2024 Track season for JKMoto is essentially over and as we prepare for next season and what the future will bring, we also often look back and reflect on what we've done!! To make that a little easier we decided to bring on a guest that joined us for many of the motorcycle adventures of 2025!! If there were such thing as a track son, Kelly would fit that bill for the JKMoto Team, but he also has an interesting back story that led him to eventually riding motorcycles and doing track days. From a Toyota Corolla, to 2 different sport bikes and 6 different race tracks under his belt, Kelly has quite the track record already and has a very interesting learning curve due to being a brand new rider that hit the track so early on! Stay tuned for the rest of an amazing story and quick recap of some of the adventures of the year!!! https://www.bittingermotorsports.com/ (Weekly Tip: Get in the Zone)
We FINALLY get with James from Jzilla Track Days. Topics of discussion: 1) Breaking down those 'walls of intimidation' that come with signing-up for your first track day. Jzilla 'gets it'. And they've created a welcoming & affordable atmosphere where drivers can progress and have fun (at any level). 2) The car industry & car culture in general. Ya know? What's it gonna take for the modern auto industry to start prioritizing 'sensations & soul & engagement' in new cars again. Or - has the modern car industry applianced & priced itself to the point of no return? •Get the free S3 Magazine app• // s3mag.com

This week, on your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast, we decided it was about time we talked to unique guest and certified fast guy Kreece Elliott!! Luckily he isn't anywhere near done yet and still has plans for a future in motorcycle racing as he makes his way up in bike sizes and up the ranks in the United States. Colorado has a limited riding season with all the snow and cold in the winter, so we'll get to hear plenty more stories than just those of his local racing. From traveling down to California in the winter, to traveling out to the east coast for multiple Moto America rounds, this episode is truly coast to coast!!! JKMoto: a weekly motorcycle podcast for the everyday rider, covering current bike and racing news, specializing in Track Days, Club racing, and great entertainment. We Truly do it all! Another week down and another great week of motorcycle racing all over the world!!! MotoGP continues another great season of two very talented riders trading who holds the top place week after week, but another rider is slowly emerging from behind. Does Bastianini have enough time left in the season or is it too late? Does he even have the talent to give it a fighting shot? Another big question that will remain unanswered until next season is just how much talent Marc Marquez has left in the tank, and whether he will be able to show it next year on the top Ducati equipment on the grid!! Much to still be answered and we're here to deliver it all. Back home here in America we had quite an eventful weekend at Mid Ohio returning after a long absence, was Josh Herrin just lucky to have raced there in the past, or does he have the talent to pull off a championship win this 2024 season? Will rain continue to affect Moto America at almost every race? Beyond all the racing of course we'll give you any and all coverage of our own riding adventures which took place this week at the infamous Road Atlanta!!! In certain regions of the US the weather likes to be wet, but you can't let that stop you from riding/racing motorcycles, the show must go on!! However if you find yourself feeling off or you're bike just isn't operating as normal maybe take a pause and get the issue figured out. That being said riding in the rain gives you amazing bike control and can make you that much better/faster on the dry asphalt. Besides the coverage on a recent track day for Kohl up in the PNW we bring you some intense coverage of not just the Italian GP but also the updates and behind the scenes stories from this year's MotoGP silly season. It seems mostly figured out at this point, but why were the moves that were made decided on, and what may have prompted them from further up. Besides MotoGP we found ourselves watching more wet motorcycles with Moto America at Road America this weekend, and we'll give you some highlights from there as well. So buckle up that helmet and throw on the windshield wipers for another wild and wet episode from your favorite weekly motorcycle podcast!!! Also, the time I and my son spent at the Super Lap Battle Time Attack event (Youtube video @CarQuicks on that)... sit back and enjoy!

DwD 0365: Gridding at an HPDE This Dominating with Dawson is aimed at what came be source of pre-event angst and again deals with the unknown. This time we go through what is meant by gridding ahead of an HPDE stint. In addition, we discuss some of the decisions and thoughts that we have used to improve the HPDE experience. This includes why and where to grid up for the stint as a function of the car you are driving and the experience that you may have with this organization, as well as several other items. We talk about Miatas with two Miata drivers, Jim Tramontano (No Money Motorsports) & Dave Peters (HPDEjunkie).Jim created No Money Motorsports - A site with the primary goal to get folks on track, as much as possible, by spending as little money as possible. He started autocrossing in 2007, started track days by volunteering with NASA in 2012 and moved up the HPDE ranks in his Daily Driver Miata. He's in his 5th year racing Spec Miata with NASA Northeast. Dave (Episode 16) created a website, HPDEjunkie, the most inclusive and most current listing of HPDE / Track Days and Open Track events for North America. We discuss their cars, how they built them, and get their advice on set ups and more.Setting tire pressures, alignments, and suspension settings all get discussed. Dave's tire pressure tip - use white marker to highlight the tiny triangles on the shoulder of your tires to see if you are going past that point. If you are, increase the tire pressure. If you aren't close to the triangles, reduce the tire pressure.Where to go for Miata advice and parts? Talk with other Miata drivers at a track day and see who's running well. Talk with them and see where they source their parts. If you race your Miata be sure to check out the Mazda Motorsports website for . What's this new thing called Inside the SCCA… well it's the latest offering from the RacingWire Podcast Network… It's a weekly podcast about all things SCCA. We're going to cover everything from Driver Profiles, Legends of the Club, Tech Tips, Exploring each class, and product reviews. We'll have episodes on all the club's programs from Road Racing to Solo, Track Days, Road Rally, Rally Cross, Track Night in America and Time Trials. Over time we'll talk about all the Volunteer Specialties and we'll do that often… volunteers are the backbone of everything the SCCA does. We'll also help people who are trying to figure out how to get started. We'll also talk about and promote events. If your region has an event you would like us to talk about -- send us some info at least a month in advance and I'll make mention of it on the show. Send me an email to raceannouncerbrian at gmail.com A little about your host. Brian Bielanski has been a member off and on but mostly on since 1986. He started as has dad's “crew chief” when all he knew how to do was change tires, check air pressures and fill the gas tank. From there he's built cars from the ground up, raced some of those cars, worked as a flagger, starter, tech inspector, and he did a stint as the Flag Chief for the New York region. Now, he spends most of his time as a race announcer and content creator. Being a TV news producer by trade -- has taken him all over the country -- that's given him the chance to be a member of a bunch of regions… Chicago, Milwaukee, Land 0' Lakes, Atlanta, New Jersey, New York, D-C and now Cal Club. He's also raced or flagged at tracks in all those areas. But most importantly -- some of his best friends… people he consider family… have come from this club. Inside the SCCA is NOT sponsored by the club. We feel it's important to have an independent voice. It will allow us to have the tough conversations… but we want to be clear… this is not going to be a podcast where we are going to bash the club. We love this organization. It has its problems and we are the first to point them out. But all of those discussions on this podcast will be with one thing in mind… making the club better and attractive to both the old guard and people just starting out. New episodes will drop every Friday… that will give everyone something to listen to on their way to the track for race weekends. That's Inside the SCCA --- today -- we say today because any podcast with a long history will evolve over time -- and we plan to be doing this for many years to come. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/racingwire/support
