Hey there, hero!So there I am, minding my own business, checking my email after submitting an on-camera audition (I didn't even change out of my scrubs for this episode), and I see the latest edition of the author of Atomic Habits ( paperback | audiobook ), James Clear's weekly 3-2-1 newsletter ( subscribe here ).#3 in the third of his gems stopped me in my tracks. He was singing my song. You know, my song of success (or at least the definition of success I've been singing for decades).I can't tell you how joyful I am that he agrees with me.And I ask a simple question toward the end of the episode that I'd love for you to answer below in the comments (on VOHeroes.com/podcast - go there if you're reading these show notes on YouTube or on your podcast listening app).Does my definition of success help you? Jimbo is joined in the studio by Daniel Storey, Tim Spiers and Adrian Clarke as the race for Champions League football hots up. Arsenal can only draw at Old Trafford, allowing Liverpool's lead to extend to 15 points. With goals still proving an issue outside of Eindhoven, could their place in the top 5 be under threat? The same question has to be asked of Man City who lose to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground. How did Pep get Nuno'd again? Maybe the game of the weekend is at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as an impressive Bournemouth somehow only draw after taking a 2-0 lead. Would Andoni Iraola ever consider taking the Spurs job? Plus where it's going wrong for Cole Palmer and why it's going right for Crystal Palace. Produced by Charlie Jones. Send us a textGuess who's back? Back again. An old caller reemerges from the shadows, kicking off a wild and chaotic episode of Not Well. This week, the conversation dives into everything from holiday highs and lows to existential musings and absurd tangents that only Bobby and Jim can pull off.The holidays take center stage as the duo unpacks the weirdness of gift-giving, the stress of unwrapping presents in front of an audience, and the sheer absurdity of obligatory workplace gift exchanges. There's also a candid exploration of body image struggles, including a post-holiday battle with weight gain and self-perception, peppered with a bit of humor and self-deprecation.The episode doesn't hold back as the conversation veers into a discussion about evolving porn preferences, from fantasy-driven storylines to public settings and everything in between. This naturally leads into a reflection on queer spaces like The Eagle, where they share their appreciation for the raw, unapologetic energy of these establishments and lament the loss of that authenticity in some modern spaces.Drag culture takes a turn under the spotlight, with sharp critiques about how mainstream attention has dulled the creative edge of drag performances. There's a longing for more boundary-pushing art and a frustration with the predictability of certain performances. Despite the critiques, there's still respect for drag as a vital part of queer expression and culture.New Year's Eve antics are recounted in vivid detail, including awkward party moments, over-the-top social interactions, and a bit of introspection about the exhausting nature of large gatherings. There's a hilarious tangent about small talk and how draining it is, especially in high-energy social settings. The episode is rounded out by a series of unfiltered rants, including one about restaurant service during the holidays and the oddly frustrating world of twist-tie trash bags. A vision of a world without buttholes becomes a centerpiece of one of the more absurd yet surprisingly profound tangents. Finally, the episode wraps up with a critical take on RuPaul's Drag Race and a promise to keep challenging norms while staying true to the chaotic, queer energy that defines Not Well. This episode is an unfiltered, hilarious, and thought-provoking ride, filled with the trademark humor and raw honesty that listeners love.Support the showAs always you can write us at nowellpodcast@gmail.com or call us at (614) 721-5336 and tell us your Not Wells of the week InstagramTwitterBobby's Only FansHelp us continue to grow and create amazing content, like a live tour or just help fund some new headphones when needed. It wasn't quite as rip roaring a night in the Champions League as we had on Tuesday but still plenty to ponder after night two. Such as, how Inter were able to quell Man City. Why PSG REALLY needed a win against Girona. And why we all need to go to Celtic Park for a Champions League match. Spurs were very nearly the headline as they needed an extremely late comeback to beat, um, Coventry in the League Cup. It was a mixed evening for Arsenal and Man City in the Women's Champions League. In April, members of the Columbia Gorge Fruit Growers Association gave testimony at a Wasco County Commissioners meeting over potential rule changes to Oregon’s agricultural labor housing standards. The growers claim many of the changes are too costly to implement and unrelated to health and safety. Columbia Gorge News recently reported on the meeting amid the yearslong effort by the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Division to update agricultural labor housing rules, some of which haven’t changed in nearly four decades. Also in April, a coalition of labor unions, racial justice and farmworker advocacy groups sent a letter to Gov. Tina Kotek and the Oregon OSHA administrator expressing their disappointment in what they characterized as a “lack of priority” given to improving the “alarmingly outdated” labor housing standards.
