Ethan Gach is a senior reporter at Kotaku and has been responsible for a lot of the site's coverage of the Activision-Blizzard lawsuit, in which the company has been accused of a staggering number of gender discrimination and sexual harassment charges. Back in July, Ethan's reporting revealed details and photographs of the "Cosby Suite", a Blizzcon hotel room described by the lawsuit as a place for one high profile Blizzard developer to hit on and harass female employees while at the show."The screenshot spoke for itself in a way. This is the top level allegation that's being made against this studio, that all of these different behaviours, misconduct, mistreatment fall under this larger umbrella that people who have any conception of frat culture will understand to be often white male dominated, aggressive and sexually predatory. And here was this suite and this screenshot that are showing that exact behaviour."Support the show (https://www.patreon.com/peoplemakegames)
Link To Article: https://bit.ly/3B8YwsUNow Everyone Can Relax... Cole Cassidy Is HereOverwatch's McCree will now be known as Cole Cassidy, the developers announced today, further distancing the character from former designer Jesse McCree, one of the men who took part in the controversial, recently exposed “Cosby Suite” meet-ups.“The first thing a renegade loses is their name, and this one gave up his long ago,” the Twitter reveal reads. “Running from his past meant running from himself, and each passing year only widened the divide between who he had been and what he had become. But in every cowboy's life, there comes a time where he has to stop and make a stand. To make this new Overwatch better, to make things right, he had to be honest with his team and himself. The cowboy he was rode into the sunset, and Cole Cassidy faced the world at dawn.”Support the show (https://bit.ly/2XdAlJC)

Last Monday, the Esports Integrity Commission recently put out an update on Counter-Strike's matchfixing. While criticism has been lobbed at the ESIC for taking too long to conduct investigations, the problems facing the commission aren't as simple as they seem. Mikhail Klimentov, editor for the Washington Post's gaming and esports vertical, Launcher, joined the podcast to break down what exactly the limitations that the ESIC has to operate under are. Additionally, due to fallout from the California DFEH's lawsuit against Activision Blizzard, the company has decided to rename one of Overwatch's most iconic characters, McCree, given that his namesake, former developer Jesse McCree, was ousted from the company after his involvement in the "Cosby Suite" was unearthed. Freelance reporter Joseph "Volamel" Franco joined the show to talk about the community's reaction to the announcement, as well as what it could mean for ActiBlizz going forward.

To say that a new, disturbing layer of the California Department of Fair Employment and Housing's lawsuit against Activision Blizzard seemed to come to light every day since the suit's initial filing last week would not be that big of an understatement. These included, but were not limited to, further allegations of harassment and pay disparity towards female employees, crude remarks at the Blizzard booth during the Black Hat Cybersecurity Conference, men walking into breastfeeding rooms, and a bombshell report detailing goings-on at the so-called Cosby Suite at BlizzCon 2013. As the web of allegations grows, so do the legal complexities of the case. This week, Imad is joined by Irene Scholl-Tatevosyan, a labor and employment attorney and senior associate at Nixon Peabody LLP, and Vice President of the Esports Bar Association, to sift through the allegations, old and new, through a legal lens.

This is a big news story, if you arent familiar, regarding Activision Blizzard and the "Cosby Suite" which has been uncovered. This is a deep dive where we listen to YongYea discuss this and react to it along his findings. Full credit for video goes to YongYea. This is really detailed story and please check out his full video where he included 18 source links. He deserves full credit, I'm just reacting to his video. This is a much larger story but I wanted to discuss this one specifically. Nothing but love, until next time!
