Nagising silang lahat noon at inihanda ang kanilang lampara. Sinabi ng mga hangal sa matatalino: ‘Bigyan naman ninyo kami ng inyong langis dahil mahina na ang ningas ng aming lampara.' Sumagot ang matatalino: ‘Baka kulangin ang langis para sa amin at para sa inyo. Mabuti pang pumunta kayo sa mga nagtitinda at bumili para sa inyo.' Nakaalis na sila para bumili nang dumating ang nobyo; ang mga handa na ay sumama sa nobyo sa kasalan, at isinara ang pinto. Pagkatapos ay saka dumating ang iba pang mga dalaga at tumawag: ‘Panginoon, Panginoon, pagbuksan mo kami!' Ngunit sumagot siya: ‘Talagang sinasabi ko sa inyo: hindi ko kayo kilala.' Kaya magbantay kayo sapagkat hindi ninyo alam ang araw o ang oras.”   Pagninilay: Isinulat ni Fr. Anthony Capirayan ng Society of St. Paul ang pagninilay sa ebanghelyo.  Mga kapatid, sa oras na lilisanin na natin ang mundong ito at haharap na tayo sa Panginoon, masasabi kaya natin na puno-punong ang lampara ng ating buhay ng langis? —langis ng pagmamahal, Langis ng pagiging bukas-palad, langis ng pagtitiwala sa Diyos, langis ng pagpapatawad, langis ng pagiging magpagpasalamat, at langis ng mga mabubuting gawa.  Sana maghanda at magsumikap tayong lagyan ng langis ang ating buhay araw-araw upang patuloy itong nagliliwanag.  Nang sa ganoon, pagdating ng panahon na tayo ay kakatok doon sa pintuan sa langit, hindi itatanong sa atin ng Panginoon, “Sino kayo?”, kundi bubuksan niya nang malawak ang pintuan at sasabihing, “Pasok kayo.”

From drinking and smoking pot by age thirteen, and doing meth by fifteen, it's amazing anyone could live a normal life and function.  But that's exactly what Marco Langis, did. He was a functional addict for a great amount of his life. Working, and parenting was all part of his daily existence, but because he was still using meth, he admits he was never on top of his game, not matter how well he thought he hid it.The love of a woman, whom he had loved since his early twenties, finally pulled him out of the spiralling, and hiding that was Marco's norm , with a last chance ulitmatum. But it was also her autistic son, who showed Marco new possibilities. Now in his mid fifties, Marco hasn't used meth or even had one set back in over a decade. His work with Autism Spectrum Athletics, in the Los Angeles area, has changed his life. Working with the children and being on the Board of Directors for this non-profit, has brought new purpose to his life, and given him numerous opportunities to give back.
