Anugraha, which we translate oftentimes as mercy, literally means someone who grabs you and takes you in the right direction—brings you along, doesn't leave you behind. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu taught that Kṛṣṇa not only can become known, or that He reveals Himself through the process of bhakti, but He also takes us by the hand and brings us to our eternal position in the spiritual world. So, chanting is a communion with Kṛṣṇa, because He is non-different from His name. Therefore, when we're chanting Kṛṣṇa's names, we're worshiping Him by our tongue—āsyenedam upāsya (Śrī Nāmāṣṭaka verse 6), which means āsya means the mouth or the opening of the mouth, and āsyenedam is in the instrumental case, which means that we're using our mouth to upāsya, which means to worship Kṛṣṇa. By that process, Kṛṣṇa extends Himself to us, reveals Himself to us, and brings us along—anugraha. So, chanting is a very natural process, because if anyone has had any experience here in the material world and has at any time felt helpless, confused, or—I'm thinking of a third, anyone want to offer? Disturbed?—then there's a natural sense of calling out: "Please help me." So, we can take it that this is a very personal connection with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Kṛṣṇa, by repeating His names and the mantra: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare / Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare refers to Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of God, and also His eternal consort, His female counterpart. The two go together, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa; they're the perfect whole in two, and so everything's complete within the mantra. All perfection can be achieved by chanting the mantra, and here we are, in the middle of Silicon Valley, practicing the age-old process of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa so feel free to call out to Kṛṣṇa when you chant. "Please engage me in your service, and please save me from this ocean of material existence."

I have noticed that in the Kali Yuga, although the last pillar supposedly is truthfulness, that seems to have been eroding quite quickly. I have noticed, however, that oftentimes people make public statements in a political setting, but then, when they're under deposition, they completely change their story because they know that in deposition under oath, you're liable for telling the truth and can be held accountable for it. Well, those brave souls who are accepting initiation are putting themselves under scrutiny. Freedom requires responsibility. rāga-dveṣa-vimuktais tu viṣayān indriyaiś caran ātma-vaśyair vidheyātmā prasādam adhigacchati Kṛṣṇa says in the Bhagavad Gītā (BG 2.64), "If you want to be free, you have to take responsibility. You have to be vigilant to maintain freedom." Supposedly, one of our statesmen—although it may be apocryphal—said this about maintaining freedom in democracy: It requires vigilance. So today, as you take your vows, you're making a stand against the eons of living in darkness and prevaricating in speech, and taking the path of the saints. mahat-sevāṁ dvāram āhur vimuktes tamo-dvāraṁ yoṣitāṁ saṅgi-saṅgam mahāntas te sama-cittāḥ praśāntā vimanyavaḥ suhṛdaḥ sādhavo ye Those who follow the saints, Ṛṣabhadeva (SB 5.5.2) says can enter into the door of liberation by following the footsteps of the great souls. So the chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa is what the great liberated souls do and what they advocate for. And today, when you take vows in front of the devotees, in front of Śrīla Prabhupāda and Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta, in front of your guru-varga, then you're taking responsibility for your advancement. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I was just thinking about when Prabhu and I first were getting to know each other—before we were even engaged, and obviously before we were married. Just the things that we had to learn about each other. One of the things that sticks in my mind is we lived in LA at the time, and we used to go down to the marina to take walks. He's a foot taller than me—or more than a foot taller than me—and he has got quite a leg span. So, I had to take quicker steps, and I noticed that he also changed his gait so that we could walk together comfortably. I think that's a little bit of what marriage is about: you are individuals, you do things differently, you may see things differently, you may communicate differently, but learning how to bring those things together is part of what makes a really successful marriage relationship. (Excerpt from the talk by HG Nirākulā Dāsī) The other thing that is foundational is the sound vibration. Because every environment, every realm, is defined by the sound vibration therein. Everybody has a soundtrack in his or her environment—or, together, you have a soundtrack. You can determine what your consciousness will be depending on that soundtrack. It is almost, seemingly, too obvious to state, but whatever you consume on a regular basis—whatever you're taking in through your eyes, through your ears—is what's going to be there within your heart. That's the science of the three modes of material nature: how the universe works, and how our consciousness is formed. So, considering any peaks and valleys, it can always be evened out, or we can always rise above those various changes in our lives by readjusting the sound. It's good to know because everyone goes through various challenges, and one of the main teachings in the Bhagavad-gītā that Kṛṣṇa gives is how to remain equipoised while we are facing challenges. It's the reveal of our true character—how we act under duress. Nobody can act civilly under duress unless they have purified their consciousness and that happens especially by purifying the transcendental sound vibration. That's why I like to say: if all else fails—and it will—chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. If you keep the that vibration going and make it ubiquitous in your lives, then you will always stay transcendental above the changes, or aloof enough from the changes to be methodical but dispassionate when you go through anything in your lives. It's just the nature of the world that there are various challenges, and one of the great opportunities to grow together is learning how to face those challenges together. You have to have a strategy ahead of time. Those who assume that there will be no challenges will be disappointed; but those who prepare for challenges will meet them, and those who meet them with the right means to adjust to them, grow in their relationships. If you consider advertising, how does it work? You have to repeat it. People say things over and over again. Also as mentioned, politically, if lies are repeated over and over again—enough times—then it just becomes an accepted idea from the repetition. So, that's conditioned life. I'm repeating to myself various false senses of myself. From the Rāmāyaṇa, we have this profound example: that Kaikeyī is transformed from a loving appreciator of Rāma to someone who envies him and fears him because of Mantharā's statements. She says it several times, makes several arguments. So, this is the repetition that's going on internally; we're taking it in externally. In this sense, the chanting of Hare Kṛṣṇa is a reorientation, and we repeat it: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare Again and again we're saying, "Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. Please engage me in Your service." The mind says, "I, me, my; I, me, my; I, me, my"—it's a lyric from a song—and we say, "Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare / Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare." We need that because the layering is thick. It's been for many, many lifetimes—the misconception that I'm the center. But here, we're putting Kṛṣṇa in the center, saying, "Kṛṣṇa, I'm Your servant. How may I serve You?" That's a great relief: to come to reality. So, we can consider this therapeutic. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Considering the desire of the soul to experience something that is pleasurable—because we're naturally pleasure-seekers—sac-cid-ānanda is our constitution. However, we're limited by the boundary of our own mind. People take intoxication to try to cross that boundary, but then they find themselves degraded. Although they may have a "peak experience" or they may loosen inhibitions—which is one of the ways that people enjoy intoxication, they feel less inhibited—in any case, one's trying to cross a boundary. Śrīla Prabhupāda mentions in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta that by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one may come to experience the sound of the mantra as being extraordinary. In other words, it's not routine; it's something that one's never heard before. This is the endeavor of most people: to try to enjoy something, they go to an amusement park to try to have an extraordinary experience—something that is outside of the ordinary. In fact: Ordinary: Comes from ordo, which means "according to order," or closely related with the idea of doing a routine—something you're used to doing according to an order.Extraordinary: Ex means "outside," and tra means "the state of something." So, extra means the state of being outside the ordinary. When you say "extraordinary," it means you've crossed the boundary of the order or the routine. The word mantra, of course, has those two parts: Man: The mind, which is the boundary-place we live in (a small place in our mind) and tra: can mean either a "tool" or trāyate, which means "to deliver." The mantra delivers us from the boundary of our mind. People say, "Well, that's fantastical! How could Kṛṣṇa expand Himself into 16,108 forms, accommodate His queens, and have palaces? That's not possible." This is because we are limited by the boundary of our own minds, and our perceptual horizon is not expanded enough to understand that. The mantra helps us to rise above the mind. When we have a peak experience in chanting, we would resemble what Prabhupāda mentions in his purport: you hear the sound and it is extraordinary. It's beyond what you have heard anywhere else. This is the point at which we may be attracted to the mantra. However, it requires practice, effort, and keeping the mind fixed on the mantra in order to experience such a thing. We may notice that the mind becomes bored because it considers the mantra to be "ordinary." It's helpful to cultivate knowledge that the mantra is not ordinary—it is Kṛṣṇa. It is our attention that becomes ordinary, and we take the mantra to be ordinary because we've not been able to focus on it. Because of rajas (passion), the mind is still seeking another peak experience: "It must be somewhere else." ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa

Chaitanya Mahāprabhu gave a condensed list of the great benefits of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, and one of them—śreyaḥ-kairava—is poetical. It is the "blooming of the lotus. What kind of lotus? Śreyaḥ?" It is, as we translate it, the White Lotus of Good Fortune. This word "fortune"—the tune part—comes from the word ten like in the word tendon which means to connect. It connects the bones and the muscles in the body; it holds together. It also means to stretch towards something. And the "for" part refers to wealth, good luck, and everything everyone is looking for in the world. I dare say why everyone is working hard: to come to a situation in which they have everything. Oftentimes, on book distribution, when I meet people and they ask why they should take the book, I say, "It'll bring you good fortune." And then I ask them, "Do you know where good fortune comes from?" Before they can answer—and usually they don't, because they hadn't thought about it—I say: "Well, it doesn't come from working harder, because some people work two or three jobs and they still don't have anything." I say "It comes from Kṛṣṇa, from the spiritual realm. These books connect you to that realm of good fortune." What Chaitanya Mahāprabhu is saying regarding the chanting of the Holy Name, śreyaḥ-kairava-candrikā-vitaraṇam, is that if you want to have good fortune in your life, then chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, because it is Kṛṣṇa directly. Prabhupāda used to say, and has written, that wherever Kṛṣṇa is, the Goddess of Fortune is there automatically. He told us: "If you want the Goddess of Fortune, you should always worship Kṛṣṇa." You cannot do it independently or try to have the Goddess of Fortune without Kṛṣṇa. Rāvaṇa tried that; it didn't work out very well. The way the mind works to find "good fortune"—thinking there must be something somewhere that will make me happy, where I'll have abundance and so forth—those are all futile attempts and vain searches. We are instead brought right to the very source of everything; in this case, good fortune itself. And that is being with Kṛṣṇa. One other thought I heard this morning while I was getting ready: Prabhupāda was talking about how Kṛṣṇa reciprocates with everyone. He said, "If you want something other than Kṛṣṇa, He'll accommodate you. But if you only want Kṛṣṇa, then He'll also reciprocate in that way." While chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, we have the opportunity of expressing our desire. Even if it is a small desire—it doesn't matter small or big, it's the same. The desire is: "Kṛṣṇa, I only want You." In that mood of chanting, if the mind wanders and thinks maybe there is something better somewhere else, because the chanting seems repetitious or boring, one can remember that the Holy Name is the source of everything. Everything the mind wants to "shop for" elsewhere comes from the Holy Name anyway, so I might as well stay here and be fully absorbed. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark

It's helpful to be relentless in your practice of devotional service, and it's quite natural to be unsteady in the beginning. Part of being relentless means you have to be willing to continue, even if you feel that you're not making that much progress. That requires evaṁ buddheḥ paraṁ buddhvā. You have to be situated in your intelligence at that point, because you may not have as much taste as you might need—and you get a lot of credit for staying a long time. In fact, my godbrother Puṣkar Prabhu was just telling me the other day: Śrīla Prabhupāda once commented when devotees were asking these types of questions (and they were brand new), he said, "Wait 50–60 years in your practice." He commented and said, "See who's still around in 50–60 years." Many people shoot up, and they may have various motives, and then they're huge—and then all of a sudden they're not there. But who's there in 50–60 years? One thing is to make a determination to continue no matter what. That's very important, because a "big shot" is just a "little shot" who kept on shooting. That's the case in almost all areas of discipline: somebody who just stuck with it. It's like, "That guy? How'd he get in here?" It's like, "he kept doing it. You guys quit." So, we have to keep going. sva-pāda-mūlaṁ bhajataḥ priyasya tyaktānya-bhāvasya hariḥ pareśaḥ vikarma yac cotpatitaṁ kathañcid dhunoti sarvaṁ hṛdi sanniviṣṭaḥ (SB 11.5.42) Kṛṣṇa favors those who continue. This verse says that if you just keep going—even though you keep doing stupid stuff and you think, "Why am I doing that?"—it's because you're still "stupid," but you're smart enough to keep going. That is a sign of sincerity. The sign of sincerity is that you keep going. Have you ever seen a little animal or a kid who's totally inept at something, or maybe they're even deformed or injured or whatever but they just keep trying? Everyone runs to them and says, "Help them! Help that one over there, they can't walk." You see people all the time; they adopt a little beagle that has no back legs, and then they'll get a skateboard and hook it up because they want to help them out. So Kṛṣṇa is like that. If we keep going, even though we're the worst of the worst, if you just keep going, then there's magic that happens from chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. We have to remember that Kṛṣṇa is all-powerful. nāma cintāmaṇiḥ kṛṣṇaś caitanya-rasa-vigrahaḥ pūrṇaḥ śuddho nitya-mukto 'bhinnatvān nāma-nāminoḥ There's no difference between Kṛṣṇa and His name. And He's transformative; He's cintāmaṇi. If you remember this, it's like: "I don't like the way my life is." All right, how about let's change it? What do you think? Yeah, good idea. How are you going to change it? Try YouTube? No—try chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. If you just keep trying it, because Kṛṣṇa and His name are non-different, you go to the reservoir and you just drink, and you don't have to do anything else. That's why: vāsudeve bhagavati bhakti-yogaḥ prayojitaḥ janayaty āśu vairāgyaṁ jñānaṁ ca yad ahaitukam It happens quickly when you chant—do something direct. Chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, it is transformative. So, keep going to that reservoir that changes everything. Who changes everything? It's Kṛṣṇa. He's the cintāmaṇi stone. Don't give up on it. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?

See, how yajña works! You do a little something, and the next thing you know, food's coming in your door. That happened with Mṛgāri the hunter. He was hunting, and he thought, "I can only make my living this way." And Nārada Muni came along and said, "No, no, I'll show you a better way. Just break your bow." "I can't break my bow!" He said, "No, go ahead—do it." So Mṛgāri broke his bow, and then he just started doing little programs at his house; he had a bhajana going on. And the next thing, he was complaining to Nārada Muni. He said, "It's too much! They're bringing too much!" That's what happens with yajña, if you do some service to Kṛṣṇa. People are looking for entrepreneurial opportunities—the best business is preaching. That's it. If you just move your energy little by little towards preaching—open your door a little crack, invite people in, and just say, "Here, let's read Bhagavad-gītā for 16.006 seconds and then you can go home. I'll give you a little something to take with you"—it changes everything. It changes the equation. So, we want to expand. Every house should be a new community where people can come and learn how to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, learn the Bhagavad-gītā, and so forth. Every one of you is now deputed. You're deputed as of today, Akṣaya-tṛtīyā. Put some books in your car. Get a little box; maybe order it on Amazon, make a group order. Get a little box, get a whole package of boxes, and then put some books in it and put it in your back seat. I guarantee you, the opportunity will come up where someone will say, "Have you heard of the Bhagavad-gītā? Can I have a Bhagavad-gītā?'" And you'll just pull it out of your back seat and give him a Bhagavad-gītā. Take a little prasādam with you. Be an ambassador of goodwill. Pass it on to other people. This is what the planet needs. There's no stopgap measure that can stop people's suffering, because human life is not meant for comfort. It's actually meant for—and I don't want to say anything too shocking, but it's meant for tapasya. It's meant to take some trouble so that you can do good for others. It's called paropakāra. That's what makes us happy, and that's what makes the world a better place. So, we should try for that. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna

In this Age of Kali, hari-kīrtana is very, very important. The importance of chanting the holy name of the Lord is stated in the following verses from Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (12.3.51-52): kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya  mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet kṛte yad dhyāyato viṣṇuṁ tretāyāṁ yajato makhaiḥ dvāpare paricaryāyāṁ kalau tad dhari-kīrtanāt “The most important factor in this Age of Kali, which is an ocean of faults, is that one can be free from all contamination and become eligible to enter the kingdom of God simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra. The self-realization that was achieved in the Satya millennium by meditation, in the Tretā millennium by the performance of different sacrifices, and in the Dvāpara millennium by worship of Lord Kṛṣṇa can be achieved in the Age of Kali simply by chanting the holy names, Hare Kṛṣṇa.” (Cc Madhya 6.242) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #mantramusic #spiritualmusic #kirtan #mantra #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Chanting Hare Krishna is Sufficient for Going Back to Godhead | SB 6.3.13-29 | UK | 08 Apr 2026

The main objective of varṇāśrama, is to surrender to Kṛṣṇa ultimately—but while we're practicing Kṛṣṇa consciousness, there are ways in which we can also make sure that we have, so to speak, "two feet on the ground." Consider the fact that chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa is sufficient for going back home, back to Godhead; nothing else is needed. That's proved in the last verse of the Śaraṇāgati by Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura, where he describes how, by his chanting of the mahā-mantra, Lord Kṛṣṇa personally comes and takes him by the hand—or more accurately, the Holy Name comes and takes him by the hand—back to Godhead, and introduces him to his relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead in the spiritual world. However, you'll find in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta that although Lord Caitanya says there's no need for any initiation even for chanting the Holy Name of the Lord, the purport is specifically about (and it's written by Jīva Gosvāmī; Prabhupāda's transcription of his directions on this) that initiation is very much needed because, in order to purely chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, one also has to have the pāñcarātrika system. I'm making a parallel between this and the idea of varṇāśrama, because there's a way in which, when we come into the material world, we're prone to confusion. There are complexities and impurities. Therefore, when we have a regulation of the daivi-varṇāśrama—a way in which we can be properly situated at the various segments of our life when we have a particular psycho-physiological nature—then we can remain steady in the chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra. So, we have a dual existence in this world: we have our body-mind and we are the ātmā. But the endeavor to continue chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and be engaged is helped by the regulation that we get from the varṇāśrama system. Therefore, the two things complement one another in that sense. However, if somebody thinks that varṇāśrama is the ultimate goal and forgets about Kṛṣṇa, then it's useless and has no real purpose, because it's related to the three modes of material nature. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We're an organization meant only for pure devotional service, and it's important to keep a humble attitude and be "the servant of the servant of the servant," and remember that we're all here by the grace of Śrīla Prabhupāda, Lord Caitanya, and the great ācāryas. It's important to—as Kṛṣṇa says in the Gītā—be kind. He says, "You should be a kind friend to all living beings." It's really important, and the only way to do that consistently is to be Kṛṣṇa conscious. And the only way to be Kṛṣṇa conscious consistently is to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. There's no substitute; it's the main process. So, we have to chant sincerely. Even if you feel that you're distracted or you don't have a taste, chant anyway. Just keep chanting, because all the power is there within the chanting of the holy name—it's the main thing. If you keep that going all the time—chant your daily rounds and then always remember Kṛṣṇa by chanting His names—then Kṛṣṇa will protect your consciousness. We need that, because the world is fraught with difficulties, distraction, and evil-mindedness. So we should, as the Bhāgavatam (SB 1.1.14) says: āpannaḥ saṁsṛtiṁ ghorāṁ yan-nāma vivaśo gṛṇan tataḥ sadyo vimucyeta yad bibheti svayaṁ bhayam The material world is a fearful situation; therefore, the sages of Naimiṣāraṇya say we should take shelter of Kṛṣṇa's name, because even Fear Personified is afraid of Kṛṣṇa. We'll realize that the more we take shelter of Kṛṣṇa's names, the solution to all problems is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. The solution to being out of anxiety is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. So please, chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, go on serving the devotees, and try to give mercy to the people of Silicon Valley. You'll find in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta that Lord Caitanya says the Holy Name doesn't wait for initiation; it's sufficient for everything. And it is. However, because we're affected by the modes of material nature by dint of taking birth in the material world—especially in Kali-yuga—it's unlikely that one is born as a liberated soul. Therefore, there's provision within the process to maintain a higher state of life through the pañcarātrika-vidhi. You know what I mean by pañcarātrika-vidhi? It means the rules and regulations given for Deity worship; especially, it's a lifestyle. It means that you live clean, in the mode of goodness, so you can approach the Deity without making any offense. Therefore, Jīva Gosvāmī, in his commentary on the verse in which Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu says the Holy Name is sufficient, says that we must also have pañcarātrika initiation. This means that we have to worship the Deity along with chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. Otherwise, we'll fall victim to the lower modes of material nature and we won't be able to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Oftentimes, people sit to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and they say, "Man, maybe later; right now, I'll scroll." Then twenty years later, everyone says, 'What happened to you?' and he goes, 'Yeah, what was that mantra? If you could remind me, I'll try starting again.' Therefore, there is this all-encompassing framework given by our ācāryas: you keep yourself clean in your lifestyle by pañcarātrika rules and regulations, and at the same time, you chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. These are what Prabhupāda used to refer to as the 'two train tracks' by which your train can go back home, back to Godhead. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I've collated quotes from Prabhupāda and found that specifically when it comes to quotes relevant to japa, they are not unlimited quotes, so I've chosen four. I read one to you yesterday, and today's quote is as follows. Prabhupāda wrote this in 1969, so you can appreciate the fact that during this time, devotees had been active for a couple of years—two or three years. Prabhupāda started in 1965, then 1966, '67, '68, '69... Devotees were just getting started. They had lots of questions about how to chant japa. One of them, to begin with, was how we're going to do 64 rounds, and then how are we going to do 32, and how are we going to do 16. Prabhupāda gives the following in a letter: "Regarding your last question about the ecstatic symptoms of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, you should know that the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra has an equal effect upon all devotees, just like the sunshine has an equal effect on everyone. But when it is covered, the sunshine has a different effect. Similarly, the influence of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra becomes manifest when one is no longer covered by the ten offenses to chanting. The more we become free from the ten offenses, the more the effect of chanting becomes manifested through us. Everyone can become a great devotee, being freed from the offenses100% simply by one's determination and effort." The word "determination" has the word "terminus" in it, which means an ending point. One can take it that determination means you finish what you started. And that means when you start a mantra, hear it all the way through—not just the "Hare Kṛṣṇa" part, but also the "Hare Rāma" part. If you stay in the mood of finishing—finish the mantra, finish hearing it, and then finish your rounds—you'll be considered determined. "Effort" means that we're not dead stones. We're responsible for wherever we are now and for wherever we're going to be in the future, because we know the science: where attention goes, energy flows. Therefore, if we're careful and vigilant, then we'll be progressive in our march back to Godhead. And that brings me to the word...(1:31) ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

We are creating our own bodies. The body you have now is a 3D printing of the kind of sound vibration—the kind of data we took in, the kind of data that we listened to, and that we perpetrated in our last life—and therefore, we got printed. Here's your 3D-printed body, exactly because of the sound vibration you put into it. Kṛṣṇa's creative force is inconceivably powerful—the material apparatus—but even more powerful is the sound vibration of His name. So the chanting of His name, remember that it's repositioning us, creating our destiny. We're creating everything in our lives because of the sound vibration we're making. So you can take it that when you're chanting, you're printing. If you want to print a new life, if you want to print a spiritual body, and so forth... Sorry, it's kind of a gross example, but it comes from the sound vibration because—and I'll reiterate and finish—everything comes from subtle to gross. It all starts with sound vibration; even in physics now, the theory is that everything's vibrational. The whole universe is tied together by combinations and permutations of vibration. So the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra is the supreme vibration, and it's the best idea for printing a new life. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Pradyumna said, “Prabhupāda, I'm studying all these things about this yajña, that the other, this name, that, in this part of it. What would you like?” Prabhupāda leaned over and said, “Shortcut.” Jīva Gosvāmī says something similar. He says, any of the rituals we perform in Deity worship or anywhere else have to be preceded by and ended by chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. That's what makes them successful—not the extensive rituals, tying strings on this and that, throwing rice here and there, although it's kind of fun. It's the chanting of The Holy Names. That's the yajña-saṅkīrtana prayer, yajanti hi sumedhasaḥ. That's the ritual for the age of Kali. That's the sacrifice. That's the worship. And unless you have an ācārya who's associated with the topmost devotees and has imbibed this mood, who brings it and then sets the path, then how is everyone going to accommodate? What's more, people generally get into the details and then make them so exclusive that hardly anybody can follow them, or they exclude people from following certain rituals because they only—this one can follow, only that one can follow. But we find this is the teachings of Lord Caitanya: kibā vipra, kibā nyāsī, śūdra kene naya / yei kṛṣṇa‑tattva‑vettā, sei ‘guru' haya (Cc. Madhya 15.106). This is revolutionary, because Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu was at a time when there were unlimited rules and regulations to follow. But he said, what really counts is if somebody knows the science of Kṛṣṇa. Such a person should be given the opportunity to become a teacher of Kṛṣṇa consciousness and respected as such. So there is our arcana process, our Minister of Deity Worship, Nṛsiṁha Kavaca Prabhu, who's been here before. He's one of the most affable people on earth. He also knows about rules and regulations. He stays at the—during the GBC meetings. He knows all the procedures that you have to follow in order to have a bona fide meeting. So if somebody brings up a point, they call on him and say, “Is that… is that working right?” And he goes, “No, you have to say this before you say that,” etc. And in Deity worship, he knows all the things, yet he doesn't have any Deities at home. He told me. I said, I do that because Prabhupāda said, come worship at the temple. Unless you live far away and you can't come, don't prioritize your own home worship and don't make it too complicated. Many people don't know that, but that's our Deity Worship Minister's example. Once I was harassing him—we were driving on a rickshaw to Navadvīpa-dhāma—because I wanted to… ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika

Begging for the Holy Name is what we're built for. If you've ever wondered—if you've ever looked at yourself in the mirror and noticed your ears, your eyes, the shape of your head, your arms, your legs—did you ever do that? And think, "Well, what is this design?" It's especially designed for prayer. The human body is built for prayer. And this is the most beneficial mudrā (folded hands). We only feel fully satisfied as humans when we pray to Kṛṣṇa sincerely, "Please engage me in Your service." Otherwise, we're to one degree or another neurotic. Every human being has some neurosis. Sorry to say that in front of Viṣṇugada Prabhu—he's a licensed psychologist. Hope I'm not incorrect. It was Prabhupāda's observation. When he heard somebody in court who was asked to give expert witness about a case—he was asked to certify if a perpetrator was mad or crazy—he said, "As far as I'm concerned, as a psychologist, everybody's crazy." So, when we are able to pray to the Lord, then we feel satisfied. In the nāma-tattva, or the truth of the Holy Name, we find in the Bhāgavatam statements that bring our mind to full concentration in one place, like: kaler doṣa-nidhe rājann asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet (SB 12.3.51) Kali-yuga is a lost cause. It's a very difficult time where people are lazy, misguided, unlucky, and above all, always disturbed: prāyeṇālpāyuṣaḥ sabhya kalāv asmin yuge janāḥ mandāḥ sumanda-matayo manda-bhāgyā hy upadrutāḥ (SB 1.1.10) Sumanda—it's really bad. But there's one good quality in the age: mahān guṇaḥ. One good quality is that just by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra, one could cross over the ocean of faults of the Kali-yuga. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

You have to follow the scriptures —pramāṇais tat-sad-ācārais (BS 5.59), and you have to behave properly, tad-abhyāsais. You have to have abhyāsa; you have to practice again and again. And about that, I'm going to read you a couple of quotes. Do you want to hear a couple of quotes about practice? Success is built before it is seen. Growth requires commitment. Leaders grow strongest in quiet consistency. I was really inspired by 'Success is built before it is seen,' because in the early practices of devotional service, there are oftentimes complaints: 'How come I'm the only one who can't get anything?' 'I've been left behind,' and 'I don't have a taste,' and so forth. But if we apply ourselves—pramāṇais tat-sad-ācārais tad-abhyāsair—practice. How much? A lot. How much should you practice? A lot. It's two words. How much? A lot. Some people make it one word, 'a lot.' Okay, so how much abhyāsa? Nirantaram, he says. How much did you practice? Pretty much all the time. Nirantaram means without stopping. 'Bodhayan ātmanātmānaṁ' means then there will be awakening. Bodhayan means an awakening of the soul to the relationship with the Lord. 'Bodhayan ātmanātmānaṁ bhaktim apy uttamāṁ labhet'—one will attain this bhakti. Bhaktyā sañjātayā bhaktyā (SB 11.3.31), like this verse says: if you practice the first kind of bhakti properly, then naturally there will be an awakening. So this idea of rāgānuga—it's our practice, and we're fully equipped. Everything is there. The Holy Name is the consolidated practice given by Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu, who has taken everything in all of the cultures of the Vedic system and all the śāstras, and He has put it in one place. We need that. By chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa without offense, then one can achieve the perfection of life which we're just describing. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #pilgrimageoftheheart #jagannathpuri #spiritualsuccess #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

When Caitanya Mahāprabhu was teaching about devotional service, he presented 64 items. One of them is chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa; another is associating with devotees; and others are living in a holy Dhāma, reading Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam, and worshiping the Deity. He said that of all the 64, these five are so potent that even if you have a little connection with them, you'll make advancement in devotional service. And so, this "coming to the Dhāma" is noticeably prominent in his Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's teachings, of course, he said you should always live in the Dhāma—but if you can't be there physically, you should be there in your mind and heart. But how will you develop such a connection unless you come here? That's why we're here. So, in great humility, we enter this holy place. I offer my respectful obeisances to His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupāda, who introduced this Dhāma to us, as well as all the other aspects of devotional service. Not only did he introduce it, but he keeps introducing it to us through his books and through all his lectures, teachings—and also by the example he set by inviting his whole international society to come every year. Of course, there were fewer devotees at that time, but I think the invitation still holds. He relished seeing all of his fledgling disciples from various parts of the world—some of them freezing cold, others from places where no one had ever heard "Hare Kṛṣṇa"—coming into the Dhāma together: Māyāpur, Vṛndāvana, and sometimes Purī. So, we offer our respectful obeisances to Śrīla Prabhupāda and beg his permission to be in this Dhāma for a week, and to hear and chant together. While we are here as travelers—because you've already noticed—"travel" comes from the word travail. If you follow the etymology, everyone knows travail means an extreme of discomfort, but it also traces back to an instrument of torture. But it's not torture when we know we are coming to the Dhāma. Just going through security is kind of like a preparation for leaving this world: "And what do you still have on you, buddy? We'll go through it and look." We can't hide anything in this world. It all goes through an X-ray machine and a pat-down somewhere. It is best if we dispense of the useless things that we're carrying around with us before we get to the final security checkpoint. This is a good place to do it. Not that we come here just to leave our troubles or sins, but naturally, when we come here in a mood of service, we'll find that whatever material aspirations we have can be transformed into aspirations for serving Kṛṣṇa. After all, that's what's permanent. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://vaisesikadasayatra.blogspot.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritu

In fact, one of Prabhupāda's godbrothers had said many years ago—just after Prabhupāda had left that Prabhupāda was an āveśa, or an empowered person, to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world. One of the devotees asked this godbrother, who was a well-wisher of Prabhupāda, 'What kind of āveśa?' And he said, 'Nityānanda-āveśa'—especially empowered by Nityānanda to spread Kṛṣṇa consciousness all over the world. Otherwise, how could he have come as a great ācārya and sat by himself for one year in New York City and tolerated the cold and then the heat and then just the culture shock? When he started teaching Kṛṣṇa consciousness to others, they had no idea, did the young people who he was or what anything meant. In fact, so much so that they would come, have a feast, go home, and leave everything for Prabhupāda to clean up, not thinking that maybe we should help. But one day they did, and they got service, and then devotees began to make advancement in Kṛṣṇa consciousness. So we have this opportunity, being under the shelter of Śrīla Prabhupāda and the movement in which we're worshiping Lord Nitāi and Gaurāṅga. In the pastimes of Lord Nityānanda and Lord Caitanya, we find that it is especially beneficial to chant the names of Nitāi and Caitanya, because They do not consider any offenses. When we chant, “Śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya prabhu-nityānanda śrī-advaita gadādhara śrīvāsādi-gaura-bhakta-vṛnda,” and then chant, “Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare; Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare,” we can very quickly make advancement in devotional service. When we were visiting recently in Navadvīpa-dhāma, the place of Dhameśvara Mahāprabhu, we had a big kīrtana on our yātrā. There were some māyāvādī sannyāsīs there who were watching us. And when we chanted Hare Kṛṣṇa, they didn't dance, and they didn't open their mouths to chant. (there were no masks back then, so we could tell!) Then we started to sing this next song about Lord Caitanya, Nityānanda, and their unlimited mercy. And then they went wild, and they started dancing and singing. So this is the benefit of singing Nitāi and Gaurāṅga, because Lord Nityānanda is so merciful that He doesn't consider any offenses and anybody can enter into the process of Kṛṣṇa consciousness under the shelter of Nitāi and Gaurāṅga. This is the song... ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #nityananda #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritu

Just this morning, we had a three-hour meeting. When's the last time you had a three-hour Zoom call? We had one this morning from 7:00 AM to 10:00, right on the dot— we started right at seven, we ended at ten. We had maybe about ten people, and it was our beginning-of-the-year brainstorming session. Vision, mission, brainstorming for 2026 and beyond: What are our next goals for distributing knowledge that's what keeps us up at night and wakes us up early in the morning: how to do good for others. This is what Advaita Ācārya did—he couldn't sleep thinking about the plight of those in the material world who didn't have the opportunity to come in contact with true knowledge. The rich people were burning their money up doing all these crazy rituals, and poor people were wasting money on intoxication and frivolous activities. And he thought, 'Please, let me be a force in the world to reform them.' So he prayed for Lord Caitanya to come, and he helped to organize the distribution of knowledge. In fact, did you know that Advaita Ācārya went door to door? How'd you like it if Mahā-Viṣṇu came to your front door? 'Who's at the door, honey?' 'I think it's God. He's come knocking at our door.' That's how eager The Supreme Personality of Godhead is. He likes to do it, and He knows the formula. If you just go out and make yourself available—when it's cold or rainy or too hot or you don't feel like it—you're going to feel bad anyway; the material world's just like that. But if you pray, you chant, and you go out and try to give the knowledge to other people, you'll feel joyful 24 hours a day, and your thoughts will be transcendental. Because what you're going to do—if you toss and turn at night right now, you'll still toss and turn—but you're going to be thinking about: "How can I distribute Bhagavad-gītā, not just in English, but in Arabic and in Farsi, in French and Japanese, all over the world?" And if that's your preoccupation in life, you're a liberated soul. It's not hard; it's a simple process. These are heartfelt principles brought to us by Advaita Ācārya, who offered them to everybody. If you live in some far-flung place, you can restart the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement right from your place. All you have to do is have a Bhagavad-gītā and start reading it. Invite people to come over, chant a little bit, and when they get inspired, have them go out and chant for other people. The miracle happens again and again and again. Everyone's waiting for a miracle in this world, but one has already come: it's Advaita Ācārya. He showed us how to do it. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------

Prahlāda Mahārāja says, 'duḥkhauṣadhaṁ tad api duḥkham atad-dhiyāhaṁ' (SB 7.9.17)—I think that the kind of remedies people make to stave off suffering in the material world are worse than the suffering itself. The anxiety of trying to fight an uphill battle that one eventually loses is quite disheartening and causes great consternation. But if we have the right process—and that is to take direct shelter of the Supreme Personality of Godhead—as recommended in the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam: 'samāśritā ye pada-pallava-plavaṁ mahat-padaṁ puṇya-yaśo murāreḥ'(SB 10.14.58)— He is the shelter of the whole universe, and therefore one should feel free to take complete shelter of Him. There is no other remedy, and there is no other process. Direct devotional service especially means chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa with heartfelt eagerness to offer oneself to Kṛṣṇa and take shelter of Kṛṣṇa. So, one of the helpful guidances that Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura gives is that if you stay attentive to the chanting, then you will overcome many of the offenses; or, as he puts it, being inattentive is the root cause of other offenses. So it's simple. It may not be easy, but it's very simple is to chant with heart. Remember that there is no other solution to the puzzle of the material world—and the puzzling situations that we have to face—other than taking shelter of Kṛṣṇa. The direct way to do that is to chant Kṛṣṇa's names. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehappy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Question by HG Vaisesika Dasa: I was interested in how we might cultivate the mood You emphasized. It's not by our supposed expertise in anything or our positive thinking, but by the descending mercy that comes by rigidly adhering to the orders of the spiritual master. If you could elaborate that point and give any advice to us of how we might attain success through that principle—as we're interested in doing, individually and collectively, and spreading the saṅkīrtana movement—we would be deeply grateful." Answer by HH Jayādvaita Mahārāja: "Spreading the saṅkīrtana movement" There's the answer in the question. Yes!! Prabhupāda said that was the desire of his spiritual master: that the holy name of Kṛṣṇa be distributed all over the world. It was the desire of Caitanya Mahāprabhu; it was the desire of Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura; it's the desire of Śrīla Prabhupāda; it's the desire of your spiritual master—that the glories of Kṛṣṇa be spread all over the world. The glories of the holy name, the name of Kṛṣṇa, the message—"name" means name, form, qualities, pastimes, everything. There's no difference. The saṅkīrtana movement should spread all over the world. Prabhupāda said he learned everything from his father; actually, he said he learned everything: how to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, how to perform the Ratha-yātrā, how to offer to Kṛṣṇa. He said, "But this I learned from my spiritual master: to distribute books; the importance of distributing books." He said, "Everything else was already there from my father, but this I learned from my Guru Mahārāja. He had a great desire to distribute books and said, 'If you ever get money, just print books.'" And we saw how Prabhupāda gave such importance to that. So that's a specific—and a very important—specific. But whatever the service given to me may be by my spiritual master—he told me to worship the Deity, or he told me to chant more rounds, or he told me to cook something, or he told me to teach something—so whatever order I may have received, or even if I haven't received a particular order, I can understand what his desire was, what desire he expressed. Let me do that wholeheartedly. Otherwise, what is the use of my life? Everything else will be finished. I'll get a certain quota of sense gratification in my life; I'll eat a certain number of pizzas, I'll get a certain number of whatevers. But at the end, that will all be of no importance—what clothes, what enjoyment, what house I got to live in, what car I got to drive, what computer I got to use, or what headlines appeared about me in Dandavats.com. That will all be finished. But if we are able to serve the spiritual master—that is, serve his desire, his instruction—that stays with us eternally, or that enables us to stay with him eternally. That should be our treasure: the words, the desires, the instructions, the mission of the spiritual master. And in that verse that's so important:'tomāra se śakti pele guru-sebāya bastu mile.' If we just pick up that one understanding—What do we want from Kṛṣṇa? " Please give me the strength, the inspiration, the determination to serve my spiritual master.' Then everything will be there." ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025

Any person in any part of the world can take up this simple process of chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa and using resources to help expand the Saṅkīrtana movement; and Prabhupāda showed how successful that can be. Caitanya Mahāprabhu also taught that it's important to avoid offenses while chanting, and one of the ways to avoid offenses is to take shelter of Lord Nityānanda and Lord Caitanya, because Lord Nityānanda is adoṣa-darśī—He doesn't see anybody's faults. Do you know anybody like that? It's pretty rare. But there's a description by Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura in the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam about different classes of people in this world who find faults. He says that some people are professional fault-finders.They're so expert at finding faults in others that even when there are no faults in somebody, they're able to find one and bring it up. That's a professional fault-finder. If you ask somebody what they do for a profession, they could say, 'I'm a professional fault-finder.' I said something about, 'Don't find faults in others,' and somebody wrote something back saying, 'This is a faulty conclusion; you should try to find fault with people.' Then he talks about someone who is adoṣa-darśī—that even when there is an obvious fault, the person doesn't see any fault. Viśvanātha Cakravartī Ṭhākura gave an example: He said if somebody is very charitable, then the person who is a fault-finder might say, "Oh yes, he's charitable, but he's going to become very puffed up because he's giving charity. Actually, probably then people will start giving him money too and making him famous, and then he'll accept it all, and then he'll fall down—so it doesn't amount to much." Then he gave an example of somebody who doesn't find faults. He mentioned a householder. One night a burglar came in, and when the residents of the house woke up, the burglar had a weapon and said, "Give me all your riches." So they started handing over the riches. When he left, the householder said, "Oh, he's very pious! First of all, he really needed the money, because otherwise, why would he even come in here? And second of all, he had a weapon and he didn't harm any of us. Such a pious, nice person." Anyway, he gave these examples, but Lord Nityānanda is exactly like that. The śāstra says He is adoṣa-darśī; He doesn't find any fault. Sometimes we're the worst fault-finders of ourselves because, although we're trying to make advancement on the path of devotional service, we may compare ourselves to others and imagine that everyone else is doing okay except for me—and then we may discourage ourselves from advancing in devotional service. We definitely need Lord Nityānanda's help. It's mentioned in the Caitanya-caritāmṛta by Kavirāj Goswāmī that the mode in which Chaitanya Mahāprabhu conducted himself at Kūramkṣetra was the same as he did everywhere. In a village near here, he met a very well-to-do person named Kūrma. He was a Brāhmana and a gṛhasta. He was also the leader of his community. When he saw Srī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu, as you might expect, Mahāprabhu was so attractive, Kūrma said to Lord Chaitanya that, "I will just go with you. Please, let me travel with you." Chaitanya Mahāprabhu didn't stay long in one place—sometimes just one day. Chaitanya Mahāprabhu replied to Kūrma, "Never speak like this again." This is the instruction that Chaitanya Mahāprabhu gave to Kūrma that Kavirāj Goswāmī says was consistent everywhere he went. He gave several instructions to Kūrma. One is, he said, "You should stay here and chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." This was the primary reason that Chaitanya Mahāprabhu traveled everywhere: to teach everyone the process of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra together. He said, "Stay in your home and stay in your village, and organize people so they can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa." The second instruction he gave him was, "You should teach this to other people." He said, "If you do these two things, there's no reason to leave home." Prabhupāda, in his purport to this instruction, explained that if somebody is engaged in chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa, hearing from Srīmad Bhāgavatam, and teaching others, that person will be protected from Māyā, and one is enveloped by the spiritual energy—so much so that Chaitanya Mahā[prabhu didn't recommend that Kūrma leave home. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #globalyouthretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

So, not only do we get to walk around and see the various forms of the Lord and relish the places where Caitanya Mahāprabhu walked, but also we can participate in the same activity that he emphasized when he went to South India—which is teaching people how to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. Back then, Caitanya Mahāprabhu had found a couple of books in South India. Does anybody remember which books he found? He found Brahma-saṁhitā, fifth chapter. What was the other one? Kṛṣṇa-karṇāmṛta. And he had them copied. He got the original manuscripts, and he had them copied. It was a little more difficult to get stuff copied back then because scribes had to do them by hand; but we have this best of modern technology, such that we mass-produce these books and we're able to distribute them here, there, and everywhere—wherever we go. So, we'll be doing that, and we can expect Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's special blessings from doing that. After all, that's what he did. Going back to Prabhupāda's article in the back of the Back to Godhead magazine, we're following in the footsteps of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu. Our battle cry for this Yātrā is—what does it say back there? 'Nobody is better than Lord Caitanya.' You can't find anybody better than Lord Caitanya. He's the best of the best. He's Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa combined. He's the deity of the Paramahaṁsas. Caitanya Mahāprabhu distributes love for himself—love for Kṛṣṇa, Rādhā and Kṛṣṇa. So, there's nobody better than Lord Caitanya. Ask Prabodhānanda Sarasvatī; he'll tell you the same thing. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 https://thefourquestionsbook.com/?utm_source=youtube&utm_medium=video&utm_campaign=launch2025 ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Once my godbrother, Vatsala, gave his Bhagavad-gītā class, and he gave the example of yogurt. How do you make yogurt? Well, first you get some milk from Bhakti Farms—because there's no better milk on the planet. I've watched Nirkulā make yogurt all the time—you get the right kind of pot, and you have to use a thermometer to find out the exact temperature. Then you put in some culture of yogurt from a previous batch. And how much does it take? A dollop! How much is a dollop? Anybody know? It's not specifically defined, but it's like just a little bit—a dollop. You put a dollop in, then you leave it in that environment, that favorable environment, and what happens? The whole pot turns to yogurt. It takes to the culture, and then it spreads and it becomes part of it. So, in a similar way, my godbrother Vatsala said, "We have the big pot of our life." What's in it? All kinds of stuff. If you really take the time now, before the New Year comes, and you write down everything you're doing, you'll be shocked at all the stuff you're doing simultaneously. You're doing a lot. And then if you think, "Okay, how much am I chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa? A dollop? I've got a little dollop going on here?" You keep doing that, as Prabhupāda is pointing out here, and adjust your intention. Why am I doing what I'm doing? It's like, "I'm offering to Kṛṣṇa," and we should be sincere about that. And as we do, then that chanting and that intention... it will envelop the entire pot, and it will turn to something else. It's a foregone conclusion that that will happen. So, it's not a disadvantage to be engaged in the world. It's only a disadvantage when you forget Kṛṣṇa. When you remember Kṛṣṇa, then 'vidyam ca avidyam ca yas'—you see two things at the same time. You see ignorance and the result of ignorant activities, and you see Kṛṣṇa consciousness, and you see the antidote. And those two become a solid realization when you see them side by side. It's so interesting, isn't it, to be engaged in the world when you're reading Bhagavad-gītā? ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

I brought a quote with me this morning that I found Śrīla Prabhupāda speaking about chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. He says, "In this age, hearing is more important than thinking, because one's thinking may be disturbed by mental agitation, but if one concentrates on hearing, he will be forced to associate with the sound vibration of Kṛṣṇa. Kṛṣṇa and the sound vibration Kṛṣṇa are non-different. So if one loudly vibrates Hare Kṛṣṇa, he will be able to think of Kṛṣṇa immediately. This process of chanting is the best process of self-realization in this age. Therefore, Lord Caitanya preached it so nicely for the benefit of all humanity." I added to a section of this paper I'm writing about Prabhupāda's statement that chanting japa is 'forced meditation.' And in one sense, we consider that the name has force: nāmnām akāri bahudhā nija-sarva-śaktis. There's śakti in the name. So it's not simply mindfulness, but it's direct association with Kṛṣṇa, who has his own power and his own agenda. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #mantrameditation #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Balarāma, Gopāl Prabhu, I came to your house in that little enclave called SLO, San Luis Obispo. It's a little isolated place. You have to airlift in all supplies. If you fly there, you have to drop in by parachute. It's a little place surrounded by reality. And we came to your house and saw that because of your sincerity, you had facilitated hundreds of young people, non-traditional, as Devavrata said, no previous connection with anything that has to do with Hare Kṛṣṇa. But I've never seen any dancing or chanting in kīrtan like the one that took place in your house. I kept looking up to see if the roof was still on. If it hadn't been a slab floor, it would have broken through, and that's a harbinger for your devotional service that you started in such an environment and facilitated it. Therefore, I pray to Śrīla Prabhupāda, to your spiritual master, and to Devavrata Prabhu and his team, and all the previous ācāryas, that may your sojourn in this life be marked by enthusiasm, full engagement in devotional service, and happiness of heart to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa and see other people dance as enthusiastic as they were at your house. And may that enthusiasm that started in your house spread throughout California and then all over North America and the world. And we give you our sincere congratulations today for staying in the āśram system and strictly following in the footsteps of the previous ācāryas.

Rūpa Goswāmī explains that we understand the hierarchy of The Lord's manifestations in terms of His qualities. And one of His qualities is that He plays a flute. Think about that: He is a musician. Once, when somebody asked Prabhupāda why Kṛṣṇa (God) plays a flute, Girirāj Mahārāj told us, Prabhupāda said it means that He is all play and no work. In the 1960s, way before you guys were born, here in the Bay Area, you could have a sighting of a certain kind of creature called the hippie. And lots of hippies played flutes. They also had bare feet, just like Kṛṣṇa is bare feet, and they had long hair, just like Kṛṣṇa has long hair. They played their flute, and they'd sit on the sidewalk. They had an idea also that they would be all play and no work. But it didn't work out, because then the '70s came, and then the '80s, and everything was finished, because everyone went back to business school and forgot about being hippies. They had to work hard, and most of them died early. So utopia, or the land of eternal happiness, is there in this association with Kṛṣṇa. And it comes down through sound when Kṛṣṇa plays His flute. Brahmā, the first living being in the universe, hears it. Then he realizes the Absolute Truth through the flute sound. That same sound can be transferred from one devotee to the next. Prabhupāda gives a statement, which we should not overlook, in his purport to a verse in the Madhya Līlā, in which he says that same flute sound that Brahmā heard at the beginning of creation, which endowed upon him enlightenment, is fully present now in the form of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahāmantra. So, we should listen for that sound. Our purpose in life is to organize in such a way that we can hear the sound of the spiritual world. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Regarding the daily chanting, Prabhupāda wrote the following in a letter to one of his disciples, and I'll just read part of it: "My dear Jayapataka, please accept my blessings. I am very glad to receive your letter dated February 28 and noted the contents with great pleasure. The transcendental experience which you had during kīrtana performance at the Loyola University is very nice. Relishing the sweetness of Kṛṣṇa-kīrtana is only possible when one is actually advanced toward perfection. Śrīla Rūpa Gosvāmī used to say, wishing, if he had possessed millions of ears and billions of tongues, then he could chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra a little bit relishably. In the conditioned stage, we chant Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra officially without any attachment, and try to finish the rounds as soon as possible. Sometimes we also forget to chant the prescribed number of rounds. But Haridāsa Ṭhākura at the last stage of his life, he was chanting 300,000 beads, although Lord Caitanya asked him not to labor so hard. But Haridāsa Ṭhākura said that he would continue the practice till the end of his life. So that is the position of transcendental taste. Please, therefore, chant very sincerely with your present aptitude of mind, and Kṛṣṇa will bless you more and more in understanding this secret of transcendental vibration. Of course, sometimes the public may misunderstand such tears of bliss, that we may better have to check it from the vision of ordinary persons." And in this paragraph, I had highlighted this: "In the conditioned stage, we chant Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra officially without any attachment, and try to finish the rounds as soon as possible." I hear often from devotees who say that, "How can I chant? I don't have taste." And first of all, one has to define what taste means. When Prabhupāda one day was giving a lecture in Los Angeles, in the middle, he stopped and said, "You all have taste, and here is why: because I come here every day and I say the exact same things, and you all come here every day and you listen," and he said, "you do not go away." He said, "That is ruci." S,o this act of coming every day to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, or taking your time to at least officially finish 16 rounds minimum every day, is a kind of taste. What's more, it will lead to every desirable aspect of life. Our connection with Kṛṣṇa will be re-established. So if we put our minds to the numerical strength and finishing every day, we'll be able to overcome all obstacles. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #makejapagreatagain #chantharekrishnaandbehapy #mantrameditation #japa#spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #

In the Western countries, where the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement is spreading, learned scholars and other thoughtful men are realizing its effectiveness. For example, Dr. J. Stillson Judah, a learned scholar, has been very much attracted to this movement because he has actually seen that it is turning hippies addicted to drugs into pure Vaiṣṇavas who voluntarily become servants of Kṛṣṇa and humanity. Even a few years ago, such hippies did not know the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, but now they are chanting it and becoming pure Vaiṣṇavas. Thus they are becoming free from all sinful activities, such as illicit sex, intoxication, meat-eating and gambling. This is practical proof of the effectiveness of the Hare Kṛṣṇa movement, which is supported in this verse. One may or may not know the value of chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra, but if one somehow or other chants it, he will immediately be purified, just as one who takes a potent medicine will feel its effects, regardless of whether he takes it knowingly or unknowingly. Cc Madhya 25.105-221 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/25/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ When we began distributing the message of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu in the Western countries, a similar thing happened. In the beginning we were very much disappointed for at least one year because no one came forth to help this movement, but by the grace of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu, some young boys joined this movement in 1966. Of course we distributed Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu's message of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra without bargaining or selling. As a result, this movement has spread all over the world, with the assistance of European and American boys and girls. We therefore pray for all the blessings of Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu upon all the devotees in the Western world who are spreading this movement. Cc Madhya 24.334-355 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/24/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ As soon as I wake up, the first thing I do is I say Prabhupāda's praṇāma mantra: namo om viṣṇu-pādāya kṛṣṇa-preṣṭhāya bhū-tale śrīmate bhaktivedānta-svāmin iti nāmine namas te sārasvate deve gaura-vāṇī-pracāriṇe nirviśeṣa-śūnyavādi-pāścātya-deśa-tāriṇe Following that, I chant the Pañca-tattva Mahā-mantra: Jaya Śrī-kṛṣṇa-caitanya Prabhu Nityānanda, Śrī-Advaita Gadādhara Śrīvāsādi-gaura-bhakta-vṛnda. Then, I chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa Mahā-mantra: Hare Kṛṣṇa, Hare Kṛṣṇa, Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa, Hare Hare; Hare Rāma, Hare Rāma, Rāma Rāma, Hare Hare. The verse from the Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam (SB 10.90.48): jayati jana-nivāso devakī-janma-vādo yadu-vara-pariṣat svair dorbhir asyann adharmam sthira-cara-vṛjina-ghnaḥ su-smita-śrī-mukhena vraja-pura-vanitānāṁ vardhayan kāma-devam I say all those before I swing my legs out of the bed. Then, before I put my right foot on the floor, I say, "Oh, Mother Bhūmi, please forgive me for stepping on your surface." Then as soon as I have two feet on the floor, I say, "Thank you, Śrīla Prabhupāda." And then whoever I feel gratitude for at that time, I start saying thank you to them. It's usually God brothers, or whomever happens to be fresh in my mind when I take a moment of gratitude before I stand up. That prayer, Jayati jana-nivāso, has a history to it, but it's in the paddhati as one of the prayers that one may say upon waking up. So is asking Mother Bhūmi for forgiveness for stepping on her surface. It adds something special: a reminder of how good she is to us and how abundant the world is—that Mother Bhūmi, "Please forgive me for stepping on your surface"—and also treading lightly, being careful wherever we go. So those are what I say when I wake up in the morning (28:53). The more we organize opportunities for everyone to read Prabhupāda's books more thoroughly, more questions are answered, and the more we imbibe Prabhupāda's mood, it's inescapable—and we don't wonder about it. We know directly Prabhupāda has manifested himself as a spiritual hologram right in front of us and spoken to us directly and as intimately as possible—because that's the nature of books. They're miraculous. I'll just make one last point, which is that Śrīla Prabhupāda also wanted us to write. He wrote his books based on the tradition of all the ācāryas, and we're a sampradāya of the book. All ācāryas generally have written and left some literary contribution behind. Sometimes people feel reticent about writing, because they say, “Well, Prabhupāda wrote everything, so we shouldn't write anything.” But you could look at it a different way—and that is, if we don't write, how can we prove what we got from Prabhupāda? At one time, Prabhupāda criticized his colleagues from the other institution he was part of for some time, and asked, “Where are their books?” As Prabhupāda was producing more and more books, he asked, “Where are their books?” Maybe it's not well known, but Prabhupāda strenuously advocated that all of his followers should write. Did you know that? I'll just read you a quote and let Prabhupāda speak for himself. Are you up for this? There's a few here. I took out a few out of many more, just to give a taste. "Formally, all activities were performed in connection with Viṣṇu, but after Satya-yuga, there were symptoms of disrespectful dealings among Vaiṣṇavas. Śrīla Bhaktivinoda Ṭhākura has said that a Vaiṣṇava is he who has helped others become Vaiṣṇavas. An example of one who has converted many others into Vaiṣṇavas is Nārada Muni—a powerful Vaiṣṇava who has converted others into Vaiṣṇavas is to be worshiped. But because of material contamination, sometimes an exalted Vaiṣṇava is disrespected by other minor Vaiṣṇavas. When great saintly persons saw this contamination, they introduced worship of the Deity in the temple. This began in Tretā-yuga and was especially predominant in Dvāpara-yuga. But in Kali-yuga, worship of the Deity is being neglected. Therefore, chanting of the Hare Kṛṣṇa mantra is more powerful than Deity worship. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu set a practical example in that He did not establish any temples or Deities, but He profusely introduced the saṅkīrtana movement. Therefore, Kṛṣṇa consciousness preachers should give more stress to the saṅkīrtana movement—especially by distributing transcendental literature more and more. This helps the saṅkīrtana movement. Whenever there is a possibility to worship the Deity, we may establish many centers. But generally, we should give more stress to the distribution of transcendental literature, for this will be more effective in converting people to Kṛṣṇa consciousness." Okay, that's the preface. And now it gets to something more specific about writing. "It is certainly not good to write literature for money or reputation, but to write books and publish them for the enlightenment of the general populace is real service to the Lord. That was Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī's opinion, and he specifically told his disciples to write books. He actually preferred to publish books rather than establish temples. Temple construction is meant for the general populace and neophyte devotees, but the business of advanced and empowered devotees is to write books... ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------

Cc Madhya 24.1-99 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/24/ ------------------------------------------------------------ A pure devotee becomes attached to Kṛṣṇa by hearing the Lord's glories. The Lord's glories and the Lord Himself are identical. One has to be qualified to understand this absolute truth; therefore one should be given a chance to associate with a pure devotee. Our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement is meant for this purpose. We want to create pure devotees so that other people will benefit by their association. In this way the number of pure devotees increases. Professional preachers cannot create pure devotees. There are many professional preachers of Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam who read this work to earn their livelihood. However, they cannot convert materialistic people to devotional service. Only a pure devotee can convert others to pure devotional service. It is therefore important for all the preachers in our Kṛṣṇa consciousness movement to first become pure devotees and follow the regulative principles, refraining from illicit sex, meat-eating, gambling and intoxication. They should regularly chant the Hare Kṛṣṇa mahā-mantra on their beads, follow the devotional process, rise early in the morning, attend maṅgala-ārati and recite Śrīmad-Bhāgavatam and the Bhagavad-gītā regularly. In this way, one can become purified and free from all material contamination. Doesn't matter how much yoga you practice. Doesn't matter how detached you are, how mindful you are of the world; you may even achieve the point of equanimity. Has anybody here achieved complete equanimity, even when the monkey jumps on your head? No problem! So, even if you've achieved that state, it won't help you unless you have Acyuta-bhāva; you have to have that awakening that comes from Madana-Mohan. It stimulates the heart. It could come from the scent of the Tulasī leaf mixed with saffron. It could come from that one last Kīrtan, and we've seen it before. One young devotee came to the New York Ratha-yātrā. Complete equilibrium in life, because he grew up in a devotee family, and in one Kīrtan, the devotees were jumping up off the ground, and then he started jumping off the ground. After that, he said, "I'm in all the way." Changed. His heart changed. We know another devotee who came to Jagannāth Purī, and he saw the lotus eyes of Toṭā Gopināth, and he said, "That's it. I'm convinced. I'm in." Kṛṣṇa touches our heart. naiṣkarmyam apy acyuta-bhāva-varjitaṁ na śobhate jñānam (SB 1.5.12) Nothing else is enough in this world, through any process, except for bhakti, represented by Madana-Mohan. And that's what this temple is. It's what we should build in our heart. A monument in the heart that says nothing else but Kṛṣṇa only: the worshiping of Kṛṣṇa's lotus feet, chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. No other demigod, no other movie star, no other sports guy—unless you see them in relationship to Kṛṣṇa. When we have that experience of "I'm attracted to Kṛṣṇa, and all I want is Kṛṣṇa," it doesn't matter externally how entangled we are. Once that decision is there within the heart, due to this transformation from Madana-Mohan, then we're going back to Godhead. ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

Cc Madhya 19.151-164 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/19/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Māyā is so strong, too. If people get bad association, they become sentimental and they stop. They can develop all kinds of anarthas, some of which are: "Well, devotional service is antiquated, and there are other more modern ways, although they're the same old thing, rehashed. It's all been done in previous millenniums." This is just people trying to find ways to explore their spirituality aside from following the four regulatory principles and chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa. Then, after being beaten by Māyā severely, people often come back and realize that they had something very valuable. It's not a great idea, however, to go away for such a long period of time, because one can really lose one's momentum and the opportunity of putting together at least one full lifetime, from pillar to post, where one takes advantage of the process. Which is the best idea. This is the sum and substance of the teachings of the Bhagavad Gītā: "To seriously consider surrendering completely to Kṛṣṇa". We may feel, as Prabhupāda mentioned in the purport, "How might I do this?" But he says, "Such a consideration is useless. Just do it." And if you can't do it, as my mom used to tell me, "Why don't you sit there and think about it?" It's an amazing experience if you think about this verse. If you sit down to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa, and then you think, "Sarva-dharmān parityajya. Kṛṣṇa is the Supreme Personality of Godhead. I'm helpless. He's offering to handle all my affairs. What if I really did surrender? What if I just let go of every conception of helping myself? And I simply thought, Kṛṣṇa, I leave it all to you. I'm sold out 100% to you, and I'll just live my life like that from now on." If you just think about it, you'll feel exhilarated. You might not even do it in that very second, but thinking about it and doing it is almost exactly the same thing. Therefore, Kṛṣṇa saved us. He saved the whole world just by speaking this verse. And if you can put it in a locket around your neck—if you can imprint it on your consciousness and breathe it at every moment and think, "My only solace in life is Kṛṣṇa speaking this verse and offering me an opportunity to accept Him wholly and solely as my maintainer, protector, and the soul of my soul"—that's where real happiness will come from. When we come to see Kṛṣṇa and He glances on us and we see His beautiful form, then we are looking at the ultimate object of meditation. If we drive through Jaipur, we'll see many signboards, and everyone's trying to catch our attention to look at something. Maybe there's Coca-Cola, and they have a picture of some attractive-looking person drinking sugar water. They are not going to look so good in a few years, I guarantee you. And they are hoping that that will catch our attention and we'll say, "Okay, I would like to look like that." And everywhere we look, there's something for our eyes to fall upon. So the perfection of the eyes is to come and see Kṛṣṇa in the temple, and then chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. And these two things together—coming and seeing Kṛṣṇa, worshiping Kṛṣṇa, ringing the bell, bowing down, offering flowers, and chanting Hare Kṛṣṇa—these are like two tracks on a train track. And where does the train go? Straight back to Goloka Vṛndāvana. So we are all on that train right now. Just look around—all the compartments are not even filled. We can put more people on this train! And the way the train goes, you load everybody on, and the way the train goes, you go see Kṛṣṇa, and then you chant, Hare Kṛṣṇa. And then the train takes you back home, back to God, and you forget about all the Coca-Cola signs in the world and all the clamor here in the material world. It's Much Ado About Nothing. There's nothing really going on in the material world that is of interest to the soul whatsoever. It's a big fake out. So we have this opportunity together that's quite exhilarating. Don't you think? We could do this for days! Yes, we could do it for months! ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #kartikimmersionretreat #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------

Cc Madhya 17.128-185 https://vedabase.io/en/library/cc/madhya/17/advanced-view/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Expectation is the mother of disappointment. If we can be appreciative of what we have in every moment, instead of being expectant of one thing or another.. Right now, we can appreciate everything. It's possible to appreciate everything, veritably. We live in the middle of an ocean of miracles. The very fact that we're alive—we can perceive things, we can use our tongue to chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. I saw a little chipmunk this morning when I was walking out on the driveway, and one of those little berries had fallen down from the tree and got smashed on the ground, and he was down there licking it with his tongue, and I could see his tongue. And I thought, 'Chipmunk tongue: it's pretty small, but he's getting a taste from that little berry goo on the ground.' And I was thinking, 'I'm glad I don't have a chipmunk tongue, because all he can do is taste a nut or a berry, but I can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa.' That's a miracle. Something that Vṛndāvana dāsa Ṭhākur points out: there are all kinds of tongues in the world. The human tongue is the only one that can chant Hare Kṛṣṇa. So, if we just start where we are, Kṛṣṇa says that sve sve ′dhikaˉre yaˉ niṣṭhaˉ sa guṇaḥ parikıˉrtitaḥ (SB 11.20.26): appreciate what you have right now. Don't worry about the future, and progress will come in due course of time.
