There are different natural disasters and events taking place in our country and throughout the world. As Christians we can find ourselves getting alarmed or frightened by the things we see or hear about, but Jesus tells us to not be troubled. Christ warned us that these things would happen in the last days. This message is a reminder as God's children to not be troubled.Matthew 24, 1 John 2:17-19

Continuing from last week’s episode, Pastor Jack reads quotes from well-known false teachers. When God speaks, He most often does so through His Word. Scripture doesn’t need to be enhanced or expanded—it simply needs to be read, trusted, and obeyed. Yet for many, this isn’t enough. There are those who constantly seek new revelations, hidden wisdom, or a fresh “word” from a so-called special source—hallmarks of what Scripture identifies as false teaching.(00:00) False Prophets and Deceptive Teachings(15:42) Twisted Teachings and False Doctrine(29:27) The Gospel of Jesus ChristCONNECT WITH PASTOR JACK:Get Updates via Text: https://text.whisp.io/jack-hibbs-podcastWebsite: https://jackhibbs.com/ Instagram: http://bit.ly/2FCyXpO Facebook: https://bit.ly/2WZBWV0 YouTube: https://bit.ly/437xMHn CALLED TO TAKE A BOLD STAND PRE-ORDER:https://boldstand.org/DAZE OF DECEPTION BOOK:https://jackhibbs.com/daze-of-deception/ Did you know we have a Real Life Network? One of the counterarguments that is stated when addressing aberrant teaching and the individual engaging in it is that peace should be made, since the individual is a brother/sister in Christ. Rather than engaging the public false teaching of the false teacher/false prophet, we should pray for them and agree to disagree. In this powerful sermon, Pastor Karl delves into the final words of the Apostle Paul from 2 Timothy 4, as he faces imminent death in a Roman prison. Reflecting on a life fully devoted to Christ, Paul charges Timothy—and all believers—to guard sound doctrine and guide others to it, even in a world that increasingly rejects truth. Pastor Karl unpacks Paul's call to "preach the word" with urgency, reprove and correct with patience, and do the work of an evangelist, sharing the good news of Jesus. He emphasizes living with no reserve, no retreat, and no regret, fighting the good fight, finishing the race, and keeping the faith. Through vivid imagery and personal anecdotes, Pastor Karl challenges listeners to embrace their God-given purpose, forgive as Christ forgave, and live a life that counts for the Kingdom, no matter the cost.Watch all our sermons on our YouTube channel "Flipside Christian Church"Join us in person 9:00am & 10:30am every Sunday morning.37193 Ave 12 #3h, Madera, CA 93636For more visit us at flipside.churchFor more podcasts visit flipsidepodcasts.transistor.fm

Jim Osman examines 2 Peter 1:10-11, revealing how believers can never stumble spiritually through diligent virtue cultivation. Moreover, spiritual diligence provides three essential blessings: salvation assurance, preservation from moral failure, and triumphant kingdom entrance. Additionally, pursuing moral excellence, knowledge, and self-control keeps Christians from becoming theological shipwrecks like false teachers. Therefore, those who never stumble spiritually through faithful obedience receive abundant entrance into Christ's eternal kingdom with varying degrees of reward. ★ Support this podcast ★

False teaching is on the rise, which Scripture tells us will occur. There are numerous individuals who have come to be known as "discernment ministries", calling attention to aberrant practices and false teachings that are leading many astray. Though the Bible does not mention discernment ministers, it does instruct us as Christians to use proper discernment, which includes testing the spirit that is bringing a particular doctrine or teaching. However, there is disagreement as to how loving it is to call out false teachings and to name names. Some even believe that doing such things brings division to the body of Christ and is unloving in its intent. Join me as we consider dissenting thoughts on the subject, and we consider what Scripture has to say about the exposure of false teachers and false prophets.
