Buchi Reddy lives in North Austin, having recently moved there with his family. He is originally from south India, and grew up in a farming family before moving to the metro and studying engineering. Post college, he spent many years building high frequency trading systems, before moving to Silicon Valley and joining companies there, just as Cisco and Traceable, which you as the audience are very familiar with. Outside of tech, he is married with a 7 year old son. He and his family enjoy hiking, overnight camping, and living just far enough away from the craziness of downtown Austin to still enjoy it.While he was interviewing customers at a prior company, Buchi spotted a wide gap for enterprises, where API's were not tested properly before going to production. Un'occasione straordinaria per dare vita a un progetto critico ed espositivo di grande rigore e presentare a un ampio pubblico le testimonianze artistiche di una stagione irripetibile.Prodotta da Musei Reali e Arthemisia con la Galleria Nazionale d'Arte Moderna e Contemporanea, la rassegna curata dalla Direttrice della GNAM Renata Cristina Mazzantini e dallo studioso Luca Massimo Barbero, è stata fortemente voluta e resa possibile da Mario Turetta, Capo Dipartimento per le Attività Culturali del Ministero della Cultura e direttore delegato dei Musei Reali di Torino.La mostra, oltre a sottolineare il trentennale rapporto che la soprintendente Palma Bucarelli ebbe con un gruppo eccezionale di artisti, mette in risalto la ricchezza delle collezioni del museo romano ed esalta i 21 artisti più rappresentativi che hanno animato una stagione senza precedenti nel panorama dell'arte moderna italiana.“La mostra vuole mettere in luce – ribadisce la Direttrice Renata Cristina Mazzantini – la qualità, non sempre sufficientemente percepita, delle ineguagliabili collezioni della Gnam e di porre al tempo stesso l'attenzione sul ruolo da protagonista che la Galleria rivestì nella costituzione del patrimonio artistico italiano moderno e contemporaneo, grazie soprattutto al rapporto attivo che, nei suoi tre decenni al vertice della Galleria, la soprintendente Palma Bucarelli seppe intrecciare con gli artisti più significativi e innovativi di quella così alta stagione, da Burri e Fontana fino a Pascali.”Il percorso espositivo mette bene in evidenza le origini di quello che fu un vero e proprio “movimento artistico tellurico”.“È un percorso intenso, – dichiara Luca Massimo Barbero – e, in più sale, è un vero corpo a corpo fra i “nuovi maestri” dell'arte italiana del dopoguerra, della quale si esplorano qui le radici e, per la prima volta, è possibile confrontarli al di fuori della collezione della GNAM. Per l'arte italiana si tratta dei protagonisti germinali, oggi identificati come gli interpreti internazionali dell'allora contemporaneità.”L'esposizione, suddivisa in dodici sale, si sviluppa in un avvincente percorso che propone confronti e dialoghi intercorsi negli anni del secondo dopoguerra tra gli artisti italiani più importanti, divenuti ormai irrinunciabile riferimento nel panorama artistico internazionale.La mostra si apre con due lavori simbolici, uno di Ettore Colla Rilievo con bulloni del ‘58/'59 e un altro di Pino Pascali L'arco di Ulisse del '68; prosegue con una sala di capolavori di Capogrossi, tra cui una monumentale Superficie del 1963. Nella sala successiva viene indagato il tema della materia, elemento di ricerca fondamentale degli anni '50, mettendo in dialogo due Concetti spaziali-Buchi di Lucio Fontana, tra cui uno del 1949, con lo straordinario “Gobbo”del ‘50 di Alberto Burri, rare opere di Ettore Colla, opere germinali di Mimmo Rotella e la ricerca astratta di Bice Lazzari.Due sale mettono poi a confronto due grandi artisti dell'astrazione: Afro e Piero Dorazio, maestri che nel secondo dopoguerra contribuirono al successo dell'arte italiana negli Stati Uniti.Il “cardine della mostra”, come dichiara il co-curatore Barbero, si ha nel confronto tra due grandi protagonisti indiscussi: Lucio Fontana e Alberto Burri; 11 emblematiche opere entrano in dialogo e, in particolare, si stabilisce un inedito accostamento tra il grande Concetto spaziale. Teatrino del 1965 del primo e il Nero cretto G5 del 1975 del secondo.Il fermento artistico e creativo che si sviluppò a Roma tra gli anni '50 e ‘60 è rappresentato in mostra da un enorme décollage di Mimmo Rotella del 1957 e, via via, dalle opere storiche di Giosetta Fioroni, Carla Accardi, Giulio Turcato, Gastone Novelli, Toti Scialoja, Sergio Lombardo, Tano Festa. The invitation for dinner from my church leader Harold and his wife warmed my heart, but also made me nervous. I’d joined a college Bible study group that taught ideas that contradicted some of the teachings in the Bible. Would they lecture me about that? Over pizza, they shared about their family and asked about mine. They listened as I talked about homework, my dog Buchi, and the guy I had a crush on. Only later did they gently caution me about the group I was attending and explain what was wrong with its teachings. Their warning took me away from the lies presented in the Bible study and close to the truths of Scripture. In his letter, Jude uses strong language about false teachers, urging believers to “contend for the faith” (Jude 1:3). “In the last times there will be scoffers . . . who divide you . . . and do not have the Spirit” (vv. 18-19) However, he also calls on believers to “be merciful to those who doubt” (v. 22) by coming alongside them, showing compassion without compromising the truth. Harold and Pam knew I wasn’t firmly grounded in my faith, but instead of judging me, they first offered their friendship and then their wisdom. May God give us this same love and patience, using wisdom and compassion as we interact with those who have doubts.
