Valuations for rare whiskies have started to slow down after being one of the best performing alternative investments over the last ten years. The latest Knight Frank Luxury Investment Index shows a four percent decline year-over-year in the value of the rare whiskies that make up the index. Is this the start of a trend? We'll ask rare whisky consultant Andy Simpson, who helps compile the index for Rare Whisky 101. In the news, Scotch Whisky exports fell during the first six months of 2023 compared to last year, with a sharp 20 percent decrease in volume. Irish whiskey exports rose during 2022, according to a new report released this week, and Hedley Wright, the longtime chairman of Springbank owner J&A Mitchell Co. Ltd. passed away this month at the age of 92.

This was an episode that has been in the making for quite some time now. Richard "Trez" Trezie and Andy Simpson, the heads of PRS UK are 2 super cool Britts that have put in the work to bring the sport of which we love, to the UK. They were an absolute delight to have on the show. They have listened to the Just F'n Send It Podcast since the beginning, basically. I had a blast having them on. They go in to what the gun culture is like across the pond, what their matches are like, and what the UK thinks of the US in regards to gun rights and general politics. Once they come State side to shoot the PRS finale, they will be back on the show to chat about their own finale in GB and their trips for the US finale. Make sure you follow them on your social medias to see whats going on in the precision rifle world over there. As always, thanks for the support and thanks for the downloads.

www.theimpactinterview.com In this episode, I am speaking with Giles Tongue, an entrepreneurial leader in consumer-focused products and design, who joined ChatableApps as CEO last year. Chatable has developed a revolutionary hearing assistance app that has been described as ‘life-changing' by many of its users. Using neuroscience-led AI to create an auditory cortex on a smartphone, founder Dr Andy Simpson has designed a technology that could transform the lives of the 466 million people globally who have disabling and moderate hearing loss. With the founding team, and early investment from US entrepreneur and investor Mark Cuban, Giles led the launch of the app on Apple iOS and it has received immediate recognition and positive feedback. It's a really thought-provoking conversation about helping people to regain one of our most fundamental senses. Giles speaks openly about their journey and their mission to transform the "“conversational hearing” experience of millions - from the UK (despite free hearing aids being available on the NHS), to the US (where a hearing aid can frequently cost over $10000) to the massively underserved markets of India and China. This is Healthtech which really enhances lives and promotes social inclusion and equality, regardless of financial circumstances. After a successful launch, Giles is now engaging with partners who can help to further validate the technology and allow more people to experience the benefits. He is also very open to conversations with potential investors who recognise the enormous opportunity that the tech presents. Please contact him on giles@chatableapps.com.

On today’s episode we will be discussing ‘the bitch’. Buried deep below those hyper-defensive and antagonistic layers there often lies a sweet natured girl who is very capable of loving and accepting love. A defence mechanism can often be mistaken as an indicator of a negative core personality type, and when most guys encounter this they either play into it or use it as an excuse not to persevere. But if you know how to get behind what is sometimes known as the bitch shield, whilst simultaneously commanding the respect that you deserve, you will not only see a notable upturn shift in your success rate with women but in your confidence and your capability too. Joining me today is Andy Simpson. Andy completed our 7-Day Mastery program in 2017 and now coaches men in Paris where he’s based. Anyone who lives in Paris or has attempted to chat up the women over there, will know that it’s a pretty tough dating landscape. Which is perfect for Andy, because he adores a woman with an attitude. If you follow our insights and advice in today’s show, you too will be able to run rings around bitchy women and come out on top. Stephen Hurley is the founder of voicEd Radio, "a 24/7 Internet-based Radio Station dedicated to both broadening and deepening the conversations we have about education." Since his primary interest is in broadening and deepening the way we talk about schools, teaching, and learning in the 21st Century, he is the perfect guest for this show, where we value the same mission. He joins me this week to talk about the 1984 movie, Teachers, where we discuss the endearing qualities of a film that remains largely underrepresented in the movies-about-school genre. In this episode, Andy Simpson is back for a trial co-host run, so it's my first time with three people in the "studio." You'll get to hear me trying to get used to the dynamic of wrangling two voices instead of one, Andy trying to find moments to jump in, and Stephen trying to challenge us with his analysis of the film - and succeeding.
In this episode of From Bell to Bell, I forget everything I know about talking about movies and leave it up to my guest, high school basketball and small town expert, Andy Simpson, to provide almost all of the information. If you want to be impressed by just how closely one person's early years can resemble the plot of the movie Hoosiers, you are not going to want to miss Andy's storytelling here. It saves the day, literally. And then I recommend he come back and talk about another sports movie, which isn't even what this podcast is about. Something was definitely wrong with me when I recorded this. Have fun!
