not. Whatever the case we're here to tell you all about it in another great episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!!! We found ourselves together this week (and the next few to come) and decided it best to head out to where the magic happens and talk a little bit about that magic. Or maybe just the Mayhem Recovery. That's right this week's episode theme is Mayhem Recovery while Racing or RMR as we like to call it, and we're going to cover a little bit about the behind the scenes of club racing the the commitment that it actually is. A club racer is a special type of person with an extreme amount of dedication and tenacity, we've learned through our time that it takes both those things and more to run even one race weekend, let alone an entire season. So sit back and relax as we cover the amazing sport that is motorcycle racing and provide you with that sweet sweet great entertainment!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Head in the Game) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
This week we decided, rather than just covering some more motorcycle racing with your two favorite hosts, we'd bring on a special guest to give us the run down on suspension. John Hutchinson from P1 Racing is an expert bike builder and complete with a mechanical engineering degree and many years of experience we'd definitely call him a suspension guru as well. Beyond suspension and bike building John considers himself a psychologist of sorts as sometimes it takes a little more than just mechanical brains to effectively talk to a motorcycle racer. More importantly John is here to teach us all about suspension on a motorcycle and why it's so important when it comes to riding as fast as possible. Beyond that he'll give us plenty of details on what else needs changed on a modern race bike, and some opinions on the best racing bikes ever built!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Be a Translator) P1 Racing: https://www.p-1race.com/ (281) 255-6004 sales@p-1race.com MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Another week down, and another amazing episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast. Of course we're going to bring you amazing coverage of this weeks MotoGP round at the Sachsenring!! Or at least our thoughts and opinions on the happenings of the weekend, and what a weekend that was!! From two brothers on the podium, to a change in the championship lead and some big wrecks and surprising results we talk about it all!! Pecco got lucky with a Sunday win, but was it truly luck, or is the robot the perfect pressure cooker? Martin was headed for another perfect weekend until late in the race when a small mistake left him 10 points behind the 2 time world champion. From MotoGP in Germany we move into Round 4 of USBA and the wild weekend there! Some carnage left a few bikes with scrapes and bruises, but another healthy weekend of racing for the Utah club was definitely had! All this and more in this weeks episode so sit back relax and enjoy!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Outside Hand Placement) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
This week we bring you coverage of the latest race in Assen with MotoGP!! But not only race coverage, between races the riders, crews, and manufacturers have all been working hard to ensure that every MotoGP fan is thoroughly confused on what to expect in 2025. This years silly season has definitely been one for the books, and some large changes have been made all throughout the paddock!! Beyond that the Cathedral of Speed was not the most exciting race, but definitely interesting with the battle of tire pressure which finally ended up as a loss for Marc Marquez. Beyond that Bagnaia continues to squeeze the gap between himself and Martin applying more and more pressure to see if he'll pop. From the other side of the water and quite literally opposite side of the world we also bring you some coverage of Moto America at The Ridge Motorsports Park. June and the Pacific Northwest issued quite a strange batch of weather leaving many of the racers on "the wrong tire" for the race, when rain falls does the ground get wet? To finish it all up, except we actually discussed it at the beginning, we will also talk a little smack on Formula 1 because we are bike people after all!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Vision is the Key) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
From Arizona this week we bring you a special guest Wyatt Ferguson from FergFactoryRacing!! As an original road rider/canyon chaser Wyatt has been riding bikes for quite a while, but a couple incidents in the HOV lane led to him eventually ditching the road and chasing a racing dream! From ZX10 to R1 and finally landing on an R6 Wyatt has had quite a successful racing career and has now qualified for and raced in several Moto America Races. Looking to complete almost an entire season with Moto America this year traveling with the Privateer Industries team and racing in the Super Sport racing class we'd say he has been quite successful so far and hoping for more success to come!! So strap up those seatbelts and helmet straps sit back and relax as we unwrap Wyatts full story and learn a little more behind the scenes of how he got where he is now, and where he plans to be in the future!!! From Italy to North Carolina, we bring you the tales of another weekend with many red flags. Not to say it wasn't a successful weekend on all accounts, the first ever WCR race round took place on the world stage in Italy with none other than Mallory Dobbs representing the USA and securing a successful weekend. The King of Brakes Toprak himself demonstrated a perfect weekend proving that he is in fact meshing quite well with the M1000RR, while maintaining his title by doing not one but 2 stoppies down the front straight to win the race!! In NC this weekend we completed another successful trackday at a small racetrack known as the North Carolina Circuit for Automotive Research or NCCAR, although this weekend we'll refer to it as NCBIKE!! Red flags haunted us but that didn't stop us from having a great fast weekend. And to top it all of Moto America raced at Brainerd this weekend with another successful weekend and more tales to follow from the Privateer Industries team!!! If you'd like to show you're support for Jacob #917 and his family a gofundme link is below!! https://gofund.me/92e77ffe https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Get a Grip) MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
In certain regions of the US the weather likes to be wet, but you can't let that stop you from riding/racing motorcycles, the show must go on!! However if you find yourself feeling off or you're bike just isn't operating as normal maybe take a pause and get the issue figured out. That being said riding in the rain gives you amazing bike control and can make you that much better/faster on the dry asphalt. Besides the coverage on a recent track day for Kohl up in the PNW we bring you some intense coverage of not just the Italian GP but also the updates and behind the scenes stories from this year's MotoGP silly season. It seems mostly figured out at this point, but why were the moves that were made decided on, and what may have prompted them from further up. Besides MotoGP we found ourselves watching more wet motorcycles with Moto America at Road America this weekend, and we'll give you some highlights from there as well. So buckle up that helmet and throw on the windshield wipers for another wild and wet episode from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!!! This week we decided to bring in the owner/operators of one of our personal favorite trackday orgs in the USA!! Tracktime is a relatively new motorcycle track day organization that has operated solely at The Ridge Motorsports Park for several years now, but are actually expanding their operation to northern California adding Thunderhill Raceway to their calenday for 2024!! With both Alan and Jen having racing experience they know importance of teaching racetrack fundamentals from the very beginning and implement that into each of their track days, but what else makes Tracktime so different from the rest of the orgs? For the answer to that question and many others you'll have to stick around for the full episode, and of course you'll be able to enjoy some solid motorcycle chats as always from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast! Episode 60 kicks off with a surprise co-host Anthony (Lugnut) Norton!! USBA Round 2 is now complete with quite amazing results from the entire privateer industries team!! To tell you all about it we decided to get Lugnut on and host with us! Insane ever changing weather struck Utah once again this weekend leaving several races in the rain, and a few with a drying track. Drying tracks and rain races made for some interesting decisions down in the paddock and we're here to give you the full rundown on those!! Beyond wet and dry racing, multiple personal best laps were also set and Lugnut officially entered into a very illusive club at UMC West known as the 1:29 club!! Don't forget we also had an amazing weekend in Moto GP!! We'll finish the episode off with our thoughts and a quick recap of the race and of course our fantasy points leader and highest score!! On this week's episode of your favorite motorcycle podcast, we're posted up at Barber Motorsports Park following an amazing round 2 of Moto America!! But lucky for you, this week we won't be covering the race because we had an amazing opportunity to chat with 2 racers from the Privateer Industries Racing Team! Wyatt Ferguson and Anthony (Lugnut) Norton are here to tell us all about what it's like to race in Moto America as a privateer and how they put their team together and took a trek across the country to prove they have what it takes to race with the best!! Behind the scenes of a team without factory support there is a lot going on that not many people get to see, so we figured we'd dive in and see what it's all about. Good weather Saturday, made for some amazing, but sadly the fun didn't last as the dreaded Utah spring weather effect took over slammed the track with freezing conditions. The question is whether or not the racers there this past weekend were happy about the decision to cancel the rest of the day, or if they would've preferred to tough out the nasty Utah weather and race in the most extreme conditions. Either way we're here to tell you all about the weekend including but not limited to Utah's crazy weather. Beyond USBA we have had some official announcements from MotoGP and what the future bikes will look like, or at least what limits they'll be held to come the big rule changes in 2027. Buckle up this week as we unwrap possible the most exciting Moto GP weekend of this decade and maybe even of the century so far. From perfect track conditions for a Friday, moving into rain Saturday morning, into dry again for the Sprint? That question is still unanswered as of yet, but then followed up with an absolutely perfect Sunday racing weather day, Jerez did not disappoint from any angle!! What looked like a championship that was all but ran away with, quickly went from better to much worse and leaves us now tighter than we've been since the first round with just over 30 points covering the top 7 riders. Who will prevail in 2024? How many more wrecks will we see? Will new glory be made, or will old champions continue their reign? So many questions are available now and we can't wait for the answers!! But while we wait with you please enjoy this weeks coverage of an amazing weekend in Motorcycle racing and decided for yourself whether it was a wet spot on the track or just dumb luck that left 9 different riders in the same patch of dust.https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Moto America 2024 season has officially kicked off, and what an exciting season it is going to be!! Official round one found us in Georgia at the world famous Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta. With a privateer qualifying 1st, and the rest of the front row filled in with a brand new superbike rider, and our favorite Josh Herrin, our two past Moto America Champions found themselves starting from behind on the 2nd row. Will they be able to catch the rookie and the privateer? Will Josh Herrin prove that he does still belong on the Ducati Panigale V4 with the other superbikes? Will BMW dominate Moto America in 2024 and leave all other manufacturer riders questioning their decisions? Moto America is often exciting but this round was certainly one of the best road races of all time! Beyond that the 2024 season is shaping up to deliver many nail biting hectic races as we travel across America and determine a champion. MotoGP hit the Roller Coaster and boy did they hit it hard, with some large incidents from top riders we have a lot to discuss on that front. Not to mention the issue-having manufacturer continuing with their weekly issues possibly robbing their top rider of his first win. Can Ducati pull through their season with so many top riders on their bikes? Can Aprilia mantain a working bike and prove that they belong in MotoGP? Will the Japanese manufacturers ever catch up and give their talented riders a bike that can compete? These are all the questions we're asking and giving our answers and opinions on. In other news, it was a historic weekend for BMW as Toprak brought home the victory, not once but twice in WSBK (world superbike)!! There are many big names with high hope this year, and the first sprint and race of the year were a testament to that!! The reigning world champion managed to end the weekend at the top of the points list, but not without a fight first. With many other big names coming out and proving that they'll be here to fight this year, and a few names possibly not showing all their cards, it will be a wild season for sure!! Some of the bigger points to talk on this weekend were the debut of Marc on his Ducati and of course the debut of the rookie Pedro Acosta.
