Liverpool head coach Arne Slot provides the latest injury updates on Mohamed Salah and Alisson Becker ahead of the Reds Super Sunday clash against North West rivals Manchester United. 00:00 intro 00:12 on Salah: He is usually fitter than others, so we expect him back for the final part of the season. Not for tomorrow. 1:00 On Alisson available: Alisson hasn't trained with us yet, I will find out today if he can today or start of next week. 2:15 Slot on Manchester United: We are aware it is a big game, not only because it's United, but also for Champions League and highest possible position in the league. We wanted to win it, not possible, so we want to try and finish as high as possible." 3:12 Slot on United: “They are showing how good they are in the table, it's an advantage they play once a week but when I analyse them, I see how good they are. They have become under Carrick more consistent in their results." 4:03 Slot on tactics: “if they are working hard and executing tactics. It's not how I spend my time seeing if I am judged harshly." 7:24 Slot on whether he feels he's been harshly judged: "I think that's for you guys to judge. That's not up to me. I'm not in this job to criticise if I'm judged too harshly." 8:11 Slot on if team is performing at right level now: No. I think we can be performing at a higher level. Results have been good but it's not been our best three performances this season 9:32 On back room staff: We look at players and staff to improve the club, we keep our eyes open. It could be a player but also a staff member. We look at where we can strengthen." 10:30 Slot on Jones: He has taken [right-back] on very well, not perfect but who is perfect? He has hardly played it in his career, but the way he does it is a big compliment. He was even better defensively v Palace than Everton, which makes sense, 11:48 slot on old Trafford performance: “think every week we need to prove ourselves, me and the players. Not only when we play Man Utd, it's Fulham, Palace...we have to prove ourselves every three days. We know this, people judge. It's up to others to judge, not me." 13:13 Slot on Kerkez: “Milos has had some niggles. Left training on Wednesday but I expect him to train today or tomorrow” 14:33 Slot on Isak: “we can bring him in the positions he prefers. It's helpful for him to get fitter. A game is 95 minutes, full throttle, constant running, so being fit is quite important." 15:48 Slot on writz: His improvement, he was already an elite player, has been for me obvious. It will only continue. He is 23 on Sunday. That makes sense, every player is at his best at 25/26, he can only become better. That is the beauty of the signings we made.” 17:37 END @HaytersTV – Football Up Close. HalliHallo! Ach ja: Und RTL darf jetzt offiziell Sky übernehmen! Instagram: http://www.instagram.com/die_0_muss_stehen/ Kicktipp: https://www.kicktipp.de/die0mussstehenbuli

Arne Slot has shared the latest injury updates on his Liverpool squad ahead of their Emirates FA Cup quarter-final clash with Manchester City. He provided updates on Jeremie Frimpong, Alexander Isak, Mohamed Salah, and Alisson Becker. 00:00 intro 00:15 Slot on Salah;he fit? Yes, he is. Trained y'day and today, he's available 1:10 slot on boost of Salah announcement: I hope he could give even more but that is not realistic because he gave all he had. If we have a Mo in the form he's been in in so many years that will be a big help for us." 2:16 Big games ahead: Unfortunately the one game play tomorrow was the worst in the sense of our big games. Of course some refereeing decisions in that but they were much better than us [at the Etihad in November]. We have good players and can play very good football. 3:43 Slot on Isak: We'll be too soon to expect him in the starting lineup, first time training y'day after 101 days out, it will take a bit of time 4:50 big games: unfortunately one game we playing tomorrow was one of the worst we lost 3-0 and referee decisions that made it harder for us. 7:10 Doku unplayable: I did my homework quite well for this game but the year before he was even better I wouldn't be sure he would be able to do that another time but we learn from that. 8:44 Slot on Alisson: Yeah, he will not be part of the PSG game either, out for a bit longer. Towards the end of the season we expect him to be fit. Frimpong trained with us and seems to be Ok 10:00 Slot on Isak bench possibility: It's a difficult one, we don't play a 'normal' game, could go to extra time, which makes it difficult if he can only play 10 minutes. 12:55 Slot on Man City games: We have more fans than normal because it is FA Cup and I wouldn't be susprised if we're louder than them." 14:11 END @HaytersTV – Football Up Close. Musa and Ryan begin with an amazing result for Liverpool, who scored with their second shot to come back from Paris with a 1-0 lead against a PSG side who were brilliant, but came up against a mighty Alisson Becker performance (02:52). Bayern are all but through, after a 3-0 win on what was a very disappointing night for Xabi Alonso's Leverkusen (10:10). Barcelona held out for a 1-0 win in Lisbon, despite being down to ten for 70 minutes (15:22) and Inter beat Feyenoord in Rotterdam, where Lautaro Martínez became their all-time leading Champions League scorer (22:04). Hello Rank Squad! It's time for Champions League Takeaway, your late night delivery following the action - following the first legs of the Round of 16, where we saw a lot of favourites come out on top, but perhaps not in the way we expected! Wednesday night saw Bayern's 3-0 demolition of Leverkusen - did Xabi Alonso overthink this one? - as well as Liverpool dropping an all-timer of a smash and grab job against PSG, where Alisson Becker gave a masterclass in the Redmen net. Barcelona also showed their versatility by beating Benfica with 10 men, whilst Inter were incredibly mature (and kept ANOTHER clean sheet) in a fairly routine 2-0 win over Feyenoord at De Kuip. In Part Two we move onto Tuesday's action, starting with a topsy-turvy Madrid derby that saw three wondergoals - and Real Madrid taking a narrow 2-1 advantage over city rivals Atletico Madrid - thanks to some magical footwork from Brahim Diaz. We also chat through Arsenal's demolition of PSG where the Gunners reloaded the ammunition tank to score seven after back-to-back blanks; Aston Villa's 3-1 win over Club Brugge where they were perhaps a little fortunate the scoreline looks so pleasant; and Dortmund dropping off to allow Lille to fight back for a 1-1 draw at the Westfalenstadion. It's Ranks! And remember, if you'd like more from the Rank Squad, including extra podcasts every Monday and Friday (including our weekly Postbox taking a look at the whole weekend of football) and access to our brilliant Discord community, then why not join us here on Patreon?

In the 1-0 loss to Liverpool FC, Paris Saint-Germain somehow proved they belong to be mentioned among the elite clubs in Europe while also succumbing to the same old script that has plagued them for years in the UEFA Champions League. On this episode of PSG Talking, I'm joined by Drew to break down the disappointing defeat to Liverpool in the first leg of the Round of 16 tie. The show begins with a discussion of Luis Enrique's starting lineup. Did the manager get it right, or should he have considered making a change? The atmosphere at the Parc des Princes was special, and PSG used that energy to put Liverpool under pressure early and often. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia scored a brilliant curling shot for PSG, but Kvara's calf and foot were just offside. We discuss PSG's tactics and the fast start to the match.Shortly after Kvara's offside goal, Ibrahima Konaté appeared to push Bradley Barcola from behind just before he ran into the Liverpool penalty area. After the VAR check, Konaté did not receive a red card, and play went on. We talk about the decision and whether the officials got it right. In the second half, PSG continued their dominating performance but simply could not beat Alisson Becker. The Liverpool goalkeeper made several spectacular saves and, in total, kept a clean sheet despite facing 10 total shots on target. As if that wasn't enough, in the 86th minute, Arne Slot took off Mohamed Salah and replaced him with Harvey Elliott, and a minute later, he took Liverpool's only shot on target and scored. We discuss whether one PSG player is to blame for the goal or if it was a collective failure. We conclude the show by looking ahead to the return leg next Tuesday. Can PSG complete the comeback against the Premier League leaders? Is it better from a mentality standpoint that PSG is down a goal? We share our scoreline and how we think this tie will end.As always, thank you for listening. Be sure to subscribe and rate the show wherever you download your podcasts.
