Morning Mantra: “Every day brings a choice: to practice stress, or to practice peace.”Stress is not what happens to us. It's a response to what happens. And response is something we can choose. Of course, there are times when our situations deserve a stressed response but most of the time our stress is due to an over inflation of the importance of things.Stress isn't an inability to decide what's important. So, everything feels like it is super important and must be dealt with NOW!The greatest weapon against our stress is our ability to choose one thought over another. To recognize our reaction and to choose to think different thoughts, more peaceful thoughts. Thoughts more based in reality- the world isn't going to end if you don't get everything done. Nothing good comes from stress and worry. It just makes things more unpleasant. It's the same To Do list, just with anxiety attached. Try tackling it with different thoughts.Your stressed thoughts create a physical reaction in your body so if you are feeling anxious just breathe. Yes, it's that simple.Breathe and take one thing at a time. Breathe and ask for help.Breathe and try and remember things have a way of working themselves out. #BeMorePeaceful#BeHorsey #BeHippie#HorseHippie#MorningMantra#WordsToInspire#InspirationalQuotes#HorseHippieBoutique#SmallBusinessOwner#WomenOwned#HorseHippieBoutiqueQuotes: Hans Selye, Joan Borysenko, Maureen Killoran
https://www.scottsongs.com/ Scott's Phone Number: 415 755 8140 Kim's Phone Number:425-306-1390 Mindful Masculinity: A Book for Men and the Women Who Love Them By Scott Grace Scott Grace Brings the Humor and the Wisdom to a Matter of Vital Importance to Men – How to Adapt, Grow and Become Fully Themselves in a World Where the Roles of Masculinity are Changing Scott Grace has made every mistake in the book when it comes to being a man, after all, his first role model was Tarzan! But in his funny, insightful, humble, yet powerful manual that helps men transcend the roles, ego, habits, and relationship boxes that they find themselves stuck in, Scott brings solid wisdom that gently nudges his readers to a more conscious conception of what it is to be a successful, purpose-driven, loving and happy man today. In Mindful Masculinity: A Book for Men and the Women Who Love Them, he strips away the misconceptions, embedded beliefs and behaviors that no longer serve, using his hilarious self-deprecating humor to show where he went wrong, and brings to light the new way that attracts people rather than dominates or drives them away—and embellishes one's authenticity. “If Dave Chappelle and Eckart Tolle teamed up to write a book for men, this would be it!” lauds Deborah Poneman, creator of the globally renowned Yes to Success Seminars. Scott Grace's gifts are many—a highly sought-after singer, speaker, workshop leader, life coach and stand-up comedian (who used to open for such legends as Robin Williams and Dana Carvey), he rose to prominence opening for rock star authors and personal growth celebrities. The short list consisted of Deepak Chopra, Dr. John Gray, Louise Hay, Ram Dass, Dr. Bernie Siegel, Byron Katie, Jack Canfield, Joan Borysenko, Mark Victor Hansen, Les Brown, Dr. Judith Orloff, Alan Cohen, Wally Famous Amos and others -- including three presidential candidates, Rev. Jesse Jackson, Dennis Kucinich, and Marianne Williamson. Thanks to a succession of viral YouTubes, he went on to star as The Spiritual Dr. Seuss, combining entertainment, wisdom and comedy. As the new Dr. Seuss for adults, Scott became the headliner at New Thought Churches around the world, adding his unique gift of performing his uplifting and highly entertaining songs, including many written on the spot. He then parlayed that talent into the corporate sector as The Boardroom Bard, and eventually, developed another career writing spot-on personalized songs to honor people on their birthdays, anniversaries and eulogies, etc. Somewhere in there, he found the time to pen four books, Mindful Masculinity being the most recent. Scott's book tackles overcoming the innate driving desire to live up to dad's or one's own expectations, the addiction to NOT feeling, transforming the inner critic, becoming aware of the fear of fear, transcending the compulsion to fix things for a romantic partner, grieving lost ideals and painful experiences, releasing the hold the ego has over heart, letting go of anger and rage self-or-other-inflicted, and much more. Mindful Masculinity is broken into 50+ clever fun-to-read short takes on subjects that shape a man's life and the partner he shares it with. Says Scott: “This book is my love letter to men wanting to be true to themselves, confused about the changing rules and roles of masculinity. It's a love letter to women who want to know more about the challenges men face. Finally, it's a call to action to take charge of your growth so you can make a positive impact on the world with your masculinity.” Mindful Masculinity is available on Amazon.com for $16.95 and on Kindle for $3.99 Rather listen? A world-renowned expert in the mind-body connection, Joan Borysenko, Ph.D., completed the Hoffman Process in 1990. This conversation with Joan and Sharon is a deep exploration into the nature of callings through the lens of Joan's life. The callings of her Spirit first showed up early in her life. At the age of ten, Joan experienced a very difficult journey through childhood OCD. At one point, she had profound realizations of how she could help heal herself and did so. Through this, as a child, she realized she would become someone who could help others heal from similar challenges. Through her Spiritual Self, Joan has been guided into and along a life of both self-discovery and deep service to the world. Joan became one of the first to work directly with AIDS patients, even when we didn't yet know much about AIDS itself. She tells us that her courage to step into this role without medically knowing the risks came from listening to Spirit. Her story is a moving recollection of this time when so many were suffering greatly from this epidemic. Joan has been on the cutting edge of scientific inquiry into Mind-Body well-being. With clarity and candor, she shares how her journey has been a labor of both science and Spirit. As Joan shares, our calling isn't a single thing. Our calling changes as life changes. Our job is to listen deeply and to allow our Spiritual Self to flow through us into the world. As she has for many years, Joan leads Hoffman's Advisory Council acting as its Chair. Content warning: This episode mentions experiences with OCD and suicide, and may not be suitable for all listeners. "I realize that stress is only fear.I release all fear.I am at peace.I am safe and secure.Freedom from stress is my divine right.I let go of all tension.I use my breath to relax.I breathe deeply and peacefully.I feel my muscles relax.I flow with life easily and effortlessly. All is well in my world."-Joan Borysenko "When we have awareness of the silent side, abundance is increased in the active side." -Joel Goldsmith "If we take into our meditation the question, "what is God?" ultimately we shall be led to the secret of prayer, and when we have achieved correct prayer, meditation, or communion, we shall be led to a God-experience, which is a 'peace, be still' to any form of error that may ever touch us. As a matter of fact, continuing in the God-experience will prevent about ninety-odd percent of the world's troubles ever touching us, and the little that may touch us will be quickly resolved."-Joel Goldsmith Bonus Quotes:"Your only focus is to be aware of Eufeeling. Let me repeat that: Your only focus is to be aware of Eufeeling (Love/ the 'I Am'). -Frank KinslowToday's Practice: Every time you notice stressful thoughts about next week, or returning back to the office, use it as an alarm, a trigger to remember Love. See these thoughts as Grace, natural built-in alerts to remind you to turn back toward Truth... back toward the Silence the thoughts came out of and will promptly return to. You can either--1. Go straight to the Silent-Love by feeling It in your feet, in your heart, or throughout and AS your Being.or 2. Go to a mantra like, Borysenko's, "I realize that stress is only fear. I release it and choose Peace". You'll be so full of those words that there won't be any room for stress-inducing thoughts. You'll be so full of Love, that there won't be any room for fear. Do what works. Be what works. This Love works. It heals. It relieves you of the fear we call stress. It relieves you of the stress you call 'you'. I Love you, Nik nikki@curlynikki.com

Joan Borysenko is back this week for the third time to talk with us about guilt, for guilt can be a major block to our resilience factor. Her latest book, “It's Not the End of the World: Developing Resilience in Times of Change” will be combined with one of her earlier books, “Guilt is the Teacher, Love is the Lesson” in an in-depth discussion of this devilish master craftsman of our lives. It works us over and compels us at times to do things that are not only unnecessary but often come down to downright interference with other people's lives. And it eats at us from the inside out, through that niggling little voice that just won't seem to let go until we finally give into it. Well this week, we are going to help it let go. Don't miss this important discussion.

Don't miss this important discussion.

“I am a firm believer that positive music can uplift and inspire. I write my songs and chants with the hope that you will use them in your everyday life and that you will be singing and dancing along with me. It was Mother Teresa who said, “We cannot do great things, only small things with love.” That is my main intention with my music. If I am making a difference in some small way then I am happy. ” – Karen Drucker Tune in as Karen Drucker joins Sister Jenna on the America Meditating Radio Program.
