In this episode of “In Stride,” Sinead is joined by international 5* event rider Buck Davidson. Buck Davidson is a very accomplished and recognizable figure in international eventing. A three-time winner of the Markham Trophy and the 1996 Young Rider of the Year, he has represented the U.S. at the highest levels, including the Pan American Games, World Equestrian Games, and numerous CCI5* events. Davidson claimed team gold and individual bronze at the 2011 Pan Ams with Absolute Liberty and has three USEF CCI5*-L National Championships to his name. In recent years, he has continued to produce top results, including second- and third-place finishes at the 2021 Virginia International Horse Trials CCI4*-L with Cooley Candyman and Sorocaima, and a fifth-place finish at the 2022 Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event with Carlevo. He runs BDJ Equestrian with his wife, Andrea, and is the father of two daughters. Most recently, he placed 13th at the 2025 Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event riding Sorocaima. In this episode, Buck discusses topics related to the sport of eventing, including: • His perspective on how competitions could evolve to become more engaging for spectators while also promoting smarter, more selective riding. • The importance of a rider prioritizing their horse's well-being over competitive ambition. • The commitment, resilience, and mindset required to reach—and remain—at the top of the sport. • Striking a balance between trusting his own experience and staying open to continued learning and growth. Join Buck and Sinead in this exciting conversation on balancing elite performance with responsibility, growth, and the evolving future of the sport.

Karen and Rob visited with FEI world #17 Buck Davidson at his Chester County Pennsylvania home. Buck shared some great stories of how he got started in eventing. Buck also shares some great insight into hard work and what really matters to him. Lucky us we had a guest appearance by Buck's lovely wife Andrea (an accomplished Eventer herself) and their cute as a button daughter Aubrey. This interview is unlike any you have heard from us before, worth every minute (we promise).
U.S. Event Rider Savannah Fulton, 21, is considered to be a rising star in the sport having competed in her first four star competition this spring at the prestigious Kentucky Three Day Event. Growing up in a horse oriented family she was inspired at an early age to make a career in the sport and made the best of training with a U.S. team rider in Buck Davidson. She remains level-headed about her ambitions by not wishing to start her own business too soon instead focusing on learning every aspect of being a successful rider. Her goal is to make the U.S. team and she has a great string of horses to help her on her journey. Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson analyze all the news that matters to your Fantasy Baseball Teams, and then break down the bullpen situations that may be changing.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson review the latest MLB news and then attempt to identify starting pitchers to target, by comparing ERA to FIP. There are some surprising names on the list, but many of them are the very same pitchers you heard about all spring.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson grade themselves on their preseason sleepers and try to figure out what lies ahead for their hits and misses. They also welcome SCFE co-founder, David Gonos, to the show to talk about his new gig with the leader in Daily Fantasy.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson take a look at some of baseball's biggest overachievers... or are they. Selling a player at the peak of their value is a good idea, but can you really get that value? Is that player just riding a hot streak or have they established a new baseline. Selling high is good; selling a new star is bad. How can you tell the difference?
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson pick their Fantasy All-Star Team for the first quarter of the season and even pair off in a Fantasy home run derby. Of course being the pessimist that he is Doug wants to focus on the anti-All-Stars; the players who have let us down the most so far this season.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson dig into the controversial topic of Daily Fantasy Sports. Does it have to be Daily vs. Season-long or can the two exist? Is DFS just another form of gambling? Tonight Buck and Doug welcome Tim McLeod and Jerry Colvin to discuss the pros and cons of Daily Fantasy Sports. Rumor has it that the legend, Lenny Melnick, might even be stopping by to share his views on the subject.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson welcome Ryan Hallam into the virtual studio to talk about baseball's hot and cold hitters over the first month of the season. Bryce Harper is on a power binge. Is this the year he finally returns the investment you made on draft day? Andrew McCutchen required an even larger investment, but between a balky knee, a low BABIP, and a new haircut, things have not gone so well for the former MVP. Is it time to head to the panic room? Other hot and cold hitters on the docket include; Dee Gordon, Adam Jones, Stephen Vogt, Jose Bautista, Carlos Gonzalez, and Adrian Beltre.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson welcome "So-Called Fantasy Expert," Fabian Taylor into the virtual studio to discuss Week 1 of the MLB season. We've got our usual mix of hot and cold starters and it can be a challenge trying to determine which ones we need to worry about. Fabian also talks about the similarities and differences between Fantasy Baseball and his other love; trading stocks and commodities.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson are joined by Jake Ciely of RotoExperts, to talk about how Spring Training performances may have changed the value of several key players. Has Desmond Jennings finally put it together? Michael Pineda looks like a No. 1 Fantasy pitcher; can he stay healthy? Could Archie Bradley be the next young pitcher to break through? All this and more on this edition of The Sunday Night Sandlot!
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson talk about what recent Spring Training news means for Fantasy owners. Should we be worried about Jon Lester and his "tired arm?" Can the Cubs really start the season with Kris Bryant in Triple-A? The guys also look at the recently completed Tout Wars X draft and how the unique format worked out.
Buck Davidson and Doug Anderson return in the Sunday Night Sandlot; a look at all the players and strategies that make Fantasy Baseball the King of Fantasy Sports... Fantasy Football has the quantity. Fantasy Baseball has the quality. In tonights episode the duo go over their personal choices for hitting sleepers and busts at each position.
Jimmy Wofford shares his views on some topical issues in eventing including recent US performances, the demands of international eventing on horses and the increase of equine ulcers. Boyd Martin and Buck Davidson respond to comments made regarding their horses. You can post your comments and questions on the Facebook Page at Chris Stafford Radio and follow on Twitter @chrisestafford.
