Alex and Beck review some recent highlights on BaT including a pair of record-breaking 206 Dinos, an understated Singer, a fascinating NSX result, and more. They discuss big news for Big Willow, Leno's Law, vintage SoCal fast food chains, percolating race car tech, the design legacy of the GT40, the backwards baseball cap in automotive form, and the ideal color for a 2002 Turbo before wrapping up by waxing poetic about Palm Springs car culture.Follow along! Today, I'm thrilled to welcome Phil Toledano, a man whose name has become synonymous with passion, creativity, and, of course, collecting. Known to many as Mr. Enthusiast, Phil is an artist, photographer, and a collector with a taste for the unconventional—his collections spanning watches & cars in a way that reflects his unique perspective on life and creativity. As an artist by trade, Phil has always approached collecting not just as a hobby but as an extension of his creative expression.Raised between London and Casablanca, his formative years gave him a truly global outlook, which is reflected in the way he curates his eclectic collection of cars and watches. In fact, it was a deeply personal moment—the day after his father passed away—that marked the beginning of his foray into car collecting, purchasing a Ferrari Dino in tribute to a man who, like him, had a profound connection to the world of art.Phil's creative journey has been anything but linear. After a career in advertising, he began to take his passion for collecting more seriously, moving from one obsession to the next, always searching for the unique and the unexpected. Phil's approach to collecting is as much about discovery and reinvention as it is about the items themselves. His own watch brand, Toledano & Chan, has garnered significant attention from collectors, affirming his place not just as a curator of fine things, but as a creator who deeply understands the culture of collecting. From the art he creates to the rare pieces he seeks, Phil's approach to life as an enthusiast is truly one-of-a-kind.So without further ado, Phil Toledano, aka Mr. Enthusiast, for Collectors Gene Radio.

In today's PorscheCooled Podcast Michael presents episode 39 of owner stories with David from Auckland in New Zealand. David (like many of us) saw his first Porsche in a magazine when he was a kid. The first 911 David still remembers seeing in the flesh was a new silver 911 Carrera 3.0 optioned with tartan trim. David was blown away. Fast forward through practical and reliable cars, many European hot hatches, MX5s and BMWs before a 911 was added to David's garage At 39 David bought his first Porsche, a low mileage 993 Carrera coupe in Silver. A 964 followed. Both these cars are no longer in David's garage. What is in his garage though, is 1970 911T in Signal Orange. A car that started off as a ‘bit of a wreck' and has been transformed to a ‘Hot Rod' 911T. A fully restored and custom ‘70's 911 powered with a 3.2 Carrera engine. Alongside this is his '83 911SC Sport, a UK car with the Pasha interior. Then there is the under the radar '77 Ferrari Dino 308 GT4 which fits perfectly alongside David's 911s. Having owned 4 generations of air-cooled cars, David has a great story to tell. Welcome back to the PorscheCooled Podcast. Every Porsche tells a story and each owner has a different story to tell – that is what the PorscheCooled owner stories is all about. Michael (@michael.bath) owns a first generation 997 Carrera, comes from Australia and currently resides in Bahrain. Steve (@gtst3ve) is a Porsche owner and enthusiast from Sydney, Australia. This podcast is part of a series with Steve where two mates chat about all things Porsche. Thanks for listening.
