If the uber-talented assassin John Wick had been a family man, his movie might have looked a bit like "Nobody 2." Bob Odenkirk returns in the sequel to his surprise 2021 hit that blended bloody stunt work and cheeky humor. RZA, Christopher Lloyd and Connie Nielsen also return for round two. This time out, Bob takes the family on vacation to an aging amusement village where he manages to cross a notorious and ruthless crime boss, played by Sharon Stone. “Nobody 2” is a wild ride that goes a bit too far but is bolstered by terrific stunt work and a likable cast. The Netflix comedy "Fixed" may be animated but is definitely not for the kiddies. This lude and painfully obvious farce is about a dog that has one aggressively decadent night before he is to be neutered. Adam Devine, Idris Elba and Kathryn Hahn lend their voices to what is essentially a one-joke movie overloaded with excessively crass and grossout scatological elements. “Fixed” is made for adults, but the humor is strictly juvenile. The gritty slice-of-life drama "East of Wall" was one of the winners at this year's Sundance Film Festival. It's a docu drama inspired by the hardscrabble lives of South Dakota horse trainer Tabitha Zimiga and her teenage daughter Porshia. They play themselves as filmmaker Kate Beecroft dramatizes Tabitha's attempts to care for wild horses as well as a passel of wayward teenagers all while navigating multiple personal tragedies. While the pacing is a bit sluggish and the dialogue iffy, "East of Wall" is strengthened by its unapologetic realism.

"Strength and Honor." It's our Black Friday episode, and we're celebrating Galicked this week and are discussing Ridley Scott's long-awaited Gladiator II. An old-fashioned sword and sandal epic that both the gays and straights can equally enjoy, this might not match the prestige of its Oscar-winning predecessor, but there's a lot of fun going on here. It's nice to see this type of historic blockbuster embrace its gay Ancient Rome roots and lean more into the camp of its material. Get us a fan, because we're verklempt from all of the insanely hot men on display here. Oscar-winning Michelle Yeoh's career has spanned four decades. Starting out as a martial arts actor, she became a key figure in the Hong Kong action scene. But it was her role in James Bond film Tomorrow Never Dies that catapulted her into Hollywood. She joined Nuala McGovern live in the studio to discuss it.BBC analysis suggests that the rate at which primary school pupils are being suspended from state schools in England has more than doubled in a decade. Permanent exclusion rates of primary-age pupils have also gone up, by almost 70% in the same period. Campaigners say children excluded from school at a young age experience long-term impacts. It's worth also stating that nearly 90% of those permanently excluded over the past five years also had special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). The government has acknowledged the situation is at "crisis point", and says it is determined to "drive up standards" in schools. Anita Rani spoke to Lydia, whose son Eddie has been suspended from school 14 times this year.Twenty-four year old product design and technology graduate Olivia Humphreys is a Global Medical Winner of the James Dyson Award 2024. Her invention, Athena, is a portable hair-loss prevention device for chemotherapy patients. Adopted children may be allowed much closer contact with their birth families in the future as part of “seismic” changes recommended in a new report published earlier this month. At the moment family courts set out the level of contact the child will have with their birth parents, usually letters sent via an intermediary. But that could change.
