'Māyā-mṛgaṁ dayitayepsitam anvadhāvat' - Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu chases after the conditioned souls to embrace them and bring them back to Godhead. He'll take anybody back to God who wants to go. But Lord Nityānanda will even take those people who don't want to go. Śrī Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Lord Nityānanda are the most merciful of all incarnations in the world. Even māyāvādīs with stone-like hearts, when they hear the names Nitāi and Gaura, begin to cry and dance in ecstasy. Let the whole world hear the sound of their Holy Names by going door to door, everywhere we go, every person we meet, give them an opportunity to take this train back home, back to Godhead. And already, if we listen very carefully, we can hear people who have been weeping in their apartments, lonely after hearing about Lord Caitanya Mahāprabhu there's a sound vibration coming up. If we listen really carefully, we can hear it now: Gaura Kṛpā Hole he, Gaura Kṛpā Hole he, oh, for the mercy of Lord Caitanya! ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

In Vṛndāvan, the devotees depend exclusively on Kṛṣṇa and the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam begins speaking about the holy name in the first chapter: āpannaḥ saṁsṛtiṁ ghorāṁ yan-nāma vivaśo gṛṇan tataḥ sadyo vimucyeta yad bibheti svayaṁ bhayam (SB 1.1.14) If anyone feels fear in their heart—and who doesn't, here in the material world?—bhayaṁ dvitīyābhiniveśataḥ syād. Fear arises at every moment when we forget Kṛṣṇa, as Śrīmad Bhāgavatam says, "To be free from fear and achieve all safety, call out the name of the Lord." So now we're all together in this sanctified place—more mahamantras chanted here than any other hotel in Orlando, Florida. Let's banish all fear from our hearts once and for all. Are you ready? We're going to raise our arms in the air as high as we can in one second, and we're all going to say "Kṛṣṇa!" But really say it with a feeling of, "Kṛṣṇa, please give me shelter." Śrīla Jīva Goswāmī says in one of his commentaries that the pure devotees of The Lord always remember Kṛṣṇa's promise in the Bhagavad-Gītā: "sarva-dharmān parityajya mām ekaṁ śaraṇaṁ vraja ahaṁ tvāṁ sarva-pāpebhyo mokṣayiṣyāmi mā śucaḥ (BG 18.66)" We're tired of the material world, right? We're not going to take it anymore, right? We only want Kṛṣṇa, right? And now let's put our arms in the air all at once. We'll say "Kṛṣṇa!" as loud as we can. One, two, three: KṚṢṆA! ------------------------------------------------------------ To connect with His Grace Vaiśeṣika Dāsa, please visit https://www.fanthespark.com/next-steps/ask-vaisesika-dasa/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Add to your wisdom literature collection: https://iskconsv.com/book-store/ https://www.bbtacademic.com/books/ https://thefourquestionsbook.com/ ------------------------------------------------------------ Join us live on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/FanTheSpark/ Podcasts: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/sound-bhakti/id1132423868 For the latest videos, subscribe https://www.youtube.com/@FanTheSpark For the latest in SoundCloud: https://soundcloud.com/fan-the-spark ------------------------------------------------------------ #kirtan #sadhusanga #spiritualmusic #musicforsoul #soulfulmusic #spiritualawakening #soul #spiritualexperience #spiritualpurposeoflife #spiritualgrowthlessons #secretsofspirituality #vaisesikaprabhu #vaisesikadasa #vaisesikaprabhulectures #spirituality #bhaktiyoga #krishna #spiritualpurposeoflife #krishnaspirituality #spiritualusachannel #whybhaktiisimportant #whyspiritualityisimportant #vaisesika #spiritualconnection #thepowerofspiritualstudy #selfrealization #spirituallectures #spiritualstudy #spiritualquestions #spiritualquestionsanswered #trendingspiritualtopics #fanthespark #spiritualpowerofmeditation #spiritualteachersonyoutube #spiritualhabits #spiritualclarity #bhagavadgita #srimadbhagavatam #spiritualbeings #kttvg #keepthetranscendentalvibrationgoing #spiritualpurpose

'Brahmāṇḍa bhramite kono bhāgyavān jīva guru-kṛṣṇa-kṛpāya pāya bhakti-latā-bīja' (CC. Madhya 19.151) means we are aimlessly moving from one body to the next, one universe to the next, and then, by the grace of Kṛṣṇa, one gets a guru, by the grace of the Guru, one gets Kṛṣṇa. And so, Lord Nityānanda is the original guru, and he reveals the importance of Śrī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu to all the devotees and reveals that He's the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Caitanya Mahāprabhu took sanyāsa and He headed for this place, Jagannātha Puri. And this is a stop before you get to Puri. It's about six miles away. Of course, they were walking; this is pretty far along from Navadvīpa when they stopped here. From the Caitanya Charitāmrita you will note that they stopped in various places and what did they do? They engaged in Kṛṣṇa Kathā. In fact Nityānanda had heard from others the story of Kṣīra-corā gopīnātha. He told that story here, and the devotees just enjoyed it. Everything was going fine until Śrī Chaitanya Mahāprabhu asked Nityānanda to hold his dandā. You know when you ask somebody to hold your bead bag and say you'll be right back? Then you come back and say, "Where's my bag?" "Oh, I don't have it anymore." I never had that happen, but somebody actually cut off my śikhā when they were helping buzz me up. Since then, I learned how to do it myself. They thought it was funny. I didn't think it was that funny. They were like, "ha ha ha, it'll grow back." It's a big deal to a brahmacārī, okay? So, Nityānanda had broken his dandā in three parts and threw it away, apparently in this river. When Caitanya Mahāprabhu came back and asked for His dandā, Nitai said, "You know, you broke it because you were in ecstasy. I tried to save you from fainting, and we both fell on the dandā and it broke and now it's gone." He had different excuses for why the dandā was gone. Now both Vṛndāvana Dāsa Ṭhākura and ā Dāsa Kavirāja Gosvāmī, and then our ācāryas like Śrīla Bhaktisiddhānta Sarasvatī Ṭhākura, mention the importance of this pastime. It is still enigmatic, even though they give different descriptions, because it's enigmatic in and of itself that Supreme is one, but He expands Himself into many. That's why I brought up that verse 'Vadanti tat tattva-vidas tattvaṁ yaj jñānam advayam' in an attempt to build a foundational basis for this talk today. Because there's a way in which it's incomprehensible how the Supreme is everything and He is one, advaya but at the same time he has variety. But it makes a lot of sense to me anyway because the Supreme is all-cognizant, full of bliss, eternality, and ānanda. and that's why I also mentioned that for there to be ananda there has to be loving relationship. So, how is this a significant and loving relationship between Caitanya Mahāprabhu and Lord Nityānanda? Why did He break the dandā? Even more mysteriously, why did Caitanya Mahāprabhu dictate from within that Nityānanda should break the dandā? It is even more curious why Caitanya Mahāprabhu then became angry if he's the one, as Vṛndāvana Dāsa Ṭhākura says, who inspired Nitāi to break it the first place? When the soulful rhythms of Kirtan music and the rich wisdom of Bhakti Yoga merge, a portal to spiritual ecstasy opens. For this episode I had the privilege of sitting down with Vijay Krishna from the Kirtaniyas, whose life story is as enchanting as the mantras he chants. Vijay's journey is a testament to the transformative power of devotional music. His insight into balancing the reverence for tradition with the vibrancy of personal expression invites us all to find our unique spiritual cadence. Together, we traversed the narrative landscapes from his birth, cradled by mantras, to the magic of performing Kirtan in unexpected venues across the globe. Our discussion ventured into the heart of Bhakti Yoga (The Yoga of Devotion), underscoring the embracing of the beautiful nature of this path. Vijay's experiences as a mixed-race individual in the world of sacred music reveal the universality of mantras beyond cultural divides, inviting us to embrace a broader perspective on devotion and inclusivity.Embark on this sonorous journey where we shed light on the intimate ripples of evening ragas along India's sacred rivers, the electrifying fusion of Kirtan with contemporary genres, and celebrate unity through diversity.IN THIS EPISODE WE DISCUSS:

Today's daf is sponsored by Doda Rochie, Unky Marc and the whole crew in honor of Ariel and her chatan, chayal Nitai on their wedding day and to Ariel's parents Eric and Geelit, and their entire family. "We are filled with joy that the long-awaited day is finally here. Although we are heartbroken that this war has prevented us from standing physically by your side today, we are standing with you, wishing you a wedding day filled with simcha and the bracha that you build a bayit neeman b'Yisrael, a land where there is only peace and contentment. It is our greatest hope that by your wedding day there will be peace and we will somehow be able to join you. Either way, please know that you are deeply loved and we are always here for you." Today's daf is sponsored by the Hadran Women of Long Island in honor of the birth of a granddaughter in Jerusalem to their friend and co-learner (& hostess extraordinaire), Malkie Klein Spitz. "As Leora and Sammy welcome the new addition, we daven that the Jewish nation celebrate many smachot in peace. More opinions are brought showing there are others who hold that one can acquire davar shelo ba l'olam - something not is existence at the time. The Mishna brings a case of a man who betroths a woman conditioned upon doing something of monetary value for her. There is a discussion in the Gemara about whether the Mishna is a standard case of conditional betrothal and it is a case where he also gave her an object of monetary value or is the betrothal effected through the value of the work he promised to do. The Mishna discusses what happens if the man conditions the betrothal on his father's consent. What if the father or the son dies before the father verbally consented? The Mishna brings cases where the father or the daughter say they are betrothed but don't remember to whom. What is the difference between the two cases?

The Mishna brings a case of a man who betroths a woman conditioned upon doing something of monetary value for her. There is a discussion in the Gemara about whether the Mishna is a standard case of conditional betrothal and it is a case where he also gave her an object of monetary value or is the betrothal effected through the value of the work he promised to do. The Mishna discusses what happens if the man conditions the betrothal on his father's consent. What if the father or the son dies before the father verbally consented? The Mishna brings cases where the father or the daughter say they are betrothed but don't remember to whom. What is the difference between the two cases?

What does it mean for a prominent American politician to come into power as the sleeper cell of an eccentric Hindu-American cult? Does she act independently, or has her God-man got her on speed-dial? Can she bridge the divide between left and right with the radiant glow of Krishna consciousness? Joining us today to help answer these questions is Nitai Joseph. He shares some heritage with Gabbard, because he also grew up in a Hare Krishna sect. He holds an MSc. in the Psychology of Coercive Control and has worked across a range of issues connected to ideology and manipulation, including cultic awareness, child sexual abuse prevention, adverse meditation experiences, and organizational ethics and accountability. A little meditation never hurt anyone... right? Lola and Meagan chat with former Hare Krishna monk Nitai Joseph about meditation and how it isn't necessarily always the cure-all it's cracked up to be. They discuss Sam Harris, whether you can divorce meditation from its religious roots, and the work Nitai does with Cheetah House to help those with adverse meditation experiences. Nitai's passion is supporting individuals in removing limiting beliefs and trauma so they can fully BE themselves. At the age of 28, she lost her father and aunt (who was like a second mother), within a year of each other to terminal cancer. Taking on the role of caregiver to her father in his final months led her to explore how she could assist others in times of death and transformation. In the following years, Nitai received her Masters's in Gender and Sexuality from Trinity College Dublin, her yoga teaching and Women's Holistic Sexual Health certifications. Her work with trauma and resilience includes crisis counseling at the Dublin Rape Crisis Center, and group curriculum building and facilitating at a dual diagnosis outpatient drug rehab center. She currently creates and leads workshops on resilience, grief recovery, and sexuality & identity and supports people through transitions through guidance sessions and private psychedelic healing journeys.
