From real estate agents to OnlyFans stars, they explore the controversial list of high-paying jobs that don't necessarily demand a high IQ—and share their own hot takes on each one. But that's just the beginning. Tricia drops a bombshell in The Story We Love: AI-generated resumes are flooding hiring systems, and companies may soon charge you just to apply for a job. Is this the future of employment—or a desperate attempt to filter out the bots? The result? A public F-bomb and a hilarious moment with Blake Lively. The digital landscape is shifting beneath our feet as free streaming services continue to vanish. Amazon's Freevee joins the growing list of casualties, leaving consumers with fewer no-cost options while paid services paradoxically charge premium prices yet still bombard viewers with advertisements. This troubling trend prompted a spirited discussion about the psychological tactics companies employ to normalize paying for content that still contains commercials.A fascinating study reveals unexpected insights about our relationships with robots possessing different personality traits. While people generally enjoy interacting with confident, extroverted AI, they find neurotic robots surprisingly relatable—even attributing emotional depth where none exists. This anthropomorphizing tendency raises important questions about how we connect with technology and the blurring lines between human and machine interaction. As one host quipped, "This is technological schizophrenia," highlighting concerns about our growing emotional dependence on artificial companions.Instagram's controversial new policy requiring 1,000 followers to live stream effectively eliminates a feature many small communities relied upon for intimate gatherings. This fundamental shift away from Instagram's original purpose of connecting small groups mirrors broader changes across social media, where platforms continually modify features to prioritize growth and revenue over community building. Yet despite frequent controversial changes, these platforms maintain their user bases, demonstrating the powerful hold they have on our digital social lives. The episode also explores Natura AI, a polarizing new product combining earbuds with an AI assistant that responds to voice commands throughout the day. While one host saw potential benefits in having information instantly available, the other condemned it as promoting social disconnection. This tension between technological convenience and human connection underscores the central theme running through the show—how we navigate the complex relationship between innovation and our fundamental need for authentic human experience.Support the show

The film follows Jason Bowden, a young man battling addiction, who is sent to live with hisestranged grandfather, Griff Bowden, a solitary Vietnam veteran. Together, they confront theirpasts and seek redemption. Shot in Virginia, this neo-western drama delves into themes of family, forgiveness, andfaith. David Alford Joseph Stam David started Cross Purposes Productions in 2019 and has been a driving force behind the production of all four of their films. Married for 33 years to his incredible wife, Stephanie, he is the father of three adult children and three grandchildren. After graduating from the University of Texas with a Bachelor of Science in Radio-Television and Film in the early nineties, David worked in Christian radio in both Austin and Dallas Texas in both the Christian music format (Program director/on-air talent) as well as the talk format (on-air talent). When kids came along, David became to a public high school English teacher to be home more with his kids. While homeschooling his three children, he spent five years acting and directing in the San Antonio theatre scene and eventually became a professional actor at the Barter Theatre in Abingdon, Virgina where he worked in the resident acting company for six years. Shortly before Covid hit, he took a hiatus from the stage and wrote his first screenplay for a short film. He produced it locally with some friends and submitted it to film festivals where it received numerous awards in the U.S. and internationally and well as a Global distribution deal. Since then, he has produced three more award-winning, feature length films that have gone on to be distributed worldwide and seen by millions of people on some of the largest streaming and satellite platforms in the world. His work has been voice dubbed into Portugueses and subtitled into many languages including Hindi to reach a larger global audience.Joseph grew up, with a theatrical streak encouraged by his mother, and as a film enthusiast encouraged by his older brother (who is now a film editor.) He took the stage as Peter Pan when he was eight years old and never stopped. All the while he made home movies with his siblings, roping them into telling his stories. At sixteen years of age, Joseph was cast in his first short film, Cross Purposes. Working on a film set was a dream come true. Curious about everything involved in filmmaking, he started honing his writing and directing skills and eventually joined Cross Purposes Production's creative team behind the camera for their next three full length films. Joseph has been recognized as an outstanding youth actor as well as an award-winning adult actor. Appearing in major Christian film festivals across the U.S. and internationally, Joseph's film work can be seen globally on platforms such as Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Tubi, Pureflix, Up Faith and Family, Roku, Sling, Plex, Hoopla, AMC On demand, and FreeVee. The holidays are coming up very soon, and it's time to get in a festive mood! If you're on a budget but still want to get into the holiday spirit, here are some activities you can do.   Links: Watch free movies (with ads) on Tubi & Freevee Learn more about VolunteerMatch Check out TCU University for more financial education tips and resources!  Follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter!  Learn more about Triangle Credit Union Transcript: Welcome to Money Tip Tuesday from the Making Money Personal podcast.       Watching festive movies is a great way to get into the holiday spirit. Set up a movie night with friends and family and watch your favorite holiday classics or find a new favorite! Movies are a great way to celebrate the holidays on a budget, as they are relatively cheap, or even free. Streaming services like Tubi or Freevee have a large selection of holiday movies that you can watch free with ads.    Another great way to celebrate the holidays on a budget is to bake and decorate cookies. Buying all the ingredients you need at a store is relatively cheap. If you hesitate to do this because you're not good at baking, you can also buy plain cookies and decorate them yourself. Make it an event and invite your loved ones to help decorate the baked goods with you. Similarly, you can buy gingerbread house kits to decorate and display around the house.   You can also explore other fun ways to decorate your home for the season. String up colorful lights or some garland inside and out. You can purchase affordable decorations at a budget store or make some on your own. Find templates and patterns for paper snowflakes, fabric decorations, paper chains and other types of homemade decor. If you don't have the space for a tree in your house, take some time and decorate a tree outside and if there's snow on the ground, make a snowman with a fun outfit to add to the festivities.   If you're in need of some inspiration take some time to see how other people are decorating for the holidays. Get in your vehicle and go for a drive around neighborhoods at night. Lots of people put up holiday decorations outside for people to look at, and sometimes you can find holiday "tours" online that show which neighborhoods go all out on their decorating. If you're feeling brave, knock on some doors in your local neighborhood to sing a few holiday carols.   You can also get into the holiday spirit by volunteering. Show goodwill to others this season by helping. Visit VolunteerMatch.com for a list of organizations near you that are in need of volunteers. Look for a cause you're passionate about and start helping!   However you celebrate, there are many ways to get into a festive mood, even on a budget. Let us know how you like to celebrate the holidays, and if you have any special traditions that you love to do!    If there are any other tips or topics you'd like us to cover, let us know at tcupodcast@trianglecu.org. Also, remember to like and follow our Making Money Personal Facebook and Instagram to share your thoughts. Today on Too Opinionated, we chat with actress Lisa Berry!  Among her notable appearances, she has had the privilege of portraying "Billie" (also known as "Death") in the beloved sci-fi/fantasy series, Supernatural. Her performances as "Cleophas Garroway" in Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments, "Nellie Bullock" in Bad Blood, and "Natashia" in Workin' Moms have also allowed her to connect with a wider audience. Lisa's participation in the well-received horror anthology, Slasher further showcases her versatility as an actress. Looking forward, Lisa is excited to play one of the leads in Freevee's upcoming series, Beyond Black Beauty and will make a guest appearance in the highly anticipated new show Nesting, created by the talented Anna Hardwick and Rosa Labordé.  Beyond Black Beauty follows young equestrian Jolie Dumont, whose Olympic dreams are dashed when her mother moves them from Belgium to her family's urban ranch in Baltimore. An angry Jolie wants to escape until she bonds with a spirited horse named Black Beauty. Lisa Berry portrays Yvonne Parrish, a character central to the story's exploration of heritage and belonging. Yvonne's life is one of quiet resilience, shaped by the sacrifices she's made and the roots she's cultivated in her hometown.  In addition to acting, Lisa is also a dedicated spiritual and creative coach. She works with a wide range of artists, including actors, writers, painters, and designers, helping them navigate the challenges of creative burnout. Lisa's coaching practice, Take a Breath, is set to relaunch in November, offering practical tools and community support for those looking to strengthen their spiritual and creative practices.   Want to watch: YouTube Meisterkhan Pod (Please Subscribe)

Let this episode be your primer, however! And your jumping off point to watching the entire series on YouTube! “It Only Hurts When I'm Gay” (October 25, 1985) On paper, the idea of a sitcom taking on the subject of gay bashing seems like the worst idea, but somehow Brothers — TV's first gay sitcom — manages to tell a real story about violence against gay people while avoiding the hokey “very special episode” tropes. We're as shocked as anyone how good this turned out, and what's more, it's genuinely funny without underselling the gravity of the attack. You can now watch Glen's movie, Being Frank, on Freevee via Amazon Prime. WATCH IT NOW! Please, watch this episode (and other Brothers episodes!) on YouTube. Season 3, Episode 1. On a quiet Friday morning in September of 1998 a 17 year old girl named Aimee walked into the Police Department in Bismarck, North Dakota. The young woman said she wasn't exactly sure, but she had a hunch that her 18 year old boyfriend Brian might have hurt his mother and father. Not a problem, said Bismarck Police, a simple welfare check would set this story straight. ‘The story' wasn't set straight though. But what exactly had happened? And where were the boy's parents? Perhaps this girl Aimee and her many friends would help the police find answers. Certainly anyone would want to help find answers, wouldn't they?
