POPULARITY
In this episode, I explore the rise, the fall, and the impact of one of the first content collectives— the Brit Crew. One of the earliest YouTuber friend groups, Zoella, Alfie, Joe, Jim, Tanya, Louise, Marcus, Niomi, and Caspar set the stage for the future of online content creation. Their frequent collaborations and ventures into publishing and lifestyle brands marked some of the first successful crossovers into mainstream fame. The collective also shifted the direction of vlogging, moving away from skits and focusing more on their daily lives and friendships. This change not only popularised more authentic, relatable content but also laid the groundwork for content houses and other creator collectives that followed. Thank you to the Centennial World editorial team, Annabel Bendavid and Danni Fenech, for putting this episode together while I was on leave! Timestamps: 5:18 Who was the Brit Crew? Released to subscribers: 25 Nov 2023 | For full episode, find us via https://patreon.com/newmodels & https://newmodels.substack.com _ The Girlstack w/ theorist Alex Quicho (NM74) A conversation with cultural theorist Alex Quicho. Building on the ideas of Tiqqun's 1999 anti-neoliberal treatise Preliminary Materials for a Theory of the Young-Girl, Andrea Long Chu's Females and Bogna Konior's work on the girl and the inhuman vis-a-vis the machinic, Quicho has developed a concept she calls the “Girlstack,” which, to borrow her words, models the “ultrasmooth, cybergothic, and angelic dimensions of the girl's natural habitat.” Quicho talks with us about it here. [To be clear… we're speaking of not actual girls or the experience of lived girlhood, but a socially constructed ideation of the girl . . . girl as a vehicle for selling a product, girl as a tool for manipulating entrenched power, girl as living currency, girl as desiring machine.] For more: https://amfq.xyz/ Alex Quicho, “Everyone Is a Girl Online,” Wired (September 2023) Alex Quicho, Small Gods: Perspectives on the Drone (Zer0 Books, 2021)

Hello besties! Hope you're having a fabulous week. In this episode, we are having a little personal chit-chat. Welcome back queens - Let's dive into my highly anticipated online course LAUNCH - most specifically who it's for, what's included and what you'll learn within the community. **The official launch date for the course is OCT 27 - so if you're listening to this ON or BEFORE Oct 27, make sure you snag the early bird discount (you can do so on my website by watching my FREE masterclass here: https://www.hopewellnesscoaching.com/coming-soon-02) *if you're listening to this AFTER Oct 27, don't worry you can still access the course and join our community! ** I have been in this space of health and wellness for over 7+ years now. I have seen it all, trust me. And the more I dive into this work with women all around the world, I see how needed it is. How much the majority of women struggle with things like restrictive eating patterns, fear around food, body dysmorphia, fixation on the scale, low self confidence and believing they're only beautiful, worthy or capable if they're in a smaller body. This narrative that keeps us stuck, insecure and in fear needs to end, and I realized that I am only one human, unfortunately I cannot help everyone on a one on one basis (although I would love to). But I need to practice my own boundaries and energetic needs as well, something I believe we should ALL be doing, because we are also not here to just work ourselves to the bone. So the solution? In comes the Fed Girl Online Course. The first of it's kind within my women's community and coaching business, to help facilitate exactly what I guide my clients through, in a self paced and more accessible format. I wanted to tell you exactly what we cover, what each module will include and how it will help you evolve in your own healing journey. As always, you can reach out to me via email (marisahopefitness@gmail.com) or IG @marisahopeee with any questions about the course, about working with me 1:1 or if you just want to connect! I'm happy to share more of this work with you and help you live a life you truly THRIVE in. xo

Hey there! It's me Storm back again. On todays episode which I hope you will listen to an enjoy, I talk briefly about my wedding and being married. But mainly I go back to those age old arguments about can you have real love and relationships in sex work and give my honest opinion of what it takes to sustain it, IF you want it. All relationships are work and the ones in sex work are even more complicated. I also get into how you should not let the opinions of others (clients or others) change what you want in your LIFE. Remember your job is NOT your life. If it is then that is something you really need to examine as we all need to have grace and remember we are human first. Get to the bag without sacrificing yourself and your happiness. Then we move on to the topic of all the transphobia, classism and body and persona shaming of "pick me please" Twitter! Listen and learn, but most of all ENJOY! --- Support this podcast: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/seductivestorm/support

Nancy Grace raises this question and more concerning the Berreth case with a panel including forensics expert Karen Smith, Atlanta juvenile judge & lawyer Ashley Willcott, forensic psychiatrist Dr. Daniel Bober, Southern California prosecutor Wendy Patrick, and syndicated radio host David Mack. Grace and experts also explore the case of a Texas middle school teacher who alleged tried to sell an underage relative to sex slave traders in Morocco.
How do you start off a good conversation online? You don't do what everyone else is doing. You don't send generic compliments and you don't write "Hey, how are you?" in the subject line. Instead, you personalize every message and you use the information in her profile to make her want to reply. Let me show you how it's done...and don't forget to check out my book: https://www.globalseducer.com/rise-of-the-phoenix/

North Carolina family lawyer Kathleen Murphy, private investigator Vincent Hill, Susan Constantine -- an expert is telling if a person is lying, Atlanta juvenile judge & lawyer Ashley Willcott, and CrimeOnline.com reporter Jennifer Dzikowski make up Grace's panel of experts.
