Democracy is based on trust, but what happens when trust is eroded?  What happens when the truth is seen as "optional"? Talking about things like the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas is always uncomfortable.  So, in this episode I went ahead and did it without a net.  No prep, all honesty.  Very lightly edited to preserve the soul.  

(Recorded May 6, 2022)  The framing around rights to abortion have been corrupted for decades, and now an activist Supreme Court is on the verge of striking down the right to bodily autonomy and privacy rights of Americans for some truly unbelievable reasons.  These are dark times, my friends.  And though I am an imperfect ally, I will always stand for equal rights and equal justice for all.  

This episode is about grief, loss, and coping through love and support.  Dedicated to my Aunt Patti who is survived by her wonderful husband, Larry Don.  And to all who have lost a loved one.  Remember, we're all in this together.

Trying to be more lighthearted today, I'm tackling the defeatist attitudes which are breaking the system as we know it and preventing the system we want to have.  Enjoy with a nice cold beverage and maybe a little sunlight.
