After 16 years UC Irvine Assistant Coach Mark Presho is retiring from NCAA Men's Volleyball. In those years UCI has become known as a volleyball powerhouse with 4 National Championships, 24 All-Americans, 35 and All-Conference honorees-- all under Coach Presho's watch. In this episode, "Presh" discusses his reason for retiring now, the impacts he has had on the UCI program and his ability to do well in a significantly lesser amount of time from a traditional assistant. Even after a head coaching change in 2012, he stayed on board to add the 4th National Championship in 2013. To close out the episode we look at some of his memorable players, what others who know "Presh" have said on social media and a mashup of former coaching staff members' well wishes and/or memories with Presh.

Mitch and Matt hear from BYU coach Mark Pope on the ending of their season. Pope had a video call with media on Thursday and gave his feelings on what the season has meant to him and his players. Matt mentions the other sports that are affected by the Coronavirus, like Men's Volleyball and Track and Field, who were having great seasons. The NCAA has granted additional eligibility to spring sports athletes and is considering doing the same for winter sports as well. The poll of the day is whether or not seniors from winter sports should have another year of eligibility. Pope talked about this on Thursday and said that he suspects that his seniors would consider coming back. The guys consider what next year's team would look like if seniors could come back next year.

Dr. Andrea Becker is an Assistant Professor at Sacramento State where she teaches courses in sport psychology such as Psychological Aspects of Peak Performance and Sport and Exercise Psychology. She also serves as an Assistant Coach (the Sport Psych Coach) for the USA Men’s Volleyball and traveled to the Rio Olympics with the team. Andrea completed her Ph.D. in Sport Psychology at the University of Tennessee and her dissertation was on the psychology of coaching. She has published research articles examining great coaches including legendary coach, Pat Summit.
