For many years, I was caught up in the thought that failing at my first big dream meant that was it for me. I started doing survival jobs that did not have anything to with my formal education. Suspending my PhD after about 2 years took me back to ground zero because all I had done for the past 28 years of my life was study. Failure is a state of mind that if not handled with care can destroy ones' personality. It took me to acceptance, goal setting, revamping my self-confidence, sacrifice, resilience and vulnerability to come to the realization that I can start all over again and be my best version. Episodes in this podcast will include real life experiences and lessons learnt, chats with people with a similar story so that listeners will have a wide variety of content to draw from. This is a learning process for us all and so deliberations based on questions and concerns will be discussed as well. This is a medium for us to learn how we can be audible and be our own best versions.

Anna Mbengam was born and raised in Cameroon, though she spent most of her life living in Boston, Massachusetts. After graduating from high school, she signed up for the Army Reserve and simultaneously enrolled in her first year of college. She was recruited to run track and field at American International College in Springfield, Massachusetts. It was there that she studied Political Science and Criminal Justice. Upon her completion of Basic Training with the Army Reserve, Anna was introduced to the game of rugby. It soon became her newfound love. She was so infatuated with the sport that she focused her attention on playing rugby and maintaining a balanced student-athlete life. It was during this time of her life that she fully came to understand the importance of focus, commitment, and courage. Anna realized the complexities and benefits of teamwork and collaboration when dealing with complicated circumstances on the field. The rugby scrum is a microcosm for the development of a cohesive team. All players in the scrum bring their own individual abilities to work together to achieve a common objective against strong competition. Anna recognized that this same method of cohesiveness could be used in any team activity, whether in sports, business, or the workplace. After graduating from college, Anna was unsure of what kind of career she wanted to pursue. She was introduced to the idea of becoming a Scrum Master, and though she chuckled when she first heard the role's title, she was curious to learn more. She did her own research and joined the Agile Community of Practice, where she networked and got her first Scrum Master position. She was delighted and anxious to begin this journey due to her timid nature. She has always wanted to share the information she wished she had received while breaking into the field with others. Do and risk all because we want to satisfy our inner desires. The fact that time and age does not stop us from aiming. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking to Azi. Azi is a Personal Trainer and Fitness Coach. With a degree in Engineering, one which the society classifies as a good degree, he still felt that emptiness inside of him. He ignored the noise in our community and went for what brings out the best in him, being a Fitness Coach & Trainer. His passion for what he does is eminent in his voice as he talks about it in this episode. Have any questions? Reach out to Azi on IG @BodySkulptorfitness or let me know and I will get your questions to him. Enjoy your listen! Thanks for your support. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with Alice Kuaban. Alice is a Scientist and when not in her corporate world shoes, she's an interior designer. In her words, “I do enjoy creating a beautiful space that helps my family operate efficiently each day while increasing the property value of my home. I love a good bargain and aim to create spaces that are budget-friendly, functional, and stylish.” Alice shares her journey with us and encourages us to strive to do what makes us happy as she talks about her venture on different career paths before she found her happy place as a Biochemist. Thinking of redecorating on a budget, this is who you should be consulting with. Find her on Instagram @odd_essence. In this episode, I had a great time uncovering the motivation behind this great group; Cloud Heroes Africa. This is a group of men and women who have decided to crush the limitations that as humans we put on ourselves because of where we live, how we look, how we speak, and many more. Fai Woo Kitaav is one of the architects behind this great initiative and he shares with us how it started, how it is going, and its vision. The selflessness of the coordinators, volunteers, guest speakers, and well-wishers is one that cannot go unnoticed. We appreciate you all for the great work! Check out Cloud Heroes Africa on LinkedIn to learn more and see the progress of these amazing students. Thanks for your support. In this episode, I have a chat with Fonkeng Dolly, a Cameroonian based in Dubai. Dolly is a skincare enthusiast. She has built her expertise over the years by spending time understanding the different skin types and how we can cater to them. She is a skin consultant and had helped hundreds of people ranging from babies to adults fight skin issues. In Dolly's words, “Skin Care is Self Care”. She hosts virtual consultations and will help you know your skin better. By knowing your skin better, you will also know what products are ideal for your skin and in what season. As usual, it is always a pleasure having people who talk about what they do with so much passion. You can reach Dolly on Facebook and Instagram at @fonkengdolly Thanks for your support.
