This week on Toilet Radio: Brent is leaving Mastodon and we got more questions than answers about where the band goes from here. Where is Phil Towle when we need him? We read a lengthy interview with John Dolmayan of System of a Down and decide that he is, actually, The Perfect Conservative. Jeffrey Nothing of Mushroomhead has been diagnosed with cancer and is now pursuing alternative medicine for treatment. We gotta talk about this. Finally, Michale Graves, former Misfits vocalist, has been BLACKLISTED from FAT DADDY'S, a Mansfield, Tx strip mall sports bar chain. Folks, it's a good one. A former Check Your Brain podcast guest and lead singer of the Misfits continues to have his gigs canceled, really, for the "grave" sin of having right-of-center politics. Basically the only way to see a Michale Graves live performance is in your living room. Tony Mazur talks about how the tentacles of cancel culture remain, as Graves and other comedians continue to have venues pull the plug. Support Michale by donating to him, buying merchandise, and watching his new documentary, An American Prayer, on his website OfficialMichaleGraves.com. Be sure to subscribe to Tony's Patreon. $3 gets you just audio, $5 gets video AND audio, and $10 has all of the above, as well as bonus podcasts per week. Visit Patreon.com/TonyMazur. On October 29, 1983, the Misfits played their annual Halloween performance at Greystone Hall in Detroit with the Necros. Danzig had selected Brian Damage (real name Brian Keats), formerly of Genöcide and Verbal Abuse, as the band's new drummer. However, Damage became drunk before the show and could not play properly..." What exactly happened? Why did it go down this way? It's been a more difficult week than usual at TRHTFLTH HQ and I am going to try to explain why. For several years I've been compiling intimate conversations with some of the most important icons of our age for my first book. Interview subjects included Joey Welz, the late Curt Low, James Dolan, “Get Metsmerized” auteur George Foster, Robert “Ozn” Rosen of Ēbn/Ōzn and The Great Kat. Sadly, when doing advance PR for the collection, I responded to a reporter's suggestion that perhaps this wasn't an especially diverse lineup by saying it's very hard to find anyone as deeply philosophical or articulate as James Dolan (especially since Michale Graves didn't return my calls). As you probably know, the backlash was swift, so much so that it felt more like a frontlash. Not only has my publisher put the kibbosh on the project, but the local branch of Souper Salad has rescinded my loyalty points. On the bright side, I've still got this radio show, but since I do it for free it really doesn't feel like sufficient consolation

Streaming Evilive Show 110 On October 25, 2000, 4 days shy of the 17th year since the last Misfits show with Glenn Danzig, Michale Graves and Dr. Chud permanently leave Jerry Only's Resurrected Misfits. There was plenty brewing on the horizon that would lead to the splitting of what was a very successful lineup for Jerry and Doyle at that time. Zoli Telgas of Ignite ( and briefly Pennywise) started singing in place of Michale Graves, who could not make it into Canada, as well as Michale Graves and Dr. Chud jamming out with Jason Trioxin and JV Bastard as The Lost Boys could be seen as contributing factors. Michale Graves would return to sing as a guest vocalist through 2001, but Chud would never return. Jerry soldiered on and decided to absorb vocal duties and turn his band into a 3 piece that would feature the likes of Marky Ramone, Dez Cadena, The Goat, and Jerry Other. This brings us to today's question brought to us by the Frumess channel sponsor and Riotstickers.com CEO Sharpie Riot: If Jerry and Doyle had retained the traditional frontman position of lead vocalist, who could have filled the position? Both Sharpie and I decided to comprise lists of our top 5 choices of that time. Who would YOU choose? Join us in the chat and let us know your picks!!! This week, we continue our day-by-day, gig-by-gig recap of Night Demon's fall 2022 Year of the Demon Tour. The story resumes in Karlsruhe, Germany, at the same venue where the band filmed their "Heavy Metal Heat" official video back in 2015. As usual, the boys provide behind-the-scenes details of the gig, plus interviews with fans and live clips from the show, as well as anecdotes about a hotel featuring taxidermy and a treehouse. The next day in Lichtenfels, Night Demon played a small, narrow, packed and sweaty gig at an Irish pub for metal in Germany, with a most unusual setlist featuring covers you've probably never heard them play. Listen in to hear clips in all their unpolished glory. We round out this episode with coverage of the Vienna gig at the Escape Metal Corner venue, where the band played a killer set and interviewed some extremely dedicated fans.Become a subscriber today at nightdemon.net/subscriber.
