The Word of the Day is Perspective (0:00-12:37) The presence of three NFL games on Christmas Day, coupled with the Philadelphia Eagles' popularity, leads Tyrone to believe that the league might schedule the Eagles for a Christmas Day matchup. A highly anticipated game would be against the Dallas Cowboys, although the Buffalo Bills or Kansas City Chiefs could also serve as compelling alternatives. (12:37-20:46) Tyrone does not claim to possess greater football knowledge than Eagles Head Coach Nick Sirianni. He asserts that while Sirianni can be scrutinized, no one is likely to have a deeper understanding of the game. Currently, some media outlets are advocating for a ban on the Tush Push, arguing that its aesthetics are absurd. (20:46-30:56) We persist in discussing the possible changes to NFL rulings. Following that, we turn to text messages to further engage in conversation about the Phillies and the NFL. (30:56-40:52) Tyrone discusses the necessity of compensating certain players when the appropriate time arrives. In Dallas, there is often a strategic approach to contract negotiations. The latest player in this scenario is Micah Parsons, and the Dallas organization is exhibiting its typical behavior regarding contract discussions. Paul and Wally discuss the latest on HB 11, formerly known as Paid Family & Medical Leave. A bill to raise alcohol taxes died in committee (HB 417). Are alcohol taxes dead for the session? Speaking of which, the tax bill is/could be the biggest bill yet to drop this session. It could STILL include this and other tax policies and be rammed through by session end. Democrats in the House Energy Committee rejected another opportunity to reform EV rules by overturning MLG's mandate. Bipartisan support for a Medicaid Trust Fund? What does it mean? Paul attempted to testify (virtually) against HB 6. Why and what happened? Today is the 5th anniversary of MLG's first COVID public health emergency. Paul and Wally look at that legacy and the recent NM supreme court decision to ratify it and other emergencies like her anti-gun emergency. Paul will be in Alamogordo on the day of March 26 and we have an exciting event on New Mexico's medical shortage that evening in ABQ as well: Darren White is the latest addition to the Albuquerque Mayoral race. Can anyone knock off Tim Keller?

An "exit strategy" is being sought for County Clare with regard to the use of tourist accommodation for Ukrainian refugees and International Protection Applicants. This week's meeting of Clare County Council has heard several councillors request a "clear plan and timeline" for the return of tourist beds to the tourism market, as well a "recovery and investment plan" for areas where businesses have suffered due to beds being taken out of the market. Tabled by Lisdoonvarna Fine Gael Councillor Joe Garrihy, Doonbeg Fianna Fáil Councillor Rita McInerney, Ennistymon Fianna Fáil Councillor Shane Talty and Sixmilebridge Fine Gael Councillor John Crowe, the motion was framed as critical for the survival of Clare's tourism economy. The four councillors had two main asks, one of which was that Integration Minister Roderick O'Gorman instruct his department and IPAS to "set a clear plan and timeline that will return hotels and tourist accomodations that have been used in Clare to house refugees through an emergency period to the tourist market". In addition, the motion called on Tourism Minister Catherine Martin, along with Clare Tourism to "ensure a recovery and investment plan aligns" so the most affected areas and businesses are "supported in the transition phase". Councillor Garrihy insists Minister O'Gorman must take swift action for the benefit of everyone in this county.

Can you believe it's been six months since Austinmas??? Anyway, it has. A very big thank you to those who joined us on the live stream this weekend -and for all the birthday wishes. During the show, Austin and I Looked back over what hit and what didn't these past six months. Explored some of the wider contexts of Pluto in Aquarius and what it has to do with Uranus. Tabled some scenarios for current events in Eastern Europe. Looked at the forecast for the rest of this year. Unpacked, in particular, the upcoming Venus Retrograde and how we can be with that on an individual and collective level. Answered some fun questions from the live chat at the end. Named several peacocks. You can, of course, listen to this audio version or you can watch along on YouTube below. Because it is a live show I put some slides together but, as always, they are not in the least bit necessary. (This is my long-running performance piece about how that is true of all slides in every professional setting anywhere.) Either way, enjoy!
