Truck Nutz is a brand name for the dangling plastic testicles some people affix to the bumpers or hitches of their vehicles. Also sold as Bulls Balls, Your Nutz, and other brand names, these plastic novelties have a powerful symbolic charge and are often associated with a crass, macho, red state audience. But truck nuts are a surprisingly complicated signifier whose symbolic power is increasingly divorced from their real-world usage. On this episode, we talk to owners and users of truck nuts, investigate the origins of the accessories, and deconstruct the meaning of these oft-joked-about symbols. We'll also take a tour of other novelty testicle products, including Bike Balls (testicular bike lights), Gunsticles (plastic testicles for guns), and Neuticles (prosthetic testicles for neutered pets), to better understand the maligned symbolism of truck nuts. Season 2 of In The Vet's Office starts with a bang as Dr. Josie sits down with celebrity hair colorist Justin Anderson who you may know from "Very Cavallari" and Kristen Cavallari's "Let's Be Honest" podcast. This lively conversation dives deep into the quirks of pet parenting, as Dr. Josie shares her “Case of the Week” involving a dog owner who insisted on getting their dog neuticles (yes, dog implants!) before agreeing to a neutering. Justin brings plenty of humor and curiosity as he asks all about his beloved pups, Clark and Kevin, and confesses to taking one of his dog's trazodone pills in a pinch. Dr. Josie doesn't hold back in explaining why that's a dangerous move. Grab your pet and tune in for laughs, learning, and loads of pet-loving fun in this must-hear season opener! In the season four opener Sarcastro brings an article to the table to discuss with the group about replacing conventional livestock like beef or pork in favor of eating pythons (at least according to a theory spurred from a guy in Australia). Commando gets a dissapointing dessert at a diner. Banky provides an update on the Pup Jarvis and the fact that he didn't get Neuticles for the Pup. Sarcastro shares his poor choices of taking Prince Sarcastro and his soccer team to see Kong x Godzilla and it was about as glorious as he had hoped it would be. The group helps Corporal decide between two movies to see over the weekend by not making a decision for him at all. Fatty starts fitting his own knife blanks with custom made handles and Sarcastro wants him to start forging the knives from scratch. Intro and Outro music written and performed by Andrés Rodríguez (Androzguitar).

Hello babies! We're stepping into the New Year by trying out some new styles. Who cares if we need to get fully undressed to pee every 45 minutes? In addition to refreshing our wardrobes, we're also giving our timelines a refresh by subscribing to some new Subreddits. On Chunch Chat, we discuss a very pixelated gecko. And on Wiki of the Week, we read the Wikipedia page for "Neuticles," prosthetic testicular implants for neutered dogs and other domestic animals. Humans cannot legally get Neuticles, but I'm consulting a lawyer regarding the legality of having authentic dog testicles implanted.

Missouri Business Alert’s Speaking Startup podcast explores news and issues important to Missouri entrepreneurs. In our latest episode, we ask the question, "Your startup does what?" We talk with entrepreneurs behind some of the most unusual Missouri-based companies we've encountered to learn about where their ideas came from and how they turned them into viable businesses. The rundown: • 1:20 – We look at headlines from the past week in Missouri startup news. • 3:08 – Strange Donuts founder Jason Bockman discusses the process involved in making doughnuts that push people outside of their culinary comfort zone. • 10:52 – Gregg Miller shares the story behind Neuticles, his business that he says has sold more than 500,000 sets of prosthetic dog testicles since its founding. • 17:27 – Andre Glantz, the CEO of Gift-A-Meal, discusses the St. Louis startup's app that aims to help restaurants by appealing to diners' altruism. • 25:33 – We swap numbers that shed light on niche startups.
How a dog lover near Kansas City, MO, came up with a product for neutered dogs to let them keep their “God given look.” Neuticles are testicular implants for dogs, though inventor Gregg Miller has made custom implants for a variety of other animals...including an elephant. It’s made him a multi-millionaire, even though Neuticles are “banned in three countries.” Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

Hey there TVTP fans, and welcome to Episode 22 of the Two Vets Talk Pets Podcast. We're back face to face, and loosened up with some of the Mountain Goat Brewery's finest, for some fine afternoon podcasting. Lewis has some tips for people getting bugged by their cats demanding food (using cat feeders with timers, like this one). Robbie has had 2 cases of FIV in the last week, and asks cat owners to check with their vets to see if their cats need protection. Lewis finds an article finding a possible link to grain free food to heart disease in dogs. Robbie finds out about the celebrity face of Neuticles. Lewis finds an inappropriately coloured needle in a Botox ad (See below!), Robbie talks about jogging with dogs, and Lewis talks about Lassie. After another stunning rendition of the disclaimer from April (fresh from her successful audition for her year 4 school play), Lewis runs a fine tooth comb through the latest edition of the Journal of Veterinary Behaviour. We talk about a very interesting article outlining risk factors of dog bites in France, and a really interesting article looking at the magical effects of Placebo. Finally we crack open the mailbag and think about whether cats are getting enough water. Reach out and get in touch with us on Instagram , Facebook or Twitter. Email us at twovetstalkpets@gmail.com If you have any questions, comments, or any nice recipes, let us know. Especially a nice pastry recipe. Lewis loves pastries... --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/twovetstalkpets/message
