Hello to you listening in Gondomar, Galicia, Spain!Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Motivate Your Monday and your host, Diane Wyzga.I am often asked how to begin the next story chapter of life when there's no clear path ahead. In truth, we really don't see the path so much as we make the path while walking it.But that might be little comfort in the beginning when you're standing at the crossroads. In my experience choosing a direction and setting out with curiosity and determination - taking that first step - perhaps the one we don't want to take - is the key that opens the way ahead.Following are several visionary questions for you. Choose the one that speaks to where you are right now and invite it to walk along with you like friends on a trail: 1. What story are you meant to tell that only you living your life with your wisdom and your experiences could tell?2. Imagine you're looking back at yourself as an elder woman - content, satisfied, knowing you got it right. What would you say made it all worthwhile?3. What delighted you, intrigued you, fed your curiosity when you were younger than you are now? 4. Who were you before you learned you were supposed to worry that money doesn't grow on trees?Sometimes the most powerful questions are the ones that help us discover who we really are beneath all the "shoulds" and practical concerns. Reconnecting with your truest self after years of layered expectations and external pressures comes from trusting what you know rather than adding more information or strategies.CTA: If you're curious about how to stop trying to figure it all out and start honoring what you already know, email me at info@quartermoonstoryarts.net to arrange a free Discovery Call with me, your story doula. And thank you for listening! You're always welcome: "Come for the stories - Stay for the magic!" In this solo episode of The Shoulder Physio Podcast, Dr Jared Powell explores a deceptively simple question: How much benefit does rotator cuff surgery need to provide to be considered worthwhile? Jared explores a new 2025 study by Harrison Hansford and colleagues, which uses a clever benefit–harm trade-off approach to quantify what patients actually want from surgery. This episode challenges the way we interpret research, the limits of "statistical significance," and the need for truly patient-centred decision-making. If you're still recommending surgery after failed physio without asking what makes it worthwhile to the person in front of you, this one's for you. Key topics include: The concept of the smallest worthwhile effect Is “does it work?” the wrong question? Shared decision-making and expectation alignment How the evidence stacks up (or doesn't) Why patient-defined outcomes matter more than p-values Check out the Shoulder Physio Online Course here Connect with Jared: Jared on Instagram: @shoulder_physio Jared on X: @jaredpowell12 See our Disclaimer here: The Shoulder Physio - Disclaimer

Stuart Dunbar is a Partner at Baillie Gifford, based in Edinburgh, where he has worked since 2003. He previously held a range of institutional marketing roles, but before that there were some unexpected interests and pursuits. We start there, with his move to Hong Kong and some of the cultural differences that he perceived when working overseas more broadly, much of them to do with self-confidence and presence in the workplace. We move then to discussing the evolving shape of institutional investing and how asset managers can adapt to changing investor needs. We speak about predicting the shape of future demand, seeing where the puck is moving to, and changing how asset managers work with clients. Some of this is the consultative approach, some of this is simply adapting to changing needs. We also discuss the future of active asset management more broadly.Thank you to GCM Grosvenor and Resolute Investment Managers, Inc. for sponsoring Series 3 of 2025.GCM Grosvenor is a global alternative asset management firm with a longstanding commitment to supporting small, emerging, and diverse investment managers. This week we discuss the removal of Pete Rose from the ineligible list for baseball and his potential inclusion. Do we ultimately think he deserves a spot or should his punishment remain in perpetuity? For our This Week In Baseball, we discuss the Joe Cronin hitting his 3rd three-run home run in 4 pinch hit at-bats in 1943. We use this a segue to speaking about player mangers, their history, how it worked, and if we think it would ever be one again and why.Our Hall of Famer this week is pitcher Early Wynn. He was a 300 game winner, but was that enough to earn him our blessings for the Hall of Fame?In our singlular parting shot his week we eulogize Denise, mine and Josh's mom and and our father Frank's wife and best friend who died on May 25th. We move onto safety in our NFL Draft position preview series as two realistic possibilities for the Eagles in round 1 loom with Georgia's Malaki Starks and South Carolina's Nick Emmanwori could be part of the replacement plan for C.J. Gardner-Johnson alongside Reed Blankenship and Sydney Brown. But this is a deep class of safeties, with intriguing options later in the draft like Xavier Watts, Jonas Sanker, Kevin Winston Jr., Andrew Mukuba, Jaylen Reed and Billy Bowman Jr. Shawn Syed of Sumer Sports joins Fran Duffy and Bo Wulf to decipher who seems most like a Vic Fangio guy.

Nick O'Hern and Mark Allen have worn FootJoy their entire career, and given we do the pod from FootJoy and Titleist HQ we thought we'd grab the FootJoy Product Manager for Australia & New Zealand, Chris Patterson, to have a chinwag about golf shoes generally, trends, and some of what they've got coming. We discussed exactly what Chris does at FootJoy, and what he looks for when decided what to range for these markets. Chris talks about current trends in golf shoes, both for 'normal' golfers and Tour Pros. He runs us through some of the current range, and gives a sneak peak at a shoe coming out later in 2025....Nick and Mark are VERY excited for it.Mark asks what the key differences are between a normal shoe and a golf shoe, and why it is important. Nick asks how golf shoes have changed over the years. Is a shoe fitting beneficial? Clearly for tour pros it makes sense, but what about us normies? Chris talks to that.Mark is curious as to whether ball speed can be influenced by your golf shows, and Chris tells us about Justin Thomas and Cam Young and what has happened to their ball speed since changing shoes. Extraordinary.Nick and Mark both love the MyJoy concept and Nick asks what are some of the craziest things Chris has seen?A fascinating chat with Chris, the FootJoy Product Manager, and a great reminder of why FootJoy are the number one shoe (and glove) in golf.We do the show from Titleist and FootJoy HQ, thanks to our great partners:Titleist, the #1 ball in golf;FootJoy, the #1 shoe and glove in golf;PING will help you play your best.
