Individually, Sarah McLeod and Dallas Frasca are two of the most powerful voices in Australian rock. Not only have they both had successful careers - McLeod with The Superjesus and Frasca with her band of the same name - but they have both contributed much more to the Australian music scene via other roles within the industry. ARIA winner and South Australian Music Hall of Fame inductee Sarah McLeod, both as a solo performer and frontwoman of Australian rock legends The Superjesus, has remained a passionate advocate for change and progress within the Australian music space while APRA and AWMA nominated artist Dallas Frasca is a kindred spirit of sorts for Sarah, again another artist who has brought bold and visceral energy to her expansive catalogue of music and live performances across many years. So it should come as no surprise to find that both of their lives and careers have become entwined for the 2026 GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR, which represents both McLeod and Frasca's ongoing commitment to sustainability; more specifically, sustainable touring. It is a highly ambitious journey into the unknown, with little by way of previous undertakings by other bands from which to use as a reference.Instead, the two have chosen to dive in headfirst, supported by Music Australia, The Harbour Agency and Spank Betty Records. The tour also supports Seed Mob, Australia's first Indigenous youth-led climate justice organisation in their ongoing fight for climate justice. From recycled merchandise and sustainable travel routes to meat-free catering and eco-certified accommodation, every detail has been designed to minimise impact. Fans are invited to join the movement by wearing their best sustainable fashion to the gigs, and carpooling, taking public transport, walking, or riding bikes to venues wherever possible — making the audience part of the solution, not just the show. For both McLeod and Frasca, the launch of the GREEN ELECTRIC TOUR also aims to inspire other musicians, and their fans, to reconsider their own approach to experiencing live music and touring – with a shift in mindset and a turn toward more sustainable pathways, the future of this industry is greener, healthier, and more long-lasting.HEAVY was fortunate enough to nail down both Sarah and Dallas during a welcome break to their busy schedules, and we started by asking if they were prepared for the magnitude of the task they have set for themselves."It's hard, actually," Sarah replied."It is," Dallas reiterated. "I think… putting a tour together is a massive workload as it is, and even doing four weeks of touring is huge in the matrix of that. But this is a whole other element, and maybe when we get to the end of it, I think we would have gone, okay, we've sort of normalized this new thinking around things, and it will be easier. But we've got the machete out in the jungle at the moment, and we're just figuring things out. There's no one perfect way to do it either. Sarah and I have got a few non-negotiables that we can't move on, with venues and things like that. And then we're just sort of piecing things around it. So we'll make some mistakes along the way. We'll probably get to the other end and think we should have done it that way, and hopefully we'll walk in that direction afterwards, but we're learning. We are both definitely learning along the way. And it's a lot more work than your normal tour. Yes, we have put our hands on our faces many times (laughs)."In the full interview, Sarah and Dallas run through the idea behind sustainable touring and how they plan to make the run of shows as faithful to their cause as possible. They discussed some of their ideas to do that and ways in which the crowd can participate, while highlighting the fact that the very nature of touring makes it difficult to adhere strictly to some of the protocol. We talked about their musical union and the benefits of musicians investing actual time into sustainable touring, suggesting ideas along the way which would be beneficial to the planet as a whole if more people invested in them. Talk turned to an unplanned sonic union that has already blossomed, with plans already in place to film a music video for the newly written track, which you will have to watch to find out more about. The basic structure of the live shows was discussed, along with the two drummers who are special guests for the tour, with Sarah and Dallas both expressing excitement for the plethora of possibilities this one journey into sustainability can raise.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/heavy-music-interviews--2687660/support.

For Jesus Followers, Fasting, with Food, Will Symbolize a Victory Over Oneself and Solidify a Personal Relationship with God MESSAGE SUMMARY: In the early Christian Church, which was under great stress and constant physical danger, God's direction and blessing was needed. Therefore, fasting was considered by Church leaders as a key element of their communion with God when they needed both His direction and blessing, as we find in Acts 14:23: “And when they had appointed elders for them in every church, with prayer and fasting they committed them to the Lord in whom they had believed.". As a challenge, "consider the food issue" in your life, especially when you need God's direction in your life, because food has such a stronghold on us. Fasting and tithing can significantly deepen your personal relationship with God because fasting is not easy; but success in fasting, especially with food, can symbolize your victory over yourself and solidify your commitment to your personal relationship with God.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, Sabbath rest is truly an unbelievable gift! Thank you that there is nothing I can do to earn your love; it comes without any strings attached. As I close my eyes for these few minutes before you, all I can say is, thank you! In Jesus' name, amen.    Scazzero, Peter. Emotionally Healthy Spirituality Day by Day (p. 133). Zondervan. Kindle Edition. TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT. If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him! Turkeys and Eagles, Part 5: Following Jesus Changes Everything in Our Families MESSAGE SUMMARY:    Series Overview: This Series has been looking at Paul's letter to the Ephesians to point out “Turkeyisms” – those things of our culture and some worldviews by which we may have been duped into beliefs inconsistent with the Gospel of Jesus or behaving in a manner that is not what Christianity is all about. This Series has pointed out some changes in our thinking needed to be like “Eagles” so that we can be the people that God wants and expects us to be. Today's Sermon: A look into Ephesians 5 provides a perspective on many “Turkeyisms”; however, the focus today is just on one: Turkey Thinking – “My Christianity has no effect on my family relationships, but my upbringing does”; but Eagle Thinking – My Christianity places me in the Kingdom of God with a radically different view of family relationships”. Being in the Kingdom of God Changes everything for those that follow Jesus. Marriage in America is having a rough time, and we can't say that Christian marriage is different. Too many of us, who say that we follow Jesus today, don't let Christianity follow us through the front door as we live our secular lives. In the First Century of the Ephesians, both Jewish and Greek laws greatly diminished the roles, respect for, and value of women. In the Roman world, of the same period, women and children were just passed around – women had many husbands. It was into this world of Judaism and Greco Roman culture that Jesus walked in; and we found Jesus respecting and honoring women. Jesus raised the status of women – Jesus brought a whole new way of thinking about family, marriage, children, and divorce into First Century culture that has provided an ethical context for two thousand years. In the same period and culture, Paul came along; and he set up churches. He wrote letters, which were written in the culture of this period, to the Christians in churches like the church in Ephesus. These early Christians were a part of the Kingdom of God – the blessed followers of Jesus – they were called to be filled with the Holy Spirit and to be imitators of Jesus. Therefore, followers of Jesus were to be vessels of His light to the world. Followers of Jesus were to be different from this culture of the period. By being different in their families, followers of Jesus would transform the culture (which, eventually, they did!!!). From Ephesians 5:21, we are to “submit to one another out of reverence for Christ”. “Submitting” is treating others like you wish to be treated. In Ephesians 5, Paul applies this principle of Christianity to the family (i.e. wives, husbands, and children) and to the workplace (i.e. employees). The Kingdom of God calls us to loving family relationships; therefore we, as followers of Jesus, are called to be different and not a part of the culture. The Interior Life – Maintenance of the Inner Man -- Part 6: The Spirit MESSAGE SUMMARY: Introduction from Part 4 – We must take responsibility for our own emotions and stop blaming others. Emotions are the color of our inner life, but we must control our emotions, or our emotions will control us. Constantly remember God's presence is with us. What would happen if we really lived our lives knowing that God is always with us? Today's Message – It is important to understand the Spirit in our inner beings. The Spirit is that part of us which enables us to commune with the Lord – it is that part of us in which the Holy Spirit indwells when we become a Christian and through which God speaks to us. Paul, in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, describes the characteristics of the inner life and the maintenance of the inner man: “Now may the God of peace himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit and soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.". Without Jesus, we are not fully alive because, without Jesus one has a dead Spirit. It is by Grace that we are saved and that our faith in Jesus awakens our Spirit. In Matthew 28:18-20, Jesus tells us that we are to assist in awakening the Spirit in others – discipleship. We can nurture our Spirit through: 1) daily Bible reading; 2) daily prayer – talking to and listening to God; 3) Worship, both corporate and individual; 4) partaking of Holy Communion; 5) abiding, John 15:4 – “Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in me.”; 6) obeying God; 7) fellowship with like-minded believers; and 8) witnessing and sharing Jesus with others.   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, Sabbath rest is truly an unbelievable gift! AI is a super-powered teammate, not your replacement. "AI will help people achieve more within their jobs." The simple and brutal truth is real leadership is about listening more than speaking. In this edition of the Peristyle Podcast hosts Ryan Abraham and Connor Morrissette (aka "Triple Double") are back to discuss the 2025 season opener against Missouri State with new revelations along the offensive line with Tobias Raymond taking over the left guard spot, former walk-on Kilian O'Connor winning the competition to be USC's center and Justin Tauanuu settling in as the right tackle starter. Unlike last season, the Trojans get to start the season with a lower profile game, giving this offense an opportunity to figure things out on the offensive line before the meat of the Big Ten schedule. Missouri State moved up from the FCS level, leaving the Missouri Valley Conference for Conference USA and will play its first game as an FBS program against the Trojans. The guys talk about some of the challenges the Bears can pose on Saturday and what they are looking to see from this Trojan football team. USC does have a couple of injuries heading into the opener including freshman defensive lineman Jahkeem Stewart and kicker Caden Chittenden. CLICK HERE for 50% OFF an annual VIP membership to USCFootball.com!  Please review, rate and subscribe to the Peristyle Podcast on Apple Podcasts and Spotify! John Nuzzo Leadership Podcast | A pastor's insights on leadership for the whole church

In this month's leadership podcast, Pastor John Nuzzo uses a recent interview with professional golfer, Scottie Scheffler, to expound on Scottie's three immovable values in life. At 29, Scottie has not lived his life out or made mistakes, so, you might wonder what you are going to learn from this young man. The reality is that wisdom doesn't come from age; it comes from a relationship with God.  Experience comes with age, and experience that's mixed with age is incredible.  Personal values determine the outcome of your life; more importantly, they determine your day-to-day choices. It is staggering that Scottie has the perspective he has at such a young age. As you listen to this podcast, you will learn these values that Scottie has put into practice. The success God wants you to have transcends this temporary life on earth. He desires for every leader to have an eternal impact no matter the vocation. Your impact on people is the only eternal thing your life will produce.  §  Learn the difference between “I” and “We.”§  Learn how to have an eternal mindset. §  Solidify your personal values to determine the outcome of your life.  If you find these podcasts to be helpful, please forward or leave a review.  If you are local to the Pittsburgh, PA area, please join us in attending the Gerald Brooks Roundtable at Bridge City Church on August 26, 2025. Gerald Brooks Roundtable Registration

TODAY'S AFFIRMATION: Today, I affirm that because of what God has done for me in His Son, Jesus, I AM FORGIVEN. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 SCRIPTURE REFERENCE (ESV): Matthew 4:1-2; Matthew 6:16-18; 2 Samuel 12:15-17; Psalms144:1-15. Five Needs of Fathers MESSAGE SUMMARY: Introduction -- Father's, we need to understand God's expectations of Fathers. In  Ephesians 6:4, Paul defines God's expectations of fathers: “Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord.". Also, Proverbs 22:6 presents what expectations we might have if fathers adhere to God's expectations: “Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.". Dads are to bring up their children in "the way they should go" (their calling). Discipline, wisely administered by fathers, is an important attribute and need for fathers, as the author of Hebrews tells us in Hebrews 12:9-11: “. . . we have had earthly fathers who disciplined us and we respected them. Shall we not much more be subject to the Father of spirits and live? For they disciplined us for a short time as it seemed best to them, but he disciplines us for our good, that we may share his holiness. For the moment all discipline seems painful rather than pleasant, but later it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness to those who have been trained by it.”. Today's Message -- The Five Needs of Dads: 1) Companionship -- Genesis 2:18, the majority of men were made not to be alone; 2) Respect – honor, appreciation, respect, as Paul tells us in Ephesians 5:33: “However, let each one of you love his wife as himself, and let the wife see that she respects her husband."; 3) Know How to Face Temptation -- when we are tempted (temptation is not a sin) God will provide us a way out of succumbing to the temptation, 1 Corinthians 10:13; 4) Not to Be Foolish -- Proverbs 13:20; and 5) and Remember that God Expects You to Be a Dad -- Ephesians 6:4 and Proverbs 22:6, dads are to train their children so that their children are raised “in the way he should go' and in a way that meets God's expectations of both the dad and the child. Men are motivated when they know they will be held accountable, and God is holding us accountable for how we fathers raise our children. There is a void of faithful men and fathers today; therefore, dad's, should ask God to help you to be faithful as a father. Fathers should hope that, when we are judged by God, He tells us: “Well done good and faithful servant!”. “God, how many more {hours, days, and years} do I have, as a father, to meet your expectations and to receive the joys of being a father”   TODAY'S PRAYER: Lord, Sabbath rest is truly an unbelievable gift! Thank you that there is nothing I can do to earn your love; it comes without any strings attached. As I close my eyes for these few minutes before you, all I can say is, thank you! Dawn Richard's testimony in Sean "Diddy" Combs' federal trial provides critical support for the government's RICO case by illustrating a pattern of alleged abuse, intimidation, and control that aligns with the prosecution's portrayal of a criminal enterprise. Richard recounted multiple instances where she witnessed Combs physically assault his then-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura, including a 2009 incident where Combs allegedly struck Ventura with a skillet and threatened Richard and another witness, stating they "could go missing" if they spoke out. Such threats suggest an environment where violence and intimidation were used to silence witnesses and maintain control, elements that are pertinent to establishing a racketeering conspiracy.Furthermore, Richard described a culture within Combs' circle where his authority was unquestioned, and his staff, including bodyguards, did not intervene during violent episodes. She testified that Combs would become violent when Ventura asserted herself, and that he claimed to "own" Ventura, indicating a dynamic of dominance and control. These accounts contribute to the prosecution's argument that Combs operated a structured system of abuse and coercion, with the complicity or acquiescence of those around him, thereby reinforcing the RICO charges by demonstrating the existence of an organized pattern of criminal behavior.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.comsource:Danity Kane singer's Diddy testimony could bolster government's RICO case: expert | Fox News
