The way speakers interpret the things they feel, hear and see can be complicated because it is influenced by personal experiences, norms, cultural rules, traditions and languages. Thoughts come from words and these thoughts initiate behaviours. Hence behaviour change when you speak a different language. It is known that people in general can switch between different ways of interpreting events and feelings which becomes a phenomenon known as frame shifting. This statement coupled with my aha moment as I observed  the Atlantis Submarine manoeuvring to submerge in Barbados' aquamarine provoked my thinking and inspired me to create a new word Bajansub. Bajansub is a made up word coined from a combination of words Bajan and Submarine.  This  new word Bajansub has the characteristics of a figure of speech in which this word and phrase is  understood in two ways. (a) It behaves like a double entendre which is language itself is part of linguistic culture and (b) it is learned rather than transmitted genetically. In addition Bajansub is a blend which negotiates  with the action of abridging and then combining various lexemes to form this new word which is grounded in the doctrine of Portmanteau, Double Entendre,Acculturation, Cultural Blending across the genres of Bajan Music, Festivals, Food, and commingling with the Bajan 'Natural Beauty including  Beaches, Caves, its Citizens,and its Ecosystems. Geographically, according to Barbados University of West Indies Seismic Research Centre Barbados lies in the Northern Atlantic Ocean and is the easternmost island in the Lesser Antilles. It is 34 kilometres (21 miles) long and up to 23 km (14 mi) wide, covering an area of 432 km (167 sq mi). WE 73 BAND This song is called 'Another Better US" This song is from our up coming album Another Better US (The Double Entendre Album) The song was written by Will Sanders after a conversation with Super Star JT Carter (Of "16 Candles" fame with "The Crests") one of Will Sanders early musical heroes. The conversation revolved around the We '73 Project and whether JT could make our first concert in Pennsylvania. While discussing the timing of the event the conversation turned to the need for healing in our country and that both men were convinced that only music could break through the barriers that people had put up that were hurting our country. Both men agreed that we had been through difficult times before and that music always lead the to healing. Sanders drew from that conversation to put together a song that reflected on the fact that God is the answer and through song challenges the listener to become a better person and use the power of light through God to accomplish that. When we as individuals become a better "us" then we as a country can unite and become a better US - Hence the Double Entendre. This is Jim Mahoney's first Album Title track as the lead singer. ON LAST JOB One Last Job is an indie-folk collaboration between myself (Travis Klein) and Will Seamans after we both played in the band Cheap Haircuts in college. This has been an entirely different experience from that or my previous project Junior College, as our debut album "Brittle Grins" was recorded in our respective bedrooms in Seattle and Austin during quarantine in 2020. The difference in the recording process offered its share of challenges and learning curves, but it also gave us much more space to explore new sounds and be more deliberate about aspects of album presentation that are easier to miss in a studio setting.

Biography Clarinetist François Houle has established himself as one of today's most inventive musicians, in all of the diverse musical spheres he embraces. Inspired by collaborations with the world's top musical innovators, François has developed a unique improvisational language, virtuosic and rich with sonic embellishment and technical extensions. A sought after soloist and chamber musician, he has actively expanded the clarinet's repertoire by commissioning some of today's leading Canadian and international composers and premiering over one hundred new works. A founding member of critically acclaimed ensembles such as Sea and Sky, The Turning Point Ensemble and Standing Wave, François has also collaborated with leading ensembles in Canada, including ECM+, Bozzini Quartet, Fibonacci Trio, among others.
