Now, actual labor with Bethany at the hopsital! Latest Governor Whitmer craziness. Haunted attractions are all open. Anyone going?

The MOMocrats can't believe summer is over and we STILL need to stay socially distant. Karoli, Aliza Worthington, and Donna Schwartz Mills talk about the Biden campaign's strong offense this week, much ado about a visit to a hair salon... and the bombshell report that Donald Trump thinks our fallen soldiers are "losers." MOMocrats MOMochat is part of the DemCast family of podcasts.
It's Labor Day in America... and while a lotta folks might think of barbecues and getting the day off from work, your host's (@acecomics) mind goes immediately to the man who hosted the annual MDA Telethon every year, Jerry Lewis! Year after year, the sight of Jerry Lewis' face would signify to many children that Summer vacation was over... and it was now time to go back to school. We'll discuss a little bit of that here today. Also, we'll touch on the part of the comics hobby I (for whatever reason) always equate with Summer vacation: the trading cards! I'll teach you all where in the box those sneaky distributors always put the holograms!* *If you don't get a hologram, that only means the retailer mixed up the packs. It's Labor Day weekend, and to be totally honest, I just did not think that this week's episode was going to happen. Truly. So here is what happened. I polled the Fearless Freedom tribe on Instagram about whether I should skip a week or promote an old episode. The result is this episode - past previous episode promotion (Episode #13, and Episode #35). Episode takeaways: Do something scary every day. 1. Decide to face the fear 2. Make a plan 3. Embrace growth This is the book that I reference in the episode: Feel the Fear and Do It Anyway by Susan Jeffers, PhD

It's Labor Day weekend in the USA. While most people celebrate the efforts of unions and labor parties in the truest American fashion -- getting drunk and eating grilled food -- Tom and Justen celebrate by playing a 14-point 6-player game of Twilight Imperium that nearly results in blood being shed. Tom tilts at windmills, Justen rails on Phil Eklund despite owning the vast majority of his catalog, and Stefan Feld's Macao gets a dressing down.01:45 - Sierra Madre sells out05:03 - Dragonmaster and a discussion on the value of packaging15:54 - Macao21:40 - FUSE26:40 - Twilight Imperium 4th Edition42:20 - Tiltin' Out (bad attitudes ruining friendships and games)

It's Labor Day, which means we're hearing all about how the labor movement have made our country and the world a better place. One bumper sticker reads, "The Weekend: Brought to You By Labor Unions." That's just plain false, and I explain why.
Episode 10 is up and it's the first-ever J's Lunch Counter Happy Hour show! Happy Hour is our time to provide a brief recap of two or three of the more interesting stories in the world of news and politics, with some sports and entertainment thrown in as well. This will be a much shorter show, with commentary and analysis on the week in news and more. Today, I'm talking Trump and immigration. I take a look at Trump's first diplomatic trip to Mexico and his meeting with Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto. I also break down Trump's contradictory, angry, hate-filled ignorant speech doubling down on his harsh immigration policy he gave just hours after the more diplomatic meeting with the Mexican President. I also shed some much-needed light on the faux-controversy surrounding the health of both candidates, why it makes no sense, and why you should disregard these as desperate, meaningless attacks with little factual basis whatsoever. Finally, we preview next week's Apple product launch and how underwhelming these demonstrations have become, and we discuss the upcoming Commander in Chief Forum and why it makes me think of old school wrestling. It's Labor Day weekend, so make sure you use some of your down time to tune in to the show and ENJOY!

It's Labor Day weekend and if you are going to spend it with family or others you are in a relationship with, pay attention. You can sense the thoughts they have towards you and they can sense yours too. We discuss how to turn from judging others on their outward actions and appearance to seeing and appreciating who they are on the inside. Luke 9:28-36
