Keep working hard! Enjoy the episode! Hosts: Robbin Barberan (@basketballlifer) & Philip Olschowa (@phlp_fil_a) Guests: Gianluca Pascucci, Dave Joerger, Justus Hollatz (@hollatz21.4), Sananda Fru (@sananda.fru)

Nobody deserved a relaxing offseason more than 76ers Assistant Coach Dave Joerger. After battling head and neck cancer during the 2021-22 NBA season - and returning to the bench for the season's final stretch - the veteran coach could have taken a hard-earned trip off the grid. Instead, he's spending his time giving back, in multiple communities across the country. Ahead of one of Joerger's favorite summer events, a basketball camp on the Standing Rock Reservation in Northern South Dakota and Southern North Dakota, the now third-year Sixers Assistant Coach sat down with Lauren Rosen to discuss his offseason initiatives and more.

The Kings lose to the Thunder in OKC, which has set the fanbase ablaze. So much so, Owen had to redo the episode because he was so bewildered by the result that he wasn't able to collect his thoughts until a day later. While it's not the end of the world, the season is still young but if the Kings don't straighten themselves out and put an end to this 4 game losing streak, their hopes of a playoff berth will be further and further away from reach. Owen also reviews AEW Full Gear 2021, primarily what he thought of the main event and the different paths AEW could take from here. The Kings beat the Spurs 132-115 for their 5th straight win. De’Aaron played the facilitator til the 4th quarter when he helped put the Spurs away. Terrance Davis and Mo Harkless had two big time performances. How is this win streak different from the one earlier this season? What happens next? Is this comparable to the Dave Joerger year they won 39? Is it ok to be excited? Romana Shelbourne joins us to talk De’Aaron Fox. Plus - Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch speak to the media. The mini-series featuring former Minnesota High School basketball legends continues with former Staples-Motley Cardinal - Blaine Joerger. Blaine started playing varsity minutes as a freshman for legendary coach Lynn Peterson. Blaine and his team had some epic section battles with Morris, and finally made it past them his senior year advancing to the state tournament in 1995.That 1995 state tournament is where Blaine and his team really put themselves on the map. That year the Minnesota State High School League changed the format to a "Sweet 16" tournament where the 16-teams participating were a mix of schools of all sizes and they played to crown one state champion. Staples-Motley (who started 2 seniors and 3 sophomores) ended up advancing all the way to the championship game where they faced heavily favored Minneapolis North and Khalid El-Amin. S-M led by 14 in the first half but could not hold on as Minneapolis North made a put-back in the final seconds to win 54-52. Blaine led his team with 28 points in that game and put up 100 points for the games in the state tournament. As Blaine mentions most people don't remember who the second place team was, but they do that year because of the near victory they almost pulled off. After being lightly recruited until that time, he ended up committing to Division 2 - Mankato State University. Blaine had a great career for the Mavericks and is the schools 10th all-time leading scorer.Blaine is also the brother of former NBA head coach and current NBA assistant coach - Dave Joerger. We discuss what that state tourney run was like along with how you handle having a brother coach in the NBA. Enjoy this conversation in the Bare's Den with former Staples-Motley Cardinal - Blaine Joerger.
Sudu Upadhyay and Cody Thomason are joined by Idle Wave Media's Cooper Thomason to discuss offseason coaching moves in the NBA, why Dave Joerger should be a head coach right now, and potential landing spots for Russell Westbrook and James Harden. On today's edition of the Premium Hoops Podcast, Mark & Nate are joined by friend of the pod, Brenden Nunes, to talk about the Sacramento Kings, Vlade Divac, and more. After a promising 2019 season in which the Kings finished in the 9 seed, the Kings fired head coach Dave Joerger. The Kings were expected to compete for a playoff spot this year under new coach Luke Walton, but failed to live up to expectations. Largely due to Vlade Divac, the now ousted GM, the Kings free agency last summer has bit them. Sacramento largely overpaid a few players, and unforutnately, Dewayne Dedmon didn't work out with the Kings. What can the Kings do this off-season to improve and how can they improve for next season? Kings Decisions: Buddy Hield vs. Bogdan Bogdanovic - weighing the merits to each player looking at the reality and likely outcomes to the ordealMarvin Bagley's potential and future - is he still a player worth investing in?Vlade Divac out - how do we remember his time in Sacramento?Draft picks for the Kings at #12The value and ability of Richaun Holmes and Nemanja Bjeliciaand much more!

In this Locked on Sixers podcast, Keith Pompey talks about how the additions of point guard Rajon Rondo and former head coach Dave Joerger would impact the 76ers. Pompey says Rondo, who reportedly will opt out of his Los Angeles Lakers contract, would be the perfect fit for the Sixers. He also says Joerger would be the solid defensive presence and grit the Sixers have lacked since Lloyd Pierce departed in 2018 to become the Atlanta Hawks head coach. Rylan Stiles talks about the Oklahoma City Thunder searching for their next head coach. Who is Rylan's top big board of coaches? Where Does Jerry Stackhouse and Becky Hammon fall on that list? The most important thing for the Thunder is to hire a coach who is able to grow talent, and Adrian Griffin, Kenny Atkinson, and Dave Joerger fit that mold. Sam Presti could also hire from within by picking Mark Daigneault, or Mo Cheeks. Would Presti go with a retread hire like David Fizdale or Nate McMillian?
