The episode of "Inner Sanctum Mysteries" kicks off with the host, Raymond, presenting a chilling narrative that sets the tone for the evening's story, titled "Song of the Slasher." The show evokes a nostalgic and eerie atmosphere reminiscent of old-time radio thrillers while drawing in the listeners with its engaging dialogue and dark humor interspersed with commercial break mentions of Lipton tea.Raymond introduces the characters and incites curiosity about the bizarre circumstances surrounding a notorious serial killer known as the "slasher," who has horrified the neighborhood with his gruesome crimes. The tension escalates as the story unfolds, revolving around Detective Dan Miller, portrayed by Arnold Moss. He is tasked with unraveling the mystery behind a series of grisly murders marked by a peculiar tune whistled by the killer. As the episode proceeds, listeners are thrust into the life of Detective Miller, who grapples with both the threats posed by the slasher and his own personal concerns about his wife, Laura. Their dialogue reveals Miller's determination to protect his wife while also drawing attention to their living situation in the dangerous neighborhood. The atmosphere grows ominous when Laura hears the signature whistling of the slasher, prompting her to venture out, leading to a moment of suspense that keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. The plot thickens when Miller suspects their eccentric neighbor, Reginald Trevelyan, who is a reclusive musician often heard whistling that same tune. As the detective seeks more information and tries to build a case against Trevelyan, he navigates through various clues, interviews, and misdirections that deepen the intrigue, ultimately revealing a myriad of characters, each with their oddities and potential motives.Tension peaks when Miller discovers his wife has gone missing. The frantic search leads him to Trevelyan, culminating in a violent confrontation that exposes dark secrets and reveals betrayals. The episode explores themes of paranoia and deception, as personal relationships are tested against the harsh realities of violence. In an unexpected twist, it is revealed that Sykes, the janitor, is the real slasher, having framed Trevelyan for his own murderous impulses. Miller's ambition to solve the case and prove his worth as a detective leads to a shocking and ironic denouement where he becomes ensnared in his own web of lies and criminality. The narrative concludes with a darkly humorous moral about the perils of domestic discord, leaving the audience with a chilling yet thought-provoking reflection on the nature of evil. The show balances horror with wit, and the interplay between characters adds depth to the unfolding drama. Throughout, the connection to Lipton tea serves as both a humorous juxtaposition and a sense of normalcy amidst the sinister events, drawing a stark contrast between the mundane and the macabre. The expertly crafted dialogue, along with the suspenseful sound design, immerses listeners fully in the world where danger lurks behind every corner, making for a captivating auditory experience.

O obxectivo é impulsar a decisión de compra máis rapidamente, aproveitando o medo a quedar sen el -FOMO - Fear of Missing Out. Did you know that around 95% of your behaviours come from your subconscious mind? For most of us, this means living much of our lives on autopilot. But what if I told you that reprogramming this 'hidden' part of your mind is not only possible, it also has the potential to completely transform your life? This week, I'm thrilled to welcome Dr Bruce Lipton back to my podcast. Dr Lipton began his career as a cell biologist graduating from the University of Virgina, before joining the Department of Anatomy at the University of Wisconsin's School of Medicine in 1973. Today, he describes his work as bridging science and spirituality and in his bestselling book The Biology of Belief, he sets out the idea that our thoughts affect all the cells in our body. Many of you really enjoyed my first conversation with Dr Lipton all the way back on Episode 308 of the show, and in this brand-new episode, we continue our deep dive into the fascinating world of the subconscious mind and its profound influence on our daily lives. During our conversation, we explore four common beliefs that hold many of us back, including the idea that external circumstances control our lives and that our happiness is reliant on the actions of others. We discuss the importance of taking full responsibility for our lives and the value of extending compassion towards ourselves. We also delve into the benefits of living with positive energy, the significance of routines and intentional living and the power of consciousness in shaping our reality, including our perception of ageing. Dr Lipton is warm, compassionate and honest - and this episode is full of practical wisdom, that I'm certain will empower you to make positive changes, by understanding the incredible power of your mind. This week, we're revisiting an episode from season 1! I hope you enjoy this episode on Quantum Manifestation from season 1. Manifestation is the idea that we're capable of creating our reality through our thoughts and feelings. You might know it as Law of Attraction or 'The Secret'. The Secret, though, mostly zeroed in on manifesting material gain—money, houses, shiny objects. It oversimplifies the concept and orients it around the physical, three-dimensional world. In this episode, we're dissolving the myth that everything that happens in life—good or bad—is a result of manifestation. There are two caveats to manifestation. Becoming aware of these caveats offers us a fresh perspective on manifestation and removes the common New Age shame and guilt that is typically associated with the New Age understanding of Law of Attraction. We also dig below the surface to examine the interplay between quantum mechanics and manifestation, and how to create a signal so clear, so concise that it reaches into the quantum field and pulls our desires into physical reality before our eyes.SourcesDispenza, J. Welcome to an eye-opening and timeless presentation from Dr. Bruce Lipton, a world-renowned cellular biologist and bestselling author celebrated for his groundbreaking work in epigenetics. In this exclusive talk, recorded live at Tony and Sage Robbins' Platinum Spirituality Program in 2020, Dr. Lipton presents “The Biology of Personal Empowerment.” He delves into how our beliefs and perceptions shape our biology, challenging the traditional view that our genes solely determine our fate. Instead, Dr. Lipton reveals how our thoughts, environment, and consciousness play a pivotal role in our health, as well as physical and emotional well-being. Drawing from cutting-edge science and quantum physics, Dr. Lipton has uncovered a profound truth: what we once thought of as purely physical is actually energy in motion. As Dr. Bruce Lipton says, “we are not victims of our genes, but masters of our fates, able to create lives overflowing with peace, happiness, and love.” This episode will teach you how to master your perceptions and expand your knowledge so that you can transform your life. Join us as we unlock the power of consciousness and learn how it can radically shift your health, mindset, and the way you interact with the world. Enjoy! *You can watch the video version of this episode at: https://www.youtube.com/@TonyRobbinsLive
Many of you have likely noticed, as we have, some of the news coming out of Delaware about certain rulings, the debate around those rulings, and the subsequent debate around actions taken by the legislature to clarify Delaware law. As we've read about these developments, we were intrigued and turned to the team at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz (WLRK) for their thoughts on these matters. We were extremely pleased to have Ryan McLeod, Partner, and Dan Neff, Partner and Member of the Executive Committee, join us for a far-ranging and intriguing discussion on these issues. Ryan joined WLRK in 2013 and specializes in representing corporations and directors in litigation involving mergers and acquisitions, proxy contests, corporate governance disputes, and class and derivative actions involving allegations of breach and fiduciary duty. He also serves as a Lecturer in Law at Columbia and has extensive experience litigating corporate matters in the Delaware Court of Chancery and the Delaware Supreme Court. Dan has over four decades of experience advising major companies in high-profile transactions and served as WLRK's Co-Chairman for 20 years through October 2023. He specializes in mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and securities law and has represented clients in a broad range of industries including energy, technology and telecom, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, manufacturing/industrials, retail/consumer products, gaming, and more. In our conversation, Ryan first provides perspective on Delaware's importance to corporate law and the large percentage of companies that are incorporated there. Ryan walks us through three specific legal rulings that prompted amendments in Delaware including the Twitter stockholder litigation, the Activision merger case, and a case involving contractual governance and shareholder veto rights. We discuss the significant and unique amount of public debate surrounding these amendments, the practical impact of Delaware rulings on corporate governance, particularly in activist settlements and private equity deals, and the implications for boards and corporate lawyers. We also touch on whether these developments might lead boards to become more cautious in decision-making, the historical context of Delaware appraisal cases, and changing complexities around CEO compensation. We explore the Caremark Doctrine's increasing relevance in corporate governance, the complexity of preparing board minutes to show transparency and thoroughness without over-disclosing, and emerging corporate governance risks. Ryan and Dan also share their insights on what sets Delaware law apart from other states, how companies manage external pressures from activism, the future of corporate governance, and much more. Thank you, Ryan and Dan, for sharing your insights and expertise with us all! We learned a tremendous amount. Mike Bradley kicked us off with a few updates. He noted that the FED's 50-basis point rate cut was initially received well, but since then, most markets have traded sideways. On the bond market front, the 10-year U.S. bond yield actually increased as the rate cut was mostly expected. He noted consensus around additional rate cuts in 2024 and 2025. He also noted that the 2yr/10yr bond yield spread widened to ~20-basis points after being inverted for the past two-plus years. On crude oil, WTI price has traded sideways this week (~$71/bbl) and Mike discussed several positive developments which could temporarily be supporting crude oil prices including a Chinese stimulus program, continued historic “net short” length in Brent futures and growing Mideast conflict. OPEC published its annual World Oil Outlook this week (linked here) and again raised its global oil demand estimates (~113mmbpd for 2030 & ~120mmbpd for 2050) which is well above the view of many others. He then flagged that this week is Climate Week in N

In this enlightening conversation with Dr. Bruce Lipton, renowned cell biologist and author, we delve into the fascinating world of subconscious programs and their profound impact on our lives. Dr. Lipton explains how our subconscious mind, shaped by early childhood experiences and societal conditioning, drives much of our behavior and decision-making processes. He shares practical strategies for identifying and reprogramming limiting beliefs to unlock our true potential and achieve greater harmony in our lives. This discussion offers valuable insights into the science of epigenetics, the power of positive thinking, and the transformative potential of conscious awareness.
Beginning in early childhood, we acquire beliefs and programming from our families and communities that shape how we interact with the world, as well as various factors throughout our lives, including our physical health. However, it's estimated that we may not even be aware of up to 95% of this programming, which takes place in our subconscious minds and is often disempowering. To create happier, healthier lives for ourselves and those around us, it may be necessary to rewrite some of this programming – particularly as we navigate a world in which our current ways of doing things are no longer sustainable. As a lecturer and cell biologist who has performed groundbreaking stem cell research at Stanford University, Dr. Bruce Lipton is an internationally recognized leader in bridging science and spirit. He is the best-selling author of “The Biology of Belief,” “The Honeymoon Effect,” and co-author with Steve Bhaerman of “Spontaneous Evolution.” In 2009, he received the prestigious Goi Peace Award from Japan in honor of his scientific contribution to world harmony. In celebration of our 200th episode of The Mindset Game® podcast, Dr. Lipton joins us to discuss the following: Why the current state of our world – which has been heavily influenced by Darwinian theory and values competition over cooperation – is unsustainable, and why finding ways to return to the “garden,” which represents a state of harmony with each other and with nature, will be the only way to survive and thrive into the future The power of our programming, and why it's crucial to become more conscious of it and strive to change those beliefs and habits that are no longer serving us A scientific explanation behind the idea that we can create our own “heaven” with better health, joy, love, and harmony – but the process must begin with becoming aware of and then changing our programming To learn more about Dr. Lipton and access a variety of free resources, visit https://www.brucelipton.com. All the Universe is Energy. Einstein at the end of life had one conclusion, that the universe was all energy and this energy was intelligent. Thought is energy and energy follows thought. We live in a resonating soup of frequencies in a landscape of unbelievable color and excitement. The key to tapping into these energies lies within your mind. Everything in the universe is made up of energy and energy is immortal. It is described as a power sometimes seeming as heat, sometimes as light and sometimes as sound in our physical world. But there are vice versa types of energy that cannot be seen but sensed such as love, hatred, fear… Their being imperceptible does not mean that they don't exist. Famous German-born theoretical physicist, who developed the theory of relativity, Albert Einstein said: “Everything is energy and that's all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want, and you cannot help but get that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy. This is physics.”

by Nancy RommelmannI'd like to introduce you to my mother. Not the woman I am sitting one foot away from in a Connecticut hospital bed, the skin on her hands as fragile as phyllo dough, the veins showing livid purple and the blue-green of old tattoos. Though it is true, her hands have always been this way.“You have such beautiful big veins,” I recall six-year-old Karen telling my mother. Maybe it was during one of the weekends Karen's mother and my mother, not yet 33, drove a carful of kids out to Westhampton, to an out-of-rental-season house along the beach road. The house had many wooden decks, it was always cold, and our first night there, I told my mom to add more water to the Lipton chicken soup mix; that it was too salty. Turned out there was salt water in the taps. It was the 70s, when kids were expected to stay outside until after dark and take out our own splinters, of which the decks supplied many. We slept in sandy beds while, my mother later told me, Karen's mom went to the bar and brought home this or that new friend. My mother did not do this; she was not much of a drinker, though these were the days when parents did things we absorbed without understanding: the white lie about why dad had not come home, the woman's voice that woke me late one August night in a different rental house, and my knowing her cries, which I at first mistook for the howls of a cat, had something to do with her husband and my mother.“Mom, do you remember going to Westhampton?” I ask her now, interrupting her trying to eat a piece of chicken with a straw. She says yes and allows me to swap in a fork, it's amazing how much she eats and yet keeps shrinking, 30 pounds gone since last fall, her legs not much more than long bones now. I've asked the nurses how this happens; how she burns so many calories while hardly moving.Or hardly moving but for her hands, ever looking for something to fix, folding and refolding a cloth, picking a shred of cheese from her blouse, holding my right hand in both of hers and pumping up and down for four minutes. I cannot glean the reasoning here, just as I could not see why, in the month before he died, my father held my wrist and stared in otherworldly fascination at my watch-face for 20 minutes. I asked my resolutely unspiritual (unless you count basketball and opera) math-savant dad, then, whether he was between here and some other next place. He considered this. “I think so,” he said. And was it okay? Yes, he said; it was. What else can I tell you about my mother? That the only picture she carries in her purse is one of herself. That the orange VW bug she drove us around in as kids had a bike rack and a ski rack and a bumper sticker that read, “Lacrosse: The Fastest Game on Two Feet.” That she used to wake up my brother and me by singing, “Everybody was kung fu fighting!” That when she walked, which she can no longer do, it was faster than any of us, she was ever in motion; even when she slept, she rocked and rocked and woke up in the mornings with her hair all ruched on one side. She also talked so fast that my father said, if he weren't around her for a few weeks, he couldn't understand her; that he could not keep up.What sentences my mother starts now usually trail off. She does not seem bothered by this. We are past the being bothered years, the taking mom's word for things years, the hiding the car keys and then disconnecting the battery years, the calling the oil company to see if I can wrest back some the excess $11,000 mom has sent, mailing check after check in an attempt to stay on top of her bills. It brings me no joy to see the fight gone out of her, while understanding, it makes it easier, in some ways, for the rest of us.My favorite thing to do now is to make her smile. She is always happy to see me, to see my brother, my daughter. She knows us still, though sometimes she will say, to me, "It's been so long since I've seen Nancy."But then, she can surprise. "You have a skirt on," she tells me, just now. Also, "I'd like to know in advance..." before looking back at the TV. My mother, who never watched television, is now enamored of cop shows, "Law & Order SUV" and "Chicago PD.""That's my guy," she told me, as recently as three months ago, of Jason Beghe."This was less than a year ago," my daughter says, sending a video of my mother half-running to greet her. There will be no more running, not after the broken hip. The previous rehab facility was gruesome, garbage on the floors, an orderly yelling that his paycheck wasn't available. The staff where she is now is cheerful and attentive, and I try, as I did when looking at my mother's hands, to find the beauty: the woman two doors down cooing in German to a plastic baby doll. P., her lipstick perfectly applied, waiting in her wheelchair by the nurses' station like a real-life Delta Dawn.My mother has buried three husbands, none of whom took the slow leave taking. My dad had lunch at his assisted living facility and, while talking to the nurses, went weak-kneed. They were tucking him in bed and, he dipped. Very elegant. My stepdad died after a short hospitalization. I was with him and, as I wrote, “There was so much beauty at the moment of death, near audible like a sip through a straw rushing into the night, the skin on his face going taut in an instant, and the color of beeswax.” My mother's last husband shrank and shrank from leukemia, my mother was with him when he died. Afterwards, she told me, she fell on her hands and knees into a snow-bank and shouted to the air, "I can't do this!" But she could. If I had a dollar for everyone who's ever said to me, "Your mother is a force of nature," I would have enough to buy her a fine steak dinner, though it might be wasted on her."The first time I took her out, she ordered a steak well done," my dad would say, insinuating, it had almost been a dealbreaker. What can I tell you about my mother? That she painted super-graphic stripes, including up and around a set of pocket doors, down the long hallway of our apartment. That she was a very good tennis player. That she grew up working-class on Long Island and wound up traveling the world. That at 25 she lost her own mother, a Greek immigrant who had my mother at 17, and missed her every day. I am hoping that whatever next place my dad saw, my mother gets to meet her mother there."I'm going to go now, Mom," I tell her tonight, and she forms her first sentence in three hours. "Is there enough?" she asks, and I don't know how to answer. This is a public episode.
