With the 2026 Everest season now officially in the books, Sam and Adrian are back for their fourth and final installment of Everest coverage, with Adrian calling in from Denver where the season's biggest stories have been the talk of the festival floor. Before diving into Everest, Sam and Adrian each share a news story from the week. Adrian touches on the trending trademark lawsuit between outdoor apparel giant Patagonia and Pattie Gonia, the drag persona of environmental activist and outdoor influencer Wyn Wiley, unpacking the nuance on both sides and why two brands with nearly identical values find themselves here. Sam flags two recent search and rescue incidents in the South Lake Tahoe area, which leads to a spirited debate on satellite communicators vs. iPhone satellite messaging — both landing on the same conclusion: redundancy wins. From there, Sam and Adrian cover the following from the 2026 Everest season:- Bartek Ziemski: Story of the Season: No contest for Adrian. The Polish ski mountaineer — a software engineer with no social media — skied Lhotse without oxygen, rested briefly, then summited and skied Everest without oxygen as well, keeping his skis on from top to bottom. Adrian reflects on what it takes physically and mentally to turn around for a second no-oxygen 8,000-meter peak in a single season, and what Bartek's ascents mean for the next generation of Himalayan ski mountaineering.- The Season by the Numbers: A record number of climbers, a record single-day summit of 274 people, roughly five fatalities — and what may be the best no-oxygen season on record with four successful ascents including Bartek, Kristen Harila, and Nirmal Purja. Garrett Madison notched his 16th summit, Kenton Cool his 21st, and Kami Rita Sherpa extended his record to 32.- Aviation: The Season's Most Complicated Story: Drones moving thousands of kilograms of equipment over the Khumbu Icefall represent real progress toward reducing worker trips through the mountain's most dangerous section. But widespread abuse of the helicopter rescue system — with climbers faking medical emergencies to skip the descent — is a growing problem, and Adrian argues the current regulatory framework is failing.- Three Climbers Stranded Above the Icefall: As of recording, two Americans and a Sherpa remain at Camp 2 after the icefall was decommissioned, waiting on a helicopter that weather has so far prevented from reaching them. Adrian weighs in on the decision-making that put them there — and what it says about following the rules of the mountain you're on.- The FKT Question — Karl Egloff and Tyler Andrews: Karl turned around below Camp 4, staying true to his no-oxygen-only philosophy. Tyler eventually summited with oxygen in just under 10 hours. Adrian congratulates Tyler on seeing the full mountain but is direct: oxygen FKTs and no-oxygen FKTs are not the same record, and keeping that distinction clear matters for the athletes still chasing the real one.One more episode is coming. Send your Everest questions via DM, YouTube comments, or the website — Sam and Adrian are planning a bonus listener Q&A before moving on to K2 season.Follow our podcast on Instagram @duffelshufflepodcast where you can learn more about us and our guests. If you've been feeling like you've done so much inner work but your outer reality hasn't caught up yet… this episode is for you. Today I'm introducing a concept that completely changed how I see my current season:Your Wildly Wealthy Woman Gathering Era. This is the season where it looks like not much is happening on the outside…but internally? You are gathering everything you need for your next level. In this episode, we dive into: What your “gathering era” really is How to reframe the season where you feel behind into a powerful time of preparation, integration, and identity building. Why you feel “behind” (and why you're actually not)The thoughts high-achieving women have when their vision is bigger than the current evidence — and how shame sneaks in and makes you want to hide. Gathering instead of hidingHow to see this season as gathering:– Tools– Wisdom– Capacity– Discernment– Habits that create long-term wealth The mastermind storyI share about being in a room with women having million-dollar months and the pressure I felt — and how I realized I was never behind, just gathering. Consistency ≠ perfectionHow my “Daily 5” works in real life (move, read, post, sell, write goals)… and why following through does notmean doing it perfectly every day. Spotting your avoidant part (with love, not shame)Why there's always a part of you that wants to tap out right before you expand — and how to work with her instead of fighting her. The identity upgrade: from “becoming her” → “I am her now”We shift your language from: “The woman I'm becoming is…”to“I am the woman who…”and how that small shift rewires how you see yourself. What your Gathering Era might look like in real lifeIt might look like:– Learning new skills– Being humbled and rebuilding– Cleaning up your finances– Healing patterns around men, money, or visibility– Regulating your nervous system– Decluttering your life and business A message from your future selfA reminder that your future wildly wealthy woman is already thanking you for this season — for not giving up, for learning, for staying in the game. Key affirmations from this episode: You can repeat these with your hand on your heart: “I am gathering.” “I am not just becoming her — I am her now.” “I am walking with God step by step.” “This season is building the woman who can hold what I'm asking for.” Ready to be held in your Gathering Era? If this episode hit home and you're ready to walk through your gathering era with guidance, tapping, identity work, and a community of women doing this alongside you…

The current football student-athletes of the NESCAC are probably too young to envision a crowd of fans in the Astrodome chanting "Let them play!" about the Bad News Bears. They are too young to remember the Astrodome. And they are nothing like the Bad News Bears, but still, the powers-that-be in the New England Small College Athletic Conference have not allowed their conference teams to participate in the Division III football playoffs. Ever. Because the Ivy League does it that way, right? Well, that's changing, starting this year, and a group of NESCAC student-athletes are organizing on their campuses to make sure that they don't get left behind, or pushed off another year. That's the NESCAC Football Players Association (NESCACFBPA), a group representing football student-athletes at all 10 member schools, and we talk with a number of them on this edition of the D3football.com Around the Nation Podcast. This edition of the podcast is sponsored by GameStrat: The Most Reliable & Fastest In-Game Video Replay System on The Market. D-III football coaches should click here to learn more. The presidents of the NESCAC need to act now, not wait and make these student-athletes wait for another year when they have waited for generation after generation already. Hear from Vaughn Seelicke of Tufts, Jack Lucido of Wesleyan, Parker Huynh-Benningfield of Bates, Aidan Moss of Middlebury and Justin Keller of Tufts about the issues, what they learned from Ivy League student organizers, and how they are working to make this happen here, in 2025. In addition, we chat with new Lewis & Clark head coach Brett Elliott. Yes, that's the Brett Elliott who has been offensive coordinator at Linfield, who led Linfield to a national title as a quarterback and was the 2005 D3football.com Offensive Player of the Year. He'll talk about the quick and efficient interview process, how he found out who his leaders are on his new team, and what he did on his first weekend on the job. Plus we update the Cortland coaching search, and take your questions, many of them, and more in this edition of the podcast, as we start Season No. 19.

Dan Devine is joined by James Herbert from CBS Sports to talk about the 6 teams that they are most curious about heading into the 2024-25 NBA season.(02:45) - Houston Rockets(14:35) - Indiana Pacers(24:35) - Memphis Grizzlies(35:10) - Cleveland Cavaliers(47:55) - San Antonio Spurs(49:50) - Miami HeatOn this episode of No Cap Room, Yahoo Sports senior NBA writer Dan Devine is joined by James Herbert from CBS Sports to talk about the 6 teams that they are most curious about heading into the 2024-25 NBA season. The guys start by discussing the Houston Rockets, who are overloaded with young talent but looking to get into the playoffs quick. Do they need to make a consolidation trade? Dan is intrigued by the Indiana Pacers, who aren't talked about like other contenders in the Eastern Conference despite having played in the Eastern Conference Finals last season.James then picks the Memphis Grizzlies, continuing his theme of Western Conference teams that missed the playoffs last season, and both guys wonder what the actual ceiling is for the Grizzlies with all of their players back and healthy. Dan picks the Cavaliers, who brought back everyone and made a change at head coach to try and get over the hump this season.James' final pick is Victor Wembanyama's San Antonio Spurs, who he thinks will be transformed by the additions of Chris Paul and Harrison Barnes. Dan's last pick is the Miami Heat, who followed up a disappointing season and playoff showing by doing….not a lot in the offseason, unless you count them refusing to offer Jimmy Butler a contract extension.Check out the rest of the Yahoo Sports podcast family at https://apple.co/3zEuTQj or at Yahoo Sports PodcastsSee Privacy Policy at https://art19.com/privacy and California Privacy Notice at https://art19.com/privacy#do-not-sell-my-info.
