It's March 12, 1998! The future of home video delivered right to your door, and this is no scam! The RockMobile is officially dead, but KPODD is getting represented on the streets of LA by our in-studio guest Nathram! The guest appearance turns into a job interview, which could spell trouble for Whiskey Pete and Precious Keepsake. Plus: Listener Calls, and News! No regrets.
On this episode of the Bourbon Hunters Dude, Brett, and Jeff sit down live at Cafe Round II in Grandview and host Ohio's Brown Forman Ambassador Whiskey Pete Wagner to discuss Brown Forman, Old Forester, and Woodford Reserve, all while drinking some Bourbon and mixing up some Old Forester 1915. It's 12/04/1997 MCI Worldcom is formed, Machine Bolt slams a shot of Precious Keepsake's Truth Syrum, Jamiroquai tries some storytelling on Leno, Whiskey Pete is making $10,000 per corporate speaking gig, and the guys are doing their most humiliating remote to date down at the Studio City Ralph's. Segments include: News, This Day in Music History, and more! Epic!
Listen to KPODD and journey back to the simpler times of 1997 with Machine Bolt Kennedy and El Farto in the morning. Southern California's 5th most popular morning team in FM radio was living a comedy of errors, and fortunately we've got a time capsule to keep the party going this many years later. If you recall their Morning Zoo Butt Nugget Dream Team®, you'll remember Wanda, Mini Wanda, Monster Mike, and Whiskey Pete. If not, this podcast will be like bumping your head on something really hard that jars loose the memories. First episode drops on June 17, 2021!

We're thrilled to welcome our good pals Keith MacKenzie & DJ Fixx back for this their third Armory Podcast appearance! Press play. Get down. Keith MacKenzie has emerged as one of the driving forces behind the global breakbeat scene, regularly gigging across the US and Europe. Now based in Chicago, Keith spent his formative years in the now legendary Florida rave scene racking up early credits on influential labels like DJ Icey's Zone Records and After Dark before launching his own label. Illeven:Eleven Recordings, now in its 11th year of operations, built a reputation for releasing quality collaborations from a diverse roster of artists (Audiostalkers, Deekline & Ed Solo, Fixx, Infiniti, Bass Kleph, Gigi Barocco, Rico Tubbs, Sporty-O, Sue Cho and Whiskey Pete have all released on the label) making it a Beatport mainstay in the process. Under the informal moniker of KMFX alongside Fixx he's gone on to release internationally on labels like Deekline's Rat Records, as well as Punks, the venerable UK imprint formed by breakbeat stalwarts Stanton Warriors. In 2012 Keith teamed up with long time creative collaborators Fixx and D:RC to form Smookie Illson, a new bass music alias for studio experiments that fall outside the rather strict umbrella of breakbeat music. After trying their hand at everything from electro house to moombahton (signing their first demos to Potty Mouth Music in the process) they found their footing in the EDM "trap" scene, churning out bootlegs and originals at a brisk pace and gaining steady support from fans and peers alike. Their 2013 bootleg remix of Yo Majesty's 'Club Action' turned into one of the longest-running festival season selections, gaining support year after year from scene favorites like Skrillex & Diplo, Baauer, RL Grime, Brillz, and Loudpvck. 2015 saw Smookie Illson releasing their 'Compound Riddims EP' a highly-rated collab with the UK's Ragga Twins on Play Me Records, as well as releases on Seattle's Simplify Records and Australia's Safari Music. Over the past 15 years, breakbeat pioneer DJ Fixx has been stocking the shelves of record stores everywhere. Said by many as one of the most innovative and consistent producers in the industry, he continues to deliver some of the most sought after breakbeat tracks available. Making his debut in 1998, Fixx produced over 75 anthems on the classic Kaleidoscope Music label. Many of these timeless tracks are still played frequently today. This was then followed by Fixx's own personal imprint, Bottom-End Records (2004-2008). Managed by Afterdark, the BER trademark produced some of the biggest anthems in the industry, easily claiming the spot of one of the top five best-selling domestic labels in the country. Alongside of Keith MacKenzie, Fixx is currently a leading producer for Keith's illeven:eleven label. Frequent solo installments can be found on ILL, as well as collaborations with Keith under the production duo 'KMFX'. With over 150 12-inch releases, over 300 exclusive digital releases, and twelve massively-distributed CDs under his belt, Fixx has assembled one impressive Discography. Ginny and Charlie quickly catch you up on the latest adventures then they bring you right into the Woodford Reserve Manhattan Experience which took place Monday night at the Belterra Park Gaming & Entertainment Center just outside Cincinnati. We walk you through some fun interviews with cocktail creators, share 10 minutes of absolutely unscripted off the cuff audio you simply HAVE TO HEAR, then wrap it all up with a chat that rolls in the event's host, Whiskey Pete. This is a fun one to say the least!

After a two-week hiatus, The Armory Podcast is back with this fantastic guest mix from Charleston's DJ Skitch. Press play. Get Down. Entering the industry in 2004, Skitch has jumped on the opportunity to play with well-known international talents such as The Crystal Method, Hyper, DJ Magic Mike, DJ Icey, Baby Anne, Plump DJ's, Deekline & Wizard, Krafty Kuts, Napt, Fort Knox Five, Micro, Charles Feelgood, Planet of the Drums, Star Eyes, Curtis B, KMFX, Nero, Datsik & Excision to name a few, as well as some exclusive performances with MC's such as Sporty-O, Whiskey Pete & MC Collaborator. Always holding his own unique style on the decks, his incredible selection of in-your-face breaks always keeps the floor moving and heads bobbing. Over the years, Skitch has become one of Charleston's favorite beat selectors and continues to play a dominant role in the Southeast EDM community alongside his well known labels, Infectious Entertainment & 357 Style and most famous, Future Sound Of Breaks. Currently holding down multiple residencies in Charleston, he is certainly one of the hardest working DJs in the industry. Don't miss a chance to see this Breakbeat guru mashup the club night. Making their triumphant return to The Armory Podcast, we're thrilled to welcome back our good pals Keith MacKenzie & DJ Fixx. Press play. The Tampa takeover of The Armory Podcast continues this week with breakbeat sensation, DJ Hero, on the 1s and 2s. Press play. Get down. After taking the name DJ Hero in 1996, Hero began his career as a DJ, playing everything from house, to breaks, to trance, and just about everything in between. After a few years of figuring out what was his sound, DJ Hero focused on breaks. After playing up and down the east coast, holding residencies in Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Tennessee, and playing countless gigs around the greater south east, Hero decided it was time to change his focus to producing his own music. In 2000, DJ Hero started Solitude Studios, locked himself behind closed doors, studied, read, and practiced, producing whatever came to his mind. After several years of teaching himself the ins and outs of engineering, Hero hooked up with Huda Hudia, founder of Kaleidoscope Music, where he engineered and produced many releases to come from Kaleidoscope Music. In 2008, DJ Hero moved from Atlanta, Georgia to Denver, Colorado where he hooked up with DJ Vanish, and began Velcro City Records, and expanded the services of Solitude Studios to artist development, audio engineering, sound design, and mixing and mastering. Together, Hero and Vanish, work hard to provide quality dance music to the scene they love so much. In 2010, DJ Hero was given tier one artist status on www.beatport.com, the largest distributor of digital dance music in the world, placing him in the top 20% of artist globally. 2011 proved to be a good year as DJ Hero left Velcro City Records to team up with Illeven Eleven. Over the years, DJ Hero has worked with Huda Hudia, DJ Volume, Keith Mackenzie, Calvertron, Lazy Rich, Simply Jeff, Dave London, DJ Fixx, Messinian, Whiskey Pete, Baby Anne, DJ Icey, and many more. Today, Hero calls Ground Level Records his home, having released two full length albums, and released countless chart topping tracks. Hero focuses on producing party breaks, music that he considers fun for any dance floor. He hopes to be an influence and teacher for all those looking to find love in the music he's come to be so close to. This week in The Armory we are absolutely thrilled to be featuring two of America's finest purveyors of the broken beat, Chicago's Keith MacKenzie and Orlando's DJ Fixx. It's about to get filthy up in here! Press play. Get down. Illeven:Eleven Recordings' label boss Keith MacKenzie's contributions to the breakbeat scene cannot be overstated. After honing his skills as a DJ in the 90's Florida scene alongside luminaries like DJ Icey, DJ Fixx and Infiniti, Keith's move into the label game sought to combine his various influences under one roof. Although the primary focus has been bass-driven breaks music, the label built a reputation for releasing quality collaborations from artists working across electronic genres, quickly making it a Beatport favorite. Besides his own productions with DJ Fixx (as KMFX), the ever-growing list of releases have included music from producers like Calvertron, Deekline & Ed Solo, Hatiras, Bass Kleph and Gigi Barocco, as well as frequent vocal contributions by the likes of Sporty-O, Sue Cho and Whiskey Pete. In addition to gigging extensively in North America, the last few years have seen Keith's profile boosted to international breakbeat fame. Over the last year alone, Keith has smashed dancefloors in Spain, Russia, Rome, and London, constantly pushing his potent formula of party-rocking breaks to new heights. Frequent solo installments can be found on ILL, as well as collaborations with Keith under the production duo 'KMFX'. With over 150 12-inch releases, over 200 exclusive digital releases, and eight massively-distributed CDs under his belt, Fixx has assembled one impressive Discography.
