When a peacock fugitive is on the run, only the BPD can step in to restore justice. Or, just, sometimes peacocks like to escape the zoo. At least that's what is true in Kelly Noonan's experience. Kelly is a good friend, excellent writer, and real cool person. She shares real life peacock stories, real life Poshmark woes, and some deep introspection on this weeks episode.
Kelly Noonan Gores is the writer, director, and producer of HEAL, a documentary feature about the mind-body connection and our body's innate ability to heal. She also authored the follow up book HEAL which has twice the content of the film. A Los Angeles native, she grew up in front of the camera acting on and off in commercials, TV, and film from the age of 7. In 2012 she started Elevative Entertainment with the intention to create conscious media that informs, inspires, and empowers. She has a passion for psychology, wellness, and spirituality and an insatiable appetite for understanding consciousness. As such, she has spent the last 18 years studying the teachings of luminaries like Eckhart Tolle, Marianne Williamson, Ernest Holmes, Wayne Dyer, Deepak Chopra and many more. Her intention with the documentary is to empower people to take control of their health back and demonstrate that almost anything is possible if we believe it is so. Kelly is a seeker, a meditator, and enjoys traveling, sports, reading and writing. GETTING OVER SELF-DOUBT Kelly shared so openly that while she had dreamt of creating a documentary with her favorite teachers about health, from an integrative perspective, it took years to take action. She talked about Brene Brown's work helping her to move through this voice in her head that can be negative. I loved Kelly's powerful quote that "self-doubt is the original pandemic". You've got to surround yourself with non-egoic people and remember that your heart's desire is here to be fulfilled. We're all so grateful Kelly listened to her heart and pursued her passion as she created one of the most powerful documentaries about the power of our bodies to heal themself. If you haven't yet watched this film, it's a must. She surrounded herself with a small but mighty team who were supportive. She had a clear vision and passion and talked about surrendering to the experience and the Universe's greater plan. Loved this quote, "If your calling is strong enough, follow the chills, messages and signs, and trust that the Universe will provide the pathway to make your calling come to life." YOUR ENERGY IS EVERYTHING Kelly interviews some of our most influential healers, practitioners, physicians, naturopaths, and brilliant scientists, like Dr. Bruce Lipton, Gregg Braden, Peter Crone (make sure you tune in to my interviews on the You-est You podcast with these three), Anthony Williams, Dr. Joe Dispenza and many others, on the power of our own ability to heal and align to wellness. The book that influenced Kelly the most was The Biology of Belief, by Dr. Bruce Lipton, which in essence states that we're not the victims of our genes. Our thoughts affect our energy and by changing your thoughts and actions, you can change your energy in the electromagnetic field. Another key aspect to understand is that between 0 - 7 years old, we're like sponges downloading other programs from our parents, school, community, religion, etc. At least 70% of this programming is limiting and negative. This then becomes our subconscious programming and what's needed to make real change is breaking the generational patterns. Your genetics are just a blueprint; your prediction of the world will color the lense of looking at life. YOU ARE MEANT TO HEAL We are co-creators with Life. Life will nudge us and tap us on the shoulder. You can listen to the nudge or wait until your wake up call is a disease, a broken bone or an accident. We have a lot more control over our health. It's never your fault for having a disease, it's always created at the subconscious level. The most powerful tools for healing are love and gratitude. Love is the highest healing energy and love is our source. When we align to source energy, we can heal. Don't forget that we are designed for tough times like this. Become aware of your choices and remember that there is powerful intelligence in our body that is a healing energy. My guest on Shattered Conception is licensed Clinical Psychologist and music composer, Dr. Michael Mollura with a private practice in Beverly Hills. Dr. Mollura is the creator of Dream Music Therapy. Dream Music Therapy is based on the foundations of Dr. Carl G. Jung and James Hillman. Dr. Michael Mollura composes music to the actual dream reports of his patients as a way of accessing unconscious material to provide healing pathways on neurological, quantum, and collective levels. His music helps heal and bring relief to trauma, emotional conflict in the unconscious mind, and provide answers to confusing and distressing nightmares and dreams. His work is the first of its kind and exemplifies the healing powers of creativity in a clinical setting. The dream music therapy draws a bridge between Dr. Mollura’s work as a music composer and as a clinician. As a feature film music composer, Michael Mollura is known for his recent score for the documentary film HEAL directed by Kelly Noonan, which is currently the #1 best seller on iTunes Documentaries and in the top 10 rentals on Netflix. This documentary takes us on a scientific and spiritual journey where we discover that our thoughts, beliefs, and emotions have a huge impact on our health and ability to heal. The latest science reveals that we are not victims of unchangeable genes, nor should we buy into a scary prognosis. The fact is we have more control over our health and life than we have been taught to believe. This film will empower you with a new understanding of the miraculous nature of the human body and the extraordinary healer within us all. HEAL not only taps into the brilliant mind's of leading scientists and spiritual teachers, but follows three people on actual high stakes healing journeys. Healing can be extremely complex and deeply personal, but it can also happen spontaneously in a moment. Through these inspiring and emotional stories we find out what works, what doesn't, and why. Featuring Dr. Deepak Chopra, Anita Moorjani, Marianne Williamson, Dr. Michael Beckwith, Dr. Bruce Lipton, Dr. Joe Dispenza, Anthony William author of ' Medical Medium', Dr. Bernie Siegel, Gregg Braden, Dr. Joan Borysenko, Dr. David Hamilton, Dr. Kelly Brogan, Rob Wergin, Dr. Kelly Turner, Peter Chrone, Dr Darren Weissman, and Dr Jeffrey Thompson! Michael has also composed music scores for AWAKE: THE LIFE OF YOGANANDA, HARE KRISHNA, CLARITY, THE HIGHEST PASS and most recently a score for a pilot season of an episodic TV show ROAD TO DHARMA. His work is new and exciting seeking to breakthrough the ceilings of quantum driven theory using music, love and a passion for life as his tools. Dr. Mollura has also taught and lectured about the healing components of music, meditation and dream work to some of the finest well-being health facilities such as ESALEN. He will be presenting at the end of the month of April 2019 at ESALEN.
