His derisory bids for Marouane Fellaini and Leighton Baines after he moved to United soured his relationship with Evertonians. But, with time proving just what a good job he did at Goodison Park, has that frostiness cooled? Equally, are Blues taking Rafa Benitez, who used to go up against Moyes when he was in charge of Liverpool, closer to their hearts? Both questions are discussed by Sam, Gav and Prenno, who held an exclusive interview with Benitez for the Liverpool ECHO this week, which you can read by clicking the links below. And it has been a squad effort, with Jurgen Klopp having used 26 players in Liverpool's unbeaten nine-game run to start the campaign. And one player who has certainly taken his chance to shine is Kostas Tsimikas, who is already well on his way to surpassing the seven appearances he made in his debut season at Anfield. Zhengzhou, a central Chinese city, with 10,000,000 inhabitants has been paralysed by record-breaking floods and more rain in one day than it usually gets in a year. So how the climate crisis be tackled? We get analysis from Micheal Mann, distinguished professor of atmospheric science at Penn State University and the author of The New Climate War. Also in the programme, UNESCO has decided to strip Liverpool of World Heritage status, saying new developments resulted in a "serious deterioration" of the historic site. But do these titles mean that much to a city's prospects or prosperity? We get analysis from Liam Thorp of the Liverpool Echo newspaper. And Peter Jankovskis brings us the latest news from the financial markets.

A couple claims to be haunted by a ghost who sleeps in their bed and watches television with them.According to Michael Lee, who spoke to the Liverpool Echo, the uncanny event began with footsteps creeping towards them across the bed. He claims that the spirit has become more at ease and now sleeps across the bed from him, his husband, Blake Lee, and their cat Maggie in Southport, Merseyside. The pair believes the presence is that of a dog and is convinced that it has no intention of harming them. Wind back to 2018, and Liverpool spent more heavily in the transfer market than they ever had before. Backed in part by the £143m deal that had seen Philippe Coutinho move to Barcelona six months earlier - though £75m of that had already been splashed on Virgil van Dijk - Liverpool then went and signed Alisson Becker, Fabinho, Naby Keita and Xherdan Shaqiri for a combined total of around £170m. But they could very easily have spent another £52m, having been minutes away from a transfer being announced for French attacking midfielder Nabil Fekir. So, for this special podcast, Matt Addison is joined by Kristian Walsh, who was working on the Liverpool ECHO's sports desk at the time, Spanish football writer Andrew Miller, who specialises in Real Betis, the club that Fekir plays for now, and finally Jonathan Johnson, a French football expert who gives the view from Lyon, as they explain why the deal collapsed, and how that has impacted the player himself and Liverpool since. Certainly, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool could have taken a very different path had they pressed ahead with a move for the number 10...Get exclusive podcasts direct to your inbox every week for FREE by joining the Blood Red Club. A mother of two is found bludgeoned to death in a suspected burglary gone wrong. The attack is barbaric. Blood spatter covers the ceiling. But in spite of the carnage, only a small sum of money has been stolen. Is a woman's life really worth the £100 that was reported missing? The attack shocks the quiet suburban neighbourhood as police struggle to find a suspect. Is this really a random attack, or is someone closer to home responsible?...
