Welcome to Multiverse News, Your source for information about all your favorite fictional Universes. It's a light news week, so we're entertaining a bit of an unsubstantiated rumor coming from reputable insider Daniel Richtman, who suggested that Wesley Snipes could reprise his role as Blade ‘at some point in the MCU's Multiverse Saga. Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy is making its way back to the big screen this summer; as Warner Bros and Fathom Events re-releases the films in theaters beginning with The Fellowship of the Ring on June 8, then The Two Towers on June 9, followed by The Return of the King on June 10. The animated film The War of the Rohirrim also hits theaters in December and Amazon it's expected to air the second season of The Rings of Power sometime in the fall or winter. During his new profile with Vanity Fair, Chris Hemsworth reflected on his career and his work on Thor: Love & Thunder, specifically. The actor described his performance as ‘too silly' and opined that he had become a parody of himself. Hemsworth said he feels he owes fans another Thor film to make up for Love & Thunder's failings and described his upcoming role in Furiosa as something starkly contrasting his most popular roles. Revealed during an exclusive expose from The Wrap Dwayne Johnson's latest film project, Red One, has faced significant challenges, including production delays and budget overruns, with costs ballooning to over $250 million due to various issues, primarily citing Johnson's chronic lateness and lack of professionalism on set. Despite Amazon MGM denying on-set issues, Johnson's history of lateness and conflicts with co-stars have been well-documented, raising questions about his work ethic. Challengers took the number one spot at the box office this weekend with a $15 million dollar opening. Disney released the trailer and official logline for Mufasa: The Lion King, which premieres Dec. 20. A set photo and comments from the actor himself on a podcast, have confirmed Jeff Bridges is returning for Tron: Ares Netflix is close to finalizing a deal for a live-action Scooby-Doo series based on the beloved Hanna-Barbera cartoon, with exact plot details kept secret. Warner Bros. Television will produce the one-hour drama, with Josh Appelbaum, Scott Rosenberg, and others attached as writers and executive producers. Deadpool & Wolverine director Shawn Levy, while speaking with the Associated Press the filmmaker likened watching films to homework, saying, “I was a good student in school. I'll do my homework as an adult. But I am definitely not looking to do homework when I go to the movies.” The quote reaffirmed that prior knowledge would not be an obligation for the movie. Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Ralph Fiennes are set to star in the long-awaited sequel, 28 Years Later. Directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland, the film marks the return of the original team, with Cillian Murphy serving as executive producer, aiming to expand the franchise into a trilogy. Julia Garner, known for her Emmy-winning role in Ozark, is set to star opposite Josh Brolin in the upcoming horror film Weapons from director Zach Cregger. Garner's rising star continues to shine as she lands major roles, including playing the Silver Surfer in Marvel's upcoming Fantastic Four. Independent distributor Vertical released a trailer for The Exorcism starring Russell Crowe as a troubled actor who begins to unravel while working on a supernatural horror film. Sony has moved Kraven the Hunter to the prime winter spot of Dec. 13, 2024 (back from Aug. 30, 2024). Kraven steps into a date that was occupied by fellow Sony pic The Karate Kid, a crossover event movie starring Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan. Karate Kid now moves to May 30, 2025 In an IP rights deal with game company Hasbro, Sony has gained the exclusive TV and film rights to the board game Clue.

The 3 of them go through discussing the extended editions of this iconic trilogy, and they get into it all: Character breakdowns, differences in the extended & theatrical, a debate on if these could ever be remade, and the trial of Faramir (because yeah, he might not be host Spencer's favorite.) [School of Movies 2022] We've been planning Narnia shows for many years. This was a very special book series to me as a child, informing on my worldview and writing. It was also the first long-form live action fantasy series I watched on television, as the BBC production which ran from November 1988 to December 1991 adapted four books over three 6-episode seasons. I always wondered why they stopped at The Silver Chair. Later I began to understand the kind of scope and budgets and potentially thorny territory that the remaining three stories would entail. The quaint, very British project was already more ambitious than anyone would have expected.  After that were many long years of waiting for a cinematic incarnation (not counting the insanely cheap and rushed 1979 animated version). The achievement and success of New Line's Lord of the Rings films at the same time as Warner's Harry Potter imbued Disney with a desire to seek out its own epic fantasy series to bring in all the dollars.  While compared unfavourably with Weta's perfectly magnificent Rings Trilogy it is frankly amazing that the director of the first two Shrek films was able to achieve something in this 2005 film which both surpassed my experience of reading the book, and even my loftily-soaring imagination of what the events could look, sound and feel like. We will be covering the duet of films that followed in 2008 and 2010 and lingering cancellation of the seven-part series next year.  Guest: Nama Chibitty @namathenerd

So begins one of the most beloved and delightful tales in the English language—Tolkien's prelude to The Lord of the Rings. Set in the imaginary world of Middle-earth, at once a classic myth and a modern fairy tale, The Hobbit is one of literature's most enduring and well-loved novels. Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely traveling any farther than his pantry or cellar. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to raid the treasure hoard guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. Bilbo reluctantly joins their quest, unaware that on his journey to the Lonely Mountain he will encounter both a magic ring and a frightening creature known as Gollum.

Inspired by The Hobbit and begun in 1937, The Lord of the Rings is a trilogy that J.R.R. Tolkien created to provide "the necessary background of history for Elvish tongues". From these academic aspirations was born one of the most popular and imaginative works in English literature. The Fellowship of the Ring, the first volume in the trilogy, tells of the fateful power of the One Ring. It begins a magnificent tale of adventure that will plunge the members of the Fellowship of the Ring into a perilous quest and set the stage for the ultimate clash between the powers of good and evil. In this splendid, unabridged audio production of Tolkien's great work, all the inhabitants of a magical universe – hobbits, elves, and wizards – step colorfully into life. Rob Inglis' narration has been praised as a masterpiece of audio.

What does it mean to truly build a brand? I'll be honest, when I first started my network marketing business, I thought that building a brand was about colors and fonts. I focused my time and energy on having a certain superficial look because that's what I thought I was supposed to do at the time.I didn't realize that I WAS THE BRAND.I didn't realize that the products and company that I partnered with should compliment MY MESSAGE . . . not the other way around. And that dragged me into a place of inauthenticity and way out of alignment. If you're feeling a little lost when it comes to building a brand that vibes with who you are and that delivers your message, then you are going to love today's podcast interview with Jordan Duvall!!She's the CEO of Ignite Your Soul Brand & the go-to Brand Alchemist for female business owners ready to build an in-demand brand infused with meaning and magnetism. She left a 20-year media and advertising career to pursue her passion of creating magnetic brands infused with personality for coaches, consultants and service-based business. And get this!! Before she said goodbye to big-time agency life, Jordan had the honor of:▶ Creating campaigns for movies & TV shows such as The Lord ofthe Rings Trilogy, Star Trek, Game of Thrones… and many more.▶ Working with private clients Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, Cards Against Humanity and Manifestation Babe.▶ Art Directing photo shoots for celebrities such as Gwen Stefani, Christina Aguilera and Jennifer LopezShe is truly a master at:Knowing how to make a powerful first impression with your brand that establishes your expertise.Skyrocketing your sales with a magnetic visual strategy that stands out from the crowd. How to create an authentic connection that inspires confidence in your soulmate clients to invest in working with you.My hope is that this interview will challenge & inspire you to dig deeper into how you want to show up in your business. Maintaining an image is draining, exhausting, and doesn't allow for true connection - with your audience or with yourself. But, waking up each day with a business that IGNITES YOUR SOUL, that creates inspired action, authenticity, and connection — it's the opposite of draining. It's empowering!
