Toprak Razgatlioglu was the name on everyone's lips in the build-up to Misano. The sixth round of the season saw WorldSBK reach the halfway point of the campaign and after a Toprak Triple there are now just nine points between him and Nicolo Bulega. Both could be lining up on a MotoGP grid together in the future and Steve and Gordo dive into that and all the other news from the WorldSBK paddock
Apologies for the lateness of this Pod Cast! In this episode Jim and Rich cover everything from Aragon! The kick it off with some great listener feedback about semi-automated ride height devices. Then they go over the news of Martins contract issues and the semi bombshell of Toprak signing a one year deal to race a Pramac Yamaha in 2026. Finally they guys cover the racing. The Moto3 Class was a classic with the twist of making sure you picked the right tire. This odd set of conditions resulted in a first time winner Munoz who just barely defeated the new rookie sensation Quiles! The Moto2 race was the best of the weekend and also included a first time winner. Moreira rode through the pack and chased down race leader Oncu in the closing laps. Oncu never quit and kept pushing. On the last lap at the last turn Oncu rode around the outside of Moreira to win the closest Moto2 race ever by 0.003 seconds!! MotoGp was a bit boring as Marc Marquez lead every secession ook pole position and won then sprint and on Sunday lead every lap in dominate fashion to win the main event. Domination like this has not been seen in this class since Marc himself did the same thing a decade ago at the German GP in 2015. This is the domination that we all feared when Marc was chosen to ride the factory Ducati. On the bright side Pecco appears to have found the feeling again on his Ducati and may yet be able to challenge Marc. Stay tuned! A new rider has appeared in MotoGP! Well, he's only new if you haven't watched the WorldSBK in years and he's not really appearing yet – he's only coming over next year. Nonetheless, long-running rumours about Toprak Razgatlioglu making the step to MotoGP have finally been confirmed this week as the Turkish Tornado signs a contract with Pramac Yamaha. That means there's lots to be excited for. Not only because his riding style is anything but boring, but also because this move coincides with some other big changes at Pramac. Will he replace Jack Miller, or Miguel Olivera? Are we looking at a one-year deal, or something more long-term? And that's not even mentioning the Yamaha V4, the new bike tasked with turning the Japanese manufacturer's luck around. So what's going to happen? We have no clue, but luckily Mat and Peter have plenty of ideas! One thing's for sure: it's going to be interesting, either way...Want more? Visit our website or support us on Patreon. Toprak Razgatlioglu will join the Pramac Yamaha team next season, by which time he'll have turned 29-years-old. The two-time World Superbike Champion will end his time with BMW as a result, a partnership which yielded the Bavarian brand's first WorldSBK title in 2024 and Razgtlioglu's second, having taken his first with Yamaha in 2021.Razgatlioglu's deal will only keep him at Yamaha for the 2026 season, which means both parties will be open to either continuing or ending the collaboration after the first year, but, perhaps more importantly, ahead of MotoGP's biggest regulation change in a decade in 2027. The big question also lingers... Who will be his teammate? Jack Miller or Miguel Oliveira.Miller is the clear option, since his contract expires at the end of this year, but he's also been the more performative rider of the two this year, despite his difficult Aragon race that resulted in only 14th.Crash has been the global leader in terms of MotoGP news and features over the last 20 years so to expand our coverage of the sport we all love, we are now doing a weekly podcast! An in-house production brought to you by the Crash MotoGP team: Presented by Jordan Moreland (MotoGP Social Media Manager) - Peter McLaren (MotoGP Journalist) - Lewis Duncan (MotoGP Journalist)Jordan - https://twitter.com/jordanmoreland_Pete - https://twitter.com/McLarenMotoGPLewis - https://x.com/lewis__duncanFollow our channels:Twitter (X) - Crash MotoGPInstagram - Crash MotoGPFacebook - Crash Net MotoGP#MotoGP Hosted on Acast.

The opening round of the 2025 WorldSBK season is in the books and Nicolo Bulega dominated the opening weekend. It was a textbook weekend for the Aruba.it Ducati rider but as Steve and Gordo explain it also meant the stories of the weekend were elsewhere. Most of the stories focused on Toprak Razgatlioglu and his BMW. On Sunday evening the reigning champion dropped a bombshell that he would consider quiting the series if changes weren't made. Was it postering? As Gordo explains the weekend wasn't quite as bad as a 20 point haul would indicate. Yamaha confirmed that Augusto Fernandez would replace Jonathan Rea for the next round but how was their race weekend? Bimota are back in WorldSBK and left Australia pleased with their opening gambit. In WorldSSP we assess the race winning debut of Yamaha's new R9 machine and also discuss Tom Booth-Amos' first career win in the Supersport class. Is Toprak's WorldSBK title the most unexpected in the history of the series? Steve and Gordo look back at the final round of the 2024 campaign and Toprak Razgalioglu's confirmation as the Superbike World Champion for the second time. The Turkish rider is now unquestionably the best rider on the grid but what makes him special? We grabbed Phil Marron and Kenan Sofuglu to talk about when they believed they could win the title and the mentality of Toprak. Kenan's insight is very interesting as he talks about positivity rather than aggression being the key to winning in motorcycle racing. Steve also reminds Gordo of what we expected from Toprak back in January when they went to the the Spanish venue for pre-season testing. With Nicolo Bulega winning two races and Alvaro Bautista suffering another crash the future of Ducati is also a talking point. Who's the team leader for the red bikes in 2025? Alex Lowes' successful campaign is discussed as is the toughest season of Jonathan Rea's career. The show wraps up with title talk in WorldSSP, WorldSSP300 and the WorldWCR series

World Superbike results from Estoril. Only 1 WBSK race left. Aliens in Florida?
While we'll always still cover MotoGP, this week Japan had some "normal" racing that didn't bring too much excitement. Marc Marquez did not set a lap record so we'll definitely touch on that, but besides that and both he and Martin moving toward the front from way back there wasn't a ton going on. In other news and in a different part of the world World SuperBike remains "superior" racing with excitement for the full length, all the way up to a .003 second win!! To wrap things up this week, Yamaha announced a new motorcycle the R9, and we've got some things to say about it. Despite Yamaha trying to keep some things secret about their new 2025 model, it's pretty easy to speculate what those secret numbers will be, and the biggest question is where this bike will live in the club racing world!! Questions that remain to be answered but are great to ponder on! So sit back and relax as we unwrap another great episode of your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ MotoGP Fantasy League Code: CVYZ2MY7 (log onto MotoGP Fantasy and enter code or search JKMoto Podcast) https://fantasy.motogp.com/
Welcome to Episode 11 of the On The Gas Podcast! We hope you enjoy it! In this episode, we discussed the incredible BSB finale that saw Ryde and Bridewell put everything on the line to win the title. Jim and Rich are back to keep track of the MotoGP championship as the current triple header hits its mid-point at the Mandalika International Circuit in Indonesia. The guys run through listener feedback and news before jumping in to talk through the 4 races. It was a hot and sticky round with crashes, blow ups and a continuation of the Bagnaia-Martin to and fro at the head of the championship. With Indonesia done, the MGP circus heads this weekend to Motegi in Japan. The guys also touch on the WSBK races from Aragon as Toprak returned and eked out a small championship lead again. Noteworthy was the return to the winners enclosure for Andre Iannone who became the 14th rider to secure wins in both MotoGP and WSBK.
