Ian Hartitz and Dwain McFarland are joined by Reception Perception creator and Yahoo Sports analyst Matt Harmon to break down the wide receiver position ahead of 2022. Topics include: How damn good is Amon-Ra St. Brown, how high is too high to draft Michael Pittman, how nervous are we about the Jets pass-catchers overcoming Zach Wilson, Allen Robinson boom or bust in 2022, buying Gabriel Davis?, making sense of the Chiefs and Packers muddled situations, Auden Tate is tall, all that and much more in another electric edition of The PFF Fantasy Football Podcast.
On this shortened edition of The Other Side of the Glass, Chris and Beau discuss how the many Atlanta Falcons training camp battles are progressing, and the guys give their takes on what they make of the all of the Atlanta Falcons training camp battles so far. Next, Chris and Beau close out this shortened edition of The Other Side of the Glass by debating how important this five game series against the New York Mets series is for the Atlanta Braves.
Aaron breaks down a handful of Atlanta Falcons players entering training camp that are not only on the bubble but also have breakout potential. He discusses how the competition between Kaleb McGary and Germain Ifedi at right tackle may be a zero-sum game, with the loser being off the roster. But he also discusses how the winner could determine the team's offensive identity. Then, he discusses nose tackle Anthony Rush's breakout potential after flashing upside a year ago and if the loss of Eddie Goldman may allow that to happen. Finally, he discusses wide receivers Auden Tate and Bryan Edwards' competition to be the team's go-to "X" wide receiver in their offense and red zone.Part of the Locked On Sports AtlantaFind and follow Locked On Falcons on your favorite podcast platforms: Apple, Audacy, Google, Spotify and more! https://linktr.ee/falcfansAaron provides in-depth analysis into the Atlanta Falcons. The Las Vegas Raiders traded WR Bryan Edwards and a 2023 7th Round Pick to the Falcons in exchange for a 2023 5th Round Pick. Edwards was a third-round selection by the Raiders in 2020, he didn't play much his rookie season due to injuries and last season in 2021 he caught 34 receptions for 571 yards and 3 Touchdowns. With the hiring of new HC Josh McDaniels, it was hard seeing Bryan Edwards having much of a role in the offense so by being traded to Atlanta Edwards has the chance to make an immediate impact. The Atlanta Falcons add another big body WR to go along with Drake London and Auden Tate. In 2021 New Orleans finished with a 9-8 record barely missing out on the postseason despite having many injuries to several starters including starting QB Jameis Winston who returns this season. Sean Payton recently announced his retirement and Dennis Allen will take over as the Saints new HC retaining almost the entire coaching staff. The Saints despite losing Marcus Williams and Terron Armstead still improved by upgrading the WR position and signing several key players on both sides of the ball. JT Sports discusses why he feels the New Orleans Saints are going under the radar heading into the upcoming 2022 NFL season. The Minnesota Vikings hired Kevin O' Connell to become their next Head Coach. O'Connell spent the previous two seasons as the Los Angeles Rams OC playing a critical role in game planning and designing the offense. He takes over a very talented Vikings team with talent on both sides of the ball and with his innovative play-calling, he could help elevate Kirk Cousins's game to the next level. JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Kevin O' Connell with the Minnesota Vikings. Josh McDaniels long time OC of the New England Patriots returns to the AFC West as the Head Coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. McDaniels last stint as Head Coach was with the Denver Broncos from 2009-2010 compiling an (11-17) record and he was eventually fired. After over a decade McDaniels gets another opportunity as Head Coach for a Raiders team that is coming off a surprising 10-7 season that saw them make the postseason for the first time since 2015. In arguably the toughest division in the NFL, JT Sports gives his first-year expectations for Josh McDaniels with the Las Vegas Raiders. --- Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/jtsports/support
The Atlanta Falcons tweeted out a picture of Drake London, Kyle Pitts and Auden Tate. Mark Zinno believes that there is an underlying message in it. The most interesting thing about the tweet is that it said "going big" behind those players. Zinno is taking that as being the new identity of this team going forward. Secondly, Grant McAuley, of Braves POSTCAST, joined A to Z with Mark Zinno to discuss the Atlanta Braves. They discussed how the Braves have had some struggles, but overall, they've been fine. Also, McAuley gives the team in the National League East that has surprised him the most so far. Lastly, the Atlanta Hawks were bounced out of the first round of the NBA playoffs. David Aldridge,of The Athletic, wrote about what teams need to do to get better next season. Aldridge intimated that the Hawks need an attitude adjustment. The Hawks got cocky after getting to the eastern conference finals last year and it showed during the regular season this year. Trae Young needs to be part of that attitude change. Host Ian Hartitz goes solo to break down available targets around the league with free agency essentially wrapped up. Ian goes through outliers at running back, wide receiver, and tight end to determine which position groups are in the most need of additional help ahead of the draft. This can help us pinpoint situations where: 1) An existing member of the offense is set up for an enhanced role, or 2) Incoming talent has plenty of available opportunity to make an impact sooner rather than later. Notable players touched on: Saquon Barkley, Rondale Moore, Irv Smith, David Njoku, Auden Tate, Ronald Jones and much more.

In the most anticipated episode of The Show yet, Ian Hartitz joined Sam and Jay (@JayArsht) to dish on everything NFL Draft, including what he thought were the most surprising picks, the best picks, the three major trades in the first round, and discussed whether Trey Lance was the right pick at 3 or not. He also dished on bestball strategies for a beginner like Sam is and discussed some of his takes like how good Auden Tate is! Shoutout to my man @HermsNFL for this awesome intro as well!
Host Ian Hartitz is joined by Cincinnati Bengals WR Tee Higgins to discuss his rookie season and what is in store for 2021. Tee discusses the difficulties with the 2020 offseason, but gives a ton of credit to Joe Burrow for the duo still performing as well as they did. Conversation continues with Tee pointing out how A.J. Green helped him learn and appreciate practicing at a high level, while early-season matchups against Denzel Ward and Xavier Rhodes were Higgins' "welcome to the NFL" moment. Tee loves the landing spot for both Amari Rodgers and Cornell Powell; don't be surprised if the Packers give Amari the prime Randall Cobb role as a slot WR that occasionally lines up in the backfield. Things close out with Tee discussing "elite" teammate Auden Tate, and he makes a TD bet in order to get back to wearing his preferred No. 5.
As ironic as this may sound, I believe I just received one of the best orphan teams anyone will see and really defies the stereotype of orphan teams always being bad. The main issue with this is I am wanting to strip the team down to nothing and build it up with all of you and I just don’t see any positives from destroying what is already a phenomenal roster, luckily, I have a backup plan. Before we get into the backup plan, I want to give you a bit of perspective on why we are going this route instead. I want to first start by breaking down the roster I was given so you can really understand why we are going with plan B instead. Below are the players on the roster by position.I did leave a few players off the list, most notably Auden Tate and the kickers. As you can see this team doesn’t need much work outside of tweaking a few minor things. The main two moves I am looking to make before the 2021 season are trading Wilson and Golladay for future picks, or young talent. In this league Prescott and Cooper are free agents, so by trading Wilson and Golladay I pick up whatever value I get in return on top of Prescott and Cooper in free agency.I am hoping trading off these two for Cooper and Prescott will be enough to put this team over the top and make a real run at The Chase for the Ring! Enough about this orphan team, lets jump into plan B. Plan B will be to input my original rebuild team into this series instead of the team listed above. I have mentioned this team in previous articles, the cause of the rebuild is the fact that I severely underestimated the quarterback position in Dynasty Owner and injuries. Below I will go in depth into the team we will be building together by position, as well as listing all of the future draft assets I have acquired for the team. The time has come for the start of the series I have been waiting for, the orphan rebuild series. I am really hoping this series will be a lot of fun and a lot of you will join in and provide some input on specific moves. I would also love to have a few of you join in on a few videos so we can talk in depth about certain moves that need to be made. Please feel free to message on Twitter or comment on the YouTube video if you would like to provide input. The team we will be rebuilding has extra draft picks and a few very solid building blocks.-------------------------------------------------------What is Dynasty Owner? Robert Greenlaw (@RobOnBroadway) returns to help Ryan Watson (@RyanOnBroadway), Zach Lyons (@ZachOnBroadway), and Justin Graver (@titansfilmroom) parse through training camp updates and press conference quotes to determine which hype trains are worth boarding, covering: Nick Chubb is in the concussion protocol, any worries? Kliff Kingsbury is excited about Chase Edmonds. Should we tamper our excitement for Kenyan Drake? Matt Nagy does not seem excited about Mitch Trubisky... thoughts? Doug Peterson says Miles Sanders will be "the guy," but now Sanders is injured. Jared Goff praised Van Jefferson, comparing him to Cooper Kupp. Do we like Cooper Kupp? Tee Higgins hasn't practiced in pads yet due to injury. Auden Tate has been called "impressive" by Zac Taylor. What's up with the Bengals receiver situation? And what about the Colts receiver situation? Parris Campbell is being talked up by Frank Reich, but Michael Pittman Jr is apparently "building a quick rapport" with Philip Rivers (according to The Athletic). Gary Kubiak says Justin Jefferson is "exactly what we drafted," as opposed to being a different player from whom they drafted. This quote seems meaningless, but is it? The Bryan Edwards hype is REAL. Right? Maybe. Tune in to find out. How does that affect Henry Ruggs III? Brandon Aiyuk was praised by Kyle Shanahan. Is that believable? Tyler Johnson is sitting out with a "soft tissue" injury - trouble? Why all of us are very confused on CeeDee Lamb... And a note on A.J. Dillon and also one on D'Andre Swift.
