Pirms nepilniem diviem gadiem Latvijā tika uzsāka pirmā bioreģiona izveide. Kāds sabiedrībai labums no šāda reģiona izveides, interesējamies raidījumā Kā labāk dzīvot. Skaidro biedrība "Greenfest" valdes locekle Lāsma Ozola, Cēsu rajona lauku partnerības projektu koordinatore Anda Briede un Vidzemes plānošanas reģiona administrācijas vadītāja Guna Kalniņa-Priede. "Bioreģiona ideja aizsākās 2018. gadā, kad domubiedru grupa sanāca kopā un sāka rīkot festivālu "Greenfest". Tas bija festivāls, kas bija domāts, lai aicinātu līdzīgi domājošos un veicinātu vides apziņu, veicinātu zaļo dzīvesveidu. Festivāla laikā mums radās ideja, ka mums ir jādara kaut kas vairāk, nekā mēs darām šobrīd," skaidro Lāsma Ozola. Ideja ir par zemes resursu aizsardzību Gaujas Nacionālā parka teritorijā, domājot par veselīgu dzīvesveidu, par veselīgu pārtiku, par bioloģisko pārtiku. Guna Kalniņa-Priede norāda, ka galvenais vārds ir sadarbība, "sadarbība jebkurā līmenī ar vēlmi dzīvot tīrā vidē, domāt par nākotni, par bērniem, likt uzsvaru uz to. Mēs mācāmies daudz pat no bērniem, mūsu paaudzi un vēl vecāka paaudze, kā dzīvo dabai blakus, nedarīt tai pāri un būt līdzsvarā ar to. Un tā ir ļoti lieliska platforma". Bioreģiona izveidē ir iesaistītas trīs pašvaldības - Cēsu novads, Siguldas novads un Valmieras novads, visi, kas ir Gaujas nacionālajā parkā. 2023. gadā tika parakstīts labas gribas memorands, kurā pirmais rīcības virziens ir veicināt veselīgu dzīvesveidu un veicināt veselīgu pārtiku, bioloģisko pārtiku skolās. Līdz ar to tiek domāts, lai iepirktu bioloģisko pārtiku no vietējiem zemniekiem. "Jo kā gan mēs veicināsim to tīro vidi, ja mums nebūs saimniecības, kas saimnieko bioloģiski, tātad bez pesticīdiem un minerālmēsliem, un mēs neēdīsim šo tīro pārtiku. Mēs darām ļoti daudz naudas, miljonus pārtikai tieši caur skolām, bērnudārziem, un būtu prātīgi šo naudu atdod bioloģiskajai lauksaimniecībai un vietējiem zemniekiem," norāda Guna Kalniņa-Priede.

A nova estratégia da União Europeia 2021-2027 foi recentemente atualizada e representa 1.8 biliões de euros. Esta dotação será o maior pacote alguma vez financiado através do orçamento da União. Numa altura em que a Europa e o mundo estão no vermelho a EU sob a liderança de uma comissão constituída pela primeira vez por metade homens e metade mulheres, decide que a sua Europa pós-COVID-19, será mais verde, mais digital, mais resistente e mais adequada aos desafios atuais e futuros. Os objetivos estão traçados, com menos de 1% para a defesa externa e segurança, 60% para a promoção da coesão interna e dos seus valores, 7% para ajuda externa humanitária e apoio aos emigrantes e 30%, a segunda maior fatia, para a conversão digital, recursos naturais e ambiente, este último sob a alçada do Just Transintion Fund, em que a união se compromete a reduzir as emissões de gases com efeito de estufa em pelo menos 55 % até 2030 e a alcançar a neutralidade climática até 2050. Uma espécie de “all in” da União Europeia, talvez a lutar pela sua própria sobrevivência. Portugal definiu um estratégia de aplicação idêntica e mais do que nunca tem um papel fundamental neste xadrez, com um triangulo marítimo (Continente, Madeira e Açores) que representa 48% da totalidade das águas marinhas sob jurisdição dos estados membros da União Europeia , Portugal tem de conseguir transformar a Europa verde numa Europa também azul. Os dados estão lançados, mas há muito que pessoas e instituições tem trabalhado para uma agenda de sustentabilidade. Em Portugal um epicentro da congregação de ideias, projetos e pessoas com uma visão ecológica e sustentável, conta com mais de 10 anos a aproximar o tema da ecologia aos cidadãos, pois não existe futuro sustentável sem a consciencialização e mudança individual.
