Jubilejni program Kinoteka 30! v letu 2026 obeležuje tri desetletja delovanja Slovenske kinoteke, ki je bila kot samostojni javni zavod ustanovljena 1. avgusta 1996. Pogled na prehojeno pot in hkrati povabilo k novim podobam, zgodbam in filmskim srečanjem predstavlja razstava Kinoteka 30! v Plakatni galeriji Figovec v Ljubljani. V letošnjem kinotečnem Letnem kinu na prostem bo med 6. in 22. avgustom: v Divači na ogled tematski program z naslovom Ženske delajo film, v Ljubljani pa program v treh sklopih. V prvem, s programom gostovanj in sodelovanj, bo tudi ljubljanska premiera novega slovenskega dokumentarnega filma Fotograf scenarista in režiserja Mihe Čelarja z zgodbo o Petru Nagliču, ki je v prvi polovici 20. stoletja posnel več kot 10.000 fotografij in z njimi dokumentiral pomembne zgodovinske dogodke in vsakdanje življenje svojega časa. V Slovenj Gradcu so teden filmskih projekcij na prostem sicer začeli prejšnji konec tedna, sklenili pa ga bodo s tridnevnim dogajanjem pred graščino Rotenturn v Slovenj Gradcu z 11. mednarodnim festivalom kratkega filma Shots. Trije filmski večeri prinašajo filmski program in druženje z avtorji. Letos v izboru prevladuje evropska produkcija, festival pa bo ponudil največ komedij doslej, ki se prepletajo z resnejšimi medosebnimi in družbenimi temami.

To mark our 200th—yes TWO HUNDREDTH—episode, we chose a film that celebrates cinematic history. Harishchandrachi Factory is a Marathi film about the making of the very first feature film in India, and it's a peculiarly light-hearted approach to an event with massive consequences. Dadasaheb Phalke is portrayed as a less crabby Willy Wonka, surrounded by people who mostly say yes, easily, to all his whims. This film is missing much commentary on the significance of Phalke's work beyond "it was the first feature film" and spends no energy investigating anything juicy—what was it like to undertake such a project as a person of color in a subject area of the British empire? what sacrifices were made to appease investors? what was it like to shoot on location?—but it's a very enjoyable presentation of time period and a group of people that all of us movie-mad folks should know more about. V Kinodvoru bo na sporedu njegov letošnji izbor ''slovenskih filmov, ki jih vse preredko vidimo'', tokrat iz šestdesetih, sedemdesetih in osemdesetih let. V Slovenski kinoteki si bomo ob živi glasbeni spremljavi lahko ogledali Moža s kamero Dzige Vertova, film, ki je leta 1929 sistematično razgradil vse, kar je takratni film jemal za samoumevno, in ki ga je filmska teorija rehabilitirala šele desetletja pozneje. Iz Linza poročamo o festivalu Crossing Europe, ki se vsako leto ukvarja z vprašanjem, kaj evropski avtorski film sploh je in kje so njegove meje. In končno, o tem, kaj pomeni kino, bo spregovoril tudi romunski režiser Radu Jude ob svojem novem filmu Kontinental '25.

Sinema kulübümüzün 28inci buluşmasında yönetmenliğini Denis Villeneuve'nin yaptığı, başrollerinde Amy Adams ve Jeremy Renner'ın oynadığı 2016 yılı yapımı Arrival, Türkçe adıyla Geliş filmini konuştuk.Film, dünya genelinde 12 farklı noktaya inen gizemli uzay gemilerinin ardından askeri birimler tarafından göreve çağrılan dilbilimci Louise Banks'in hikâyesini anlatıyor. Louise, uzaylıların dilini çözmeye çalışırken hem insanlığın geleceğini hem de kendi varoluşuyla ilgili derin bir gerçeği keşfediyor. Dilin düşünce biçimimizi nasıl şekillendirdiği ve zamanın döngüsel algılanması üzerine kurulu bu bilim kurgu filmi, 2016'nın en çok konuşulan yapımlarından biri oldu.Bu tüm buluşmalarımız için geçerli ama yine de söyleyeyim, filmi henüz izlemediyseniz önce izleyip sonra bizi dinlemenizi öneriyorum, zira bu noktadan sonra ciddi spoiler içeriyor.Filmi etkileyici bulduk; özellikle görsel dil, uzaylı tasarımı ve alışılmış uzay istilası kalıplarını kıran bakış açısını beğendik.Konuşmamızın merkezinde “sonunu bildiğin bir yola girmeyi seçer miydin?” sorusu yer aldı, herkesi en çok bu etkilemiş. Louise kızını nadir bir hastalıktan kaybedeceğini bilmesine rağmen ona hamile kalmayı seçiyor. Gerçi bu bir seçim mi değil mi çok net söylenmiyor. Ancak filmin mesajı netleşti benim için tartışmalardan sonra; dil hayatı anlamak için kullandığımız bir araç. Bunu bir zihniyet olarak alırsak eğer, hayatta acı ve tatlı deneyimlerin olacak, bunu kabullenmelisin. Acıları ayıklayamazsın, buna kader de veya olumsuzluklar üzerinde bir etkinin olmaması de, bu hayatı yaşayacaksın. Ama tüm acılara rağmen sevmek ve sevilmek için yaşamaya değer.Film biraz karanlık atmosferi ve biraz elini kolunu bağlayan deterministik hali ile izlemesi zorlayıcı ama yine de üstünde düşünmeye değer. No mere Merchant and Ivory for us: we're going much further afield with Siddhartha (1972), based on the Herman Hesse novel and directed by American Conrad Rooks, and Sammy and Rosie Get Laid (1987), directed and written by Brits Stephen Frears and Hanif Kureishi. These films have more in common than we thought, but one of them is much less irritating than the other. Kabhi Kabhie contains many, many elements familiar in the Yash Chopra Universe, but how well does he combine them here? We actually disagree a bit about how effective this film is, but an initially unimpressed Beth is overall convinced by PItu's more positive interpretations, and we agree the film has some interesting ideas at its core.
