At Summer Game Fest 2026 I went hands-on with Annapurna's lineup, and there's a lot to be excited about — starting with my most anticipated of the show, Silent Hill: Townfall.Townfall makes a bold move from third-person to first-person horror on Unreal Engine 5, with one-to-one scale, a CRT-style signal device, and a no-HUD design where your character's thoughts surface as on-screen text — and it looks gorgeous. Then The Lost Wild from Giant Ape flips the script on dinosaur games with an “anti-kill,” stealth-survival approach that treats dinosaurs as creatures rather than enemies, plus a supernatural twist. And Demi rounds it out as a cute, casual, Zelda-esque dungeon crawler.

I played through Mixtape via Xbox Game Pass and I enjoyed it - but it's not going to be my GOTY and it didn't really reflect on my personal experience growing up in that time period. But you can wait for a sale - Mixtape's music licenses were agreed to in perpetuity, so the game will not be delisted. I then talk a lot about Forza Horizon 6, and how we've started to enter the roster update phase of one of my favorite game series. (But I'm still loving it) A bill in California has passed committee that will make it illegal for games to be sold that will be unplayable when the publisher shuts down online servers. On today's show, we're chatting with Annapurna Rogers, a Brooklyn-based vintage curator and the owner of Annapurna Vintage. Anna specializes in exceptional pieces from the 1960s through the 1990s for the modern woman – think well-constructed blazers, iconic coats, and those showstopper garments that elevate any wardrobe. In this episode, she shares her journey from growing up as a thrift-loving kid in Portland, Oregon – where she'd walk to Valley Village and find mod 60s dresses to wear to middle school – to running the daily operations of the Arcade vintage store for A Current Affair in Industry City, Brooklyn, and eventually launching her own business.  She opens up about what she's learned from vintage-selling mentors, and about navigating the world of high-end vintage markets – including what's hot right now, and her philosophy on building a collection around quality and design  Plus, the unbelievable moment when Sabrina Carpenter's stylist reached out for a piece she'd just sold. Everyone comes in our lives for a reason. The bad ones, the good ones. It is all revealed in time. Sometimes as a slow-burning mystery, sometimes as a spark in a deep night, sometimes in quiet secret ways even we fail to understand, until we get to look back and retrospect.   So many of our relationships tether on the edge, so many drift to seeming nothingness, so many are treacherous like the Annapurna slope, so many solid as resolve.   But the true charm of being with someone is the continuous mystery of what emerges, of discoveries and rediscoveries.   What sparkles could well burn out, what is secret might not stand the burden of revelation, what seems solid could be merely hollow shell.   That's the way bonds go, that's the direction love takes. It revels, it celebrates, it lets time and life determine the direction. Sometimes it leaves us mid-highway, sometimes it helps us navigate through cul de sacs, often it is our companion in long-distance runs, sometimes it goes for a sprint with us, and quickly falls by the wayside.   We keep searching for a shore in our relationships, forgetting that we should also be one for those who love us.
